Leviticus 2:4 (GNB) Good News Bible

1 When any of you present an offering of grain to the LORD, you must first grind it into flour. You must put olive oil and incense on it
2 and bring it to the Aaronite priests. The officiating priest shall take a handful of the flour and oil and all of the incense and burn it on the altar as a token that it has all been offered to the LORD. The odor of this food offering is pleasing to the LORD.
3 The rest of the grain offering belongs to the priests; it is very holy, since it is taken from the food offered to the LORD.
4 If the offering is bread baked in an oven, it must be made without yeast. It may be thick loaves made of flour mixed with olive oil or thin cakes brushed with olive oil.
5 If the offering is bread cooked on a griddle, it is to be made of flour mixed with olive oil but without yeast.
6 Crumble it up and pour the oil on it when you present it as an offering.
7 If the offering is bread cooked in a pan, it is to be made of flour and olive oil.
8 Bring it as an offering to the LORD and present it to the priest, who will take it to the altar.
9 The priest will take part of it as a token that it has all been offered to the LORD, and he will burn it on the altar. The odor of this food offering is pleasing to the LORD.
10 The rest of the offering belongs to the priests; it is very holy, since it is taken from the food offered to the LORD.
11 None of the grain offerings which you present to the LORD may be made with yeast; you must never use yeast or honey in food offered to the LORD.
12 An offering of the first grain that you harvest each year shall be brought to the LORD, but it is not to be burned on the altar.
13 Put salt on every grain offering, because salt represents the covenant between you and God. (You must put salt on all your offerings.)
14 When you bring to the LORD an offering of the first grain harvested, offer roasted grain or ground meal.
15 Add olive oil and put incense on it.
16 The priest will burn that part of the meal and oil that is to serve as a token, and also all the incense, as a food offering to the LORD.
1 And when H3588 CONJ any H5315 W-GFS will offer H7126 a meat H4503 NFS offering H7133 unto the LORD H3068 L-EDS , his offering H7133 shall be H1961 VQY3MS of fine flour H5560 ; and he shall pour H3332 oil H8081 NMS upon H5921 PREP-3FS it , and put H5414 W-VQQ3MS frankincense H3828 thereon H5921 PREP-3FS :
2 And he shall bring H935 it to H413 PREP Aaron H175 \'s sons H1121 the priests H3548 : and he shall take H7061 therefrom H8033 M-ADV his handful H4393 of the flour H5560 thereof , and of the oil H8081 thereof , with H5921 PREP all H3605 NMS the frankincense H3828 thereof ; and the priest H3548 shall burn H6999 the memorial H234 of it upon the altar H4196 , to be an offering made by fire H801 , of a sweet H5207 savor H7381 CMS unto the LORD H3068 :
3 And the remnant H3498 of H4480 PREP the meat offering H4503 shall be Aaron H175 \'s and his sons H1121 \' : it is a thing most holy H6944 of the offerings of the LORD made by fire H801 .
4 And if H3588 W-CONJ thou bring H7126 an oblation H7133 of a meat offering H4503 NFS baked H3989 in the oven H8574 , it shall be unleavened H4682 cakes H2471 of fine flour H5560 mingled H1101 with oil H8081 , or unleavened H4682 wafers H7550 anointed H4886 with oil H8081 .
5 And if H518 W-PART thy oblation H7133 be a meat offering H4503 NFS baked in H5921 PREP a pan H4227 , it shall be H1961 of fine flour H5560 unleavened H4682 , mingled H1101 with oil H8081 .
6 Thou shalt part H6626 it in pieces H6595 , and pour H3332 oil H8081 thereon H5921 PREP-3FS : it H1931 PPRO-3FS is a meat offering H4503 NFS .
7 And if H518 W-PART thy oblation H7133 be a meat offering H4503 baked in the frying pan H4802 , it shall be made H6213 of fine flour H5560 with oil H8081 .
8 And thou shalt bring H935 the meat offering H4503 that H834 RPRO is made H6213 of these things H428 M-PMP unto the LORD H3068 L-EDS : and when it is presented H7126 unto H413 PREP the priest H3548 , he shall bring H5066 it unto H413 PREP the altar H4196 .
9 And the priest H3548 shall take H7311 from H4480 PREP the meat offering H4503 a memorial H234 thereof , and shall burn H6999 it upon the altar H4196 : it is an offering made by fire H801 , of a sweet H5207 savor H7381 CMS unto the LORD H3068 .
10 And that which is left H3498 of H4480 PREP the meat offering H4503 shall be Aaron H175 \'s H1121 and his H1121 sons\' H1121 : it is a thing most holy H6944 of the offerings of the LORD made by fire H801 .
11 No H3808 NADV meat offering H4503 , which H834 RPRO ye shall bring H7126 unto the LORD H3068 L-EDS , shall be made H6213 with leaven H2557 : for H3588 CONJ ye shall burn H6999 no H3808 ADV leaven H7603 , nor any H3605 NMS honey H1706 NMS , in any offering of the LORD made by fire H801 .
12 As for the oblation H7133 of the firstfruits H7225 CFS , ye shall offer H7126 them unto the LORD H3068 L-EDS : but they shall not H3808 NADV be burnt H5927 on H413 W-PREP the altar H4196 D-NMS for a sweet H5207 savor H7381 .
13 And every H3605 NMS oblation H7133 of thy meat offering H4503 shalt thou season H4414 with salt H4417 ; neither H3808 W-NPAR shalt thou suffer the salt H4417 NMS of the covenant H1285 NFS of thy God H430 CMP-2MS to be lacking H7673 from M-PREP thy meat offering H4503 : with H5921 M-PREP all H3605 NMS thine offerings H7133 thou shalt offer H7126 salt H4417 .
14 And if H518 W-PART thou offer H7126 a meat offering H4503 of thy firstfruits H1061 unto the LORD H3068 L-EDS , thou shalt offer H7126 for the meat offering H4503 of thy firstfruits H1061 green ears of corn H24 dried H7033 by the fire H784 , even corn beaten H1643 out of full ears H3759 .
15 And thou shalt put H5414 oil H8081 NMS upon H5921 PREP-3FS it , and lay H7760 frankincense H3828 thereon H5921 PREP-3FS : it H1931 PPRO-3FS is a meat offering H4503 NFS .
16 And the priest H3548 shall burn H6999 the memorial H234 of it , part of the beaten corn H1643 thereof , and part of the oil H8081 thereof , with H5921 PREP all H3605 NMS the frankincense H3828 thereof : it is an offering made by fire H801 unto the LORD H3068 .
