2 Chronicles 5 (ESV) English Standard Version

1 Thus all the work that Solomon did for the house of the LORD was finished. And Solomon brought in the things that David his father had dedicated, and stored the silver, the gold, and all the vessels in the treasuries of the house of God.
2 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers' houses of the people of Israel, in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.
3 And all the men of Israel assembled before the king at the feast that is in the seventh month.
4 And all the elders of Israel came, and the Levites took up the ark.
5 And they brought up the ark, the tent of meeting, and all the holy vessels that were in the tent; the Levitical priests brought them up.
6 And King Solomon and all the congregation of Israel, who had assembled before him, were before the ark, sacrificing so many sheep and oxen that they could not be counted or numbered.
7 Then the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the LORD to its place, in the inner sanctuary of the house, in the Most Holy Place, underneath the wings of the cherubim.
8 The cherubim spread out their wings over the place of the ark, so that the cherubim made a covering above the ark and its poles.
9 And the poles were so long that the ends of the poles were seen from the Holy Place before the inner sanctuary, but they could not be seen from outside. And they are there to this day.
10 There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets that Moses put there at Horeb, where the LORD made a covenant with the people of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.
11 And when the priests came out of the Holy Place (for all the priests who were present had consecrated themselves, without regard to their divisions,
12 and all the Levitical singers, Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun, their sons and kinsmen, arrayed in fine linen, with cymbals, harps, and lyres, stood east of the altar with 120 priests who were trumpeters;
13 and it was the duty of the trumpeters and singers to make themselves heard in unison in praise and thanksgiving to the LORD), and when the song was raised, with trumpets and cymbals and other musical instruments, in praise to the LORD, "For he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever," the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud,
14 so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.

2 Then H227 ADV Solomon H8010 MMS assembled H6950 the elders H2205 of Israel H3478 , and all H3605 NMS the heads H7218 CMP of the tribes H4294 , the chief H5387 of the fathers H1 of the children H1121 L-CMP of Israel H3478 , unto H413 PREP Jerusalem H3389 , to bring up H5927 the ark H727 of the covenant H1285 NFS of the LORD H3068 EDS out of the city H5892 M-NFS of David H1732 , which H1931 PPRO-3FS is Zion H6726 .
3 Wherefore all H3605 NMS the men H376 NMS of Israel H3478 assembled themselves H6950 unto H413 PREP the king H4428 D-NMS in the feast H2282 which H1931 PPRO-3MS was in the seventh H7637 month H2320 D-NMS .
4 And all H3605 NMS the elders H2205 of Israel H3478 came H935 W-VQY3MP ; and the Levites H3881 took up H5375 W-VQY3MP the ark H727 .
5 And they brought up H5927 the ark H727 , and the tabernacle H168 NMS of the congregation H4150 NMS , and all H3605 NMS the holy H6944 vessels H3627 that H834 RPRO were in the tabernacle H168 , these did the priests H3548 and the Levites H3881 bring up H5927 .
6 Also king H4428 Solomon H8010 MMS , and all H3605 W-CMS the congregation H5712 CFS of Israel H3478 that were assembled H3259 unto H5921 PREP-3MS him before H6440 L-CMP the ark H727 , sacrificed H2076 sheep H6629 NMS and oxen H1241 W-NMS , which H834 RPRO could not H3808 ADV be told H5608 nor H3808 W-NADV numbered H4487 for multitude H7230 .
7 And the priests H3548 brought in the ark H727 of the covenant H1285 NFS of the LORD H3068 EDS unto H413 PREP his place H4725 , to H413 PREP the oracle H1687 of the house H1004 D-NMS , into H413 PREP the most holy H6944 place , even under H413 PREP the wings H3671 of the cherubims H3742 :
8 For the cherubims H3742 spread forth W-VQY3MP their wings H3671 over H5921 PREP the place H4725 CMS of the ark H727 , and the cherubims H3742 covered H3680 W-VQY3MP the ark H727 and the staves H905 CMP-3MS thereof above H4605 .
9 And they drew out H748 the staves H905 of the ark , that the ends H7218 CMP of the staves H905 were seen H7200 from H4480 PREP the ark H727 before H5921 PREP the oracle H1687 ; but they were not H3808 W-NPAR seen H7200 without H2351 . And there H8033 ADV it is H1961 W-VPY3MS unto H5704 PREP this H2088 D-PMS day H3117 D-AMS .
10 There was nothing H369 NPAR in the ark H727 save H7535 ADV the two H8147 ONUM tables H3871 which H834 RPRO Moses H4872 put H5414 VQQ3MS therein at Horeb H2722 , when H834 RPRO the LORD H3068 EDS made H3772 a covenant with H5973 PREP the children H1121 of Israel H3478 , when they came out H3318 of Egypt H4714 .
11 And it came to pass H1961 W-VQY3MS , when the priests H3548 were come out H3318 of H4480 PREP the holy H6944 place H3588 CONJ : ( CONJ for CONJ all H3605 NMS the priests H3548 that were present H4672 were sanctified H6942 , and did not H369 NPAR then wait H8104 by course H4256 :
12 Also the Levites H3881 which were the singers H7891 , all H3605 of them of Asaph H623 , of Heman H1968 , of Jeduthun H3038 , with their sons H1121 and their brethren H251 , being arrayed H3847 in white linen H948 , having cymbals H4700 and psalteries H5035 and harps H3658 , stood H5975 VQPMP at the east end H4217 of the altar H4196 , and with H5973 them a hundred H3967 and twenty H6242 W-MMP priests H3548 sounding H2690 with trumpets H2689 : )
13 It came even to pass H1961 W-VQY3MS , as the trumpeters H2690 and singers H7891 were as one H259 , to make one H259 MMS sound H6963 CMS to be heard H8085 in praising H1984 and thanking H3034 the LORD H3068 L-EDS ; and when they lifted up H7311 their voice H6963 CMS with the trumpets H2689 and cymbals H4700 and instruments H3627 of music H7892 , and praised H1984 the LORD H3068 L-EDS , saying , For H3588 CONJ he is good H2896 AMS ; for H3588 CONJ his mercy H2617 endureth forever H5769 L-NMS : that then the house H1004 was filled H4390 VQQ3MS with a cloud H6051 NMS , even the house H1004 CMS of the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS ;
14 So that the priests H3548 could H3201 not H3808 W-NPAR stand H5975 to minister H8334 by reason of M-CMP the cloud H6051 : for H3588 CONJ the glory H3519 of the LORD H3068 EDS had filled H4390 VQQ3MS the house H1004 CMS of God H430 .
