Mark 3:30 (ERVEN) Easy to Read - English

1 Another time Jesus went into the synagogue. In the synagogue there was a man with a crippled hand.
2 Some Jews there were watching Jesus closely. They were waiting to see if he would heal the man on a Sabbath day. They wanted to see Jesus do something wrong so that they could accuse him.
3 Jesus said to the man with the crippled hand, "Stand up here so that everyone can see you."
4 Then Jesus asked the people, "Which is the right thing to do on the Sabbath day: to do good or to do evil? Is it right to save a life or to destroy one?" The people said nothing to answer him.
5 Jesus looked at the people. He was angry, but he felt very sad because they were so stubborn. He said to the man, "Hold out your hand." The man held out his hand, and it was healed.
6 Then the Pharisees left and made plans with the Herodians about a way to kill Jesus.
7 Jesus went away with his followers to the lake. A large crowd of people from Galilee followed them.
8 Many also came from Judea, from Jerusalem, from Idumea, from the area across the Jordan River, and from the area around Tyre and Sidon. These people came because they heard about all that Jesus was doing.
9 Jesus saw how many people there were, so he told his followers to get a small boat and make it ready for him. He wanted the boat so that the crowds of people could not push against him.
10 He had healed many of them, so all the sick people were pushing toward him to touch him.
11 Some people had evil spirits inside them. When the evil spirits saw Jesus, they bowed before him and shouted, "You are the Son of God!"
12 But Jesus gave the spirits a strong warning not to tell anyone who he was.
13 Then Jesus went up on a hill and invited those he wanted to go with him. So they joined him there.
14 And he chose twelve men and called them apostles. He wanted these twelve men to be with him, and he wanted to send them to other places to tell people God's message.
15 He also wanted them to have the power to force demons out of people.
16 These are the names of the twelve men Jesus chose: Simon (the one Jesus named Peter),
17 James and his brother John, the sons of Zebedee (the ones Jesus named Boanerges, which means "Sons of Thunder"),
18 Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James, the son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon, the Zealot,
19 Judas Iscariot (the one who handed Jesus over to his enemies).
20 Then Jesus went home, but again a large crowd gathered there. There were so many people that he and his followers could not eat.
21 His family heard about all these things. They went to get him because people said he was crazy.
22 And the teachers of the law from Jerusalem said, "Satan is living inside him! He uses power from the ruler of demons to force demons out of people."
23 So Jesus called them together and talked to them using some stories. He said, "Satan will not force his own demons out of people.
24 A kingdom that fights against itself will not survive.
25 And a family that is divided will not survive.
26 If Satan is against himself and is fighting against his own people, he will not survive. That would be the end of Satan.
27 "Whoever wants to enter a strong man's house and steal his things must first tie him up. Then they can steal the things from his house.
28 "I want you to know that people can be forgiven for all the sinful things they do. They can even be forgiven for the bad things they say against God.
29 But anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven. They will always be guilty of that sin."
30 Jesus said this because the teachers of the law had accused him of having an evil spirit inside him.
31 Then Jesus' mother and brothers came. They stood outside and sent someone in to tell him to come out.
32 Many people were sitting around Jesus. They said to him, "Your mother and brothers are waiting for you outside."
33 Jesus asked, "Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?"
34 Then he looked at the people sitting around him and said, "These people are my mother and my brothers!
35 My true brother and sister and mother are those who do what God wants."

2 And G2532 CONJ they watched G3906 V-IAI-3P him G846 P-ASM , whether G1487 COND he would heal G2323 V-FAI-3S him G846 P-ASM on the G3588 T-DPN sabbath day G4521 N-DPN ; that G2443 CONJ they might accuse G2723 V-AAS-3P him G846 P-GSM .
3 And G2532 CONJ he saith G3004 V-PAI-3S unto the G3588 T-DSM man G444 N-DSM which had G2192 V-PAP-DSM the G3588 T-DSM withered G3583 V-RPP-ASF hand G5495 N-ASF , Stand G1453 V-AMM-2S forth PREP .
4 And G2532 CONJ he saith G3004 V-PAI-3S unto them G846 P-DPM , Is it lawful G1832 V-PQI-3S to do good G15 V-AAN on the G3588 T-DPN sabbath days G4521 N-DPN , or G2228 PRT to do evil G2554 V-AAN ? to save G4982 V-AAN life G5590 N-ASF , or G2228 PRT to kill G615 V-AAN ? But G1161 CONJ they G3588 T-NPM held their peace G4623 V-IAI-3P .
5 And G2532 CONJ when he had looked round about G4017 V-AMP-NSM on them G846 P-APM with G3326 PREP anger G3709 N-GSF , being grieved G4818 V-PNP-NSM for G1909 PREP the G3588 T-DSF hardness G4457 N-DSF of G3588 T-GSF their G3588 T-GSF hearts G2588 N-GSF , he saith G3004 V-PAI-3S unto the G3588 T-DSM man G444 N-DSM , Stretch forth G1614 V-AAM-2S thine G3588 T-ASF hand G5495 N-ASF . 6 And G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NPM Pharisees G5330 N-NPM went forth G1831 V-2AAP-NPM , and straightway G2112 ADV took counsel G4824 N-ASN with G3326 PREP the G3588 T-GPM Herodians G2265 N-GPM against G2596 PREP him G846 P-GSM , how G3704 ADV they might destroy G622 V-AAS-3P him G846 P-ASM .
7 But G2532 CONJ Jesus G2424 N-NSM withdrew G402 V-AAI-3S himself with G3326 PREP his G3588 T-GPM disciples G3101 N-GPM to G4314 PREP the G3588 T-ASF sea G2281 N-ASF : and G2532 CONJ a great G4183 A-NSN multitude G4128 N-NSN from G575 PREP Galilee G1056 N-GSF followed G190 V-AAI-3P him G846 P-GSM , and G2532 CONJ from G575 PREP Judea G2449 N-GSF ,
8 And G2532 CONJ from G575 PREP Jerusalem G2414 N-GPN , and G2532 CONJ from G575 PREP Idumea G2401 N-GSF , and G2532 CONJ from beyond G4008 ADV Jordan G2446 N-GSM ; and G2532 CONJ they G3588 T-NPM about G4012 PREP Tyre G5184 N-ASF and G2532 CONJ Sidon G4605 N-ASF , a great G4183 A-NSN multitude G4128 N-NSN , when they had heard G191 V-AAP-NPM what great things G3745 K-APN he did G4160 V-IAI-3S , came G2064 V-2AAI-3P unto G4314 PREP him G846 P-ASM .
9 And G2532 CONJ he spake G2036 V-2AAI-3S to his G3588 T-DPM disciples G3101 N-DPM , that G2443 CONJ a small ship G4142 N-NSN should wait on G4342 V-PAS-3S him G846 P-GSM because G1223 PREP of G3588 T-ASM the G3588 T-ASM multitude G3793 N-ASM , lest G3363 they should throng G2346 V-PAS-3P him G846 P-DSM .
10 For G1063 CONJ he had healed G2323 V-AAI-3S many G4183 A-APM ; insomuch that G5620 CONJ they pressed upon G1968 V-PAN him G846 P-DSM for to G2443 CONJ touch G680 V-AMS-3P him G846 P-GSM , as many as G3745 K-NPM had G2192 V-IAI-3P plagues G3148 N-APF .
11 And G2532 CONJ unclean G169 A-NPN spirits G4151 N-NPN , when G3752 CONJ they saw G2334 V-IAI-3S him G846 P-ASM , fell down before G4363 V-IAI-3S him G846 P-DSM , and G2532 CONJ cried G2896 V-IAI-3S , saying G3004 V-PAP-NPN , Thou G4771 P-2NS art G1488 V-PXI-2S the G3588 T-NSM Son G5207 N-NSM of God G2316 N-GSM .
12 And G2532 CONJ he straitly G4183 A-APN charged G2008 V-IAI-3S them G846 P-DPM that G2443 CONJ they should not G3361 PRT-N make G4160 V-AAS-3P him G846 P-ASM known G5318 A-ASM .
13 And G2532 CONJ he goeth up G305 V-PAI-3S into G1519 PREP a mountain G3735 N-ASN , and G2532 CONJ calleth G4341 V-PNI-3S unto him whom G3739 R-APM he G846 P-NSM would G2309 V-IAI-3S : and G2532 CONJ they came G565 V-2AAI-3P unto G4314 PREP him G846 P-ASM .
14 And G2532 CONJ he ordained G4160 V-AAI-3S twelve G1427 A-NUI , that G2443 CONJ they should be G5600 V-PXS-3P with G3326 PREP him G846 P-GSM , and G2532 CONJ that G2443 CONJ he might send them forth V-PAS-3S to preach G2784 V-PAN ,
15 And G2532 CONJ to have G2192 V-PAN power G1849 N-ASF to heal G2323 V-PAN sicknesses G3554 N-APF , and G2532 CONJ to cast out G1544 V-PAN devils G1140 N-APN :
16 And G2532 CONJ Simon G4613 N-DSM he surnamed G2007 V-AAI-3S Peter G4074 N-ASM ;
17 And G2532 CONJ James G2385 N-ASM the G3588 T-ASM son of Zebedee G2199 N-GSM , and G2532 CONJ John G2491 N-ASM the G3588 T-ASM brother G80 N-ASM of James G2385 N-GSM ; and G2532 CONJ he surnamed G2007 V-AAI-3S them G846 P-DPM Boanerges G993 N-PRI , which is G3603 , The sons G5207 N-NPM of thunder G1027 N-GSF :
18 And G2532 CONJ Andrew G406 N-ASM , and G2532 CONJ Philip G5376 N-ASM , and G2532 CONJ Bartholomew G918 N-ASM , and G2532 CONJ Matthew G3156 N-ASM , and G2532 CONJ Thomas G2381 N-ASM , and G2532 CONJ James G2385 N-ASM the G3588 T-ASM son of Alphaeus G256 N-GSM , and G2532 CONJ Thaddaeus G2280 N-ASM , and G2532 CONJ Simon G4613 N-ASM the G3588 T-ASM Canaanite G2581 N-ASM ,
19 And G2532 CONJ Judas G2455 N-ASM Iscariot G2469 N-ASM , which G3739 R-NSM also G2532 CONJ betrayed G3860 V-AAI-3S him G846 P-ASM : and G2532 CONJ they went G2064 V-PNI-3P into G1519 PREP a house G3624 N-ASM .
20 And G2532 CONJ the multitude G3793 N-NSM cometh together G4905 V-PNI-3S again G3825 ADV , so that G5620 CONJ they G846 P-APM could G1410 V-PNN not G3361 PRT-N so much as G3383 CONJ eat G5315 V-2AAN bread G740 N-ASM .
21 And G2532 CONJ when his friends G3844 PREP heard G191 V-AAP-NPM of it , they went out G1831 V-2AAI-3P to lay hold on G2902 V-AAN him G846 P-GSM : for G1063 CONJ they said G3004 V-IAI-3P , He is beside himself G1839 V-2AAI-3S .
22 And G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NPM scribes G1122 N-NPM which G3588 T-NPM came down G2597 V-2AAP-NPM from G575 PREP Jerusalem G2414 N-GPN said G3004 V-IAI-3P , He hath G2192 V-PAI-3S Beelzebub G954 N-PRI , and G2532 CONJ by G1722 PREP the G3588 T-DSM prince G758 N-DSM of G3588 T-GPN the G3588 T-GPN devils G1140 N-GPN casteth he G3588 T-APN out G1544 V-PAI-3S devils G1140 N-APN .
23 And G2532 CONJ he called G4341 V-ADP-NSM them G846 P-APM unto him , and G2532 CONJ said G3004 V-IAI-3S unto them G846 P-DPM in G1722 PREP parables G3850 N-DPF , How G4459 ADV-I can G1410 V-PNI-3S Satan G4567 N-NSM cast out G1544 V-PAN Satan G4567 N-ASM ?
24 And G2532 CONJ if G1437 COND a kingdom G932 N-NSF be divided G3307 V-APS-3S against G1909 PREP itself G1438 F-3ASF , that G3588 T-NSF kingdom G932 N-NSF cannot G1410 V-PNI-3S stand G2476 V-APN .
25 And G2532 CONJ if G1437 COND a house G3614 N-NSF be divided G3307 V-APS-3S against G1909 PREP itself G1438 F-3ASF , that G3588 T-NSF house G3614 N-NSF cannot G1410 V-PNI-3S stand G2476 V-APN .
26 And G2532 CONJ if G1487 COND Satan G4567 N-NSM rise up G450 V-2AAI-3S against G1909 PREP himself G1438 F-3ASM , and G2532 CONJ be divided G3307 V-RPI-3S , he cannot G1410 V-PNI-3S stand G2476 V-APN , but G235 CONJ hath G2192 V-PAI-3S an end G5056 N-ASN .
27 No man G3762 A-NSM can G1410 V-PNI-3S enter G1525 V-2AAP-NSM into G1519 PREP a strong man G2478 A-GSM \'s house G3614 N-ASF , and spoil G1283 V-AAN his G3588 T-APN goods G4632 N-APN , except G3362 he will first G4412 ADV bind G1210 V-AAS-3S the G3588 T-ASM strong man G2478 A-ASM ; and G2532 CONJ then G5119 ADV he will spoil G1283 V-AAS-3S his G3588 T-ASF house G3614 N-ASF .
28 Verily G281 HEB I say G3004 V-PAI-1S unto you G5213 P-2DP , All G3956 A-NPN sins G265 N-NPN shall be forgiven G863 V-FPI-3S unto the G3588 T-DPM sons G5207 N-DPM of men G444 N-GPM , and G2532 CONJ blasphemies G988 N-NPF wherewith soever G3745 K-APF they shall blaspheme G987 V-AAS-3P :
29 But G1161 CONJ he R-NSM that shall blaspheme G987 V-AAS-3S against G1519 PREP the G3588 T-ASN Holy G40 A-ASN Ghost G4151 N-ASN hath G2192 V-PAI-3S never forgiveness G859 N-ASF , but G235 CONJ is G2076 V-PXI-3S in danger G1777 A-NSM of eternal G166 A-GSF damnation G2920 N-GSF :
30 Because G3754 CONJ they said G3004 V-IAI-3P , He hath G2192 V-PAI-3S an unclean G169 A-ASN spirit G4151 N-ASN .
31 There came G2064 V-PNI-3P then G3767 CONJ his brethren G80 N-NPM and G2532 CONJ his G3588 T-NSF mother G3384 N-NSF , and G2532 CONJ , standing G2476 V-RAP-NPM without G1854 ADV , sent G649 V-AAI-3P unto G4314 PREP him G846 P-ASM , calling G5455 V-PAP-NPM him G846 P-ASM .
32 And G2532 CONJ the multitude G3793 N-NSM sat G2521 V-INI-3S about G4012 PREP him G846 P-ASM , and G1161 CONJ they said G2036 V-2AAI-3P unto him G846 P-DSM , Behold G2400 V-2AAM-2S , thy G3588 T-NSF mother G3384 N-NSF and G2532 CONJ thy G3588 T-NPM brethren G80 N-NPM without G1854 ADV seek G2212 V-PAI-3P for thee G4571 P-2AS .
33 And G2532 CONJ he answered G611 V-ADI-3S them G846 P-DPM , saying G3004 V-PAP-NSM , Who G5101 I-NSM is G2076 V-PXI-3S my G3588 T-NSF mother G3384 N-NSF , or G2228 PRT my G3588 T-NPM brethren G80 N-NPM ?
34 And G2532 CONJ he looked G4017 V-AMP-NSM round about G2945 N-DSM on them G3588 T-APM which G3588 T-APM sat G2521 V-PNP-APM about G4012 PREP him G846 P-ASM , and said G3004 V-PAI-3S , Behold G2396 my G3588 T-NSF mother G3384 N-NSF and G2532 CONJ my G3588 T-NPM brethren G80 N-NPM !
35 For G1063 CONJ whosoever G3739 R-NSM shall do G4160 V-AAS-3S the G3588 T-ASN will G2307 N-ASN of God G2316 N-GSM , the same G3778 D-NSM is G2076 V-PXI-3S my G3450 P-1GS brother G80 N-NSM , and G2532 CONJ my G3450 P-1GS sister G79 N-NSF , and G2532 CONJ mother G3384 N-NSF .
