Deuteronomy 7:3
3
Neither
shalt
thou
make
marriages
with
them;
thy
daughter
thou
shalt
not
give
unto
his
son,
nor
his
daughter
shalt
thou
take
unto
thy
son.
Deuteronomy 32:21
21
They
have
moved
me
to
jealousy
with
that
which
is
not
God;
they
have
provoked
me
to
anger
with
their
vanities:
and
I
will
move
them
to
jealousy
with
those
which
are
not
a
people;
I
will
provoke
them
to
anger
with
a
foolish
nation.
Joshua 6:26
26
And
Joshua
adjured
them
at
that
time,
saying,
Cursed
be
the
man
before
the
LORD,
that
riseth
up
and
buildeth
this
city
Jericho:
he
shall
lay
the
foundation
thereof
in
his
firstborn,
and
in
his
youngest
son
shall
he
set
up
the
gates
of
it.
Judges 18:7
7
Then
the
five
men
departed,
and
came
to
Laish,
and
saw
the
people
that
were
therein,
how
they
dwelt
careless,
after
the
manner
of
the
Zidonians,
quiet
and
secure;
and
there
was
no
magistrate
in
the
land,
that
might
put
them
to
shame
in
any
thing;
and
they
were
far
from
the
Zidonians,
and
had
no
business
with
any
man.
1 Samuel 12:21
21
And
turn
ye

aside:
for
then
should
ye
go
after
vain
things,
which
cannot
profit
nor
deliver;
for
they
are
vain.
1 Samuel 25:22
22
So

1 Kings 12:28
28
Whereupon
the
king

counsel,
and
made
two
calves
of
gold,
and
said
unto
them,
It

Jerusalem:

thy
gods,
O
Israel,
which
brought
thee
up
out
of
the
land
of
Egypt.
1 Kings 13:32

against
the
altar
in
Bethel,
and
against
all

the

are
in
the

of

shall
surely
come
to
pass.
1 Kings 14:17

came
to
Tirzah:
and
when
she
came
to

the

1 Kings 15:34
34
And
he

evil
in
the
sight

Jeroboam,
and
in
his
sin
wherewith
he
made
Israel
to
sin.

1 Kings 21:26
26
And
he

very
abominably
in
following

whom
the
LORD
cast
out
before
the
children
of
Israel.
2 Kings 9:31

they

made
it
a

house
unto
this
day.
2 Kings 13:6

Nevertheless
they

not
from
the

of
the

made
Israel

but
walked
therein:
and
there
remained
the

in
Samaria.)

from
Hamath,

them
in
the

and
they
possessed
Samaria,
and
dwelt
in
the
cities
thereof.
2 Kings 21:3

For
he

up
again
the
high
places
which
Hezekiah
his
father
had
destroyed;
and
he
reared
up
altars
for
Baal,
and

as
did
Ahab
king
of
Israel;
and
worshipped
all
the
host
of
heaven,
and
served
them.

to
Asa
king
of
Judah.
2 Chronicles 19:2

And
Jehu
the
son
of

the

went
out
to
meet
him,
and
said
to
king
Jehoshaphat,
Shouldest
thou
help
the
ungodly,
and
love
them
that
hate
the
LORD?
therefore
is
wrath
upon
thee
from
before
the
LORD.
2 Chronicles 20:34

Now
the

last,
behold,
they

Hanani,
who

in

Isaiah 41:29

all
vanity;
their

their

confusion.

And
the
LORD

unto

Jezreel;
for
yet
a
little
while,
and
I
will
avenge
the

Micah 6:16
16
For
the
statutes
of
Omri
are
kept,
and
all
the
works
of
the
house
of
Ahab,
and
ye
walk
in
their
counsels;
that
I
should
make
thee
a
desolation,
and
the
inhabitants
thereof
an
hissing:
therefore
ye
shall
bear
the
reproach
of
my
people.

1
When
therefore
the
Lord
knew
how
the
Pharisees
had
heard
that
Jesus
made
and
baptized
more
disciples
than
John,
2
(Though
Jesus
himself
baptized
not,
but
his
disciples,)
3
He
left
Judaea,
and
departed
again
into
Galilee.
4
And
he
must
needs
go
through
Samaria.
5
Then
cometh
he
to
a
city
of
Samaria,
which
is
called
Sychar,
near
to
the
parcel
of
ground
that
Jacob
gave
to
his
son
Joseph.
6
Now
Jacob’s
well
was
there.
Jesus
therefore,
being
wearied
with
his
journey,
sat
thus
on
the
well:
and
it
was
about
the
sixth
hour.
7
There
cometh
a
woman
of
Samaria
to
draw
water:
Jesus
saith
unto
her,
Give
me
to
drink.
8
(For
his
disciples
were
gone
away
unto
the
city
to
buy
meat.)
9
Then
saith
the
woman
of
Samaria
unto
him,
How
is
it
that
thou,
being
a
Jew,
askest
drink
of
me,
which
am
a
woman
of
Samaria?
for
the
Jews
have
no
dealings
with
the
Samaritans.
10
Jesus
answered
and
said
unto
her,
If
thou
knewest
the
gift
of
God,
and
who
it
is
that
saith
to
thee,
Give
me
to
drink;
thou
wouldest
have
asked
of
him,
and
he
would
have
given
thee
living
water.
11
The
woman
saith
unto
him,
Sir,
thou
hast
nothing
to
draw
with,
and
the
well
is
deep:
from
whence
then
hast
thou
that
living
water?
12
Art
thou
greater
than
our
father
Jacob,
which
gave
us
the
well,
and
drank
thereof
himself,
and
his
children,
and
his
cattle?
13
Jesus
answered
and
said
unto
her,
Whosoever
drinketh
of
this
water
shall
thirst
again:
14
But
whosoever
drinketh
of
the
water
that
I
shall
give
him
shall
never
thirst;
but
the
water
that
I
shall
give
him
shall
be
in
him
a
well
of
water
springing
up
into
everlasting
life.
15
The
woman
saith
unto
him,
Sir,
give
me
this
water,
that
I
thirst
not,
neither
come
hither
to
draw.
16
Jesus
saith
unto
her,
Go,
call
thy
husband,
and
come
hither.
17
The
woman
answered
and
said,
I
have
no
husband.
Jesus
said
unto
her,
Thou
hast
well
said,
I
have
no
husband:
18
For
thou
hast
had
five
husbands;
and
he
whom
thou
now
hast
is
not
thy
husband:
in
that
saidst
thou
truly.
19
The
woman
saith
unto
him,
Sir,
I
perceive
that
thou
art
a
prophet.
20
Our
fathers
worshipped
in
this
mountain;
and
ye
say,
that
in
Jerusalem
is
the
place
where
men
ought
to
worship.
21
Jesus
saith
unto
her,
Woman,
believe
me,
the
hour
cometh,
when
ye
shall
neither
in
this
mountain,
nor
yet
at
Jerusalem,
worship
the
Father.
22
Ye
worship
ye
know
not
what:
we
know
what
we
worship:
for
salvation
is
of
the
Jews.
23
But
the
hour
cometh,
and
now
is,
when
the
true
worshippers
shall
worship
the
Father
in
spirit
and
in
truth:
for
the
Father
seeketh
such
to
worship
him.
24
God
is
a
Spirit:
and
they
that
worship
him
must
worship
him
in
spirit
and
in
truth.
25
The
woman
saith
unto
him,
I
know
that
Messias
cometh,
which
is
called
Christ:
when
he
is
come,
he
will
tell
us
all
things.
26
Jesus
saith
unto
her,
I
that
speak
unto
thee
am
he.
27
And
upon
this
came
his
disciples,
and
marvelled
that
he
talked
with
the
woman:
yet
no
man
said,
What
seekest
thou?
or,
Why
talkest
thou
with
her?
28
The
woman
then
left
her
waterpot,
and
went
her
way
into
the
city,
and
saith
to
the
men,
29
Come,
see
a
man,
which
told
me
all
things
that
ever
I
did:
is
not
this
the
Christ?
30
Then
they
went
out
of
the
city,
and
came
unto
him.
31
In
the
mean
while
his
disciples
prayed
him,
saying,
Master,
eat.
32
But
he
said
unto
them,
I
have
meat
to
eat
that
ye
know
not
of.
33
Therefore
said
the
disciples
one
to
another,
Hath
any
man
brought
him
ought
to
eat?
34
Jesus
saith
unto
them,
My
meat
is
to
do
the
will
of
him
that
sent
me,
and
to
finish
his
work.
35
Say
not
ye,
There
are
yet
four
months,
and
then
cometh
harvest?
behold,
I
say
unto
you,
Lift
up
your
eyes,
and
look
on
the
fields;
for
they
are
white
already
to
harvest.
36
And
he
that
reapeth
receiveth
wages,
and
gathereth
fruit
unto
life
eternal:
that
both
he
that
soweth
and
he
that
reapeth
may
rejoice
together.
37
And
herein
is
that
saying
true,
One
soweth,
and
another
reapeth.
38
I
sent
you
to
reap
that
whereon
ye
bestowed
no
labour:
other
men
laboured,
and
ye
are
entered
into
their
labours.
39
And
many
of
the
Samaritans
of
that
city
believed
on
him
for
the
saying
of
the
woman,
which
testified,
He
told
me
all
that
ever
I
did.
40
So
when
the
Samaritans
were
come
unto
him,
they
besought
him
that
he
would
tarry
with
them:
and
he
abode
there
two
days.
41
And
many
more
believed
because
of
his
own
word;
42
And
said
unto
the
woman,
Now
we
believe,
not
because
of
thy
saying:
for
we
have
heard
him
ourselves,
and
know
that
this
is
indeed
the
Christ,
the
Saviour
of
the
world.
43
Now
after
two
days
he
departed
thence,
and
went
into
Galilee.
44
For
Jesus
himself
testified,
that
a
prophet
hath
no
honour
in
his
own
country.
45
Then
when
he
was
come
into
Galilee,
the
Galilaeans
received
him,
having
seen
all
the
things
that
he
did
at
Jerusalem
at
the
feast:
for
they
also
went
unto
the
feast.
46
So
Jesus
came
again
into
Cana
of
Galilee,
where
he
made
the
water
wine.
And
there
was
a
certain
nobleman,
whose
son
was
sick
at
Capernaum.
47
When
he
heard
that
Jesus
was
come
out
of
Judaea
into
Galilee,
he
went
unto
him,
and
besought
him
that
he
would
come
down,
and
heal
his
son:
for
he
was
at
the
point
of
death.
48
Then
said
Jesus
unto
him,
Except
ye
see
signs
and
wonders,
ye
will
not
believe.
49
The
nobleman
saith
unto
him,
Sir,
come
down
ere
my
child
die.
50
Jesus
saith
unto
him,
Go
thy
way;
thy
son
liveth.
And
the
man
believed
the
word
that
Jesus
had
spoken
unto
him,
and
he
went
his
way.
51
And
as
he
was
now
going
down,
his
servants
met
him,
and
told
him,
saying,
Thy
son
liveth.
52
Then
enquired
he
of
them
the
hour
when
he
began
to
amend.
And
they
said
unto
him,
Yesterday
at
the
seventh
hour
the
fever
left
him.
53
So
the
father
knew
that
it
was
at
the
same
hour,
in
the
which
Jesus
said
unto
him,
Thy
son
liveth:
and
himself
believed,
and
his
whole
house.
54
This
is
again
the
second
miracle
that
Jesus
did,
when
he
was
come
out
of
Judaea
into
Galilee.
1 Corinthians 8:4
4
As
concerning
therefore
the
eating
of
those
things
that
are
offered
in
sacrifice
unto
idols,
we
know
that
an
idol
is
nothing
in
the
world,
and
that
there
is
none
other
God
but
one.
1 Corinthians 10:19
19
What
say
I
then?
that
the
idol
is
any
thing,
or
that
which
is
offered
in
sacrifice
to
idols
is
any
thing?
Revelation 2:20
20
Notwithstanding
I
have
a
few
things
against
thee,
because
thou
sufferest
that
woman
Jezebel,
which
calleth
herself
a
prophetess,
to
teach
and
to
seduce
my
servants
to
commit
fornication,
and
to
eat
things
sacrificed
unto
idols.

1
When
therefore
the
Lord
knew
that
the
Pharisees
heard
that
Jesus
more
disciples
doth
make
and
baptize
than
John,
2
(though
indeed
Jesus
himself
was
not
baptizing,
but
his
disciples,)
3
he
left
Judea
and
went
away
again
to
Galilee,
4
and
it
was
behoving
him
to
go
through
Samaria.
5
He
cometh,
therefore,
to
a
city
of
Samaria,
called
Sychar,
near
to
the
place
that
Jacob
gave
to
Joseph
his
son;
6
and
there
was
there
a
well
of
Jacob.
Jesus
therefore
having
been
weary
from
the
journeying,
was
sitting
thus
on
the
well;
it
was
as
it
were
the
sixth
hour;
7
there
cometh
a
woman
out
of
Samaria
to
draw
water.
Jesus
saith
to
her,
`Give
me
to
drink;`
8
for
his
disciples
were
gone
away
to
the
city,
that
they
may
buy
victuals;
9
the
Samaritan
woman
therefore
saith
to
him,
`How
dost
thou,
being
a
Jew,
ask
drink
from
me,
being
a
Samaritan
woman?`
for
Jews
have
no
dealing
with
Samaritans.
10
Jesus
answered
and
said
to
her,
`If
thou
hadst
known
the
gift
of
God,
and
who
it
is
who
is
saying
to
thee,
Give
me
to
drink,
thou
wouldest
have
asked
him,
and
he
would
have
given
thee
living
water.`
11
The
woman
saith
to
him,
`Sir,
thou
hast
not
even
a
vessel
to
draw
with,
and
the
well
is
deep;
whence,
then,
hast
thou
the
living
water?
12
Art
thou
greater
than
our
father
Jacob,
who
did
give
us
the
well,
and
himself
out
of
it
did
drink,
and
his
sons,
and
his
cattle?`
13
Jesus
answered
and
said
to
her,
`Every
one
who
is
drinking
of
this
water
shall
thirst
again;
14
but
whoever
may
drink
of
the
water
that
I
will
give
him,
may
not
thirst
--
to
the
age;
and
the
water
that
I
will
give
him
shall
become
in
him
a
well
of
water,
springing
up
to
life
age-during.`
15
The
woman
saith
unto
him,
`Sir,
give
me
this
water,
that
I
may
not
thirst,
nor
come
hither
to
draw.`
16
Jesus
saith
to
her,
`Go,
call
thy
husband,
and
come
hither;`
17
the
woman
answered
and
said,
`I
have
not
a
husband.`
Jesus
saith
to
her,
`Well
didst
thou
say
--
A
husband
I
have
not;
18
for
five
husbands
thou
hast
had,
and,
now,
he
whom
thou
hast
is
not
thy
husband;
this
hast
thou
said
truly.`
19
The
woman
saith
to
him,
`Sir,
I
perceive
that
thou
art
a
prophet;
20
our
fathers
in
this
mountain
did
worship,
and
ye
--
ye
say
that
in
Jerusalem
is
the
place
where
it
behoveth
to
worship.`
21
Jesus
saith
to
her,
`Woman,
believe
me,
that
there
doth
come
an
hour,
when
neither
in
this
mountain,
nor
in
Jerusalem,
shall
ye
worship
the
Father;
22
ye
worship
what
ye
have
not
known;
we
worship
what
we
have
known,
because
the
salvation
is
of
the
Jews;
23
but,
there
cometh
an
hour,
and
it
now
is,
when
the
true
worshippers
will
worship
the
Father
in
spirit
and
truth,
for
the
Father
also
doth
seek
such
to
worship
him;
24
God
is
a
Spirit,
and
those
worshipping
Him,
in
spirit
and
truth
it
doth
behove
to
worship.`
25
The
woman
saith
to
him,
`I
have
known
that
Messiah
doth
come,
who
is
called
Christ,
when
that
one
may
come,
he
will
tell
us
all
things;`
26
Jesus
saith
to
her,
`I
am
he
,
who
am
speaking
to
thee.`
27
And
upon
this
came
his
disciples,
and
were
wondering
that
with
a
woman
he
was
speaking,
no
one,
however,
said,
`What
seekest
thou?`
or
`Why
speakest
thou
with
her?`
28
The
woman
then
left
her
water-jug,
and
went
away
to
the
city,
and
saith
to
the
men,
29
`Come,
see
a
man,
who
told
me
all
things
--
as
many
as
I
did;
is
this
the
Christ?`
30
They
went
forth
therefore
out
of
the
city,
and
were
coming
unto
him.
31
And
in
the
meanwhile
his
disciples
were
asking
him,
saying,
`Rabbi,
eat;`
32
and
he
said
to
them,
`I
have
food
to
eat
that
ye
have
not
known.`
33
The
disciples
then
said
one
to
another,
`Did
any
one
bring
him
anything
to
eat?`
34
Jesus
saith
to
them,
`My
food
is,
that
I
may
do
the
will
of
Him
who
sent
me,
and
may
finish
His
work;
35
do
not
say
that
it
is
yet
four
months,
and
the
harvest
cometh;
lo,
I
say
to
you,
Lift
up
your
eyes,
and
see
the
fields,
that
they
are
white
unto
harvest
already.
36
`And
he
who
is
reaping
doth
receive
a
reward,
and
doth
gather
fruit
to
life
age-during,
that
both
he
who
is
sowing
and
he
who
is
reaping
may
rejoice
together;
37
for
in
this
the
saying
is
the
true
one,
that
one
is
the
sower
and
another
the
reaper.
38
I
sent
you
to
reap
that
on
which
ye
have
not
laboured;
others
laboured,
and
ye
into
their
labour
have
entered.
39
And
from
that
city
many
believed
in
him,
of
the
Samaritans,
because
of
the
word
of
the
woman
testifying,
--
`He
told
me
all
things
--
as
many
as
I
did.`
40
When,
then,
the
Samaritans
came
unto
him,
they
were
asking
him
to
remain
with
them,
and
he
remained
there
two
days;
41
and
many
more
did
believe
because
of
his
word,
42
and
said
to
the
woman
--
`No
more
because
of
thy
speaking
do
we
believe;
for
we
ourselves
have
heard
and
known
that
this
is
truly
the
Saviour
of
the
world
--
the
Christ.`
43
And
after
the
two
days
he
went
forth
thence,
and
went
away
to
Galilee,
44
for
Jesus
himself
testified
that
a
prophet
in
his
own
country
shall
not
have
honour;
45
when
then,
he
came
to
Galilee,
the
Galileans
received
him,
having
seen
all
things
that
he
did
in
Jerusalem
in
the
feast
--
for
they
also
went
to
the
feast.
46
Jesus
came,
therefore,
again
to
Cana
of
Galilee,
where
he
made
the
water
wine,
and
there
was
a
certain
courtier,
whose
son
was
ailing
in
Capernaum,
47
he,
having
heard
that
Jesus
is
come
out
of
Judea
to
Galilee,
went
away
unto
him,
and
was
asking
him
that
he
may
come
down
and
may
heal
his
son,
for
he
was
about
to
die.
48
Jesus
then
said
unto
him,
`If
signs
and
wonders
ye
may
not
see,
ye
will
not
believe.`
49
The
courtier
saith
unto
him,
`Sir,
come
down
before
my
child
die;`
50
Jesus
saith
to
him,
`Be
going
on;
thy
son
doth
live.`
And
the
man
believed
the
word
that
Jesus
said
to
him,
and
was
going
on,
51
and
he
now
going
down,
his
servants
met
him,
and
told,
saying
--
`Thy
child
doth
live;`
52
he
inquired
then
of
them
the
hour
in
which
he
became
better,
and
they
said
to
him
--
`Yesterday
at
the
seventh
hour
the
fever
left
him;`
53
then
the
father
knew
that
it
was
in
that
hour
in
which
Jesus
said
to
him
--
`Thy
son
doth
live,`
and
he
himself
believed,
and
his
whole
house;
54
this
again
a
second
sign
did
Jesus,
having
come
out
of
Judea
to
Galilee.

I

of
Jezreel

Jehu,

will

the

of
Israel
to

in
their
counsels;
that
I

and
ye
shall

my

1
When
therefore
the
Lord
knew
that
the
Pharisees
had
heard
that
Jesus
was
making
and
baptizing
more
disciples
than
John
2
(although
Jesus
himself
baptized
not,
but
his
disciples),
3
he
left
Judea,
and
departed
again
into
Galilee.
4
And
he
must
needs
pass
through
Samaria.
5
So
he
cometh
to
a
city
of
Samaria,
called
Sychar,
near
to
the
parcel
of
ground
that
Jacob
gave
to
his
son
Joseph:
6
and
Jacobs
well
was
there.
Jesus
therefore,
being
wearied
with
his
journey,
sat
thus
by
the
well.
It
was
about
the
sixth
hour.
7
There
cometh
a
woman
of
Samaria
to
draw
water:
Jesus
saith
unto
her,
Give
me
to
drink.
8
For
his
disciples
were
gone
away
into
the
city
to
buy
food.
9
The
Samaritan
woman
therefore
saith
unto
him,
How
is
it
that
thou,
being
a
Jew,
askest
drink
of
me,
who
am
a
Samaritan
woman?
(For
Jews
have
no
dealings
with
Samaritans.)
10
Jesus
answered
and
said
unto
unto
her,
If
thou
knewest
the
gift
of
God,
and
who
it
is
that
saith
to
thee,
Give
me
to
drink;
thou
wouldest
have
asked
of
him,
and
he
would
have
given
thee
living
water.
11
The
woman
saith
unto
him,
Sir,
thou
hast
nothing
to
draw
with,
and
the
well
is
deep:
whence
then
hast
thou
that
living
water?
12
Art
thou
greater
than
our
father
Jacob,
who
gave
us
the
well,
and
drank
thereof
himself,
and
his
sons,
and
his
cattle?
13
Jesus
answered
and
said
unto
her,
Every
one
that
drinketh
of
this
water
shall
thirst
again:
14
but
whosoever
drinketh
of
the
water
that
I
shall
give
him
shall
never
thirst;
but
the
water
that
I
shall
give
him
shall
become
in
him
a
well
of
water
springing
up
unto
eternal
life.
15
The
woman
saith
unto
him,
Sir,
give
me
this
water,
that
I
thirst
not,
neither
come
all
the
way
hither
to
draw.
16
Jesus
saith
unto
her,
Go,
call
thy
husband,
and
come
hither.
17
The
woman
answered
and
said
unto
him,
I
have
no
husband.
Jesus
saith
unto
her,
Thou
saidst
well,
I
have
no
husband:
18
for
thou
hast
had
five
husbands;
and
he
whom
thou
now
hast
is
not
thy
husband:
this
hast
thou
said
truly.
19
The
woman
saith
unto
him,
Sir,
I
perceive
that
thou
art
a
prophet.
20
Our
fathers
worshipped
in
this
mountain;
and
ye
say,
that
in
Jerusalem
is
the
place
where
men
ought
to
worship.
21
Jesus
saith
unto
her,
Woman,
believe
me,
the
hour
cometh,
when
neither
in
this
mountain,
nor
in
Jerusalem,
shall
ye
worship
the
Father.
22
Ye
worship
that
which
ye
know
not:
we
worship
that
which
we
know;
for
salvation
is
from
the
Jews.
23
But
the
hour
cometh,
and
now
is,
when
the
true
worshippers
shall
worship
the
Father
in
spirit
and
truth:
for
such
doth
the
Father
seek
to
be
his
worshippers.
24
God
is
a
Spirit:
and
they
that
worship
him
must
worship
in
spirit
and
truth.
25
The
woman
saith
unto
him,
I
know
that
Messiah
cometh
(he
that
is
called
Christ):
when
he
is
come,
he
will
declare
unto
us
all
things.
26
Jesus
saith
unto
her,
I
that
speak
unto
thee
am
he.
27
And
upon
this
came
his
disciples;
and
they
marvelled
that
he
was
speaking
with
a
woman;
yet
no
man
said,
What
seekest
thou?
or,
Why
speakest
thou
with
her?
28
So
the
woman
left
her
waterpot,
and
went
away
into
the
city,
and
saith
to
the
people,
29
Come,
see
a
man,
who
told
me
all
things
that
ever
I
did:
can
this
be
the
Christ?
30
They
went
out
of
the
city,
and
were
coming
to
him.
31
In
the
mean
while
the
disciples
prayed
him,
saying,
Rabbi,
eat.
32
But
he
said
unto
them,
I
have
meat
to
eat
that
ye
know
not.
33
The
disciples
therefore
said
one
to
another,
Hath
any
man
brought
him
aught
to
eat?
34
Jesus
saith
unto
them,
My
meat
is
to
do
the
will
of
him
that
sent
me,
and
to
accomplish
his
work.
35
Say
not
ye,
There
are
yet
four
months,
and
then
cometh
the
harvest?
behold,
I
say
unto
you,
Lift
up
your
eyes,
and
look
on
the
fields,
that
they
are
white
already
unto
harvest.
36
He
that
reapeth
receiveth
wages,
and
gathereth
fruit
unto
life
eternal;
that
he
that
soweth
and
he
that
reapeth
may
rejoice
together.
37
For
herein
is
the
saying
true,
One
soweth,
and
another
reapeth.
38
I
sent
you
to
reap
that
whereon
ye
have
not
labored:
others
have
labored,
and
ye
are
entered
into
their
labor.
39
And
from
that
city
many
of
the
Samaritans
believed
on
him
because
of
the
word
of
the
woman,
who
testified,
He
told
me
all
things
that
ever
I
did.
40
So
when
the
Samaritans
came
unto
him,
they
besought
him
to
abide
with
them:
and
he
abode
there
two
days.
41
And
many
more
believed
because
of
his
word;
42
and
they
said
to
the
woman,
Now
we
believe,
not
because
of
thy
speaking:
for
we
have
heard
for
ourselves,
and
know
that
this
is
indeed
the
Saviour
of
the
world.
43
And
after
the
two
days
he
went
forth
from
thence
into
Galilee.
44
For
Jesus
himself
testified,
that
a
prophet
hath
no
honor
in
his
own
country.
45
So
when
he
came
into
Galilee,
the
Galilaeans
received
him,
having
seen
all
the
things
that
he
did
in
Jerusalem
at
the
feast:
for
they
also
went
unto
the
feast.
46
He
came
therefore
again
unto
Cana
of
Galilee,
where
he
made
the
water
wine.
And
there
was
a
certain
nobleman,
whose
son
was
sick
at
Capernaum.
47
When
he
heard
that
Jesus
was
come
out
of
Judaea
into
Galilee,
he
went
unto
him,
and
besought
him
that
he
would
come
down,
and
heal
his
son;
for
he
was
at
the
point
of
death.
48
Jesus
therefore
said
unto
him,
Except
ye
see
signs
and
wonders,
ye
will
in
no
wise
believe.
49
The
nobleman
saith
unto
him,
Sir,
come
down
ere
my
child
die.
50
Jesus
saith
unto
him,
Go
thy
way;
thy
son
liveth.
The
man
believed
the
word
that
Jesus
spake
unto
him,
and
he
went
his
way.
51
And
as
he
was
now
going
down,
his
servants
met
him,
saying,
that
his
son
lived.
52
So
he
inquired
of
them
the
hour
when
he
began
to
amend.
They
said
therefore
unto
him,
Yesterday
at
the
seventh
hour
the
fever
left
him.
53
So
the
father
knew
that
it
was
at
that
hour
in
which
Jesus
said
unto
him,
Thy
son
liveth:
and
himself
believed,
and
his
whole
house.
54
This
is
again
the
second
sign
that
Jesus
did,
having
come
out
of
Judaea
into
Galilee.
1 Corinthians 8:4
4
Concerning
therefore
the
eating
of
things
sacrificed
to
idols,
we
know
that
no
idol

the
world,
and
that
there
is
no
God
but
one.
1 Corinthians 10:19

idols
is
anything,

is
anything?
Revelation 2:20
20
But
I
have
this
against
thee,
that
thou
sufferest
the
woman
Jezebel,
who
calleth
herself
a
prophetess;
and
she
teacheth
and
seduceth
my
servants
to
commit
fornication,
and
to
eat
things
sacrificed
to
idols.

Therefore
when
the
Lord
knew
that
the

that
Jesus

John
2

Jesus
himself

3
he
left

4
He
needed
to

Samaria.
5
So
he
came

a
city

Samaria,
called
Sychar,
near

Jacob
gave

Joseph.
6
Jacob's

was
there.
Jesus
therefore,
being
tired
from
his

sat
down
by
the
well.
It
was
about
the

7
A

said
to
her,
"Give

8
For
his
disciples
had
gone
away
into
the
city
to
buy
food.
9
The
Samaritan
woman
therefore
said
to
him,
"How
is

being

for

from
me,
a
Samaritan
woman?"
(For

Samaritans.)
10
Jesus
answered
her,
"If
you
knew
the
gift
of
God,
and
who
it
is
who
says
to
you,
'Give
me
a
drink,'
you
would
have
asked
him,
and
he
would
have
given
you
living
water."
11
The
woman
said
to
him,
"Sir,
you
have
nothing
to
draw
with,
and
the
well
is
deep.
From
where
then
have
you
that
living
water?
12
Are
you
greater
than
our
father,
Jacob,
who
gave
us
the
well,
and
drank
of
it
himself,
as
did
his
children,
and
his
cattle?"
13
Jesus
answered
her,
"Everyone
who
drinks
of
this
water
will
thirst
again,
14
but
whoever
drinks
of
the
water
that
I
will
give
him
will
never
thirst
again;
but
the
water
that
I
will
give
him
will
become
in
him
a
well
of
water
springing
up
to
eternal
life."
15
The
woman
said
to
him,
"Sir,
give
me
this
water,
so
that
I
don't
get
thirsty,
neither
come
all
the
way
here
to
draw."
16
Jesus
said
to
her,
"Go,
call
your
husband,
and
come
here."
17
The
woman
answered,
"I
have
no
husband."
Jesus
said
to
her,
"You
said
well,
'I
have
no
husband,'
18
for
you
have
had
five
husbands;
and
he
whom
you
now
have
is
not
your
husband.
This
you
have
said
truly."
19
The
woman
said
to
him,
"Sir,
I
perceive
that
you
are
a
prophet.
20
Our
fathers
worshiped
in
this
mountain,
and
you
Jews
say
that
in
Jerusalem
is
the
place
where
people
ought
to
worship."
21
Jesus
said
to
her,
"Woman,
believe
me,
the
hour
comes,
when
neither
in
this
mountain,
nor
in
Jerusalem,
will
you
worship
the
Father.
22
You
worship
that
which
you
don't
know.
We
worship
that
which
we
know;
for
salvation
is
from
the
Jews.
23
But
the
hour
comes,
and
now
is,
when
the
true
worshippers
will
worship
the
Father
in
spirit
and
truth,
for
the
Father
seeks
such
to
be
his
worshippers.
24
God
is
spirit,
and
those
who
worship
him
must
worship
in
spirit
and
truth."
25
The
woman
said
to
him,
"I
know
that
Messiah
comes,"
(he
who
is
called
Christ).
"When
he
has
come,
he
will
declare
to
us
all
things."
26
Jesus
said
to
her,
"I
am
he,
the
one
who
speaks
to
you."
27
At
this,
his
disciples
came.
They
marveled
that
he
was
speaking
with
a
woman;
yet
no
one
said,
"What
are
you
looking
for?"
or,
"Why
do
you
speak
with
her?"
28
So
the
woman
left
her
water
pot,
and
went
away
into
the
city,
and
said
to
the
people,
29
"Come,
see
a
man
who
told
me
everything
that
I
did.
Can
this
be
the
Christ?"
30
They
went
out
of
the
city,
and
were
coming
to
him.
31
In
the
meanwhile,
the
disciples
urged
him,
saying,
"Rabbi,
eat."
32
But
he
said
to
them,
"I
have
food
to
eat
that
you
don't
know
about."
33
The
disciples
therefore
said
one
to
another,
"Has
anyone
brought
him
something
to
eat?"
34
Jesus
said
to
them,
"My
food
is
to
do
the
will
of
him
who
sent
me,
and
to
accomplish
his
work.
35
Don't
you
say,
'There
are
yet
four
months
until
the
harvest?'
Behold,
I
tell
you,
lift
up
your
eyes,
and
look
at
the
fields,
that
they
are
white
for
harvest
already.
36
He
who
reaps
receives
wages,
and
gathers
fruit
to
eternal
life;
that
both
he
who
sows
and
he
who
reaps
may
rejoice
together.
37
For
in
this
the
saying
is
true,
'One
sows,
and
another
reaps.'
38
I
sent
you
to
reap
that
for
which
you
haven't
labored.
Others
have
labored,
and
you
have
entered
into
their
labor."
39
From
that
city
many
of
the
Samaritans
believed
in
him
because
of
the
word
of
the
woman,
who
testified,
"He
told
me
everything
that
I
did."
40
So
when
the
Samaritans
came
to
him,
they
begged
him
to
stay
with
them.
He
stayed
there
two
days.
41
Many
more
believed
because
of
his
word.
42
They
said
to
the
woman,
"Now
we
believe,
not
because
of
your
speaking;
for
we
have
heard
for
ourselves,
and
know
that
this
is
indeed
the
Christ,
the
Savior
of
the
world."
43
After
the
two
days
he
went
out
from
there
and
went
into
Galilee.
44
For
Jesus
himself
testified
that
a
prophet
has
no
honor
in
his
own
country.
45
So
when
he
came
into
Galilee,
the
Galileans
received
him,
having
seen
all
the
things
that
he
did
in
Jerusalem
at
the
feast,
for
they
also
went
to
the
feast.
46
Jesus
came
therefore
again
to
Cana
of
Galilee,
where
he
made
the
water
into
wine.
There
was
a
certain
nobleman
whose
son
was
sick
at
Capernaum.
47
When
he
heard
that
Jesus
had
come
out
of
Judea
into
Galilee,
he
went
to
him,
and
begged
him
that
he
would
come
down
and
heal
his
son,
for
he
was
at
the
point
of
death.
48
Jesus
therefore
said
to
him,
"Unless
you
see
signs
and
wonders,
you
will
in
no
way
believe."
49
The
nobleman
said
to
him,
"Sir,
come
down
before
my
child
dies."
50
Jesus
said
to
him,
"Go
your
way.
Your
son
lives."
The
man
believed
the
word
that
Jesus
spoke
to
him,
and
he
went
his
way.
51
As
he
was
now
going
down,
his
servants
met
him
and
reported,
saying
"Your
child
lives!"
52
So
he
inquired
of
them
the
hour
when
he
began
to
get
better.
They
said
therefore
to
him,
"Yesterday
at
the
seventh
hour,
the
fever
left
him."
53
So
the
father
knew
that
it
was
at
that
hour
in
which
Jesus
said
to
him,
"Your
son
lives."
He
believed,
as
did
his
whole
house.
54
This
is
again
the
second
sign
that
Jesus
did,
having
come
out
of
Judea
into
Galilee.
1 Corinthians 8:4
4
Therefore
concerning
the
eating
of
things
sacrificed
to
idols,
we
know
that
no
idol
is
anything
in
the
world,
and
that
there
is
no
other
God
but
one.
1 Corinthians 10:19
19
What
am
I
saying
then?
That
a
thing
sacrificed
to
idols
is
anything,
or
that
an
idol
is
anything?
Revelation 2:20
20
But
I
have
this
against
you,
that
you
tolerate
your
woman,
Jezebel,
who
calls
herself
a
prophetess.
She
teaches
and
seduces
my
servants
to
commit
sexual
immorality,
and
to
eat
things
sacrificed
to
idols.

1
When
therefore
the
Lord
knew
how
that
the
Pharisees
had
heard
that
Jesus
was
making
and
baptizing
more
disciples
than
John
2
(although
Jesus
himself
baptized
not,
but
his
disciples),
3
he
left
Judaea,
and
departed
again
into
Galilee.
4
And
he
must
needs
pass
through
Samaria.
5
So
he
cometh
to
a
city
of
Samaria,
called
Sychar,
near
to
the
parcel
of
ground
that
Jacob
gave
to
his
son
Joseph:
6
and
Jacob-s
well
was
there.
Jesus
therefore,
being
wearied
with
his
journey,
sat
thus
by
the
well.
It
was
about
the
sixth
hour.
7
There
cometh
a
woman
of
Samaria
to
draw
water:
Jesus
saith
unto
her,
Give
me
to
drink.
8
For
his
disciples
were
gone
away
into
the
city
to
buy
food.
9
The
Samaritan
woman
therefore
saith
unto
him,
How
is
it
that
thou,
being
a
Jew,
askest
drink
of
me,
which
am
a
Samaritan
woman?
(For
Jews
have
no
dealings
with
Samaritans.)
10
Jesus
answered
and
said
unto
her,
If
thou
knewest
the
gift
of
God,
and
who
it
is
that
saith
to
thee,
Give
me
to
drink;
thou
wouldest
have
asked
of
him,
and
he
would
have
given
thee
living
water.
11
The
woman
saith
unto
him,
Sir,
thou
hast
nothing
to
draw
with,
and
the
well
is
deep:
from
whence
then
hast
thou
that
living
water?
12
Art
thou
greater
than
our
father
Jacob,
which
gave
us
the
well,
and
drank
thereof
himself,
and
his
sons,
and
his
cattle?
13
Jesus
answered
and
said
unto
her,
Every
one
that
drinketh
of
this
water
shall
thirst
again:
14
but
whosoever
drinketh
of
the
water
that
I
shall
give
him
shall
never
thirst;
but
the
water
that
I
shall
give
him
shall
become
in
him
a
well
of
water
springing
up
unto
eternal
life.
15
The
woman
saith
unto
him,
Sir,
give
me
this
water,
that
I
thirst
not,
neither
come
all
the
way
hither
to
draw.
16
Jesus
saith
unto
her,
Go,
call
thy
husband,
and
come
hither.
17
The
woman
answered
and
said
unto
him,
I
have
no
husband.
Jesus
saith
unto
her,
Thou
saidst
well,
I
have
no
husband:
18
for
thou
hast
had
five
husbands;
and
he
whom
thou
now
hast
is
not
thy
husband:
this
hast
thou
said
truly.
19
The
woman
saith
unto
him,
Sir,
I
perceive
that
thou
art
a
prophet.
20
Our
fathers
worshipped
in
this
mountain;
and
ye
say,
that

men
ought

21
Jesus
saith
unto
her,
Woman,
believe
me,
the
hour
cometh,
when
neither
in
this
mountain,
nor
in
Jerusalem,
shall
ye
worship
the
Father.
22
Ye
worship
that
which
ye
know
not:
we
worship
that
which
we
know:
for
salvation
is
from
the
Jews.
23
But
the
hour
cometh,
and
now
is,
when
the
true
worshippers
shall
worship
the
Father
in
spirit
and
truth:
for
such
doth
the
Father
seek
to
be
his
worshippers.
24
God
is
a
Spirit:
and
they
that
worship
him
must
worship
in
spirit
and
truth.
25
The
woman
saith
unto
him,
I
know
that
Messiah
cometh
(which
is
called
Christ):
when
he
is
come,
he
will
declare
unto
us
all
things.
26
Jesus
saith
unto
her,
I
that
speak
unto
thee
am
{cf15i
he}.
27
And
upon
this
came
his
disciples;
and
they
marveled
that
he
was
speaking
with
a
woman;
yet
no
man
said,
What
seekest
thou?
or,
Why
speakest
thou
with
her?
28
So
the
woman
left
her
waterpot,
and
went
away
into
the
city,
and
saith
to
the
men,
29
Come,
see
a
man,
which
told
me
all
things
that
{cf15i
ever}
I
did:
can
this
be
the
Christ?
30
They
went
out
of
the
city,
and
were
coming
to
him.
31
In
the
mean
while
the
disciples
prayed
him,
saying,
Rabbi,
eat.
32
But
he
said
unto
them,
I
have
meat
to
eat
that
ye
know
not.
33
The
disciples
therefore
said
one
to
another,
Hath
any
man
brought
him
{cf15i
aught}
to
eat?
34
Jesus
saith
unto
them,
My
meat
is
to
do
the
will
of
him
that
sent
me,
and
to
accomplish
his
work.
35
Say
not
ye,
There
are
yet
four
months,
and
{cf15i
then}
cometh
the
harvest?
behold,
I
say
unto
you,
Lift
up
your
eyes,
and
look
on
the
fields,
that
they
are
white
already
unto
harvest.
36
He
that
reapeth
receiveth
wages,
and
gathereth
fruit
unto
life
eternal;
that
he
that
soweth
and
he
that
reapeth
may
rejoice
together.
37
For
herein
is
the
saying
true,
One
soweth,
and
another
reapeth.
38
I
sent
you
to
reap
that
whereon
ye
have
not
laboured:
others
have
laboured,
and
ye
are
entered
into
their
labour.
39
And
from
that
city
many
of
the
Samaritans
believed
on
him
because
of
the
word
of
the
woman,
who
testified,
He
told
me
all
things
that
{cf15i
ever}
I
did.
40
So
when
the
Samaritans
came
unto
him,
they
besought
him
to
abide
with
them:
and
he
abode
there
two
days.
41
And
many
more
believed
because
of
his
word;
42
and
they
said
to
the
woman,
Now
we
believe,
not
because
of
thy
speaking:
for
we
have
heard
for
ourselves,
and
know
that
this
is
indeed
the
Saviour
of
the
world.
43
And
after
the
two
days
he
went
forth
from
thence
into
Galilee.
44
For
Jesus
himself
testified,
that
a
prophet
hath
no
honour
in
his
own
country.
45
So
when
he
came
into
Galilee,
the
Galilaeans
received
him,
having
seen
all
the
things
that
he
did
in
Jerusalem
at
the
feast:
for
they
also
went
unto
the
feast.
46
He
came
therefore
again
unto
Cana
of
Galilee,
where
he
made
the
water
wine.
And
there
was
a
certain
nobleman,
whose
son
was
sick
at
Capernaum.
47
When
he
heard
that
Jesus
was
come
out
of
Judaea
into
Galilee,
he
went
unto
him,
and
besought
{cf15i
him}
that
he
would
come
down,
and
heal
his
son;
for
he
was
at
the
point
of
death.
48
Jesus
therefore
said
unto
him,
Except
ye
see
signs
and
wonders,
ye
will
in
no
wise
believe.
49
The
nobleman
saith
unto
him,
Sir,
come
down
ere
my
child
die.
50
Jesus
saith
unto
him,
Go
thy
way;
thy
son
liveth.
The
man
believed
the
word
that
Jesus
spake
unto
him,
and
he
went
his
way.
51
And
as
he
was
now
going
down,
his
servants
met
him,
saying,
that
his
son
lived.
52
So
he
inquired
of
them
the
hour
when
he
began
to
amend.
They
said
therefore
unto
him,
Yesterday
at
the
seventh
hour
the
fever
left
him.
53
So
the
father
knew
that
{cf15i
it
was}
at
that
hour
in
which
Jesus
said
unto
him,
Thy
son
liveth:
and
himself
believed,
and
his
whole
house.
54
This
is
again
the
second
sign
that
Jesus
did,
having
come
out
of
Judaea
into
Galilee.
1 Corinthians 8:4
4
Concerning
therefore
the
eating
of
things
sacrificed
to
idols,
we
know
that
no
idol
is
{cf15i
anything}
in
the
world,
and
that
there
is
no
God
but
one.
1 Corinthians 10:19
19
What
say
I
then?
that
a
thing
sacrificed
to
idols
is
anything,
or
that
an
idol
is
anything?
Revelation 2:20
20
But
I
have
{cf15i
this}
against
thee,
that
thou
sufferest
the
woman
Jezebel,
which
calleth
herself
a
prophetess;
and
she
teacheth
and
seduceth
my
servants
to
commit
fornication,
and
to
eat
things
sacrificed
to
idols.

1
When
therefore
the
LORD
knew
how
the
Pharisees
had
heard
that
Jesus
made
and
baptized
more
disciples
than
John,
2
(Though
Jesus
himself
baptized
not,
but
his
disciples,)
3
He
left
Judaea,
and
departed
again
into
Galilee.
4
And
he
must
needs
go
through
Samaria.
5
Then
comes
he
to
a
city
of
Samaria,
which
is
called
Sychar,
near
to
the
parcel
of
ground
that
Jacob
gave
to
his
son
Joseph.
6
Now
Jacob's
well
was
there.
Jesus
therefore,
being
wearied
with
his
journey,
sat
thus
on
the
well:
and
it
was
about
the
sixth
hour.
7
There
comes
a
woman
of
Samaria
to
draw
water:
Jesus
said
to
her,
Give
me
to
drink.
8
(For
his
disciples
were
gone
away
to
the
city
to
buy
meat.)
9
Then
said
the
woman
of
Samaria
to
him,
How
is
it
that
you,
being
a
Jew,
ask
drink
of
me,
which
am
a
woman
of
Samaria?
for
the
Jews
have
no
dealings
with
the
Samaritans.
10
Jesus
answered
and
said
to
her,
If
you
knew
the
gift
of
God,
and
who
it
is
that
said
to
you,
Give
me
to
drink;
you
would
have
asked
of
him,
and
he
would
have
given
you
living
water.
11
The
woman
said
to
him,
Sir,
you
have
nothing
to
draw
with,
and
the
well
is
deep:
from
where
then
have
you
that
living
water?
12
Are
you
greater
than
our
father
Jacob,
which
gave
us
the
well,
and
drank
thereof
himself,
and
his
children,
and
his
cattle?
13
Jesus
answered
and
said
to
her,
Whoever
drinks
of
this
water
shall
thirst
again:
14
But
whoever
drinks
of
the
water
that
I
shall
give
him
shall
never
thirst;
but
the
water
that
I
shall
give
him
shall
be
in
him
a
well
of
water
springing
up
into
everlasting
life.
15
The
woman
said
to
him,
Sir,
give
me
this
water,
that
I
thirst
not,
neither
come
here
to
draw.
16
Jesus
said
to
her,
Go,
call
your
husband,
and
come
here.
17
The
woman
answered
and
said,
I
have
no
husband.
Jesus
said
to
her,
You
have
well
said,
I
have
no
husband:
18
For
you
have
had
five
husbands;
and
he
whom
you
now
have
is
not
your
husband:
in
that
said
you
truly.
19
The
woman
said
to
him,
Sir,
I
perceive
that
you
are
a
prophet.
20
Our
fathers
worshipped
in
this
mountain;
and
you
say,
that
in
Jerusalem
is
the
place
where
men
ought
to
worship.
21
Jesus
said
to
her,
Woman,
believe
me,
the
hour
comes,
when
you
shall
neither
in
this
mountain,
nor
yet
at
Jerusalem,
worship
the
Father.
22
You
worship
you
know
not
what:
we
know
what
we
worship:
for
salvation
is
of
the
Jews.
23
But
the
hour
comes,
and
now
is,
when
the
true
worshippers
shall
worship
the
Father
in
spirit
and
in
truth:
for
the
Father
seeks
such
to
worship
him.
24
God
is
a
Spirit:
and
they
that
worship
him
must
worship
him
in
spirit
and
in
truth.
25
The
woman
said
to
him,
I
know
that
Messias
comes,
which
is
called
Christ:
when
he
is
come,
he
will
tell
us
all
things.
26
Jesus
said
to
her,
I
that
speak
to
you
am
he.
27
And
on
this
came
his
disciples,
and
marveled
that
he
talked
with
the
woman:
yet
no
man
said,
What
seek
you?
or,
Why
talk
you
with
her?
28
The
woman
then
left
her
water
pot,
and
went
her
way
into
the
city,
and
said
to
the
men,
29
Come,
see
a
man,
which
told
me
all
things
that
ever
I
did:
is
not
this
the
Christ?
30
Then
they
went
out
of
the
city,
and
came
to
him.
31
In
the
mean
while
his
disciples
prayed
him,
saying,
Master,
eat.
32
But
he
said
to
them,
I
have
meat
to
eat
that
you
know
not
of.
33
Therefore
said
the
disciples
one
to
another,
Has
any
man
brought
him
ought
to
eat?
34
Jesus
said
to
them,
My
meat
is
to
do
the
will
of
him
that
sent
me,
and
to
finish
his
work.
35
Say
not
you,
There
are
yet
four
months,
and
then
comes
harvest?
behold,
I
say
to
you,
Lift
up
your
eyes,
and
look
on
the
fields;
for
they
are
white
already
to
harvest.
36
And
he
that
reaps
receives
wages,
and
gathers
fruit
to
life
eternal:
that
both
he
that
sows
and
he
that
reaps
may
rejoice
together.
37
And
herein
is
that
saying
true,
One
sows,
and
another
reaps.
38
I
sent
you
to
reap
that
where
on
you
bestowed
no
labor:
other
men
labored,
and
you
are
entered
into
their
labors.
39
And
many
of
the
Samaritans
of
that
city
believed
on
him
for
the
saying
of
the
woman,
which
testified,
He
told
me
all
that
ever
I
did.
40
So
when
the
Samaritans
were
come
to
him,
they
sought
him
that
he
would
tarry
with
them:
and
he
stayed
there
two
days.
41
And
many
more
believed
because
of
his
own
word;
42
And
said
to
the
woman,
Now
we
believe,
not
because
of
your
saying:
for
we
have
heard
him
ourselves,
and
know
that
this
is
indeed
the
Christ,
the
Savior
of
the
world.
43
Now
after
two
days
he
departed
there,
and
went
into
Galilee.
44
For
Jesus
himself
testified,
that
a
prophet
has
no
honor
in
his
own
country.
45
Then
when
he
was
come
into
Galilee,
the
Galilaeans
received
him,
having
seen
all
the
things
that
he
did
at
Jerusalem
at
the
feast:
for
they
also
went
to
the
feast.
46
So
Jesus
came
again
into
Cana
of
Galilee,
where
he
made
the
water
wine.
And
there
was
a
certain
nobleman,
whose
son
was
sick
at
Capernaum.
47
When
he
heard
that
Jesus
was
come
out
of
Judaea
into
Galilee,
he
went
to
him,
and
sought
him
that
he
would
come
down,
and
heal
his
son:
for
he
was
at
the
point
of
death.
48
Then
said
Jesus
to
him,
Except
you
see
signs
and
wonders,
you
will
not
believe.
49
The
nobleman
said
to
him,
Sir,
come
down
ere
my
child
die.
50
Jesus
said
to
him,
Go
your
way;
your
son
lives.
And
the
man
believed
the
word
that
Jesus
had
spoken
to
him,
and
he
went
his
way.
51
And
as
he
was
now
going
down,
his
servants
met
him,
and
told
him,
saying,
Your
son
lives.
52
Then
inquired
he
of
them
the
hour
when
he
began
to
amend.
And
they
said
to
him,
Yesterday
at
the
seventh
hour
the
fever
left
him.
53
So
the
father
knew
that
it
was
at
the
same
hour,
in
the
which
Jesus
said
to
him,
Your
son
lives:
and
himself
believed,
and
his
whole
house.
54
This
is
again
the
second
miracle
that
Jesus
did,
when
he
was
come
out
of
Judaea
into
Galilee.
1 Corinthians 8:4
4
As
concerning
therefore
the
eating
of
those
things
that
are
offered
in
sacrifice
to
idols,
we
know
that
an
idol
is
nothing
in
the
world,
and
that
there
is
none
other
God
but
one.
1 Corinthians 10:19
19
What
say
I
then?
that
the
idol
is
any
thing,
or
that
which
is
offered
in
sacrifice
to
idols
is
any
thing?
Revelation 2:20
20
Notwithstanding
I
have
a
few
things
against
you,
because
you
suffer
that
woman
Jezebel,
which
calls
herself
a
prophetess,
to
teach
and
to
seduce
my
servants
to
commit
fornication,
and
to
eat
things
sacrificed
to
idols.

1
Now
when
Jesus
knew
that
the
Pharisees
had
heard
that
he
was
winning
and
baptizing
more
disciples
than
John
2
(although
Jesus
himself
was
not
baptizing,
but
his
disciples
were),
3
he
left
Judea
and
set
out
once
more
for
Galilee.
4
But
he
had
to
pass
through
Samaria.
5
Now
he
came
to
a
Samaritan
town
called
Sychar,
near
the
plot
of
land
that
Jacob
had
given
to
his
son
Joseph.
6
Jacob's
well
was
there,
so
Jesus,
since
he
was
tired
from
the
journey,
sat
right
down
beside
the
well.
It
was
about
noon.
7
A
Samaritan
woman
came
to
draw
water.
Jesus
said
to
her,
"Give
me
some
water
to
drink."
8
(For
his
disciples
had
gone
off
into
the
town
to
buy
supplies.)
9
So
the
Samaritan
woman
said
to
him,
"How
can
you—
a
Jew—
ask
me,
a
Samaritan
woman,
for
water
to
drink?"
(For
Jews
use
nothing
in
common
with
Samaritans.)
10
Jesus
answered
her,
"If
you
had
known
the
gift
of
God
and
who
it
is
who
said
to
you,
'Give
me
some
water
to
drink,'
you
would
have
asked
him,
and
he
would
have
given
you
living
water."
11
"Sir,"
the
woman
said
to
him,
"you
have
no
bucket
and
the
well
is
deep;
where
then
do
you
get
this
living
water?
12
Surely
you're
not
greater
than
our
ancestor
Jacob,
are
you?
For
he
gave
us
this
well
and
drank
from
it
himself,
along
with
his
sons
and
his
livestock."
13
Jesus
replied,
"Everyone
who
drinks
some
of
this
water
will
be
thirsty
again.
14
But
whoever
drinks
some
of
the
water
that
I
will
give
him
will
never
be
thirsty
again,
but
the
water
that
I
will
give
him
will
become
in
him
a
fountain
of
water
springing
up
to
eternal
life."
15
The
woman
said
to
him,
"Sir,
give
me
this
water,
so
that
I
will
not
be
thirsty
or
have
to
come
here
to
draw
water."
16
He
said
to
her,
"Go
call
your
husband
and
come
back
here."
17
The
woman
replied,
"I
have
no
husband."
Jesus
said
to
her,
"Right
you
are
when
you
said,
'I
have
no
husband,'
18
for
you
have
had
five
husbands,
and
the
man
you
are
living
with
now
is
not
your
husband.
This
you
said
truthfully!"
19
The
woman
said
to
him,
"Sir,
I
see
that
you
are
a
prophet.
20
Our
fathers
worshiped
on
this
mountain,
and
you
people
say
that
the
place
where
people
must
worship
is
in
Jerusalem."
21
Jesus
said
to
her,
"Believe
me,
woman,
a
time
is
coming
when
you
will
worship
the
Father
neither
on
this
mountain
nor
in
Jerusalem.
22
You
people
worship
what
you
do
not
know.
We
worship
what
we
know,
because
salvation
is
from
the
Jews.
23
But
a
time
is
coming—
and
now
is
here—
when
the
true
worshipers
will
worship
the
Father
in
spirit
and
truth,
for
the
Father
seeks
such
people
to
be
his
worshipers.
24
God
is
spirit,
and
the
people
who
worship
him
must
worship
in
spirit
and
truth."
25
The
woman
said
to
him,
"I
know
that
Messiah
is
coming"
(the
one
called
Christ);
"whenever
he
comes,
he
will
tell
us
everything."
26
Jesus
said
to
her,
"I,
the
one
speaking
to
you,
am
he."
27
Now
at
that
very
moment
his
disciples
came
back.
They
were
shocked
because
he
was
speaking
with
a
woman.
However,
no
one
said,
"What
do
you
want?"
or
"Why
are
you
speaking
with
her?"
28
Then
the
woman
left
her
water
jar,
went
off
into
the
town
and
said
to
the
people,
29
"Come,
see
a
man
who
told
me
everything
I
ever
did.
Surely
he
can't
be
the
Messiah,
can
he?"
30
So
they
left
the
town
and
began
coming
to
him.
31
Meanwhile
the
disciples
were
urging
him,
"Rabbi,
eat
something."
32
But
he
said
to
them,
"I
have
food
to
eat
that
you
know
nothing
about."
33
So
the
disciples
began
to
say
to
one
another,
"No
one
brought
him
anything
to
eat,
did
they?"
34
Jesus
said
to
them,
"My
food
is
to
do
the
will
of
the
one
who
sent
me
and
to
complete
his
work.
35
Don't
you
say,
'There
are
four
more
months
and
then
comes
the
harvest?'
I
tell
you,
look
up
and
see
that
the
fields
are
already
white
for
harvest!
36
The
one
who
reaps
receives
pay
and
gathers
fruit
for
eternal
life,
so
that
the
one
who
sows
and
the
one
who
reaps
can
rejoice
together.
37
For
in
this
instance
the
saying
is
true,
'One
sows
and
another
reaps.'
38
I
sent
you
to
reap
what
you
did
not
work
for;
others
have
labored
and
you
have
entered
into
their
labor."
39
Now
many
Samaritans
from
that
town
believed
in
him
because
of
the
report
of
the
woman
who
testified,
"He
told
me
everything
I
ever
did."
40
So
when
the
Samaritans
came
to
him,
they
began
asking
him
to
stay
with
them.
He
stayed
there
two
days,
41
and
because
of
his
word
many
more
believed.
42
They
said
to
the
woman,
"No
longer
do
we
believe
because
of
your
words,
for
we
have
heard
for
ourselves,
and
we
know
that
this
one
really
is
the
Savior
of
the
world."
43
After
the
two
days
he
departed
from
there
to
Galilee.
44
(For
Jesus
himself
had
testified
that
a
prophet
has
no
honor
in
his
own
country.)
45
So
when
he
came
to
Galilee,
the
Galileans
welcomed
him
because
they
had
seen
all
the
things
he
had
done
in
Jerusalem
at
the
feast
(for
they
themselves
had
gone
to
the
feast).
46
Now
he
came
again
to
Cana
in
Galilee
where
he
had
made
the
water
wine.
In
Capernaum
there
was
a
certain
royal
official
whose
son
was
sick.
47
When
he
heard
that
Jesus
had
come
back
from
Judea
to
Galilee,
he
went
to
him
and
begged
him
to
come
down
and
heal
his
son,
who
was
about
to
die.
48
So
Jesus
said
to
him,
"Unless
you
people
see
signs
and
wonders
you
will
never
believe!"
49
"Sir,"
the
official
said
to
him,
"come
down
before
my
child
dies."
50
Jesus
told
him,
"Go
home;
your
son
will
live."
The
man
believed
the
word
that
Jesus
spoke
to
him,
and
set
off
for
home.
51
While
he
was
on
his
way
down,
his
slaves
met
him
and
told
him
that
his
son
was
going
to
live.
52
So
he
asked
them
the
time
when
his
condition
began
to
improve,
and
they
told
him,
"Yesterday
at
one
o'clock
in
the
afternoon
the
fever
left
him."
53
Then
the
father
realized
that
it
was
the
very
time
Jesus
had
said
to
him,
"Your
son
will
live,"
and
he
himself
believed
along
with
his
entire
household.
54
Jesus
did
this
as
his
second
miraculous
sign
when
he
returned
from
Judea
to
Galilee.
1 Corinthians 8:4

With
regard
then
to
eating
food
sacrificed
to
idols,
we
know
that
"an
idol

this
world
is
nothing,"
and
that
"there
is
no
God
but
one."

idols

But
I
have
this
against
you:
You
tolerate
that
woman
Jezebel,
who
calls
herself
a
prophetess,
and
by
her
teaching
deceives
my
servants
to
commit
sexual
immorality
and
to
eat
food
sacrificed
to
idols.

1
Jesus
learned
that
the
Pharisees
had
heard
the
report
that
he
was
making
and
baptizing
more
followers
than
John.
2
(But
really,
Jesus
himself
did
not
baptize
anyone;
his
followers
baptized
people
for
him.)
3
So
he
left
Judea
and
went
back
to
Galilee.
4
On
the
way
to
Galilee
he
had
to
go
through
the
country
of
Samaria.
5
In
Samaria
Jesus
came
to
the
town
called
Sychar,
which
is
near
the
field
that
Jacob
gave
to
his
son
Joseph.
6
Jacob's
well
was
there.
Jesus
was
tired
from
his
long
trip,
so
he
sat
down
beside
the
well.
It
was
about
noon.
7
A
Samaritan
woman
came
to
the
well
to
get
some
water,
and
Jesus
said
to
her,
"Please
give
me
a
drink."
8
This
happened
while
his
followers
were
in
town
buying
some
food.
9
The
woman
answered,
"I
am
surprised
that
you
ask
me
for
a
drink!
You
are
a
Jew
and
I
am
a
Samaritan
woman!"
(Jews
have
nothing
to
do
with
Samaritans.
)
10
Jesus
answered,
"You
don't
know
what
God
can
give
you.
And
you
don't
know
who
I
am,
the
one
who
asked
you
for
a
drink.
If
you
knew,
you
would
have
asked
me,
and
I
would
have
given
you
living
water."
11
The
woman
said,
"Sir,
where
will
you
get
that
living
water?
The
well
is
very
deep,
and
you
have
nothing
to
get
water
with.
12
Are
you
greater
than
our
ancestor
Jacob?
He
is
the
one
who
gave
us
this
well.
He
drank
from
it
himself,
and
his
sons
and
all
his
animals
drank
from
it
too."
13
Jesus
answered,
"Everyone
who
drinks
this
water
will
be
thirsty
again.
14
But
anyone
who
drinks
the
water
I
give
will
never
be
thirsty
again.
The
water
I
give
people
will
be
like
a
spring
flowing
inside
them.
It
will
bring
them
eternal
life."
15
The
woman
said
to
Jesus,
"Sir,
give
me
this
water.
Then
I
will
never
be
thirsty
again
and
won't
have
to
come
back
here
to
get
more
water."
16
Jesus
told
her,
"Go
get
your
husband
and
come
back."
17
The
woman
answered,
"But
I
have
no
husband."
Jesus
said
to
her,
"You
are
right
to
say
you
have
no
husband.
18
That's
because,
although
you
have
had
five
husbands,
the
man
you
live
with
now
is
not
your
husband.
That
much
was
the
truth."
19
The
woman
said,
"Sir,
I
can
see
that
you
are
a
prophet.
20
Our
fathers
worshiped
on
this
mountain.
But
you
Jews
say
that
Jerusalem
is
the
place
where
people
must
worship."
21
Jesus
said,
"Believe
me,
woman!
The
time
is
coming
when
you
will
not
have
to
be
in
Jerusalem
or
on
this
mountain
to
worship
the
Father.
22
You
Samaritans
worship
something
you
don't
understand.
We
Jews
understand
what
we
worship,
since
salvation
comes
from
the
Jews.
23
But
the
time
is
coming
when
the
true
worshipers
will
worship
the
Father
in
spirit
and
truth.
In
fact,
that
time
is
now
here.
And
these
are
the
kind
of
people
the
Father
wants
to
be
his
worshipers.
24
God
is
spirit.
So
the
people
who
worship
him
must
worship
in
spirit
and
truth."
25
The
woman
said,
"I
know
that
the
Messiah
is
coming."
(Messiah
is
the
one
called
Christ.
)
"When
he
comes,
he
will
explain
everything
to
us."
26
Then
Jesus
said,
"He
is
talking
to
you
now—I'm
the
Messiah."
27
Just
then
Jesus'
followers
came
back
from
town.
They
were
surprised
because
they
saw
Jesus
talking
with
a
woman.
But
none
of
them
asked,
"What
do
you
want?"
or
"Why
are
you
talking
with
her?"
28
Then
the
woman
left
her
water
jar
and
went
back
to
town.
She
told
the
people
there,
29
"A
man
told
me
everything
I
have
ever
done.
Come
see
him.
Maybe
he
is
the
Christ."
30
So
the
people
left
the
town
and
went
to
see
Jesus.
31
While
the
woman
was
in
town,
Jesus'
followers
were
begging
him,
"Teacher,
eat
something!"
32
But
Jesus
answered,
"I
have
food
to
eat
that
you
know
nothing
about."
33
So
the
followers
asked
themselves,
"Did
someone
already
bring
him
some
food?"
34
Jesus
said,
"My
food
is
to
do
what
the
one
who
sent
me
wants
me
to
do.
My
food
is
to
finish
the
work
that
he
gave
me
to
do.
35
When
you
plant,
you
always
say,
'Four
more
months
to
wait
before
we
gather
the
grain.'
But
I
tell
you,
open
your
eyes,
and
look
at
the
fields.
They
are
ready
for
harvesting
now.
36
Even
now,
the
people
who
harvest
the
crop
are
being
paid.
They
are
gathering
crops
for
eternal
life.
So
now
the
people
who
plant
can
be
happy
together
with
those
who
harvest.
37
It
is
true
when
we
say,
'One
person
plants,
but
another
person
harvests
the
crop.'
38
I
sent
you
to
harvest
a
crop
that
you
did
not
work
for.
Others
did
the
work,
and
you
get
the
profit
from
their
work."
39
Many
of
the
Samaritan
people
in
that
town
believed
in
Jesus.
They
believed
because
of
what
the
woman
had
told
them
about
him.
She
had
told
them,
"He
told
me
everything
I
have
ever
done."
40
The
Samaritans
went
to
Jesus.
They
begged
him
to
stay
with
them.
So
he
stayed
there
two
days.
41
Many
more
people
became
believers
because
of
the
things
he
said.
42
The
people
said
to
the
woman,
"First
we
believed
in
Jesus
because
of
what
you
told
us.
But
now
we
believe
because
we
heard
him
ourselves.
We
know
now
that
he
really
is
the
one
who
will
save
the
world."
43
Two
days
later
Jesus
left
and
went
to
Galilee.
44
(Jesus
had
said
before
that
a
prophet
is
not
respected
in
his
own
country.)
45
When
he
arrived
in
Galilee,
the
people
there
welcomed
him.
They
had
been
at
the
Passover
festival
in
Jerusalem
and
had
seen
everything
he
did
there.
46
Jesus
went
to
visit
Cana
in
Galilee
again.
Cana
is
where
he
had
changed
the
water
into
wine.
One
of
the
king's
important
officials
lived
in
the
city
of
Capernaum.
This
man's
son
was
sick.
47
The
man
heard
that
Jesus
had
come
from
Judea
and
was
now
in
Galilee.
So
he
went
to
Jesus
and
begged
him
to
come
to
Capernaum
and
heal
his
son,
who
was
almost
dead.
48
Jesus
said
to
him,
"You
people
must
see
miraculous
signs
and
wonders
before
you
will
believe
in
me."
49
The
king's
official
said,
"Sir,
come
before
my
little
son
dies."
50
Jesus
answered,
"Go.
Your
son
will
live."
The
man
believed
what
Jesus
told
him
and
went
home.
51
On
the
way
home
the
man's
servants
came
and
met
him.
They
said,
"Your
son
is
well."
52
The
man
asked,
"What
time
did
my
son
begin
to
get
well?"
They
answered,
"It
was
about
one
o'clock
yesterday
when
the
fever
left
him."
53
The
father
knew
that
one
o'clock
was
the
same
time
that
Jesus
had
said,
"Your
son
will
live."
So
the
man
and
everyone
in
his
house
believed
in
Jesus.
54
That
was
the
second
miraculous
sign
that
Jesus
did
after
coming
from
Judea
to
Galilee.
1 Corinthians 8:4
4
So
this
is
what
I
say
about
eating
meat:
We
know
that
an
idol
is
really
nothing
in
the
world,
and
we
know
that
there
is
only
one
God.
1 Corinthians 10:19
19
So,
am
I
saying
that
sacrifices
to
idols
are
the
same
as
those
Jewish
sacrifices?
No,
because
an
idol
is
nothing,
and
the
things
offered
to
idols
are
worth
nothing.
Revelation 2:20
20
But
I
have
this
against
you:
You
let
that
woman
Jezebel
do
what
she
wants.
She
says
that
she
is
a
prophet,
but
she
is
leading
my
people
away
with
her
teaching.
Jezebel
leads
my
people
to
commit
sexual
sins
and
to
eat

Jesus

the
proud
religious
law-keepers

He
was
making
and
baptizing
more
followers
than
John.
2
Jesus
did
not
baptize
anyone
Himself
but
His
followers
did.
3
Then
Jesus
went
from
the
country
of
Judea
to
the
country
of
Galilee.
4
He
had
to
go
through
the
country
of
Samaria.
5
So
He
came
to
a
town
in
Samaria
called
Sycar.
It
was
near
the
piece
of
ground
that
Jacob
gave
to
his
son
Joseph.
6
Jacob's
well
was
there.
Jesus
was
tired
from
traveling
so
He
sat
down
just
as
He
was
by
the
well.
It
was
about
noon.
7
A
woman
of
Samaria
came
to
get
water.
Jesus
said
to
her,
"Give
Me
a
drink."
8
His
followers
had
gone
to
the
town
to
buy
food.
9
The
woman
of
Samaria
said
to
Him,
"You
are
a
Jew.
I
am
of
Samaria.
Why
do
You
ask
me
for
a
drink
when
the
Jews
have
nothing
to
do
with
the
people
of
Samaria?"
10
Jesus
said
to
her,
"You
do
not
know
what
God
has
to
give.
You
do
not
know
Who
said
to
you,
'Give
Me
a
drink.'
If
you
knew,
you
would
have
asked
Him.
He
would
have
given
you
living
water."
11
The
woman
said
to
Him,
"Sir,
the
well
is
deep.
You
have
nothing
to
get
water
with.
Where
will
You
get
the
living
water?
12
Are
You
greater
than
our
early
father
Jacob?
He
gave
us
the
well.
He
and
his
children
and
his
cattle
drank
from
it."
13
Jesus
said
to
her,
"Whoever
drinks
this
water
will
be
thirsty
again.
14
Whoever
drinks
the
water
that
I
will
give
him
will
never
be
thirsty.
The
water
that
I
will
give
him
will
become
in
him
a
well
of
life
that
lasts
forever."
15
The
woman
said,
"Sir,
give
me
this
water
so
I
will
never
be
thirsty.
Then
I
will
not
have
to
come
all
this
way
for
water."
16
Jesus
said
to
her,
"Go
call
your
husband
and
come
back."
17
The
woman
said,
"I
have
no
husband."
Jesus
said,
"You
told
the
truth
when
you
said,
'I
have
no
husband.'
18
You
have
had
five
husbands.
The
one
you
have
now
is
not
your
husband.
You
told
the
truth."
19
The
woman
said
to
Him,
"Sir,
I
think
You
are
a
person
Who
speaks
for
God.
20
Our
early
fathers
worshiped
on
this
mountain.
You
Jews
say
Jerusalem
is
the
place
where
men
should
worship."
21
Jesus
said
to
her,
"Woman,
believe
Me.
The
time
is
coming
when
you
will
not
worship
the
Father
on
this
mountain
or
in
Jerusalem.
22
You
people
do
not
know
what
you
worship.
We
Jews
know
what
we
worship.
It
is
through
the
Jews
that
men
are
saved
from
the
punishment
of
their
sins.
23
The
time
is
coming,
yes,
it
is
here
now,
when
the
true
worshipers
will
worship
the
Father
in
spirit
and
in
truth.
The
Father
wants
that
kind
of
worshipers.
24
God
is
Spirit.
Those
who
worship
Him
must
worship
Him
in
spirit
and
in
truth."
25
The
woman
said
to
Him,
"I
know
the
Jews
are
looking
for
One
Who
is
coming.
He
is
called
the
Christ.
When
He
comes,
He
will

us
everything."
26
Jesus
said
to
her,
"I
am
the
Christ,
the
One
talking
with
you!"
27
Right
then
the
followers
came
back
and
were
surprised
and
wondered
about
finding
Him
talking
with
a
woman.
But
no

said,
"What
do
You
want?"
or,
"Why
are
You
talking
with
her?"
28
The
woman
left
her
water
jar
and
went
into
the
town.
She
said
to
the
men,
29
"Come
and
see
a
Man
Who
told
me
everything
I
ever
did!
Can
this
be
the
Christ?"
30
They
went
out
of
town
and
came
to
Him.
31
During
this
time
His
followers
were
saying
to
Him,
"Teacher,
eat
something."
32
He
said,
"I
have
food
to
eat
that
you
do
not
know
of."
33
The
followers
said
to
each
other,
"Has
someone
taken
food
to
Him?"
34
Jesus
said,
"My
food
is
to
do
what
God
wants
Me
to
do
and
to
finish
His
work.
35
Do
you
not
say,
'It
is
four
months
yet
until
the
time
to
gather
grain'?
Listen!
I
say
to
you,
open
your
eyes
and
look
at
the
fields.
They
are
white
now
and
waiting
for
the
grain
to
be
gathered
in.
36
The
one
who
gathers
gets
his
pay.
He
gathers
fruit
that
lasts
forever.
The
one
who
plants
and
the
one
who
gathers
will
have
joy
together.
37
These
words
are
true,
'One
man
plants
and
another
man
gathers.'
38
I
sent
you
to
gather
where
you
have
not
planted.
Others
have
planted
and
you
have
come
along
to
gather
in
their
fruit."
39
Many
people
in
that
town
of
Samaria
believed
in
Jesus
because
of
what
the
woman
said
about
Him.
She
said,
"He
told
me
everything
I
ever
did."
40
So
the
people
of
Samaria
came
to
Him.
They
asked
Him
to
stay
with
them.
Jesus
stayed
there
two
days.
41
Many
more
people
believed
because
of
what
He
said.
42
They
said
to
the
woman,
"Now
we
believe!
It
is
no
longer
because
of
what
you
said
about
Jesus
but
we
have
heard
Him
ourselves.
We
know,
for
sure,
that
He
is
the
Christ,
the
One
Who
saves
men
of
this
world
from
the
punishment
of
their
sins."
43
Two
days
later
He
went
from
there
and
came
to
the
country
of
Galilee.
44
Jesus
Himself
said
that
no
one
who
speaks
for
God
is
respected
in
his
own
country.
45
When
He
came
to
Galilee,
the
people
there
were
glad.
They
had
seen
all
the
things
He
did
in
Jerusalem.
It
was
at
the
time
of
the
special
religious
gathering
to
remember
how
the
Jews
left
Egypt.
They
had
been
there
also.
46
Jesus
came
again
to
the
town
of
Cana
of
Galilee
where
He
had
made
water
into
wine.
A
man
who
worked
with
the
king
had
a
son
who
was
sick
in
the
city
of
Capernaum.
47
This
man
went
to
Jesus.
He
had
heard
that
Jesus
had
come
from
the
country
of
Judea
to
Galilee.
The
man
asked
Jesus
if
He
would
go
to
Capernaum
and
heal
his
son
who
was
dying.
48
Then
Jesus
said
to
him,
"Unless
you
see
special
things
and
powerful
works
done,
you
will
not
believe."
49
The
man
said
to
Him,
"Sir,
come
with
me
before
my
son
dies."
50
Jesus
said
to
him,
"Go
your
way.
Your
son
will
live."
The
man
put
his
trust
in
what
Jesus
said
and
left.
51
As
he
was
on
his
way
home,
his
servants
met
him.
They
said
to
him,
"Your
son
is
living!"
52
He
asked
them
what
time
his
boy
began
to
get
well.
They
said
to
him,
"Yesterday
at
one
o'clock
the
sickness
left."
53
The
father
knew
it
was
the
time
Jesus
had
said
to
him,
"Your
son
will
live."
He
and
everyone
in
his
house
put
their
trust
in
Jesus.
54
This
was
the
second
powerful
work
that
Jesus
did
after
He
came
from
the
country
of
Judea
to
the
country
of
Galilee.
1 Corinthians 8:4
4
What
about
food
that
has
been
given
as
a
gift
to
a
false
god
in
worship?
Is
it
right?
We
know
that
a
false
god
is
not
a
god
at
all.
There
is
only
one
God!
There
is
no
other.
1 Corinthians 10:19
19
What
do
I
mean?
Am
I
saying
that
a
false
god
or
the
food
brought
to
it
in
worship
is
worth
anything?
Revelation 2:20
20
But
I
have
this
against
you:
You
are
allowing
Jezebel
who
calls
herself
a
preacher
to
teach
my
servants.
She
is
leading
them
in
the
wrong
way
and
they
are
doing
sex
sins.
And
they
are
eating
food
that
has
been
given
as
a
gift
in
worship
to
false
gods.

The
Pharisees
heard
that
Jesus
was
making
and
baptizing
more
fol-
lowers
than
John,
2
although
Jesus
himself
did
not
baptize
people,
but
his
followers
did.
3
Jesus
knew
that
the
Pharisees
had
heard
about
him,
so
he
left
Judea
and
went
back
to
Galilee.
4
But
on
the
way
he
had
to
go
through
the
country
of
Samaria.
5
In
Samaria
Jesus
came
to
the
town
called
Sychar,
which
is
near
the
field
Jacob
gave
to
his
son
Joseph.
6
Jacob's
well
was
there.
Jesus
was
tired
from
his
long
trip,
so
he
sat
down
beside
the
well.
It
was
about
twelve
o'clock
noon.
7
When
a
Samaritan
woman
came
to
the
well
to
get
some
water,
Jesus
said
to
her,
"Please
give
me
a
drink."
8
(This
happened
while
Jesus'
followers
were
in
town
buying
some
food.)
9
The
woman
said,
"I
am
surprised
that
you
ask
me
for
a
drink,
since
you
are
a
Jewish
man
and
I
am
a
Samaritan
woman."
(Jewish
people
are
not
friends
with
Samaritans.n)
10
Jesus
said,
"If
you
only
knew
the
free
gift
of
God
and
who
it
is
that
is
asking
you
for
water,
you
would
have
asked
him,
and
he
would
have
given
you
living
water."
11
The
woman
said,
"Sir,
where
will
you
get
this
living
water?
The
well
is
very
deep,
and
you
have
nothing
to
get
water
with.
12
Are
you
greater
than
Jacob,
our
father,
who
gave
us
this
well
and
drank
from
it
himself
along
with
his
sons
and
flocks?"
13
Jesus
answered,
"Everyone
who
drinks
this
water
will
be
thirsty
again,
14
but
whoever
drinks
the
water
I
give
will
never
be
thirsty.
The
water
I
give
will
become
a
spring
of
water
gushing
up
inside
that
person,
giving
eternal
life."
15
The
woman
said
to
him,
"Sir,
give
me
this
water
so
I
will
never
be
thirsty
again
and
will
not
have
to
come
back
here
to
get
more
water."
16
Jesus
told
her,
"Go
get
your
husband
and
come
back
here."
17
The
woman
answered,
"I
have
no
husband."
Jesus
said
to
her,
"You
are
right
to
say
you
have
no
husband.
18
Really
you
have
had
five
husbands,
and
the
man
you
live
with
now
is
not
your
husband.
You
told
the
truth."
19
The
woman
said,
"Sir,
I
can
see
that
you
are
a
prophet.
20
Our
ancestors
worshiped
on
this
mountain,
but
you
Jews
say
that
Jerusalem
is
the
place
where
people
must
worship."
21
Jesus
said,
"Believe
me,
woman.
The
time
is
coming
when
neither
in
Jerusalem
nor
on
this
mountain
will
you
actually
worship
the
Father.
22
You
Samaritans
worship
something
you
don't
understand.
We
understand
what
we
worship,
because
salvation
comes
from
the
Jews.
23
The
time
is
coming
when
the
true
worshipers
will
worship
the
Father
in
spirit
and
truth,
and
that
time
is
here
already.
You
see,
the
Father
too
is
actively
seeking
such
people
to
worship
him.
24
God
is
spirit,
and
those
who
worship
him
must
worship
in
spirit
and
truth."
25
The
woman
said,
"I
know
that
the
Messiah
is
coming."
(Messiah
is
the
One
called
Christ.)
"When
the
Messiah
comes,
he
will
explain
everything
to
us."
26
Then
Jesus
said,
"I
am
he
--
I,
the
one
talking
to
you."
27
Just
then
his
followers
came
back
from
town
and
were
surprised
to
see
him
talking
with
a
woman.
But
none
of
them
asked,
"What
do
you
want?"
or
"Why
are
you
talking
with
her?"
28
Then
the
woman
left
her
water
jar
and
went
back
to
town.
She
said
to
the
people,
29
"Come
and
see
a
man
who
told
me
everything
I
ever
did.
Do
you
think
he
might
be
the
Christ?"
30
So
the
people
left
the
town
and
went
to
see
Jesus.
31
Meanwhile,
his
followers
were
begging
him,
"Teacher,
eat
something."
32
But
Jesus
answered,
"I
have
food
to
eat
that
you
know
nothing
about."
33
So
the
followers
asked
themselves,
"Did
somebody
already
bring
him
food?"
34
Jesus
said,
"My
food
is
to
do
what
the
One
who
sent
me
wants
me
to
do
and
to
finish
his
work.
35
You
have
a
saying,
'Four
more
months
till
harvest.'
But
I
tell
you,
open
your
eyes
and
look
at
the
fields
ready
for
harvest
now.
36
Already,
the
one
who
harvests
is
being
paid
and
is
gathering
crops
for
eternal
life.
So
the
one
who
plants
and
the
one
who
harvests
celebrate
at
the
same
time.
37
Here
the
saying
is
true,
'One
person
plants,
and
another
harvests.'
38
I
sent
you
to
harvest
a
crop
that
you
did
not
work
on.
Others
did
the
work,
and
you
get
to
finish
up
their
work."
39
Many
of
the
Samaritans
in
that
town
believed
in
Jesus
because
of
what
the
woman
said:
"He
told
me
everything
I
ever
did."

the
Samaritans
came
to
Jesus,
they
begged
him
to
stay
with
them,
so
he
stayed
there
two
more
days.
41
And
many
more
believed
because
of
the
things
he
said.
42
They
said
to
the
woman,
"First
we
believed
in
Jesus
because
of
your
speech,
but
now
we
believe
because
we
heard
him
ourselves.
We
know
that
this
man
really
is
the
Savior
of
the
world."
43
Two
days
later,
Jesus
left
and
went
to
Galilee.
44
(Jesus
had
said
before
that
a
prophet
is
not
respected
in
his
own
country.)
45
When
Jesus
arrived
in
Galilee,
the
people
there
welcomed
him.
They
had
seen
all
the
things
he
did
at
the
Passover
Feast
in
Jerusalem,
because
they
had
been
there,
too.
46
Jesus
went
again
to
visit
Cana
in
Galilee
where
he
had
changed
the
water
into
wine.
One
of
the
king's
important
officers
lived
in
the
city
of
Capernaum,
and
his
son
was
sick.
47
When
he
heard
that
Jesus
had
come
from
Judea
to
Galilee,
he
went
to
Jesus
and
begged
him
to
come
to
Capernaum
and
heal
his
son,
because
his
son
was
almost
dead.
48
Jesus
said
to
him,
"You
people
must
see
signs
and
miracles
before
you
will
believe
in
me."
49
The
officer
said,
"Sir,
come
before
my
child
dies."
50
Jesus
answered,
"Go.
Your
son
will
live."
The
man
believed
what
Jesus
told
him
and
went
home.
51
On
the
way
the
man's
servants
came
and
met
him
and
told
him,
"Your
son
is
alive."
52
The
man
asked,
"What
time
did
my
son
begin
to
get
well?"
They
answered,
"Yesterday
at
one
o'clock
the
fever
left
him."
53
The
father
knew
that
one
o'clock
was
the
exact
time
that
Jesus
had
said,
"Your
son
will
live."
So
the
man
and
all
the
people
who
lived
in
his
house
believed
in
Jesus.
54
That
was
the
second
miracle
Jesus
did
after
coming
from
Judea
to
Galilee.
1 Corinthians 8:4
4
So
this
is
what
I
say
about
eating
meat
sacrificed
to
idols:
We
know
that
an
idol
is
really
nothing
in
the
world,
and
we
know
there
is
only
one
God.
1 Corinthians 10:19
19
I
do
not
mean
that
the
food
sacrificed
to
an
idol
is
important.
I
do
not
mean
that
an
idol
is
anything
at
all.
Revelation 2:20
20
But
I
have
this
against
you:
You
let
that
woman
Jezebel
spread
false
teachings.
She
says
she
is
a
prophetess,
but
by
her
teaching
she
leads
my
people
to
take
part
in
sexual
sins
and
to
eat
food
that
is
offered
to
idols.

1
Then
when
the
Lord
knew
that
the
Pharisees
heard
that
Jesus
made
more
disciples
and
baptized
more
than
John
2
(though
truly
Jesus
Himself
did
not
baptize,
but
His
disciples),
3
He
left
Judea
and
went
away
into
Galilee
again.
4
And
it
was
needful
for
Him
to
pass
through
Samaria.
5
And
He
came
to
a
Samaritan
city
called
Sychar,
near
the
piece
of
land
Jacob
gave
to
his
son
Joseph.
6
And
Jacob's
fountain
was
there.
Then
being
wearied
by
the
journey,
Jesus
sat
thus
on
the
fountain.
It
was
about
the
sixth
hour.
7
A
woman
came
out
of
Samaria
to
draw
water.
Jesus
said
to
her,
Give
Me
some
to
drink.
8
For
His
disciples
had
gone
away
into
the
city
that
they
might
buy
provisions.
9
Then
the
Samaritan
woman
said
to
Him,
How
do
You,
being
a
Jew,
ask
to
drink
from
me,
I
being
a
Samaritan
woman?
For
Jews
do
not
deal
with
Samaritans.
10
Jesus
answered
and
said
to
her,
If
you
knew
the
gift
of
God,
and
who
is
the
One
saying
to
you,
Give
Me
to
drink,
you
would
have
asked
Him,
and
He
would
give
you
living
water.
11
The
woman
said
to
Him,
Sir,
You
have
no
vessel,
and
the
well
is
deep.
From
where
then
do
You
have
living
water?
12
Are
You
greater
than
our
father
Jacob
who
gave
us
the
well,
and
he
and
his
sons
and
his
livestock
drank
out
of
it?
13
Jesus
answered
and
said
to
her,
Everyone
drinking
of
this
water
will
thirst
again;
14
but
whoever
may
drink
of
the
water
which
I
will
give
him
will
not
thirst,
never!
But
the
water
which
I
will
give
to
him
will
become
a
fountain
of
water
in
him,
springing
up
into
everlasting
life.
15
The
woman
said
to
Him,
Sir,
give
me
this
water,
that
I
may
not
thirst,
nor
come
here
to
draw.
16
Jesus
said
to
her,
Go,
call
your
husband
and
come
here.
17
And
the
woman
answered
and
said,
I
have
no
husband.
Jesus
said
to
her,
Well
did
you
say,
I
have
no
husband.
18
For
you
have
had
five
husbands,
and
now
he
whom
you
have
is
not
your
husband.
You
have
spoken
this
truly.
19
The
woman
said
to
Him,
Sir,
I
perceive
that
You
are
a
prophet.
20
Our
fathers
worshiped
in
this
mountain,
and
you
say
that
in
Jerusalem
is
the
place
where
it
is
necessary
to
worship.
21
Jesus
said
to
her,
Woman,
believe
Me
that
an
hour
is
coming
when
you
will
worship
the
Father
neither
in
this
mountain
nor
in
Jerusalem.
22
You
worship
what
you
do
not
know;
we
worship
what
we
know,
for
salvation
is
of
the
Jews.
23
But
an
hour
is
coming,
and
now
is,
when
the
true
worshipers
will
worship
the
Father
in
spirit
and
in
truth.
For
the
Father
also
seeks
such,
the
ones
worshiping
Him.
24
God
is
a
spirit,
and
the
ones
worshiping
Him
must
worship
in
spirit
and
truth.
25
The
woman
said
to
Him,
I
know
that
Messiah
is
coming,
the
One
called
Christ.
When
that
One
comes,
He
will
announce
to
us
all
things.
26
Jesus
said
to
her,
I
AM!
the
One
speaking
to
you.
27
And
on
this,
His
disciples
came
and
marveled
that
He
was
speaking
with
a
woman.
However,
no
one
said,
What
do
You
seek?
Or,
Why
do
You
speak
with
her?
28
Then
the
woman
left
her
waterpot
and
went
away
into
the
city
and
said
to
the
men,
29
Come,
see
a
Man
who
told
me
all
things,
whatever
I
did.
Is
this
One
not
the
Christ?
30
Therefore,
they
went
out
of
the
city
and
came
to
Him.
31
But
in
the
meantime
the
disciples
asked
Him,
saying,
Rabbi,
eat?
32
But
He
said
to
them,
I
have
food
to
eat
which
you
do
not
know.
33
Then
the
disciples
said
to
one
another,
No
one
brought
Him
food
to
eat?
34
Jesus
said
to
them,
My
food
is
that
I
should
do
the
will
of
Him
who
sent
Me,
and
that
I
may
finish
His
work.
35
Do
you
not
say,
It
is
yet
four
months
and
the
harvest
comes?
Behold,
I
say
to
you,
Lift
up
your
eyes
and
behold
the
fields,
for
they
are
already
white
to
harvest.
36
And
the
one
reaping
receives
reward,
and
gathers
fruit
to
everlasting
life,
so
that
both
the
one
sowing
and
the
one
reaping
may
rejoice
together.
37
For
in
this
the
word
is
true,
that
another
is
the
one
sowing,
and
another
the
one
reaping.
38
I
sent
you
to
reap
what
you
have
not
labored
over.
Others
have
labored,
and
you
have
entered
into
their
labor.
39
And
many
of
the
Samaritans
out
of
that
city
believed
into
Him,
because
of
the
word
of
the
woman
testifying,
He
told
me
all
things,
whatever
I
did.
40
Then
as
the
Samaritans
came
to
Him,
they
asked
Him
to
remain
with
them.
And
He
remained
there
two
days.
41
And
many
more
believed
through
His
Word.
42
And
they
said
to
the
woman,
We
no
longer
believe
because
of
your
saying;
for
we
ourselves
have
heard,
and
we
know
that
this
One
is
truly
the
Savior
of
the
world,
the
Christ.
43
But
after
the
two
days,
He
went
out
from
there,
and
went
away
into
Galilee.
44
For
Jesus
Himself
testified
that
a
prophet
has
no
honor
in
his
own
fatherland.
45
Therefore,
when
He
came
into
Galilee,
the
Galileans
received
Him,
seeing
all
things
which
He
did
in
Jerusalem
at
the
Feast.
For
they
also
went
to
the
Feast.
46
Then
Jesus
came
again
to
Cana
of
Galilee
where
He
made
the
water
wine.
And
there
was
a
certain
nobleman
whose
son
was
sick
in
Capernaum.
47
Hearing
that
Jesus
was
coming
from
Judea
into
Galilee,
this
one
went
out
to
Him
and
asked
Him
that
He
would
come
and
heal
his
son,
for
he
was
about
to
die.
48
Then
Jesus
said
to
him,
Unless
you
see
miraculous
signs
and
wonders,
you
will
not
at
all
believe.
49
The
nobleman
said
to
Him,
Sir,
come
down
before
my
child
dies.
50
Jesus
said
to
him,
Go!
Your
son
lives.
And
the
man
believed
the
word
which
Jesus
said
to
him,
and
went
away.
51
But
already,
as
he
was
going
down,
his
slaves
met
him
and
reported,
saying,
Your
child
lives.
52
He
then
asked
from
them
the
hour
in
which
he
had
gotten
better.
And
they
said
to
him,
Yesterday,
at
the
seventh
hour,
the
fever
left
him.
53
Then
the
father
knew
that
it
was
at
that
hour

Jesus

Your

lives.

he
himself,

his

house,
believed.

concerning

that
an
idolatrous
sacrifice
is
anything?
Revelation 2:20

But
I

a
few
things
against
you,
that
you

the

she

be
a
prophetess,
and
to
cause
My

to
go
astray,
and
to
commit
fornication,
and
to
eat
idol
sacrifices.

When
Jesus
knew
that
the
Pharisees
heard
He
was
making
and
baptizing
more
disciples
than
John
2
(though
Jesus
Himself
was
not
baptizing,
but
His
disciples
were),
3
He
left
Judea
and
went
again
to
Galilee.
4
He
had
to
travel
through
Samaria,
5
so
He
came
to
a
town
of
Samaria
called
Sychar
near
the
property
that
Jacob
had
given
his
son
Joseph.
6
Jacob's
well
was
there,
and
Jesus,
worn
out
from
His
journey,
sat
down
at
the
well.
It
was
about
six
in
the
evening.
7
A
woman
of
Samaria
came
to
draw
water.
"Give
Me
a
drink,"
Jesus
said
to
her,
8
for
His
disciples
had
gone
into
town
to
buy
food.
9
"How
is
it
that
You,
a
Jew,
ask
for
a
drink
from
me,
a
Samaritan
woman?"
she
asked
Him.
For
Jews
do
not
associate
with
Samaritans.
10
Jesus
answered,
"If
you
knew
the
gift
of
God,
and
who
is
saying
to
you,
'Give
Me
a
drink,'
you
would
ask
Him,
and
He
would
give
you
living
water."
11
"Sir,"
said
the
woman,
"You
don't
even
have
a
bucket,
and
the
well
is
deep.
So
where
do
you
get
this
'living
water'?
12
You
aren't
greater
than
our
father
Jacob,
are
you?
He
gave
us
the
well
and
drank
from
it
himself,
as
did
his
sons
and
livestock."
13
Jesus
said,
"Everyone
who
drinks
from
this
water
will
get
thirsty
again.
14
But
whoever
drinks
from
the
water
that
I
will
give
him
will
never
get
thirsty
again--
ever!
In
fact,
the
water
I
will
give
him
will
become
a
well
of
water
springing
up
within
him
for
eternal
life."
15
"Sir,"
the
woman
said
to
Him,
"give
me
this
water
so
I
won't
get
thirsty
and
come
here
to
draw
water."
16
"Go
call
your
husband,"
He
told
her,
"and
come
back
here."
17
"I
don't
have
a
husband,"
she
answered.
"You
have
correctly
said,
'I
don't
have
a
husband,'
"
Jesus
said.
18
"For
you've
had
five
husbands,
and
the
man
you
now
have
is
not
your
husband.
What
you
have
said
is
true."
19
"Sir,"
the
woman
replied,
"I
see
that
You
are
a
prophet.
20
Our
fathers
worshiped
on
this
mountain,
yet
you
Jews
say
that
the
place
to
worship
is
in
Jerusalem."
21
Jesus
told
her,
"Believe
Me,
woman,
an
hour
is
coming
when
you
will
worship
the
Father
neither
on
this
mountain
nor
in
Jerusalem.
22
You
Samaritans
worship
what
you
do
not
know.
We
worship
what
we
do
know,
because
salvation
is
from
the
Jews.
23
But
an
hour
is
coming,
and
is
now
here,
when
the
true
worshipers
will
worship
the
Father
in
spirit
and
truth.
Yes,
the
Father
wants
such
people
to
worship
Him.
24
God
is
spirit,
and
those
who
worship
Him
must
worship
in
spirit
and
truth."
25
The
woman
said
to
Him,
"I
know
that
Messiah
is
coming"
(who
is
called
Christ).
"When
He
comes,
He
will
explain
everything
to
us."
26
"I
am
He
,"
Jesus
told
her,
"the
One
speaking
to
you."
27
Just
then
His
disciples
arrived,
and
they
were
amazed
that
He
was
talking
with
a
woman.
Yet
no
one
said,
"What
do
You
want?"
or
"Why
are
You
talking
with
her?"
28
Then
the
woman
left
her
water
jar,
went
into
town,
and
told
the
men,
29
"Come,
see
a
man
who
told
me
everything
I
ever
did!
Could
this
be
the
Messiah?"
30
They
left
the
town
and
made
their
way
to
Him.
31
In
the
meantime
the
disciples
kept
urging
Him,
"Rabbi,
eat
something."
32
But
He
said,
"I
have
food
to
eat
that
you
don't
know
about."
33
The
disciples
said
to
one
another,
"Could
someone
have
brought
Him
something
to
eat?"
34
"My
food
is
to
do
the
will
of
Him
who
sent
Me
and
to
finish
His
work,"
Jesus
told
them.
35
"Don't
you
say,
'There
are
still
four
more
months,
then
comes
the
harvest'?
Listen
to
what
I'm
telling
you:
Open
your
eyes
and
look
at
the
fields,
for
they
are
ready
for
harvest.
36
The
reaper
is
already
receiving
pay
and
gathering
fruit
for
eternal
life,
so
the
sower
and
reaper
can
rejoice
together.
37
For
in
this
case
the
saying
is
true:
'One
sows
and
another
reaps.'
38
I
sent
you
to
reap
what
you
didn't
labor
for;
others
have
labored,
and
you
have
benefited
from
their
labor."
39
Now
many
Samaritans
from
that
town
believed
in
Him
because
of
what
the
woman
said
when
she
testified,
"He
told
me
everything
I
ever
did."
40
Therefore,
when
the
Samaritans
came
to
Him,
they
asked
Him
to
stay
with
them,
and
He
stayed
there
two
days.
41
Many
more
believed
because
of
what
He
said.
42
And
they
told
the
woman,
"We
no
longer
believe
because
of
what
you
said,
for
we
have
heard
for
ourselves
and
know
that
this
really
is
the
Savior
of
the
world."
43
After
two
days
He
left
there
for
Galilee.
44
Jesus
Himself
testified
that
a
prophet
has
no
honor
in
his
own
country.
45
When
they
entered
Galilee,
the
Galileans
welcomed
Him
because
they
had
seen
everything
He
did
in
Jerusalem
during
the
festival.
For
they
also
had
gone
to
the
festival.
46
Then
He
went
again
to
Cana
of
Galilee,
where
He
had
turned
the
water
into
wine.
There
was
a
certain
royal
official
whose
son
was
ill
at
Capernaum.
47
When
this
man
heard
that
Jesus
had
come
from
Judea
into
Galilee,
he
went
to
Him
and
pleaded
with
Him
to
come
down
and
heal
his
son,
for
he
was
about
to
die.
48
Jesus
told
him,
"Unless
you
people
see
signs
and
wonders,
you
will
not
believe."
49
"Sir,"
the
official
said
to
Him,
"come
down
before
my
boy
dies!"
50
"Go,"
Jesus
told
him,
"your
son
will
live."
The
man
believed
what
Jesus
said
to
him
and
departed.
51
While
he
was
still
going
down,
his
slaves
met
him
saying
that
his
boy
was
alive.
52
He
asked
them
at
what
time
he
got
better.
"Yesterday
at
seven
in
the
morning
the
fever
left
him,"
they
answered.
53
The
father
realized
this
was
the
very
hour
at
which
Jesus
had
told
him,
"Your
son
will
live."
Then
he
himself
believed,
along
with
his
whole
household.
54
This
therefore
was
the
second
sign
Jesus
performed
after
He
came
from
Judea
to
Galilee.
1 Corinthians 8:4

About
eating
food
offered
to
idols,
then,
we
know
that
"an
idol
is
nothing
in
the
world,"
and
that
"there
is
no
God
but
one."
1 Corinthians 10:19

What
am
I
saying
then?
That
food
offered
to
idols
is
anything,
or
that
an
idol
is
anything?

I

this
against
you:
you
tolerate

prophetess,
and
teaches
and
deceives
My
slaves
to
commit
sexual
immorality
and
to
eat
meat
sacrificed
to
idols.
