1. מַשָּׂא מִדְבַּר־יָם כְּסוּפֹות בַּנֶּגֶב לַחֲלֹף מִמִּדְבָּר בָּא מֵאֶרֶץ נֹורָאָה׃

2. חָזוּת קָשָׁה הֻגַּד־לִי הַבֹּוגֵד ׀ בֹּוגֵד וְהַשֹּׁודֵד ׀ שֹׁודֵד עֲלִי עֵילָם צוּרִי מָדַי כָּל־אַנְחָתָה הִשְׁבַּתִּי׃

3. עַל־כֵּן מָלְאוּ מָתְנַי חַלְחָלָה צִירִים אֲחָזוּנִי כְּצִירֵי יֹולֵדָה נַעֲוֵיתִי מִשְּׁמֹעַ נִבְהַלְתִּי מֵרְאֹות׃

4. תָּעָה לְבָבִי פַּלָּצוּת בִּעֲתָתְנִי אֵת נֶשֶׁף חִשְׁקִי שָׂם לִי לַחֲרָדָה׃

5. עָרֹךְ הַשֻּׁלְחָן צָפֹה הַצָּפִית אָכֹול שָׁתֹה קוּמוּ הַשָּׂרִים מִשְׁחוּ מָגֵן׃ פ

5. Prepare H6186 the table H7979 , watch H6822 in the watchtower H6844 , eat H398 , drink H8354 : arise H6965 , ye princes H8269 , and anoint H4886 the shield H4043 .

6. כִּי כֹה אָמַר אֵלַי אֲדֹנָי לֵךְ הַעֲמֵד הַמְצַפֶּה אֲשֶׁר יִרְאֶה יַגִּיד׃

7. וְרָאָה רֶכֶב צֶמֶד פָּרָשִׁים רֶכֶב חֲמֹור רֶכֶב גָּמָל וְהִקְשִׁיב קֶשֶׁב רַב־קָשֶׁב׃

7. And he saw H7200 a chariot H7393 with a couple H6776 of horsemen H6571 , a chariot H7393 of asses H2543 , and a chariot H7393 of camels H1581 ; and he hearkened H7181 diligently H7182 with much H7227 heed H7182 :

8. וַיִּקְרָא אַרְיֵה עַל־מִצְפֶּה ׀ אֲדֹנָי אָנֹכִי עֹמֵד תָּמִיד יֹומָם וְעַל־מִשְׁמַרְתִּי אָנֹכִי נִצָּב כָּל־הַלֵּילֹות׃

8. And he cried H7121 , A lion H738 : My lord H113 , I H595 stand H5975 continually H8548 upon H5921 the watchtower H4707 in the daytime H3119 , and I H595 am set H5324 in H5921 my ward H4931 whole H3605 nights H3915 :

9. וְהִנֵּה־זֶה בָא רֶכֶב אִישׁ צֶמֶד פָּרָשִׁים וַיַּעַן וַיֹּאמֶר נָפְלָה נָפְלָה בָּבֶל וְכָל־פְּסִילֵי אֱלֹהֶיהָ שִׁבַּר לָאָרֶץ׃
|
9. And, behold H2009 , here H2088 cometh H935 a chariot H7393 of men H376 , with a couple H6776 of horsemen H6571 . And he answered H6030 and said H559 , Babylon H894 is fallen H5307 , is fallen H5307 ; and all H3605 the graven images H6456 of her gods H430 he hath broken H7665 unto the ground H776 .

10. מְדֻשָׁתִי וּבֶן־גָּרְנִי אֲשֶׁר שָׁמַעְתִּי מֵאֵת יְהוָה צְבָאֹות אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל הִגַּדְתִּי לָכֶם׃ ס
|
10. O my threshing H4098 , and the corn H1121 of my floor H1637 : that which H834 I have heard H8085 of H4480 H854 the LORD H3068 of hosts H6635 , the God H430 of Israel H3478 , have I declared H5046 unto you.

11. מַשָּׂא דּוּמָה אֵלַי קֹרֵא מִשֵּׂעִיר שֹׁמֵר מַה־מִלַּיְלָה שֹׁמֵר מַה־מִלֵּיל׃
|

12. אָמַר שֹׁמֵר אָתָה בֹקֶר וְגַם־לָיְלָה אִם־תִּבְעָיוּן בְּעָיוּ שֻׁבוּ אֵתָיוּ׃ ס

13. מַשָּׂא בַּעְרָב בַּיַּעַר בַּעְרַב תָּלִינוּ אֹרְחֹות דְּדָנִים׃

14. לִקְרַאת צָמֵא הֵתָיוּ מָיִם יֹשְׁבֵי אֶרֶץ תֵּימָא בְּלַחְמֹו קִדְּמוּ נֹדֵד׃
|

15. כִּי־מִפְּנֵי חֲרָבֹות נָדָדוּ מִפְּנֵי ׀ חֶרֶב נְטוּשָׁה וּמִפְּנֵי קֶשֶׁת דְּרוּכָה וּמִפְּנֵי כֹּבֶד מִלְחָמָה׃ ס

16. כִּי־כֹה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי אֵלָי בְּעֹוד שָׁנָה כִּשְׁנֵי שָׂכִיר וְכָלָה כָּל־כְּבֹוד קֵדָר׃
|
16. For H3588 thus H3541 hath the Lord H136 said H559 unto H413 me, Within H5750 a year H8141 , according to the years H8141 of a hireling H7916 , and all H3605 the glory H3519 of Kedar H6938 shall fail H3615 :

17. וּשְׁאָר מִסְפַּר־קֶשֶׁת גִּבֹּורֵי בְנֵי־קֵדָר יִמְעָטוּ כִּי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל דִּבֵּר׃ ס
|
17. And the residue H7605 of the number H4557 of archers H7198 , the mighty men H1368 of the children H1121 of Kedar H6938 , shall be diminished H4591 : for H3588 the LORD H3068 God H430 of Israel H3478 hath spoken H1696 it .
