1
And
he
entered
into
a
ship,
and
passed
over,
and
came
into
his
own
city.
2
And,
behold,
they
brought
to
him
a
man
sick
of
the
palsy,
lying
on
a
bed:
and
Jesus
seeing
their
faith
said
unto
the
sick
of
the
palsy;
Son,
be
of
good
cheer;
thy
sins
be
forgiven
thee.
3
And,
behold,
certain
of
the
scribes
said
within
themselves,
This
man
blasphemeth.
4
And
Jesus
knowing
their
thoughts
said,
Wherefore
think
ye
evil
in
your
hearts?
5
For
whether
is
easier,
to
say,
Thy
sins
be
forgiven
thee;
or
to
say,
Arise,
and
walk?
6
But
that
ye
may
know
that
the
Son
of
man
hath
power
on
earth
to
forgive
sins,
(then
saith
he
to
the
sick
of
the
palsy,)
Arise,
take
up
thy
bed,
and
go
unto
thine
house.
7
And
he
arose,
and
departed
to
his
house.
8
But
when
the
multitudes
saw
it,
they
marvelled,
and
glorified
God,
which
had
given
such
power
unto
men.
9
And
as
Jesus
passed
forth
from
thence,
he
saw
a
man,
named
Matthew,
sitting
at
the
receipt
of
custom:
and
he
saith
unto
him,
Follow
me.
And
he
arose,
and
followed
him.
10
And
it
came
to
pass,
as
Jesus
sat
at
meat
in
the
house,
behold,
many
publicans
and
sinners
came
and
sat
down
with
him
and
his
disciples.
11
And
when
the
Pharisees
saw
it,
they
said
unto
his
disciples,
Why
eateth
your
Master
with
publicans
and
sinners?
12
But
when
Jesus
heard
that,
he
said
unto
them,
They
that
be
whole
need
not
a
physician,
but
they
that
are
sick.
13
But
go
ye
and
learn
what
that
meaneth,
I
will
have
mercy,
and
not
sacrifice:
for
I
am
not
come
to
call
the
righteous,
but
sinners
to
repentance.
14
Then
came
to
him
the
disciples
of
John,
saying,
Why
do
we
and
the
Pharisees
fast
oft,
but
thy
disciples
fast
not?
15
And
Jesus
said
unto
them,
Can
the
children
of
the
bridechamber
mourn,
as
long
as
the
bridegroom
is
with
them?
but
the
days
will
come,
when
the
bridegroom
shall
be
taken
from
them,
and
then
shall
they
fast.
16
No
man
putteth
a
piece
of
new
cloth
unto
an
old
garment,
for
that
which
is
put
in
to
fill
it
up
taketh
from
the
garment,
and
the
rent
is
made
worse.
17
Neither
do
men
put
new
wine
into
old
bottles:
else
the
bottles
break,
and
the
wine
runneth
out,
and
the
bottles
perish:
but
they
put
new
wine
into
new
bottles,
and
both
are
preserved.
18
While
he
spake
these
things
unto
them,
behold,
there
came
a
certain
ruler,
and
worshipped
him,
saying,
My
daughter
is
even
now
dead:
but
come
and
lay
thy
hand
upon
her,
and
she
shall
live.
19
And
Jesus
arose,
and
followed
him,
and
so
did
his
disciples.
20
And,
behold,
a
woman,
which
was
diseased
with
an
issue
of
blood
twelve
years,
came
behind
him,
and
touched
the
hem
of
his
garment:
21
For
she
said
within
herself,
If
I
may
but
touch
his
garment,
I
shall
be
whole.
22
But
Jesus
turned
him
about,
and
when
he
saw
her,
he
said,
Daughter,
be
of
good
comfort;
thy
faith
hath
made
thee
whole.
And
the
woman
was
made
whole
from
that
hour.
23
And
when
Jesus
came
into
the
ruler’s
house,
and
saw
the
minstrels
and
the
people
making
a
noise,
24
He
said
unto
them,
Give
place:
for
the
maid
is
not
dead,
but
sleepeth.
And
they
laughed
him
to
scorn.
25
But
when
the
people
were
put
forth,
he
went
in,
and
took
her
by
the
hand,
and
the
maid
arose.
26
And
the
fame
hereof
went
abroad
into
all
that
land.
27
And
when
Jesus
departed
thence,
two
blind
men
followed
him,
crying,
and
saying,
Thou
Son
of
David,
have
mercy
on
us.
28
And
when
he
was
come
into
the
house,
the
blind
men
came
to
him:
and
Jesus
saith
unto
them,
Believe
ye
that
I
am
able
to
do
this?
They
said
unto
him,
Yea,
Lord.
29
Then
touched
he
their
eyes,
saying,
According
to
your
faith
be
it
unto
you.
30
And
their
eyes
were
opened;
and
Jesus
straitly
charged
them,
saying,
See
that
no
man
know
it.
31
But
they,
when
they
were
departed,
spread
abroad
his
fame
in
all
that
country.
32
As
they
went
out,
behold,
they
brought
to
him
a
dumb
man
possessed
with
a
devil.
33
And
when
the
devil
was
cast
out,
the
dumb
spake:
and
the
multitudes
marvelled,
saying,
It
was
never
so
seen
in
Israel.
34
But
the
Pharisees
said,
He
casteth
out
devils
through
the
prince
of
the
devils.
35
And
Jesus
went
about
all
the
cities
and
villages,
teaching
in
their
synagogues,
and
preaching
the
gospel
of
the
kingdom,
and
healing
every
sickness
and
every
disease
among
the
people.
36
But
when
he
saw
the
multitudes,
he
was
moved
with
compassion
on
them,
because
they
fainted,
and
were
scattered
abroad,
as
sheep
having
no
shepherd.
37
Then
saith
he
unto
his
disciples,
The
harvest
truly
is
plenteous,
but
the
labourers
are
few;
38
Pray
ye
therefore
the
Lord
of
the
harvest,
that
he
will
send
forth
labourers
into
his
harvest.
Mark 2:14
14
And
as
he
passed
by,
he
saw
Levi
the
son
of
Alphaeus
sitting
at
the
receipt
of
custom,
and
said
unto
him,
Follow
me.
And
he
arose
and
followed
him.

1
And
having
gone
to
the
boat,
he
passed
over,
and
came
to
his
own
city,
2
and
lo,
they
were
bringing
to
him
a
paralytic,
laid
upon
a
couch,
and
Jesus
having
seen
their
faith,
said
to
the
paralytic,
`Be
of
good
courage,
child,
thy
sins
have
been
forgiven
thee.`
3
And
lo,
certain
of
the
scribes
said
within
themselves,
`This
one
doth
speak
evil.`
4
And
Jesus,
having
known
their
thoughts,
said,
`Why
think
ye
evil
in
your
hearts?
5
for
which
is
easier?
to
say,
The
sins
have
been
forgiven
to
thee;
or
to
say,
Rise,
and
walk?
6
`But,
that
ye
may
know
that
the
Son
of
Man
hath
power
upon
the
earth
to
forgive
sins
--
(then
saith
he
to
the
paralytic)
--
having
risen,
take
up
thy
couch,
and
go
to
thy
house.`
7
And
he,
having
risen,
went
to
his
house,
8
and
the
multitudes
having
seen,
wondered,
and
glorified
God,
who
did
give
such
power
to
men.
9
And
Jesus
passing
by
thence,
saw
a
man
sitting
at
the
tax-office,
named
Matthew,
and
saith
to
him,
`Be
following
me,`
and
he,
having
risen,
did
follow
him.
10
And
it
came
to
pass,
he
reclining
(at
meat)
in
the
house,
that
lo,
many
tax-gatherers
and
sinners
having
come,
were
lying
(at
meat)
with
Jesus
and
his
disciples,
11
and
the
Pharisees
having
seen,
said
to
his
disciples,
`Wherefore
with
the
tax-gatherers
and
sinners
doth
your
teacher
eat?`
12
And
Jesus
having
heard,
said
to
them,
`They
who
are
whole
have
no
need
of
a
physician,
but
they
who

but
having

Kindness
I
will,
and
not

for
I
did
not
come
to
call
righteous
men,
but
sinners,
to
reformation.`
14
Then
come
to
him
do
the
disciples
of
John,
saying,
`Wherefore
do
we
and
the
Pharisees
fast
much,
and
thy
disciples
fast
not?`
15
And
Jesus
said
to
them,
`Can
the
sons
of
the
bride-chamber
mourn,
so
long
as
the
bridegroom
is
with
them?
but
days
shall
come
when
the
bridegroom
may
be
taken
from
them,
and
then
they
shall
fast.
16
`And
no
one
doth
put
a
patch
of
undressed
cloth
on
an
old
garment,
for
its
filling
up
doth
take
from
the
garment,
and
a
worse
rent
is
made.
17
`Nor
do
they
put
new
wine
into
old
skins,
and
if
not
--
the
skins
burst,
and
the
wine
doth
run
out,
and
the
skins
are
destroyed,
but
they
put
new
wine
into
new
skins,
and
both
are
preserved
together.`
18
While
he
is
speaking
these
things
to
them,
lo,
a
ruler
having
come,
was
bowing
to
him,
saying
that
`My
daughter
just
now
died,
but,
having
come,
lay
thy
hand
upon
her,
and
she
shall
live.`
19
And
Jesus
having
risen,
did
follow
him,
also
his
disciples,
20
and
lo,
a
woman
having
an
issue
of
blood
twelve
years,
having
come
to
him
behind,
did
touch
the
fringe
of
his
garments,
21
for
she
said
within
herself,
`If
only
I
may
touch
his
garment,
I
shall
be
saved.`
22
And
Jesus
having
turned
about,
and
having
seen
her,
said,
`Be
of
good
courage,
daughter,
thy
faith
hath
saved
thee,`
and
the
woman
was
saved
from
that
hour.
23
And
Jesus
having
come
to
the
house
of
the
ruler,
and
having
seen
the
minstrels
and
the
multitude
making
tumult,
24
he
saith
to
them,
`Withdraw,
for
the
damsel
did
not
die,
but
doth
sleep,`
and
they
were
deriding
him;
25
but,
when
the
multitude
was
put
forth,
having
gone
in,
he
took
hold
of
her
hand,
and
the
damsel
arose,
26
and
the
fame
of
this
went
forth
to
all
the
land.
27
And
Jesus
passing
on
thence,
two
blind
men
followed
him,
calling
and
saying,
`Deal
kindly
with
us,
Son
of
David.`
28
And
he
having
come
to
the
house,
the
blind
men
came
to
him,
and
Jesus
saith
to
them,
`Believe
ye
that
I
am
able
to
do
this?`
They
say
to
him,
`Yes,
sir.`
29
Then
touched
he
their
eyes,
saying,
`According
to
your
faith
let
it
be
to
you,`
30
and
their
eyes
were
opened,
and
Jesus
strictly
charged
them,
saying,
`See,
let
no
one
know;`
31
but
they,
having
gone
forth,
did
spread
his
fame
in
all
that
land.
32
And
as
they
are
coming
forth,
lo,
they
brought
to
him
a
man
dumb,
a
demoniac,
33
and
the
demon
having
been
cast
out,
the
dumb
spake,
and
the
multitude
did
wonder,
saying
that
`It
was
never
so
seen
in
Israel:`
34
but
the
Pharisees
said,
`By
the
ruler
of
the
demons
he
doth
cast
out
the
demons.`
35
And
Jesus
was
going
up
and
down
all
the
cities
and
the
villages,
teaching
in
their
synagogues,
and
proclaiming
the
good
news
of
the
reign,
and
healing
every
sickness
and
every
malady
among
the
people.
36
And
having
seen
the
multitudes,
he
was
moved
with
compassion
for
them,
that
they
were
faint
and
cast
aside,
as
sheep
not
having
a
shepherd,
37
then
saith
he
to
his
disciples,
`The
harvest
indeed
is
abundant,
but
the
workmen
few;
38
beseech
ye
therefore
the
Lord
of
the
harvest,
that
he
may
put
forth
workmen
to
His
harvest.`

having

did
follow
him.

to
herself,
"If
only
I
touch
his
cloak,
I
will
be
healed."
22
But
when
Jesus
turned
and
saw
her
he
said,
"Have
courage,
daughter!
Your
faith
has
made
you
well."
And
the
woman
was
healed
from
that
hour.
23
When
Jesus
entered
the
ruler's
house
and
saw
the
flute
players
and
the
disorderly
crowd,
24
he
said,
"Go
away,
for
the
girl
is
not
dead
but
asleep."
And
they
began
making
fun
of
him.
25
But
when
the
crowd
had
been
put
outside,
he
went
in
and
gently
took
her
by
the
hand,
and
the
girl
got
up.
26
And
the
news
of
this
spread
throughout
that
region.
27
As
Jesus
went
on
from
there,
two
blind
men
followed
him,
shouting,
"Have
mercy
on
us,
Son
of
David!"
28
When
he
went
into
the
house,
the
blind
men
came
to
him.
Jesus
said
to
them,
"Do
you
believe
that
I
am
able
to
do
this?"
They
said
to
him,
"Yes,
Lord."
29
Then
he
touched
their
eyes
saying,
"Let
it
be
done
for
you
according
to
your
faith."
30
And
their
eyes
were
opened.
Then
Jesus
sternly
warned
them,
"See
that
no
one
knows
about
this."
31
But
they
went
out
and
spread
the
news
about
him
throughout
that
entire
region.
32
As
they
were
going
away,
a
man
who
could
not
talk
and
was
demon-possessed
was
brought
to
him.
33
After
the
demon
was
cast
out,
the
man
who
had
been
mute
spoke.
The
crowds
were
amazed
and
said,
"Never
has
anything
like
this
been
seen
in
Israel!"
34
But
the
Pharisees
said,
"By
the
ruler
of
demons
he
casts
out
demons."
35
Then
Jesus
went
throughout
all
the
towns
and
villages,
teaching
in
their
synagogues,
preaching
the
good
news
of
the
kingdom,
and
healing
every
kind
of
disease
and
sickness.
36
When
he
saw
the
crowds,
he
had
compassion
on
them
because
they
were
bewildered
and
helpless,
like
sheep
without
a
shepherd.
37
Then
he
said
to
his
disciples,
"The
harvest
is
plentiful,
but
the
workers
are
few.
38
Therefore
ask
the
Lord
of
the
harvest
to
send
out
workers
into
his
harvest."
Mark 2:14
14
As
he
went
along,
he
saw
Levi,
the
son
of
Alphaeus,
sitting
at
the
tax
booth.
"Follow
me,"
he
said
to
him.
And
he
got
up
and
followed
him.

1
Jesus
got
into
a
boat
and
went
back
across
the
lake
to
his
own
town.
2
Some
people
brought
to
him
a
man
who
was
paralyzed
and
was
lying
on
a
mat.
Jesus
saw
that
these
people
had
much
faith.
So
he
said
to
the
paralyzed
man,
"Young
man,
you
will
be
glad
to
hear
this.
Your
sins
are
forgiven."
3
Some
of
the
teachers
of
the
law
heard
what
Jesus
said.
They
said
to
themselves,
"What
an
insult
to
God
for
this
man
to
say
that!"
4
Jesus
knew
what
they
were
thinking.
So
he
said,
"Why
are
you
thinking
such
evil
thoughts?
5
The
Son
of
Man
has
power
on
earth
to
forgive
sins.
But
how
can
I
prove
this
to
you?
Maybe
you
are
thinking
it
was
easy
for
me
to
say,
'Your
sins
are
forgiven.'
There's
no
proof
that
it
really
happened.
But
what
if
I
say
to
the
man,
'Stand
up
and
walk'?
Then
you
will
be
able
to
see
that
I
really
have
this
power."
So
Jesus
said
to
the
paralyzed
man,
"Stand
up.
Take
your
mat
and
go
home."

this

God
for
letting
someone
have
such
power.
9
When
Jesus
was
leaving,
he
saw
a
man
named
Matthew
sitting
at
the
place
for
collecting
taxes.
Jesus
said
to
him,
"Follow
me."
So
he
got
up
and
followed
Jesus.
10
Jesus
ate
dinner
at
Matthew's
house.
Many
tax
collectors
and
others
with
bad
reputations
came
and
ate
with
him
and
his
followers.
11
The
Pharisees
saw
that
Jesus
was
eating
with
these
people.
They
asked
his
followers,
"Why
does
your
teacher
eat
with
tax
collectors
and
other
sinners?"
12
Jesus
heard
them
say
this.
So
he
said
to
them,
"It
is
the
sick
people
who
need
a
doctor,
not
those
who
are
healthy.
13
You
need
to
go
and
learn
what
this
Scripture
means:
'I
don't
want
animal
sacrifices;
I
want
you
to
show
kindness
to
people.'
I
did
not
come
to
invite
good
people.
I
came
to
invite
sinners."
14
Then
the
followers
of
John
came
to
Jesus
and
said,
"We
and
the
Pharisees
fast
often,
but
your
followers
don't
ever
fast.
Why?"
15
Jesus
answered,
"At
a
wedding
the
friends
of
the
bridegroom
are
not
sad
while
he
is
with
them.
They
cannot
fast
then.
But
the
time
will
come
when
the
bridegroom
will
be
taken
from
them.
Then
they
will
fast.
16
"When
someone
sews
a
patch
over
a
hole
in
an
old
coat,
they
never
use
a
piece
of
cloth
that
has
not
already
been
shrunk.
If
they
do,
the
patch
will
shrink
and
pull
away
from
the
coat.
Then
the
hole
will
be
worse.
17
Also,
people
never
pour
new
wine
into
old
wineskins.
They
would
break,
the
wine
would
spill
out,
and
the
wineskins
would
be
ruined.
People
always
put
new
wine
into
new
wineskins,
which
won't
break,
and
the
wine
stays
good."
18
While
Jesus
was
still
talking,
a
leader
of
the
synagogue
came
to
him.
The
leader
bowed
down
before
him
and
said,
"My
daughter
has
just
died.
But
if
you
will
come
and
touch
her
with
your
hand,
she
will
live
again."
19
So
Jesus
and
his
followers
went
with
the
man.
20
On
the
way,
there
was
a
woman
who
had
been
bleeding
for
twelve
years.
She
came
close
behind
Jesus
and
touched
the
bottom
of
his
coat.
21
She
was
thinking,
"If
I
can
touch
his
coat,
I
will
be
healed."
22
Jesus
turned
and
saw
the
woman.
He
said,
"Be
happy,
dear
woman.
You
are
made
well
because
you
believed."
Then
the
woman
was
healed.
23
Jesus
continued
going
with
the
Jewish
leader
and
went
into
the
leader's
house.
He
saw
people
there
who
make
music
for
funerals.
And
he
saw
a
crowd
of
people
crying
loudly.
24
Jesus
said,
"Go
away.
The
girl
is
not
dead.
She
is
only
sleeping."
But
the
people
laughed
at
him.
25
After
the
people
were
put
out
of
the
house,
Jesus
went
into
the
girl's
room.
He
held
the
girl's
hand,
and
the
girl
stood
up.
26
The
news
about
this
spread
all
around
the
area.
27
As
Jesus
was
going
away
from
there,
two
blind
men
followed
him.
They
said
loudly,
"Show
kindness
to
us,
Son
of
David.
"
28
Jesus
went
inside,
and
the
blind
men
went
with
him.
He
asked
them,
"Do
you
believe
that
I
am
able
to
make
you
see
again?"
They
answered,
"Yes,
Lord,
we
believe."
29
Then
Jesus
touched
their
eyes
and
said,
"You
believe
that
I
can
make
you
see
again,
so
it
will
happen."
30
Then
the
men
were
able
to
see.
Jesus
gave
them
a
strong
warning.
He
said,
"Don't

this."
31

they

33
Jesus
forced
the
demon
out,
and
the

The

said,

Jesus
traveled

He
taught
in
their
synagogues
and
told
people
the
Good
News
about
God's
kingdom.
He
healed
all
kinds
of
diseases
and
sicknesses.
36
Jesus
saw
the
many
people
and
felt
sorry
for
them
because
they
were
worried
and
helpless—
like
sheep
without
a
shepherd
to
lead
them.
37
Jesus
said
to
his
followers,
"There
is
such
a
big
harvest
of
people
to
bring
in.
But
there
are
only
a
few
workers
to
help
harvest
them.
38
God
owns
the
harvest.
Ask
him
to
send
more
workers
to
help
gather
his
harvest."

Levi
stood
up
and
followed
Jesus.

to
the
followers
of
Jesus,
"Why
does

12
Jesus
heard
them
and
said,
"People

13
But
go
and
understand
these

6:6)
For
I
have

I
have

14
Then
the
followers
of
John
the

came
to
Jesus.
They
asked,
"Why

His

went
also.

blood
for
twelve
years
came
from
behind.
She
touched
the

21
She
said
to
herself,
"If
I

22
Then
Jesus
turned

He
saw

said,
"Daughter,

At
once
the
woman
was
healed.
23
Jesus
came
into
the
leader's
house.
He
saw
the
people
playing
music
and
making
much
noise.
24
He
said
to
them,
"Go

For
the

But
they
laughed
at
Him.
25
He
sent
the
people
outside.
Then
He
went
in
and
took
the
girl's
hand.
She
was
raised
up.
26
News
of
this
went
out
into
all
the
country.
27
Jesus
went
on
from
there.
Two
blind
men
followed
Him.
They
called
out,
"Take
pity
on
us,
Son
of

28
Jesus
went
into
the
house.
The
blind
men
came
to
Him.
Then
Jesus
said
to
them,
"Do
you
have
faith
that
I
can
do
this?"
They
said
to
Him,
"Yes,
Sir!"
29
Then
Jesus
put
His
hands
on
their
eyes
and
said,
"You
will
have
what
you
want
because
you
have
faith."
30
Their
eyes
were
opened.
Jesus
told
them
to
tell
no
one.
31
But
when
they
had
gone,
they
told
about
Him
everywhere
in
the
country.
32
As
they
went
on
their
way,
a
man
who
had
a
demon
and
could
not
talk
was
brought
to
Jesus.
33
When
the
demon
was
put
out
of
him,
the
man
was
able
to
talk.
Many
people
were
surprised
and
wondered
about
it.
They
said,
"We

But
the
proud

lawkeepers
said,
"He

Jesus
went
on
to
all
the
towns
and
cities.
He
taught
in
their
places
of
worship.
He
preached
the
Good
News
of
the
holy
nation
of
God.
He
healed
every
sickness
and
disease
the
people
had.
36
As
He
saw
many
people,
He
had
loving-pity
on
them.
They
were
troubled
and
were
walking
around
everywhere.
They
were
like
sheep
without
a
shepherd.
37
Then
He
said
to
His
followers,
"There
is
much
grain
ready
to
gather.
But
the
workmen
are
few.
38
Pray
then
to
the
Lord
Who
is
the
Owner
of
the
grain
fields
that
He
will
send
workmen
to
gather
His
grain."
Mark 2:14
14
He
walked
farther
and
saw
Levi
(Matthew)
the
son
of
Alphaeus.
Levi
was
sitting

1
Jesus
got
into
a
boat
and
went
back
across
the
lake
to
his
own
town.
2
Some
people
brought
to
Jesus
a
man
who
was
paralyzed
and
lying
on
a
mat.
When
Jesus
saw
the
faith
of
these
people,
he
said
to
the
paralyzed
man,
"Be
encouraged,
young
man.
Your
sins
are
forgiven."
3
Some
of
the
teachers
of
the
law
said
to
themselves,
"This
man
speaks
as
if
he
were
God.
That
is
blasphemy!"
4
Knowing
their
thoughts,
Jesus
said,
"Why
are
you
thinking
evil
thoughts?
5
Which
is
easier:
to
say,
'Your
sins
are
forgiven,'
or
to
tell
him,
'Stand
up
and
walk'?
6
But
I
will
prove
to
you
that
the
Son
of
Man
has
authority
on
earth
to
forgive
sins."
Then
Jesus
said
to
the
paralyzed
man,
"Stand
up,
take
your
mat,
and
go
home."
7
And
the
man
stood
up
and
went
home.
8
When
the
people
saw
this,
they
were
amazed
and
praised
God
for
giving
power
like
this
to
human
beings.
9
When
Jesus
was
leaving,
he
saw
a
man
named
Matthew
sitting
in
the
tax
collector's
booth.
Jesus
said
to
him,
"Follow
me,"
and
he
stood
up
and
followed
Jesus.
10
As
Jesus
was
having
dinner
at
Matthew's
house,
many
tax
collectors
and
"sinners"
came
and
ate
with
Jesus
and
his
followers.
11
When
the
Pharisees
saw
this,
they
asked
Jesus'
followers,
"Why
does
your
teacher
eat
with
tax
collectors
and
sinners?"
12
When
Jesus
heard
them,
he
said,
"It
is
not
the
healthy
people
who
need
a
doctor,
but
the
sick.
13
Go
and
learn
what
this
means:
'I
want
kindness
more
than
I
want
animal
sacrifices.'
I
did
not
come
to
invite
good
people
but
to
invite
sinners."
14
Then
the
followers
of
John
came
to
Jesus
and
said,
"Why
do
we
and
the
Pharisees
often
give
up
eating
for
a
certain
time,
but
your
followers
don't?"
15
Jesus
answered,
"The
friends
of
the
bridegroom
are
not
sad
while
he
is
with
them.
But
the
time
will
come
when
the
bridegroom
will
be
taken
from
them,
and
then
they
will
give
up
eating.
16
"No
one
sews
a
patch
of
unshrunk
cloth
over
a
hole
in
an
old
coat.
If
he
does,
the
patch
will
shrink
and
pull
away
from
the
coat,
making
the
hole
worse.
17
Also,
people
never
pour
new
wine
into
old
leather
bags.
Otherwise,
the
bags
will
break,
the
wine
will
spill,
and
the
wine
bags
will
be
ruined.
But
people
always
pour
new
wine
into
new
wine
bags.
Then
both
will
continue
to
be
good."
18
While
Jesus
was
saying
these
things,
a
leader
of
the
synagogue
came
to
him.
He
bowed
down
before
Jesus
and
said,
"My
daughter
has
just
died.
But
if
you
come
and
lay
your
hand
on
her,
she
will
live
again."
19
So
Jesus
and
his
followers
stood
up
and
went
with
the
leader.
20
Then
a
woman
who
had
been
bleeding
for
twelve
years
came
behind
Jesus
and
touched
the
edge
of
his
coat.
21
She
was
thinking,
"If
I
can
just
touch
his
clothes,
I
will
be
healed."
22
Jesus
turned
and
saw
the
woman
and
said,
"Be
encouraged,
dear
woman.
You
are
made
well
because
you
believed."
And
the
woman
was
healed
from
that
moment
on.
23
Jesus
continued
along
with
the
leader
and
went
into
his
house.
There
he
saw
the
funeral
musicians
and
many
people
crying.
24
Jesus
said,
"Go
away.
The
girl
is
not
dead,
only
asleep."
But
the
people
laughed
at
him.
25
After
the
crowd
had
been
thrown
out
of
the
house,
Jesus
went
into
the
girl's
room
and
took
hold
of
her
hand,
and
she
stood
up.
26
The
news
about
this
spread
all
around
the
area.
27
When
Jesus
was
leaving
there,
two
blind
men
followed
him.
They
cried
out,
"Have
mercy
on
us,
Son
of
David!"
28
After
Jesus
went
inside,
the
blind
men
went
with
him.
He
asked
the
men,
"Do
you
believe
that
I
can
make
you
see
again?"
They
answered,
"Yes,
Lord."
29
Then
Jesus
touched
their
eyes
and
said,
"Because
you
believe
I
can
make
you
see
again,
it
will
happen."
30
Then
the
men
were
able
to
see.
But
Jesus
warned
them
strongly,
saying,
"Don't
tell
anyone
about
this."
31
But
the
blind
men
left
and
spread
the
news
about
Jesus
all
around
that
area.
32
When
the
two
men
were
leaving,
some
people
brought
another
man
to
Jesus.
This
man
could
not
talk
because
he
had
a
demon
in
him.
33
After
Jesus
forced
the
demon
to
leave
the
man,
he
was
able
to
speak.
The
crowd
was
amazed
and
said,
"We
have
never
seen
anything
like
this
in
Israel."
34
But
the
Pharisees
said,
"The
prince
of
demons
is
the
one
that
gives
him
power
to
force
demons
out."
35
Jesus
traveled
through
all
the
towns
and
villages,
teaching
in
their
synagogues,
preaching
the
Good
News
about
the
kingdom,
and
healing
all
kinds
of
diseases
and
sicknesses.
36
When
he
saw
the
crowds,
he
felt
sorry
for
them
because
they
were
hurting
and
helpless,
like
sheep
without
a
shepherd.
37
Jesus
said
to
his
followers,
"There
are
many
people
to
harvest
but
only
a
few
workers
to
help
harvest
them.
38
Pray
to
the
Lord,
who
owns
the
harvest,
that
he
will
send
more
workers
to
gather
his
harvest."
Mark 2:14
14
While
he
was
walking
along,
he
saw
a
man
named
Levi
son
of
Alphaeus,
sitting
in
the
tax
collector's
booth.
Jesus
said
to
him,
"Follow
me,"
and
he
stood
up
and
followed
Jesus.

Nor

otherwise,
the
skins

burst,
and
the
wine
pours
out,
and
the
skins
will

But
they
put
new
wine
into
fresh
skins,
and
both
are

As
He
was
speaking
these
things
to

behold,
one
ruler
coming
worshiped
before
Him,
saying,
My

twelve

21
For
she
said
within
herself,

22
But
turning

Him,
crying

saying,
Have

Son

coming

the
blind

came
near

Him.
And
Jesus
says
to

Do
you

this?
And
they
said
to
Him,
Yes,
Lord.
29
Then
He
touched
their
eyes,
saying,
According
to
your
faith
let
it
be
to
you.
30
And
their
eyes
were
opened.
And
Jesus
strictly
ordered
them,
saying,
See,
let
no

31
But
going
out,
they
made
Him
known
in
all

as
they
were
going
out,

they
brought

a
dumb

having
been
possessed
by
a
demon.
33
And
the
demon
being
cast
out,
the
dumb
one
spoke.
And
the
crowds
marveled,
saying,
Never
was
it
seen
this
way
in
Israel.
34
But
the
Pharisees
said,
He
casts
out
the
demons
by
the
ruler
of
the
demons.
35
And
Jesus
went
about
all
the
cities
and
the

teaching

synagogues,
and
proclaiming
the
gospel
of
the
kingdom,
and
healing
every
sickness
and
every
weakness
of
body
among
the
people.
36
And
seeing
the
crowds,
He
was
moved
with
pity
concerning
them,
because
they
were
weary
and
scattered,
like
sheep
having
no
shepherd.
37
Then
He
said
to
His
disciples,
The
harvest
truly
is
great,
but
the
workers
few.
38
Pray
then
that
the
Lord
of
the
harvest
may
send
out
workers
into
His
harvest.

And
rising
up,
he

Him.

leader's
house,
He
saw
the
flute
players
and
a
crowd
lamenting
loudly.
24
"Leave,"
He
said,
"because
the
girl
isn't
dead,
but
sleeping."
And
they
started
laughing
at
Him.
25
But
when
the
crowd
had
been
put
outside,
He
went
in
and
took
her
by
the
hand,
and
the
girl
got
up.
26
And
this
news
spread
throughout
that
whole
area.
27
As
Jesus
went
on
from
there,
two
blind
men
followed
Him,
shouting,
"Have
mercy
on
us,
Son
of
David!"
28
When
He
entered
the
house,
the
blind
men
approached
Him,
and
Jesus
said
to
them,
"Do
you
believe
that
I
can
do
this?"
"Yes,
Lord,"
they
answered
Him.
29
Then
He
touched
their
eyes,
saying,
"Let
it
be
done
for
you
according
to
your
faith!"
30
And
their
eyes
were
opened.
Then
Jesus
warned
them
sternly,
"Be
sure
that
no
one
finds
out!"
31
But
they
went
out
and
spread
the
news
about
Him
throughout
that
whole
area.
32
Just
as
they
were
going
out,
a
demon-possessed
man
who
was
unable
to
speak
was
brought
to
Him.
33
When
the
demon
had
been
driven
out,
the
man
spoke.
And
the
crowds
were
amazed,
saying,
"Nothing
like
this
has
ever
been
seen
in
Israel!"
34
But
the
Pharisees
said,
"He
drives
out
demons
by
the
ruler
of
the
demons!"
35
Then
Jesus
went
to
all
the
towns
and
villages,
teaching
in
their
synagogues,
preaching
the
good
news
of
the
kingdom,
and
healing
every
disease
and
every
sickness.
36
When
He
saw
the
crowds,
He
felt
compassion
for
them,
because
they
were
weary
and
worn
out,
like
sheep
without
a
shepherd.
37
Then
He
said
to
His
disciples,
"The
harvest
is
abundant,
but
the
workers
are
few.
38
Therefore,
pray
to
the
Lord
of
the
harvest
to
send
out
workers
into
His
harvest."
Mark 2:14
14
Then,
moving
on,
He
saw
Levi
the
son
of
Alphaeus
sitting
at
the
tax
office,
and
He
said
to
him,
"Follow
Me!"
So
he
got
up
and
followed
Him.
