1 माझा परमेश्वरावर विश्वास आहे, मग तू मला पळून जाऊन लपावयास का सांगितलेस? तू मला म्हणालास “पक्ष्यासारखा उडून तुझ्या डोंगरावर जा.”
2 दुष्ट लोक शिकाऱ्यासारखे असतात. ते अंधारात लपून बसतात. ते धनुष्याची दोरी खेचतात. ते त्यांचा बाण लक्ष्यावर रोखतात आणि तो चांगल्या आणि सत्यवादी माणसाच्या ह्दयात सरळ सोडतात.
3 त्यांनी सगळ्या चांगल्या गोष्टींचा असा नाश केला तर काय होईल? मग चांगली माणसे काय करतील?.
4 परमेश्वर त्याच्या पवित्र राजप्रासादात राहतो. तो स्वर्गात त्याच्या सिंहासनावर बसतो आणि जे काही घडते ते तो बघतो परमेश्वर त्याच्या डोळ्यांनी लोकांकडे अगदी बारकाईने पाहातो ते चांगले आहेत की वाईट आहेत ते तो बघत असतो.
5 परमेश्वर चांगल्या लोकांचा शोध घेतो. दुष्टांना दुसऱ्यांना त्रास द्यायला आवडते आणि परमेश्वर अशा दुष्ट लोकांचा तिरस्कार करतो.
6 तो त्यांच्यावर जळते निखारे आणि तप्त गंधक ओतेल. दुष्टांना फक्त तप्त आणि चटका देणारा वाराच मिळेल.
7 परंतु परमेश्वर चांगला आहे आणि चांगले कृत्य करणारे लोक त्याला आवडतात. चांगले लोक त्याच्याजवळ असतील आणि त्याचे दर्शन घेतील.
