24. యేసునేనును మిమ్ము నొక మాట అడుగుదును; అది మీరు నాతో చెప్పినయెడల, నేనును ఏ అధికారమువలన ఈ కార్యములు చేయుచున్నానో అది మీతో చెప్పు దును.

25. యోహాను ఇచ్చిన బాప్తిస్మము ఎక్కడనుండి కలిగినది? పరలోకమునుండి కలిగినదా, మనుష్యులనుండి కలిగినదా? అని వారినడిగెను. వారుమనము పరలోక మునుండి అని చెప్పి తిమా, ఆయనఆలాగైతే మీరెందుకు అతని నమ్మలేదని మనలనడుగును;

27. అందుకాయనఏ అధికారమువలన ఈ కార్యములు నేను చేయుచున్నానో అదియు మీతో చెప్పను.

41. అందుకు వారుఆ దుర్మార్గులను కఠిన ముగా సంహరించి, వాటివాటి కాలములయందు తనకు పండ్లను చెల్లించునట్టి ఇతరకాపులకు ఆ ద్రాక్షతోట గుత్త కిచ్చునని ఆయనతో చెప్పిరి.

43. కాబట్టి దేవుని రాజ్యము మీ యొద్దనుండి తొల గింపబడి, దాని ఫలమిచ్చు జనులకియ్యబడునని మీతో చెప్పుచున్నాను.
