1 প্রভুর পরাক্রম আমার উপর এল আর তা আমাকে বহন করে শহরের বাইরে নিয়ে গিয়ে উপত্যকার মাঝখানে এনে দাঁড় করাল| সেই উপত্যকা মৃতের অস্থিতে পূর্ণ ছিল|
2 সেই উপত্যকার মাটিতে অনেক অস্থি পড়েছিল| প্রভু সেই অস্থির চারপাশে আমাকে হাঁটালেন| আমি দেখলাম অস্থিগুলো অত্যন্ত শুকনো|
3 তখন প্রভু, আমার সদাপ্রভু বললেন, “হে মনুষ্যসন্তান, এই অস্থিগুলি কি জীবন পেতে পারে?”আমি উত্তর দিলাম, “প্রভু আমার সদাপ্রভু, এই প্রশ্োনর উত্তর কেবল আপনিই দিতে পারেন|”
4 প্রভু আমার সদাপ্রভু বললেন, “আমার হয়ে ঐসব অস্থির কাছে কথা বল| বল, ‘ওহে শুকনো হাড়গোড়, প্রভুর এই বাক্য শোন!
5 প্রভু আমার সদাপ্রভু তোমাদের এই কথা বলেন: ‘দেখ আমি তোমাদের মধ্যে জীবনের শ্বাসপ্রশ্বাস পুনরায় স্থাপন করছি!
6 আমি তোমাদের শিরা ও পেশী দিয়ে গড়ব ও তোমাদের চামড়া দিয়ে ঢেকে দেব| তারপর আমি তোমাদের নিঃশ্বাস বাযু দেব আর তোমরা জীবন ফিরে পাবে; তখন তোমরা জানবে যে আমিই প্রভু এবং সদাপ্রভু|”
7 সেই জন্য আমি প্রভুর হয়ে তার বাক্য়ানুসারে অস্থিগুলোর কাছে কথা বললাম| আমি যখন কথা বলছিলাম সেই সময় খুব জোরালো একটা শব্দ শুনলাম| অস্থিগুলো খট্খট্ শব্দ করে একে অপরের সঙ্গে যুক্ত হতে শুরু করল|
8 সেই খানে আমার চোখের সামনে, শিরা ও পেশী অস্থিগুলোকে ঢেকে দিল, পরে চামড়াও সেগুলো ঢেকে দিল| কিন্তু তারা নিঃশ্বাস নিতে শুরু করল না|
9 তখন প্রভু আমার সদাপ্রভু আমায় বললেন, “হে মনুষ্যসন্তান, আমার হয়ে বাতাসকে বল, প্রভু আমার সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন: ‘হে বাযু চারিদিক থেকে এসে এই মৃতদেহগুলির মধ্যে প্রবেশ কর| তাদের মধ্যে প্রবেশ করলে তাদের জীবন ফিরে আসবে!”‘
10 তাই প্রভু যেমনটি বলেছিলেন, তাঁর হয়ে আমি বাতাসের সাথে সেই ভাবেই কথা বললাম আর সেই মৃতদেহগুলির মধ্যে আত্মা এল| তারা জীবনে ফিরে এসে উঠে দাঁড়াল- সে এক বিশাল সেনাদল!
11 তখন প্রভু আমার সদাপ্রভু আমায় বললেন, “হে মনুষ্যসন্তান, এই অস্থিগুলো সমস্ত ইস্রায়েল পরিবারের মত| ইস্রায়েলের লোকরা বলে, ‘আমাদের অস্থিগুলো শুকিয়ে গেছে| আমাদের আশা শেষ হয়েছে| আমরা সম্পূর্ণভাবে ধ্বংস হয়েছি!’
12 তাই, তাদের বল: প্রভু আমার সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, ‘আমার স্বপক্ষে একটি ভাব্বানী| তাদের বল, ‘ওহে আমার লোকরা, আমি তোমাদের কবরগুলো খুলে দেব এবং তোমাদের বের করে আনব! তারপর আমি তোমাদের ইস্রায়েলে ফিরিয়ে আনব|
13 হে আমার প্রজারা, আমি তোমাদের কবর খুলে বের করে আনলে তোমরা জানবে যে আমিই প্রভু|
14 আমি তোমাদের মধ্যে আমার আত্মা স্থাপন করব আর তোমরা আবার জীবন ফিরে পাবে| তখন আমি তোমাদের আবার নিজের দেশে ফিরিয়ে নিয়ে যাব আর তোমরা জানবে যে আমিই প্রভু| তোমরা জানবে যে আমি যা যা বলেছিলাম, তা-ই ঘটিযেছি|”‘ প্রভুই ঐসব কথা বলেছিলেন|
15 প্রভুর এই বাক্য আমার কাছে এল,
16 “হে মনুষ্যসন্তান, একটা লাঠি নিয়ে তার উপরে এই বার্তা লেখ: ‘এই লাঠি যিহূদা ও ইস্রায়েলীয়দের অধিকারভুক্ত|’ তারপর আরেকটা লাঠি নিয়ে তাতে লেখ: ‘ইফ্রযিমের এই লাঠি যোষেফ ও তার বন্ধু ইস্রায়েলীয়দের|’
17 তারপর ঐ দুই লাঠি পুড়বে; তোমার হাতে সে দুটো যেন একটা লাঠিতে পরিণত হয়|
18 “তোমার লোকরা এর ব্যাখ্যা জানতে চাইলে
19 তাদের বলো যে প্রভু আমার সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, ‘আমি যোষেফের লাঠিটি নেব যেটি ইফ্রযিম এবং তার বন্ধু ইস্রায়েলীয়দের হাতে আছে; তারপর সেই লাঠির সাথে আমি যিহূদার লাঠিটা জুড়ে দিয়ে একটা লাঠিতে পরিণত করব| আমার হাতে তারা একটা লাঠিতে পরিণত হবে!’
20 “যে লাঠি দুটিতে নামগুলো লিখেছিলে সেগুলো তুমি তোমার হাতে নাও এবং তাদের সামনে ধরো|
21 লোকদের বলো, প্রভু আমার সদাপ্রভু বলেন, ‘ইস্রায়েলের লোকে যে যে জাতির মধ্যে ছড়িয়ে গিয়েছে আমি তাদের সেখান থেকে আনব| আমি তাদের চারদিক থেকে জড়ো করে তাদের নিজেদের দেশে ফিরিয়ে আনব|
22 ইস্রায়েলের পর্বতময় দেশে আমি তাদের এক জাতিতে পরিণত করব| তাদের সবার এক রাজা হবে| তারা আর দুটি জাতি হয়ে থাকবে না আর দুই রাজ্যে বিভক্ত হয়ে থাকবে না|
23 তারা তাদের ভ্রান্ত দেবদেবী, ভয়ঙ্কর মূর্ত্তিগুলি ও অপরাধ দ্বারা নিজেদের অবমাননা করবে না| কিন্তু আমি তাদের সেই সমস্ত স্থান থেকে রক্ষা করব যেখানে তারা পাপ করত| আমি তাদের ধুয়ে শুচি শুদ্ধ করব| তারা আমার লোক হবে এবং আমি তাদের ঈশ্বর হব|
24 “‘আমার দাস দাযূদ তাদের রাজা হবে| তাদের সকলের একটি মাত্র মেষপালক আছে| তারা আমার নিয়ম মেনে চলবে ও বিধি পালন করবে এবং আমার কথা অনুসারে কাজ করবে|
25 আমি আমার দাস যাকোবকে যে দেশ দিয়েছিলাম সেই দেশে তারা বাস করবে| তোমাদের পূর্বপুরুষরা যে দেশে বাস করতেন, আমার লোকরা সেখানেই বাস করবে| সেখানে তারা, তাদের সন্তানরা ও তাদের পৌত্র-পৌত্রীরা এবং তাদের ভবিষ্যতের সমস্ত প্রজন্ম বাস করবে আর আমার দাস দাযূদ হবে তাদের চির কালের নেতা|
26 আর আমি তাদের সঙ্গে একটি শান্তির চুক্তি করব| সেই চুক্তি হবে চিরকালীন চুক্তি| আমি তাদের আশীর্বাদ করব আর তারা সংখ্যায় বৃদ্ধি পাবে এবং আমার পবিত্র স্থান চির কাল তাদের মধ্যে থাকবে|
27 আমার পবিত্র তাঁবু তাদের সাথেই থাকবে| হ্যাঁ, আমি তাদের ঈশ্বর হব আর তারা আমার লোক হবে|
28 অন্য জাতিরা জানবে যে আমিই প্রভু আর এও জানবে যে আমার পবিত্র-স্থান চির কালের জন্য ইস্রায়েলের মধ্যে রেখে আমি সেই জাতিকে আমার বিশেষ লোক করে তুলেছি|”‘

2 And caused me to pass H5674 by H5921 PREP them round about H5439 ADV : and , behold H2009 IJEC , there were very H3966 ADV many H7227 AFP in H5921 PREP the open H6440 CMP valley H1237 ; and , lo H2009 IJEC , they were very H3966 ADV dry H3002 .
3 And he said H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP-1MS me , Son H1121 of man H120 NMS , can these H428 D-DPRO-3MP bones H6106 live H2421 ? And I answered H559 W-VQY3MS , O Lord H136 EDS GOD H3069 , thou H859 PPRO-2MS knowest H3045 .
4 Again he said H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP-1MS me , Prophesy H5012 upon H5921 PREP these H428 D-DPRO-3MP bones H6106 , and say H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP-3MP them , O ye dry H3002 bones H6106 , hear H8085 VQI2MP the word H1697 CMS of the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS .
5 Thus H3541 saith H559 VQQ3MS the Lord H136 EDS GOD H3069 unto these H428 D-DPRO-3MP bones H6106 ; Behold H2009 IJEC , I H589 PPRO-1MS will cause breath H7307 NFS to enter H935 VHPMS into you , and ye shall live H2421 :
6 And I will lay H5414 sinews H1517 upon H5921 PREP-2MP you , and will bring up H5927 flesh H1320 NMS upon H5921 PREP-2MP you , and cover H7159 you with skin H5785 NMS , and put H5414 breath H7307 NFS in you , and ye shall live H2421 ; and ye shall know H3045 that H3588 CONJ I H589 PPRO-1MS am the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS .
7 So I prophesied H5012 as H834 K-RPRO I was commanded H6680 : and as I prophesied H5012 , there was H1961 W-VPY3MS a noise H6963 CMS , and behold H2009 IJEC a shaking H7494 , and the bones H6106 came together H7126 , bone H6106 GFS to H413 PREP his bone H6106 .
8 And when I beheld H7200 , lo H2009 , the sinews H1517 and the flesh H1320 W-NMS came up H5927 upon H5921 PREP-3MP them , and the skin H5785 NMS covered H7159 them above H4605 : but there was no H369 NPAR breath H7307 W-GFS in them .
9 Then said H559 W-VQY3MS he unto H413 PREP me , Prophesy H5012 unto H413 PREP the wind H7307 CFP , prophesy H5012 , son H1121 CMS of man H120 NMS , and say H559 W-VQY3MS to H413 PREP the wind H7307 CFP , Thus H3541 saith H559 W-VQY3MS the Lord H136 EDS GOD H3069 ; Come H935 from the four H702 winds H7307 CFP , O breath H7307 CFP , and breathe H5301 upon these H428 D-DPRO-3MP slain H2026 , that they may live H2421 .
10 So I prophesied H5012 as H834 K-RPRO he commanded H6680 me , and the breath H7307 came H935 W-VQY3FS into them , and they lived H2421 , and stood up H5975 upon H5921 PREP their feet H7272 CFD-3MP , an exceeding H3966 ADV great H1419 AMS army H2428 NMS .
11 Then he said H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP-1MS me , Son H1121 of man H120 NMS , these H428 D-DPRO-3MP bones H6106 are the whole H3605 NMS house H1004 CMS of Israel H3478 : behold H2009 IJEC , they say H559 W-VQY3MS , Our bones H6106 are dried H3001 , and our hope H8615 is lost H6 : we are cut off H1504 for our parts .
12 Therefore H3651 L-ADV prophesy H5012 and say H559 unto H413 PREP them , Thus H3541 saith H559 VQQ3MS the Lord H136 EDS GOD H3069 ; Behold H2009 IJEC , O my people H5971 , I H589 PPRO-1MS will open H6605 your graves H6913 , and cause you to come up H5927 out of your graves H6913 , and bring H935 you into H413 PREP the land H127 of Israel H3478 LMS .
13 And ye shall know H3045 that H3588 CONJ I H589 PPRO-1MS am the LORD H3068 EDS , when I have opened H6605 your graves H6913 , O my people H5971 , and brought you up H5927 out of your graves H6913 ,
14 And shall put H5414 my spirit H7307 CFS-1MS in you , and ye shall live H2421 , and I shall place H5117 you in H5921 PREP your own land H127 : then shall ye know H3045 that H3588 CONJ I H589 PPRO-1MS the LORD H3068 EDS have spoken H1696 VPQ1MS it , and performed H6213 it , saith H5002 the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS .
15 The word H1697 NMS of the LORD H3068 EDS came H1961 W-VQY3MS again unto H413 PREP-1MS me , saying H559 L-VQFC ,
16 Moreover , thou H859 W-PPRO-2MS son H1121 CMS of man H120 NMS , take H3947 VQI2MS thee one H259 MMS stick H6086 NMS , and write H3789 upon H5921 PREP-3MS it , For Judah H3063 , and for the children H1121 of Israel H3478 his companions H2270 : then take H3947 VQI2MS another H259 MMS stick H6086 NMS , and write H3789 upon H5921 PREP-3MS it , For Joseph H3130 , the stick H6086 NMS of Ephraim H669 , and for all H3605 W-CMS the house H1004 CMS of Israel H3478 his companions H2270 :
17 And join H7126 them one H259 MMS to H413 PREP another H259 MMS into one H259 MMS stick H6086 L-CMS ; and they shall become H1961 W-VQQ3MS one H259 in thine hand H3027 .
18 And when H834 the children H1121 of thy people H5971 shall speak H559 VQY3MP unto H413 PREP-2MS thee , saying H559 L-VQFC , Wilt thou not H3808 show H5046 us what H4100 IGAT thou meanest by these H428 PMP ?
19 Say H1696 VPFC unto H413 PREP-3MS them , Thus H3541 saith H559 VQQ3MS the Lord H136 EDS GOD H3069 ; Behold H2009 IJEC , I H589 PPRO-1MS will take H3947 the stick H6086 NMS of Joseph H3130 , which H834 RPRO is in the hand H3027 B-CFS of Ephraim H669 , and the tribes H7626 of Israel H3478 his fellows H2270 , and will put H5414 them with H5921 PREP-3MS him , even with H854 PREP the stick H6086 NMS of Judah H3063 , and make H6213 them one H259 MMS stick H6086 L-CMS , and they shall be H1961 W-VQQ3MS one H259 MMS in mine hand H3027 .
20 And the sticks H6086 whereon H834 RPRO thou writest H3789 shall be H1961 W-VQQ3MS in thine hand H3027 B-CFS-2MS before their eyes H5869 L-CMD-3MP .
21 And say H1696 unto H413 PREP them , Thus H3541 saith H559 VQQ3MS the Lord H136 EDS GOD H3069 ; Behold H2009 IJEC , I H589 PPRO-1MS will take H3947 the children H1121 of Israel H3478 from among H996 the heathen H1471 D-NMP , whither H834 RPRO they be gone H1980 , and will gather H6908 them on every side H5439 M-ADV , and bring H935 them into H413 PREP their own land H127 :
22 And I will make H6213 them one H259 MMS nation H1471 NMP in the land H776 B-NFS upon the mountains H2022 of Israel H3478 ; and one H259 MMS king H4428 shall be H1961 VQY3MS king H4428 L-CMS to them all H3605 : and they shall be H1961 no H3808 W-NPAR more H5750 two H8147 nations H1471 NMP , neither H3808 W-NPAR shall they be divided H2673 into two H8147 kingdoms H4467 any more at all H5750 ADV :
23 Neither H3808 W-NPAR shall they defile H2930 themselves any more H5750 ADV with their idols H1544 , nor with their detestable things H8251 , nor with any H3605 of their transgressions H6588 : but I will save H3467 them out of all H3605 M-CMS their dwelling places H4186 , wherein H834 RPRO they have sinned H2398 VQQ3MP , and will cleanse H2891 them : so shall they be H1961 W-VQQ3MS my people H5971 , and I H589 W-PPRO-1MS will be H1961 VQY1MS their God H430 L-NMP .
24 And David H1732 my servant H5650 shall be king H4428 NMS over H5921 PREP-3MP them ; and they all H3605 shall have H1961 VQY3MS one H259 MMS shepherd H7462 : they shall also walk H1980 in my judgments H4941 , and observe H8104 my statutes H2708 , and do H6213 W-VQQ3MP them .
25 And they shall dwell H3427 in H5921 PREP the land H776 D-GFS that H834 RPRO I have given H5414 VQQ1MS unto Jacob H3290 my servant H5650 L-CMS-1MS , wherein H834 RPRO your fathers H1 have dwelt H3427 ; and they shall dwell H3427 therein H5921 PREP , even they H1992 PPRO-3MP , and their children H1121 , and their children H1121 W-CMP \'s children H1121 CMP-3MP forever H5769 NMS : and my servant H5650 CMS-1MS David H1732 shall be their prince H5387 forever H5769 .
26 Moreover I will make H3772 a covenant H1285 NFS of peace H7965 NMS with them ; it shall be H1961 VQY3MS an everlasting H5769 NMS covenant H1285 NFS with H854 them : and I will place H5414 them , and multiply H7235 them , and will set H5414 my sanctuary H4720 in the midst H8432 of them forevermore H5769 .
27 My tabernacle H4908 also shall be H1961 W-VQQ3MS with H5921 PREP-3MP them : yea , I will be H1961 W-VQQ3MS their God H430 L-NMP , and they H1992 shall be H1961 W-VQQ3MS my people H5971 .
28 And the heathen H1471 D-NMP shall know H3045 that H3588 CONJ I H589 PPRO-1MS the LORD H3068 EDS do sanctify H6942 Israel H3478 , when my sanctuary H4720 shall be H1961 in the midst H8432 of them forevermore H5769 .
