2. اور اُس نے خپداوند کی نظر میں بدی کی تو بھی اسرائیل کے اُن بادشاہوں کی مانند نہیں جو اُس سے پہلے ہوئے ۔

3. اور شاہِ اسور سلمنسر نے اِس پر چڑھائی کی اور ہوسیع اُسکا خادم ہو گیا اور اُس کے لیے ہدیہ لایا ۔

4. اور شاہِ اسور نے ہو سیع کی ساز ش معلوم کر لی کیونکہ اُس نے شاہِ مصر سو کے پاس ایلچی بھیجے اور شاہِ اسور کو ہدیہ نہ دیا جیسا وہ سال بسال دیتا تھا ۔ سو شاہِ اسور نے اُسے بند کر دیا اور قید خانہ میں اُس کے بیڑیاں ڈال دیں ۔

5. اور شاہِ اسور نے ساری مملکت پر چڑھائی کی اور سامریہ کو جا کر تین برس اُسے گھیرے رہا ۔

6. اور ہوسیع کے نویں برس شاہِ اسور نے سامریہ کو لے لیا اور اسرائیل کو اسیر کر کے اسور میں لے گیا اور اُنکو خلح میں اور جوزان کی ندی خابور پر اور مادیوں کے شہروں میں بسایا ۔ (

7. اور یہ اس لیے ہوا کہ بنی اسرائیل نے خُداوند اپنے خدا کے خلاف جس نے اُنکو مُلک مصر سے نکال کر شاہِ مصر فرعون کے ہاتھ سے رہائی دی تھی گناہ کیا اور غیر معبودوں کا خوف مانا ۔

8. اور اُن قوموں کے آئین پر جنکو خُداوند نے بنی اسرائیل کے آگے سے خارج کیا اور اسرائیل کے بادشاہوں کے آئین پر جو اُنہوں نے خود بنائے تھے چلتے رہے ۔

9. اور بنی اسرائیل نے خداوند اپنے خُدا کے خلاف چھپکر وہ کام کیے جو بھلے نہ تھے اور اُنہوں نے اپنے سب شہروں میں نگہبانوں کے بُرج سے فصیلدار شہر تک اپنے لیے اونچے مقام بنائے ۔

10. اور ہر ایک اونچے پہاڑ پر اور ہر ایک ہرے درخت کے نیچے اُنہوں نے اپنے لیے ستونوں اور یسیرتوں کو نصب کیا ۔

10. And they set them up H5324 images H4676 and groves H842 in H5921 every H3605 high H1364 hill H1389 , and under H8478 every H3605 green H7488 tree H6086 :

11. اور وہیں اُن سب اونچے مقاموں پر اُن قوموں کی مانند جنکو خُداوند نے اُن کے سامنے سے دفع کیا بخور جلایا اور خُداوند کو غصہ دلانے کے لیے شرارتیں کیں ۔

12. اور بُتوں کی پرستش کی جسکے بارے میں خُداوند نے اُن سے کہا تھا کہ تُم یہ کام نہ کرنا ۔

12. For they served H5647 idols H1544 , whereof H834 the LORD H3068 had said H559 unto them , Ye shall not H3808 do H6213 H853 this H2088 thing H1697 .

13. تو بھی خُداوند سب نبیوں اور غیب بینوں کی معرفت اسرائیل اور یہوداہ کو آگاہ کرتا رہا کہ تُم اپنی بُری راہوں سے باز آو اور اُس ساری شریعت کے مطابق جسکا حکم میں نے تمہارے باپ دادا کو دیا اور جسے میں نے اپنے بندوں نبیوں کی معرفت تمہارے پاس بھیجا ہے میرے احکام و آئین کو مانو ۔

14. باوجود اِس کے اُنہوں نے نہ سُنا بلکہ اپنے باپ دادا کی طرح جو خُداوند اپنے خُدا پر ایمان نہیں لائے تھے گردن کشی کی ۔
|
14. Notwithstanding they would not H3808 hear H8085 , but hardened H7185 H853 their necks H6203 , like to the neck H6203 of their fathers H1 , that H834 did not H3808 believe H539 in the LORD H3068 their God H430 .

15. اور اُس کے آئین کو اور اُس کے عہد کو جو اُس نے اُن کے باپ دادا سے باندھا تھا اور اُسکی شہادتوں کو جو اُس نے اُنکو دی تھیں رد کیا اور باطل باتوں کے پیرو ہو کر نکمے ہوگئے اور اپنے آس پاس کی قوموں کی تقلید کی جنکے بارے میں خُداوند نے اُنکو تاکید کی تھی کہ وہ اُنکے سے کام نہ کریں ۔

15. 16. اور اُنہوں نے خُداوند اپنے خُدا کے سب احکام ترک کر کے اپنے لیے ڈھالی ہوئی مورتیں یعنی دو بچھڑے بنا لیے اور یسیرت تیار کی اور آسمانی فوج کی پرستش کی اور بعل کو پوجا ۔

17. اور اُنہوں نے اپنے بیٹوں اور بیٹیوں کو آگ میں چلوایا اور فال گیری اور جادوگری سے کام لیا اور اپنے بیچ ڈالاا تاکہ خداوند کی نظر میں بدی کر کے اُسے غصہ دلائیں ۔

17. And they caused H853 their sons H1121 and their daughters H1323 to pass through H5674 the fire H784 , and used H7080 divination H7081 and enchantments H5172 , and sold themselves H4376 to do H6213 evil H7451 in the sight H5869 of the LORD H3068 , to provoke him to anger H3707 .

18. اِس لیے خُداوند اسرائیل سے بہت ناراض ہوا اور اپنی نظر سے اُنکو دور کر دیا ۔ سو یہوداہ کے قبیلہ کے سِوا اور کوئی نہ چھوُٹا ۔
|
18. Therefore the LORD H3068 was very angry H599 H3966 with Israel H3478 , and removed H5493 them out of H4480 H5921 his sight H6440 : there was none H3808 left H7604 but H7535 the tribe H7626 of Judah H3063 only H905 .

19. اور یہوداہ نے بھی خُداوند اپنے خُدا کے احکام نہ مانے بلکہ اُن آئین پر چلے جنکو اسرائیل نے بنایا تھا ۔
|
19. Also H1571 Judah H3063 kept H8104 not H3808 H853 the commandments H4687 of the LORD H3068 their God H430 , but walked H1980 in the statutes H2708 of Israel H3478 which H834 they made H6213 .

20. تب خُداوند نے اسرائیل کی ساری نسل کو رد کیا اور اُنکو دُکھ دیا اور اُنکو لُٹیروں کے ہاتھ میں کر کے آخر کار اُنکو اپنی نظر سے دور کر دیا ۔
|
20. And the LORD H3068 rejected H3988 all H3605 the seed H2233 of Israel H3478 , and afflicted H6031 them , and delivered H5414 them into the hand H3027 of spoilers H8154 , until H5704 H834 he had cast them out H7993 of his sight H4480 H6440 .

21. کیونکہ اُس نے اسرائیل کو داود کے گھرانے سے جُدا کیا اور اُنہوں نے نباط کے بیٹے یُربعام کو بادشاہ بنایا اور یُربعام نے اسرائیل کو خُداوند کی پیروی سے دور ہنکایا اور اُن سے بڑا گناہ کرایا ۔

21. 22. اور بنی اسرائیل اُن سب گناہوں کی جو یُربعام نے کیے تقلید کرتے رہے ۔ وہ اُن سے باز نہ آئے ۔

22. For the children H1121 of Israel H3478 walked H1980 in all H3605 the sins H2403 of Jeroboam H3379 which H834 he did H6213 ; they departed H5493 not H3808 from H4480 them;
|
|
23. یہاں تک کہ خُداوند نے اِسرائیل کو اپنی نظر سے دور کر دیا جیسا اُس نے اپنے سب بندوں کی معرفت جو نبی تھے فرمایا تھا ۔ سو اسرائیل اپنے مُلک سے اسور کو پہنچایا گیا جہاں وہ آج تک ہے ۔

23. Until H5704 H834 the LORD H3068 removed H5493 H853 Israel H3478 out of H4480 H5921 his sight H6440 , as H834 he had said H1696 by H3027 all H3605 his servants H5650 the prophets H5030 . So was Israel H3478 carried away H1540 out of H4480 H5921 their own land H127 to Assyria H804 unto H5704 this H2088 day H3117 .

24. اور شاہِ اسور نے بابل اور کُوتہ اور عوا اور حمات اور سفر دائم کے لوگوں کو لا کر بنی اسرائیل کی جگہ سامریہ کے شہروں میں بسایا ۔ سو و سامریہ کے مالک ہوئے اور اُسکے شہروں میں بس گئے ۔

24. And the king H4428 of Assyria H804 brought H935 men from Babylon H4480 H894 , and from Cuthah H4480 H3575 , and from Ava H4480 H5755 , and from Hamath H4480 H2574 , and from Sepharvaim H5617 , and placed H3427 them in the cities H5892 of Samaria H8111 instead H8478 of the children H1121 of Israel H3478 : and they possessed H3423 H853 Samaria H8111 , and dwelt H3427 in the cities H5892 thereof.

25. اور اپنے بس جانے کے شروع میں اُنہوں نے خُداوند کا خوف نہ مانا ۔ اِس لیے خُداوند نے اُنکے درمیان شیروں کو بھیجا جنہوں نے اُن میں سے بعض کو مار ڈالا ۔
|
25. And so it was H1961 at the beginning H8462 of their dwelling H3427 there H8033 , that they feared H3372 not H3808 H853 the LORD H3068 : therefore the LORD H3068 sent H7971 H853 lions H738 among them , which slew H2026 some of them.

26. پس اُنہوں نے شاہِ اسور سے یہ کہا کہ جن قوموں کو تُو نے لے جا کر سامریہ کے شہروں میں بسایا ہے وہ اُس مُلک کے خُدا کے طریقہ سے واقف نہیں ہیں ، چنانچہ اُس نے اُن میں شیر بھیج دیے ہیں اور دیکھ وہ اُنکو پھاڑتے ہیں اِس لیے کہ وہ اُس مُلک کے خُدا کے طریقہ سے واقف نہیں ہیں ۔

26. Wherefore they spoke H559 to the king H4428 of Assyria H804 , saying H559 , The nations H1471 which H834 thou hast removed H1540 , and placed H3427 in the cities H5892 of Samaria H8111 , know H3045 not H3808 H853 the manner H4941 of the God H430 of the land H776 : therefore he hath sent H7971 H853 lions H738 among them, and, behold H2009 , they slay H4191 them, because H834 they know H3045 not H369 H853 the manner H4941 of the God H430 of the land H776 .

27. تب اسور کے بادشاہ نے یہ حکم دیا کہ جن کاہنوں کو تُم وہاں سے لے آئے ہو اُن میں سے ایک کو وہاں لے جاو اور وہ جا کر وہیں رہے اور یہ کاہن اُنکو اُس مُلک کے خُدا کا طریقہ سکھائے۔

27. Then the king H4428 of Assyria H804 commanded H6680 , saying H559 , Carry H1980 thither H8033 one H259 of the priests H4480 H3548 whom H834 ye brought H1540 from thence H4480 H8033 ; and let them go H1980 and dwell H3427 there H8033 , and let him teach H3384 them H853 the manner H4941 of the God H430 of the land H776 .

28. سو اُن کاہنوں میں سے جنکو وہ سامریہ سے لے گئے تھے ایک کاہن آکر بیت ایل میں رہنے لگا اور اُنکو سکھایا کہ اُنکو خُداوند کا خوف کیونکر ماننا چاہیے ۔
|
28. Then one H259 of the priests H4480 H3548 whom H834 they had carried away H1540 from Samaria H4480 H8111 came H935 and dwelt H3427 in Bethel H1008 , and taught H3384 them how H349 they should fear H3372 H853 the LORD H3068 .

29. تِس پر بھی ہر قوم نے اپنے شہر میں جہاں اُس کی سکونت تھی ایسا ہی کیا ۔
|
29. Howbeit every nation H1471 H1471 made H6213 gods H430 of their own , and put H5117 them in the houses H1004 of the high places H1116 which H834 the Samaritans H8118 had made H6213 , every nation H1471 H1471 in their cities H5892 wherein H834 H8033 they H1992 dwelt H3427 .

30. سو بابلیوں نے سُکات بنات کو اور کُوتیوںں نے نیر گل ُ کو اور حماتیوں نے سیما کو ۔
|
30. And the men H376 of Babylon H894 made H6213 H853 Succothbenoth H5524 , and the men H376 of Cuth H3575 made H6213 H853 Nergal H5370 , and the men H376 of Hamath H2574 made H6213 H853 Ashima H807 ,

31. اور عوائیوں نے نبحاز اور ترتاق کو بنایا اور سفر دیوں نے اپنے بیٹوں کو اورتلک اور عتملک کے لیے جو سفر دائم کے دیوتا تھے آگ میں جلایا ۔
|
31. And the Avites H5761 made H6213 Nibhaz H5026 and Tartak H8662 , and the Sepharvites H5617 burnt H8313 H853 their children H1121 in fire H784 to Adrammelech H152 and Anammelech H6048 , the gods H430 of Sepharvaim H5617 .

32. یوں وہ خُداوند سے بھی ڈرتے تھے اور اپنے لیے اونچے مقاموں کے مندروں میں اُن کے لیے قُربانی گذرانتے تھے ۔
|
32. So they feared H1961 H3372 H853 the LORD H3068 , and made H6213 unto themselves of the lowest H4480 H7098 of them priests H3548 of the high places H1116 , which sacrificed H6213 for them in the houses H1004 of the high places H1116 .

33. سو وہ خُداوند سے بھی ڈرتے تھے اور اپنی قوموں کے دستور کے مطابق جن میں سے وہ نکال لئے گئے تھے اپنے اپنے دیوتا کی پرستش بھی کرتے تھے ۔
|
33. They feared H1961 H3372 H853 the LORD H3068 , and served H1961 H5647 their own gods H430 , after the manner H4941 of the nations H1471 whom H834 H853 they carried away H1540 from thence H4480 H8033 .

|
34. آج کے دن تک وہ پہلے دستور پر چلتے ہیں ۔ وہ خُداوند سے ڈرت نہیں اور نہ تو اپنے آئین و قوانین پر اور نہ اُس شرع اور فرمان پر چلتے ہیں جسکا حکم خُداوندن نے یعقوب کی نسل کو دیا تھا جسکا نام اُس نے ارائیل رکھا تھا ۔

34. Unto H5704 this H2088 day H3117 they H1992 do H6213 after the former H7223 manners H4941 : they fear H3372 not H369 H853 the LORD H3068 , neither H369 do H6213 they after their statutes H2708 , or after their ordinances H4941 , or after the law H8451 and commandment H4687 which H834 the LORD H3068 commanded H6680 H853 the children H1121 of Jacob H3290 , whom H834 he named H7760 H8034 Israel H3478 ;

35. اُن ہی سے خُداوند نے عہد باندھ کر اُنکو یہ تاکید کی تھی کہ تُم غیر معبودوں سے نہ ڈرنا اور نہ اُنکو سجدہ کرنا نہ پوجنا اور نہ اُنکے لیے قُربانی کرنا۔

35. With H854 whom the LORD H3068 had made H3772 a covenant H1285 , and charged H6680 them, saying H559 , Ye shall not H3808 fear H3372 other H312 gods H430 , nor H3808 bow yourselves H7812 to them, nor H3808 serve H5647 them, nor H3808 sacrifice H2076 to them:

36. بلکہ خُداوند جو بڑی قوت اور بُلند بازو سے تُم کو مُلکِ مصر سے نکال لایا تُم اُسی سے ڈرنا اور اُسی کو سجدہ کرنا اور اُسی کے لیے قُربانی گذراننا ۔
|
36. But H3588 H518 H853 the LORD H3068 , who H834 brought you up H5927 H853 out of the land H4480 H776 of Egypt H4714 with great H1419 power H3581 and a stretched out H5186 arm H2220 , him shall ye fear H3372 , and him shall ye worship H7812 , and to him shall ye do sacrifice H2076 .

37. اور جو جو آئین اور رسم اور جو شریعت اور حکم اُس نے تمہارے لیے قلمبند کئے اُنکو سدا ماننے کے لیے احتیاط رکھنا اور تُم غیر معبودوں سے نہ ڈرنا ۔
|
37. And the statutes H2706 , and the ordinances H4941 , and the law H8451 , and the commandment H4687 , which H834 he wrote H3789 for you , ye shall observe H8104 to do H6213 forevermore H3605 H3117 ; and ye shall not H3808 fear H3372 other H312 gods H430 .

38. اور اُس عہد کو جو میں نے تُم سے کیا ہے تُم بھوُل نہ جانا اور نہ تُم غیر معبودوں کا خوف ماننا۔
|
38. And the covenant H1285 that H834 I have made H3772 with H854 you ye shall not H3808 forget H7911 ; neither H3808 shall ye fear H3372 other H312 gods H430 .

|
39. بلکہ تُم خُداوند اپنے خُدا کا خوف ماننا اور وہ تُم کو تمہارے سب دُشمنوں کے ہاتھ سے چھڑائے گا ۔
|
39. But H3588 H518 H853 the LORD H3068 your God H430 ye shall fear H3372 ; and he H1931 shall deliver H5337 you out of the hand H4480 H3027 of all H3605 your enemies H341 .

|
40. لیکن اُنہوں نے نہ مانا بلکہ اپنے پہلے دستور کے مطابق کرتے رہے ۔
|
40. Howbeit they did not H3808 hearken H8085 , but H3588 H518 they H1992 did H6213 after their former H7223 manner H4941 .
|
|
41. سو یہ قومیں خُداوند سے بھی ڈرتی رہیں اور اپنی کھودی ہوئی مُورتوں کو بھی پوجتی رہیں ۔ اِسی طرح اُنکی اولاد اور اُنکی اولاد کی نسل بھی جیسا اُنکے باپ دادا کرتے تھے ویسا وہ بھی آج کے دن تک کرتی ہیں ۔

41. So these H428 nations H1471 feared H1961 H3372 H853 the LORD H3068 , and served H5647 their graven images H6456 , both H1571 their children H1121 , and their children H1121 's children H1121 : as H834 did H6213 their fathers H1 , so do H6213 they H1992 unto H5704 this H2088 day H3117 .
