1 اور یوسیاہ نے یروشلیم میں خُداوند کے لیئے عید فسح کی اور اُنہوں نے فسح کو پہلے مہینے کی چودھویں تاریخ کو ذبح کیا۔

2 اور اُس نے کاہنوں کو اُن کی خدمت پر مُقرر کیا اور اُن کو خُداوند کے گھر کی خدمت کی ترغیب دی۔

3 اور اُن لاویوں سے جو خُداوند کے لیئے مُقدس ہو کر تمام اسرائیل کو تعلیم دیتے تھے کہا کہ پاک صندوق کو اُس گھر میں جسے شاہ اسرائیل سلیمان بن د اؤد نے بنایا تھا رکھو۔آگے کو تمہارے کندھوں پر کوئی بوجھ نہ ہوگا۔سو اب تُم خُداوند اپنے خُدا کی اور اُس کی قوم اسرائیل کی خدمت کرؤ۔

4 اور اپنے آبائی خاندانوں اور فریقوں کے مُطابق جیسا شاہِ اسرائیل داؤد نے لکھا اور جیسا اُس کے بیٹے سلیمان نے لکھا ہے اپنے آپ کو تیار کر لو۔

5 اور تُم مقدس میں اپنے بھائیوں یعنی قوم کے فرزندوں کے آبائی خاندانوں کی تقسیم کے مُطاق کھڑے ہو تاکہ اُن میں سے ہر ایک کے لیئے لاویوں کے کسی نہ کسی آبائی خاندان کی کوئی شاخ ہو۔

6 اور فسح کو ذبح کرو اور خُداون کے کلام کے مُطابق جو موسیٰ کی معرفت ملا عمل کرنے کے لیئے اپنے آپ کو پاک کرے اپنے بھائیوں کے لیئے تیار ہو۔

7 اور یوسیاہ نے لوگوں کے لیئے جتنے وہاں موجود تھے ریوڑوں میں سے برے اور حلوان سن کے سب فسح کی قربانیوں کے لیئے دئے جو گنتی میں تیس ہزار تھے اور تین ہزار بچھڑے تھے ۔یہ سب بادشاہی مال مین سے دئے گئے۔

8 اور اُس کے سرداروں نے رضا کی قربانی کے طور پر لوگوں کو اور کاہنوں کو اور لاویوں کو دیا۔ خلقیاہ اور زکریا ہ یحیٹیل نے جو خُدا کے گھر کے ناظم تھے کاہنوں کو فسح کی قربانی کے لیئے دو ہزار چھ سو بھیڑ بکری اور تیس سو بیل دئے۔

9 اور کنعنیاہ نے اور اُس کے بھائیوں سمعیاہ اور نتنیئیل نے اور یعی ایل اور یوزبد نے جو لاویوں کے سردار تھے لویوں کو فسح کی قربانی کے لیئے پانچ ہزار بھیڑ بکری اور پانچ سو بیل دئے ۔

10 یوں عبادت کی تیاری ہوئی اور بادشاہ کے حُکم کے مُطابق کاہن اپنی اپنی جگہ پر اور لاوی اپنے اپنے فریقے کے مُطابق کھڑے ہوئے۔

11 انہوں نے فسح کو ذبح کیا اور کاہنوں نے اُن کے ہاتھ سے خون لے کر چھڑکا اور لاوی کھال کھینچتے گئے۔

12 پھر اُنہوں نے سوختنی قربانیاں الگ کیں تاکہ وہ لوگوں کے آبائی خاندانوں کی تقسیم کے مُطابق خُداوند کے حضور چڑھانے کو اُن کو دیں جیسا موسیٰ کی کتاب میں لکھا ہے اور بیلوں سے بھی اُنہوں نے ایسا ہی کیا۔

13 اور اُنہوں نے دستور کے مُوافق فسح کو آگ پر بھونا اور پاک ہڈیوں کو دیگوں اور ہنڈوں اور کڑاہیوں میں پکایا اور اُن کو جلد لوگوں کو پُہنچادیا۔

14 اُس نے بعد اُنہوں نے اپنے لیئے اور کاہنوں کے لیئے تیار کیا کیونکہ کاہن یعنی بنی ہارون سوختنی قربانیوں اور چربی کے چڑھانے میں رات تک مشغول رہے۔ سو لاویوں نے اپنے لیئے اور کاہنوں کے لیئے جو بنی ہارون تھے تیار کیا۔

15 اور گانے والے جو بنی آسف تھے داؤد اور آسف اور ہیمان اور بادشاہ کے غیب بین یدُوتون کے حُکم کے مُوافق اپنی اپنی جگہ میں تھے اور ہر دروازہ پر دربان تھے ۔اُن کو اپنا اپنا کام چھوڑنا نہ پڑا کیونکہ اُن کے بھائی لاویوں نے اُن کے لیئے تیار کیا ۔

16 سو اُسی دن یوسیاہ بادشاہ کے حُکم کے مُوافق فسح ماننے اور خُداوند کے مذبح پر سوختنی قربانیاں چڑھانے کے لیئے خُداوند کی پُوری عبادت کی تیاری کی گئی۔

17 بنی اسرائیل نے جو حاضر تھے فسح کو اُس وقت اور فطیری روٹی کی عید کو سات دن تک منایا۔

18 اُس کی مانند کوئی فسح سموئیل نبی کے دنوں سے اسرائیل میں نہیں منایا گیا تھا اور نہ شاہان اسرائیل میں سے کسی نے ایسی عید فسح کی جیسی یوسیاہ اور کاہنوں اور لاویوں اور سارے یہوداہ اور اسرائیل نے جو حاضر تھے اور یروشلیم کے باشندوں نے کی۔

19 فسح یوسیاہ کے سلطنت کے اٹھارھویں میں منایا گیا ۔

20 اس سب کے بعد جب یوسیاہ ہیکل کو تیار کر چُکا تو شاہِ مصر نکوہ نے کر کمیس سے جو فرات کے کنارے ہے لڑنے کے لیئے چڑھائی کی اور یوسیاہ اُس کے مقابلہ کو نکلا۔

21 لیکن اُس نے اُس کے پاس ایلچیوں سے کہلا بھیجا کہ اَے یہوداہ کے بادشاہ تُجھ سے میرا کیا کام؟ میں آج دب تُجھ پر نہیں بلکہ اُس خاندان پر چڑھائی کر رہا ہوں جس سے میری جنگ ہے اور خُدا نے مُجھ کو جلدی کرنے کا حُکم دیا ہے سو تُو خُدا سے جو میرے ساتھ ہے مزاحم نہ ہوا ۔ایسا نہ ہو کہ وہ تُجھے ہلاک کر دے۔

22 لیکن یوسیاہ نے اُس نے منہ نہ موڑا بلکہ اُس سے لڑنے کے لیئے اپنا بھیس بدلا ر نکوہ کی بات جو خُدا کے مُنہ سے نکلی تھی نہ مانی اور مجدو کی وادی میں لڑنے کو گیا ۔

23 اور تیر اندازوں نے یوسیاہ بادشاہ کو تیر مارا اور بادشاہ نے اپنے نوکروں سے کہا کہ مُجھے لے چلو کیونکہ میں بُہت زخمی ہوگیا ہوں۔

24 سو اُس کے نوکروں نے اُسے اُس رتھ پر سے اُتار کر اُس کے دوسرے رتھ پر چڑھایا اور اُسے یرشلیم کو لے گئے اور وہ مرگیا اور اپنے باپ دادا کی قبروں میں دفن ہوا اور سارے یہوداہ اور یروشلیم نے یوسیاہ کے لیئے ماتم کیا۔

25 اور یرمیاہ نے یوسیاہ پر نوحہ کیا اور گانے والے اور گانے والیاں سب اپنے مرثیوں میں آج کے دن تک یوسیاہ کا ذخر کرتے ہیں۔ یہ اُنہوں نے اسرائیل میں ایک دستور بنا دیااور دیکھو وہ باتیں نوحوں میں لکھی ہیں ۔

26 اور یوسیا ہ کے باقی کام اور جیساُ داوند کی شریعت میں لکھا ہے اُس کے مُطابق اُسے نیک اعمال۔

27 اور اُس کے کام شروع سے آخر تک اسرائیل اور یہوداہ کے بادشاہوں کی کتاب میں قلمبند ہیں۔

1 Moreover Josiah ^H2977 kept ^H6213 ^W-VQY3MS a passover ^H6453 unto the LORD ^H3068 ^L-EDS in Jerusalem ^H3389 : and they killed ^H7819 the passover ^H6453 on the fourteenth ^H702 day of the first ^H7223 month ^H2320 ^LD-NMS .

2 And he set ^H5975 ^W-VHY3MS the priests ^H3548 in ^H5921 ^PREP their charges ^H4931 , and encouraged ^H2388 them to the service ^H5656 of the house ^H1004 ^CMS of the LORD ^H3068 ^NAME-4MS ,

3 And said ^H559 ^W-VQY3MS unto the Levites ^H3881 that taught ^H4000 all ^H3605 ^L-CMS Israel ^H3478 , which were holy ^H6918 unto the LORD ^H3068 ^L-EDS , Put ^H5414 the holy ^H6944 ark ^H727 in the house ^H1004 which ^H834 ^RPRO Solomon ^H8010 ^MMS the son ^H1121 ^CMS of David ^H1732 king ^H4428 ^NMS of Israel ^H3478 did build ^H1129 ^VQQ3MS ; it shall not ^H369 ^NPAR be a burden ^H4853 upon your shoulders ^H3802 : serve ^H5647 now ^H6258 ^ADV the LORD ^H3068 ^EDS your God ^H430 , and his people ^H5971 Israel ^H3478 ^LMS ,

4 And prepare ^H3559 yourselves by the houses ^H1004 of your fathers ^H1 , after your courses ^H4256 , according to the writing ^H3791 of David ^H1732 king ^H4428 ^NMS of Israel ^H3478 , and according to the writing ^H4385 of Solomon ^H8010 ^MMS his son ^H1121 .

5 And stand ^H5975 in the holy ^H6944 place according to the divisions ^H6391 of the families ^H1004 ^CMS of the fathers ^H1 of your brethren ^H251 the people ^H1121 , and after the division ^H2515 of the families ^H1004 of the Levites ^H3881 .

6 So kill ^H7819 the passover ^H6453 , and sanctify yourselves ^H6942 , and prepare ^H3559 your brethren ^H251 , that they may do ^H6213 ^L-VQFC according to the word ^H1697 ^K-NMS of the LORD ^H3068 ^EDS by the hand ^H3027 ^B-CFS of Moses ^H4872 .

7 And Josiah ^H2977 gave ^H7311 to the people ^H1121 ^L-CMP , of the flock ^H6629 ^NMS , lambs ^H3532 and kids ^H1121 , all ^H3605 for the passover offerings ^H6453 , for all ^H3605 ^L-CMS that were present ^H4672 , to the number ^H4557 of thirty ^H7970 ^MMP thousand ^H505 ^W-BMS , and three ^H7969 ^BMS thousand ^H505 ^MMP bullocks ^H1241 ^W-NMS : these ^H428 ^PMP were of the king ^H4428 \'s substance ^H7399 .

8 And his princes ^H8269 gave ^H7311 willingly ^H5071 unto the people ^H5971 , to the priests ^H3548 , and to the Levites ^H3881 : Hilkiah ^H2518 and Zechariah ^H2148 and Jehiel ^H3171 , rulers ^H5057 of the house ^H1004 ^CMS of God ^H430 ^D-EDP , gave ^H5414 unto the priests ^H3548 for the passover offerings ^H6453 two thousand ^H505 and six ^H8337 ^W-RFS hundred ^H3967 ^BFP small cattle , and three ^H7969 ^BFS hundred ^H3967 oxen ^H1241 ^W-NMS .

9 Conaniah ^H3562 also , and Shemaiah ^H8098 and Nethaneel ^H5417 , his brethren ^H251 ^NMP-3MS , and Hashabiah ^H2811 and Jeiel ^H3273 and Jozabad ^H3107 , chief ^H8269 ^CMP of the Levites ^H3881 , gave ^H7311 unto the Levites ^H3881 for passover offerings ^H6453 five ^H2568 thousand ^H505 ^MMP small cattle , and five ^H2568 ^BFS hundred ^H3967 oxen ^H1241 ^W-NMS .

10 So the service ^H5656 was prepared ^H3559 , and the priests ^H3548 stood ^H5975 in ^H5921 ^PREP their place ^H5977 , and the Levites ^H3881 in ^H5921 ^PREP their courses ^H4256 , according to the king ^H4428 \'s commandment ^H4687 .

11 And they killed ^H7819 the passover ^H6453 , and the priests ^H3548 sprinkled ^H2236 ^W-VQY3MP the blood from their hands ^H3027 , and the Levites ^H3881 flayed ^H6584 them .

12 And they removed ^H5493 the burnt offerings ^H5930 , that they might give ^H5414 according to the divisions ^H4653 of the families ^H1004 of the people ^H1121 ^L-CMP , to offer ^H7126 unto the LORD ^H3068 ^L-EDS , as it is written ^H3789 in the book ^H5612 of Moses ^H4872 . And so ^H3651 did they with the oxen ^H1241 .

13 And they roasted ^H1310 the passover ^H6453 with fire ^H784 according to the ordinance ^H4941 : but the other holy ^H6944 offerings sod ^H1310 they in pots ^H5518 , and in caldrons ^H1731 , and in pans ^H6745 , and divided them speedily ^H7323 among all ^H3605 ^L-CMS the people ^H1121 .

14 And afterward ^H310 ^W-ADV they made ready ^H3559 for themselves , and for the priests ^H3548 : because ^H3588 ^CONJ the priests ^H3548 the sons ^H1121 of Aaron ^H175 were busied in offering ^H5927 of burnt offerings ^H5930 and the fat ^H2459 until ^H5704 ^PREP night ^H3915 ^NFS ; therefore the Levites ^H3881 prepared ^H3559 for themselves , and for the priests ^H3548 the sons ^H1121 of Aaron ^H175 .

15 And the singers ^H7891 the sons ^H1121 of Asaph ^H623 were in ^H5921 ^PREP their place ^H4612 , according to the commandment ^H4687 of David ^H1732 , and Asaph ^H623 , and Heman ^H1968 , and Jeduthun ^H3038 the king ^H4428 ^D-NMS \'s seer ^H2374 ; and the porters ^H7778 waited at every gate ^H8179 ; they might not ^H369 ^NPAR depart ^H5493 from ^PREP their service ^H5656 ; for ^H3588 ^CONJ their brethren ^H251 the Levites ^H3881 prepared ^H3559 for them .

16 So all ^H3605 ^NMS the service ^H5656 of the LORD ^H3068 ^EDS was prepared ^H3559 the same ^H1931 ^D-PPRO-3MS day ^H3117 ^B-AMS , to keep ^H6213 ^L-VQFC the passover ^H6453 , and to offer ^H5927 burnt offerings ^H5930 ^CFP upon ^H5921 ^PREP the altar ^H4196 of the LORD ^H3068 ^EDS , according to the commandment ^H4687 of king ^H4428 ^D-NMS Josiah ^H2977 .

17 And the children ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 that were present ^H4672 kept ^H6213 ^W-VQY3MP the passover ^H6453 at that ^H1931 time ^H6256 , and the feast ^H2282 of unleavened bread ^H4682 seven ^H7651 ^RMS days ^H3117 ^NMP .

18 And there was no ^H3808 ^UNKN passover ^H6453 like to ^H3644 ^PART-3MS that kept ^H6213 in Israel ^H3478 from the days ^H3117 of Samuel ^H8050 the prophet ^H5030 ; neither ^H3808 ^UNKN did ^H6213 ^VQQ3MP all ^H3605 ^W-CMS the kings ^H4428 ^CMP of Israel ^H3478 keep ^H6213 ^VQQ3MS such a passover ^H6453 as ^H834 ^RPRO Josiah ^H2977 kept ^H6213 , and the priests ^H3548 , and the Levites ^H3881 , and all ^H3605 ^W-CMS Judah ^H3063 and Israel ^H3478 that were present ^H4672 , and the inhabitants ^H3427 of Jerusalem ^H3389 .

19 In the eighteenth ^H8083 year ^H8141 ^NFS of the reign ^H4438 of Josiah ^H2977 was this ^H2088 ^D-PMS passover ^H6453 kept ^H6213 .

20 After ^H310 ^PREP all ^H3605 ^CMS this ^H2063 ^DPRO , when ^H834 ^RPRO Josiah ^H2977 had prepared ^H3559 the temple ^H1004 ^D-NMS , Necho ^H5224 king ^H4428 ^NMS of Egypt ^H4714 ^EFS came up ^H5927 to fight ^H3898 against Carchemish ^H3751 by ^H5921 ^PREP Euphrates ^H6578 : and Josiah ^H2977 went out ^H3318 ^W-VQY3MS against ^H7125 ^L-VQFC-3MS him .

21 But he sent ^H7971 ^W-VQY3MS ambassadors ^H4397 to ^H413 ^PREP-3MS him , saying ^H559 ^L-VQFC , What ^H4100 ^IPRO have I to do with thee , thou king ^H4428 ^NMS of Judah ^H3063 ? I come not ^H3808 ^NADV against ^H5921 ^PREP-2MS thee ^H859 ^PPRO-2MS this day ^H3117 ^D-AMS , but ^H3588 ^CONJ against ^H413 ^PREP the house ^H1004 ^CMS wherewith I have war ^H4421 : for God ^H430 commanded ^H559 ^VQQ3MS me to make haste ^H926 : forbear ^H2308 ^VQI2MS thee from meddling with God ^H430 ^M-NMP , who ^H834 ^RPRO is with ^H5973 me , that he destroy ^H7843 thee not ^H408 ^W-NPAR .

22 Nevertheless Josiah ^H2977 would not ^H3808 ^W-NPAR turn ^H5437 his face ^H6440 ^CMS-3MS from ^H4480 ^M-PREP-3MS him , but ^H3588 ^CONJ disguised himself ^H2664 , that he might fight ^H3898 with him , and hearkened ^H8085 not ^H3808 ^W-NPAR unto ^H413 ^PREP the words ^H1697 ^CMP of Necho ^H5224 from the mouth ^H6310 ^M-CMS of God ^H430 ^EDP , and came ^H935 ^W-VQY3MS to fight ^H3898 in the valley ^H1237 of Megiddo ^H4023 .

23 And the archers ^H3384 shot ^H3384 at king ^H4428 Josiah ^H2977 ; and the king ^H4428 ^D-NMS said ^H559 ^W-VQY3MS to his servants ^H5650 , Have me away ^H5674 ; for ^H3588 ^CONJ I am sore wounded ^H2470 .

24 His servants ^H5650 therefore took ^H5674 him out of ^H4480 ^PREP that chariot ^H4818 , and put ^H7392 him in ^H5921 ^PREP the second ^H4932 chariot ^H7393 that ^H834 ^RPRO he had ; and they brought ^H1980 him to Jerusalem ^H3389 , and he died ^H4191 ^W-VQY3MS , and was buried ^H6912 in one of the sepulchers ^H6913 of his fathers ^H1 . And all ^H3605 ^W-CMS Judah ^H3063 and Jerusalem ^H3389 mourned ^H56 for ^H5921 ^PREP Josiah ^H2977 .

25 And Jeremiah ^H3414 lamented ^H6969 for ^H5921 ^PREP Josiah ^H2977 : and all ^H3605 the singing men ^H7891 and the singing women ^H7891 spoke ^H559 ^W-VQY3MP of ^H5921 ^PREP Josiah ^H2977 in their lamentations ^H7015 to ^H5704 ^PREP this day ^H3117 ^D-AMS , and made ^H5414 them an ordinance ^H2706 in ^H5921 ^PREP Israel ^H3478 : and , behold ^H2009 , they are written ^H3789 in ^H5921 ^PREP the lamentations ^H7015 .

26 Now the rest ^H3499 of the acts ^H1697 ^CMP of Josiah ^H2977 , and his goodness ^H2617 , according to that which was written ^H3789 in the law ^H8451 ^B-CFS of the LORD ^H3068 ^NAME-4MS ,
