1 প্রভু বলেন, “যাকোবের পরিবার আমার কথা শোন! তোমরা নিজেদের ‘ইস্রায়েল’ বল| তোমরা এসেছো যিহূদার পরিবার থেকে| প্রতিশ্রুতি করার জন্য তোমরা প্রভুর নাম করো, তোমরা ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বরের প্রশংসা কর| কিন্তু এসব করার সময়ও তোমরা সত্‌ ও আন্তরিক নও|”
2 হ্যাঁ, তারা পবিত্র শহরের নাগরিক| তারা ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বরের ওপর নির্ভর করে| সর্বশক্তিমান প্রভু হল তাঁর নাম|
3 “কি ঘটবে বহুদিন আগে আমি তা বলে দিয়েছি| এবং তারপর হঠাত্ই আমি তা ঘটিযেছি|
4 আমি সেটা করেছিলাম কারণ আমি জানি তোমরা একরোখা জেদী| আমি যা বলেছিলাম তার কোন কিছুকেই তোমরা বিশ্বাস করনি| তোমরা ছিলে বড় একরোখা লোহার মত যাকে বাঁকানো যায় না, একরোখা ছিলে ব্রোঞ্জের মতো|
5 তাই বহুদিন আগে আমি বলেছিলাম কি কি ঘটবে| কোন কিছু ঘটার অনেকদিন আগেই আমি তোমাদের সেই সব জিনিসগুলি ঘটার কথা বলেছিলাম| আমি এটা করেছিলাম যাতে তোমরা বলতে না পার, ‘আমরা যে সব দেবতাদের তৈরী করেছি তারা এসব করেছে|’ আমি এগুলি করেছি, যাতে তোমরা বলতে না পারো ‘আমাদের প্রতিমা, আমাদের মূর্ত্তি এই সব ঘটিযেছেন|”‘
6 “কি ঘটেছে তোমরা দেখেছো| শুনেছোও| তাই এই খবরগুলি তোমাদের অন্যদেরও বলা উচিত্‌| এখন তোমাদের আমি নতুন জিনিসের কথা জানাব| যা তোমরা এখনও শোন নি|
7 এই সব ঘটনা আগে কখনও ঘটেনি, এই সব ঘটনা এখনই ঘটে যাচ্ছে| আজকের আগে এসব কথা তোমরা শোন নি| তোমরা তাই বলতে পারবে না যে আমরা এই সব ইতিমধ্যেই জেনেছি|
8 “তবুও তোমরা আমার কথা শোননি! তোমরা কোন কিছুই শেখোনি! আমি যা বলেছি তোমরা তা শুনতে অস্বীকার করেছ| আমি জানি শুরু থেকেই তোমরা আমার বিরুদ্ধাচরণ করবে| জন্মাবার সময় থেকেই তোমরা আমার বিরুদ্ধে বিদ্রোহ করেছ|
9 কিন্তু আমি ধৈর্য়্য়শীল থাকব| আমি এটা নিজের জন্যই করব| রুদ্ধ না হওয়া এবং তোমাদের ধ্বংস না করার জন্য লোকে আমার প্রশংসা করবে|
10 “দেখো, আমি তোমাদের বিশুদ্ধ করব| লোকে রূপোকে খাঁটি করে তুলতে আগুনের ব্যবহার করে| কিন্তু আমি যন্ত্রণা দিয়ে তোমাদের খাঁটি করে তুলব|
11 আমি নিজের জন্য এইসব করব, নিজের জন্য! কারণ আমি আমার নামের অসম্মান হতে দিতে পারি না| আমি অন্য আর কোন কিছুকেই আমার প্রশংসা ও মহিমা নিতে দেব না!
12 “যাকোব আমি তোমাকে আমার লোক বলে ডেকেছি| তাই আমার কথা শোন! আমিই আদি! আমিই অন্ত!
13 আমি নিজের হাতে পৃথিবীর সৃষ্টি করেছি, আমার ডান হাত সৃষ্টি করেছে আকাশ| ডাকলেই তারা এক সঙ্গে আমার সামনে চলে আসবে|
14 “তোমরা সবাই এসো এখানে, আমার কথা শোন! কোনো মূর্ত্তি কি বলেছে যে এগুলো ঘটবে? না!” প্রভু যাকে ভালোবাসেন, পছন্দ করেন বাবিল ও কল্দীযদের প্রতি যা চাইবে তাই করবেন|
15 প্রভু বলেন, “আমি বলেছি তাকে আমি ডাকব| আমি তাকে বয়ে আনব! আমি তাকে সফল করে তুলব!
16 এখানে এস এবং আমার কথা শোন! বাবিলের জাতি হিসেবে উত্থানের সময় আমি সেখানে ছিলাম| এবং প্রথম থেকেই আমি স্পষ্ট কথা বলেছি, যাতে লোকেরা বুঝতে পারে আমি কি বলেছি|”তখন যিশাইয় বললেন, “এখন প্রভু, আমার সদাপ্রভু আমাকে পাঠিয়েছেন| তাঁর আত্মা তোমাদের এই সব কথা বলবে|
17 প্রভু, পরিত্রাতা, ইস্রায়েলের পবিত্র একজন বলেন,“আমিই প্রভু, তোমাদের ঈশ্বর| আমি তোমাদের সেই সব জিনিষ শেখাই যা সহায়ক| তোমাদের যে পথে যাওয়া উচিত্‌ সেই পথের আমি নেতৃত্ব দেব|
18 তোমরা যদি আমাকে মেনে চলতে তাহলে তোমাদের জীবনে ভরা নদীর মতো শান্তি আসবে| সমুদ্রের তরঙ্গের মতো ভাল জিনিস তোমাদের কাছে আসবে বার বার|
19 তোমরা যদি আমাকে মানতে, তোমাদের অনেক শিশু সন্তান থাকত| তারা অসংখ্য বালু কণার মতো| তোমরা যদি আমাকে মানতে, তোমরা ধ্বংস হতে পারতে না| তোমরা আমার সঙ্গে চালিযে যেতে পারতে|”
20 আমার লোকরা বাবিল ত্যাগ করো! আমার লোকরা কল্দীযদের কাছ থেকে পালাও| আনন্দের সঙ্গে লোকদের এই সংবাদ দাও| পৃথিবীর দূর দূর স্থানে এই বার্তা পৌঁছে দাও! লোককে বলো, “প্রভু তাঁর ভৃত্য যাকোবকে উদ্ধার করেছেন!
21 প্রভু তাঁর লোকদের মরুভূমির ওপর দিয়ে নিয়ে গেলেন কিন্তু তারা কখনও তৃষ্ণার্ত হয়নি| কেন? কারণ প্রভু তাঁর লোকদের জন্য পাথর থেকে জলপ্রবাহের সৃষ্টি করেছিলেন| তিনি পাথরটি ভাঙলেন এবং জল প্রবাহিত হতে লাগল!”
22 প্রভু আরও বলেছেন, “শযতান লোকদের জন্য কোথাও শান্তি থাকবে না!”

2 For H3588 CONJ they call themselves H7121 of the holy H6944 city H5892 M-NFS , and stay themselves H5564 upon H5921 W-PREP the God H430 CDP of Israel H3478 ; The LORD H3068 EDS of hosts H6635 is his name H8034 CMS-3MS .
3 I have declared H5046 VHQ1MS the former things H7223 D-AFP from the beginning H227 ; and they went forth H3318 VQQ3MP out of my mouth H6310 , and I showed H8085 them ; I did H6213 VQQ1MS them suddenly H6597 ADV , and they came to pass H935 .
4 Because I knew H3045 that H3588 CONJ thou H859 PPRO-2MS art obstinate H7186 , and thy neck H6203 is an iron H1270 NMS sinew H1517 , and thy brow H4696 brass H5154 NFS ;
5 I have even from the beginning H227 declared H5046 it to thee ; before H2962 B-ADV it came to pass H935 VQY2MS I showed H8085 it thee : lest H6435 CONJ thou shouldest say H559 , Mine idol H6090 hath done H6213 them , and my graven image H6459 , and my molten image H5262 , hath commanded H6680 them .
6 Thou hast heard H8085 , see H2372 all H3605 this ; and will not H3808 W-NPAR ye H859 W-PPRO-2MP declare H5046 it ? I have showed H8085 thee new things H2319 from this time H6258 , even hidden things H5341 , and thou didst not H3808 W-NPAR know H3045 them .
7 They are created H1254 now H6258 ADV , and not H3808 W-NPAR from the beginning H227 ; even before H6440 WL-CMP the day H3117 NMS when thou heardest H8085 them not H3808 W-NPAR ; lest H6435 CONJ thou shouldest say H559 , Behold H2009 IJEC , I knew H3045 them .
8 Yea H1571 CONJ , thou heardest H8085 VQQ2MS not H3808 ADV ; yea H1571 CONJ , thou knewest H3045 VQQ2MS not H3808 NADV ; yea H1571 CONJ , from that time H227 that thine ear H241 CFS-2MS was not H3808 NADV opened H6605 : for H3588 CONJ I knew H3045 VQQ2MS that thou wouldest deal very treacherously H898 , and wast called H7121 a transgressor H6586 from the womb H990 M-CFS .
9 For my name\'s sake H4616 L-CONJ will I defer H748 VHY1MS mine anger H639 CMS-1MS , and for my praise H8416 will I refrain H2413 for thee , that I cut thee not off H3772 .

12 Hearken H8085 VQI2MS unto H413 PREP-1MS me , O Jacob H3290 and Israel H3478 , my called H7121 ; I H589 PPRO-1MS am he H1931 PPRO-3MS ; I H589 PPRO-1MS am the first H7223 , I H589 PPRO-1MS also H637 CONJ am the last H314 .
13 Mine hand H3027 CFS-1MS also H637 CONJ hath laid the foundation H3245 of the earth H776 GFS , and my right hand H3225 hath spanned H2946 the heavens H8064 NMS : when I H589 PPRO-1MS call H7121 VQPMS unto H413 PREP-3MP them , they stand up H5975 together H3162 ADV .
14 All H3605 ye , assemble yourselves H6908 , and hear H8085 ; which H4310 IPRO among them hath declared H5046 VHQ3MS these H428 PMP things ? 16 Come ye near H7126 unto H413 PREP-1MS me , hear H8085 VQI2MP ye this H2063 DPRO ; I have not H3808 NADV spoken H1696 VPQ1MS in secret H5643 BD-NMS from the beginning H7218 ; from the time H6256 that it was H1961 , there H8033 ADV am I H589 PPRO-1MS : and now H6258 W-ADV the Lord H136 EDS GOD H3069 , and his Spirit H7307 , hath sent H7971 me .
17 Thus H3541 saith H559 VQQ3MS the LORD H3068 EDS , thy Redeemer H1350 , the Holy One H6918 of Israel H3478 ; I H589 PPRO-1MS am the Lord H3068 EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS which teacheth H3925 thee to profit H3276 , which leadeth H1869 thee by the way H1870 B-NMS that thou shouldest go H1980 .
18 O that H3863 thou hadst hearkened H7181 to my commandments H4687 ! then had thy peace H7965 been H1961 W-VQY3MS as a river H5104 , and thy righteousness H6666 as the waves H1530 of the sea H3220 D-NMS :
19 Thy seed H2233 CMS-2MS also had been H1961 W-VQY3MS as the sand H2344 , and the offspring H6631 of thy bowels H4578 like the gravel H4579 thereof ; his name H8034 CMS-3MS should not H3808 ADV have been cut off H3772 VNI3MS nor H3808 NADV destroyed H8045 from before H6440 me .
20 Go ye forth H3318 of Babylon H894 , flee H1272 ye from the Chaldeans H3778 , with a voice H6963 B-NMS of singing H7440 declare H5046 ye , tell H8085 this H2063 DPRO , utter H3318 it even to H5704 PREP the end H7097 of the earth H776 D-GFS ; say H559 ye , The LORD H3068 EDS hath redeemed H1350 his servant H5650 Jacob H3290 .
21 And they thirsted H6770 not H3808 W-NPAR when he led H1980 them through the deserts H2723 : he caused the waters H4325 OMD to flow H5140 out of the rock H6697 for them : he cleaved H1234 the rock H6697 NMS also , and the waters H4325 OMD gushed out H2100 .
