1 ഉസ്സീയാവു, യോഥാം ആഹാസ്, ഹിസ്കീയാവു എന്നീ യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ കാലത്തും യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവായി യോവാശിന്റെ മകനായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ കാലത്തും ബെയേരിയുടെ മകനായ ഹോശേയെക്കു ഉണ്ടായ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
2 യഹോവ ഹോശേയമുഖാന്തരം സംസാരിച്ചു തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ, യഹോവ ഹോശേയയോടു: നീ ചെന്നുപരസംഗം ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു ഭാര്യയെയും പരസംഗത്തിൽ ജനിച്ച മക്കളെയും എടുക്ക; ദേശം യഹോവയെ വിട്ടുമാറി കഠിന പരസംഗം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.
3 അങ്ങനെ അവൻ ചെന്നു ദിബ്ളയീമിന്റെ മകളായ ഗോമരിനെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു; അവൾ ഗർഭം ധരിച്ചു അവന്നു ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു.
4 യഹോവ അവനോടു: അവന്നു യിസ്രെയേൽ (ദൈവം വിതെക്കും) എന്നു പേർവിളിക്ക; ഇനി കുറെക്കാലം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഞാൻ യിസ്രെയേലിന്റെ രക്തപാതകങ്ങളെ യേഹൂഗൃഹത്തോടു സന്ദർശിച്ചു യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ രാജത്വം ഇല്ലാതെയാക്കും;
5 അന്നാളിൽ ഞാൻ യിസ്രെയേൽ താഴ്വരയിൽവെച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ വില്ലു ഒടിച്ചുകളയും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
6 അവൾ പിന്നെയും ഗർഭംധരിച്ചു ഒരു മകളെ പ്രസവിച്ചു. യഹോവ അവനോടു: അവൾക്കു ലോരൂഹമാ (കരുണ ലഭിക്കാത്തവൾ) എന്നു പേർ വിളിക്ക; ഞാൻ ഇനി യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹത്തോടു ക്ഷമിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം അവരോടു ഒട്ടും കരുണ കാണിക്കയില്ല.
7 എന്നാൽ യെഹൂദാഗൃഹത്തോടു ഞാൻ കരുണ കാണിച്ചു, അവരെ വില്ലുകൊണ്ടോ വാൾകൊണ്ടോ യുദ്ധംകൊണ്ടോ കുതിരകളെക്കൊണ്ടോ കുതിരച്ചേവകരെക്കൊണ്ടോ രക്ഷിക്കാതെ അവരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെക്കൊണ്ടു അവരെ രക്ഷിക്കും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
8 അവൾ ലോരൂഹമയെ മുലകുടി മാറ്റിയശേഷം ഗർഭം ധരിച്ചു ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു.
9 അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ: അവന്നു ലോ-അമ്മീ (എന്റെ ജനമല്ല) എന്നു പേർ വിളിക്ക; നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ ജനമല്ല, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ദൈവമായിരിക്കയുമില്ല എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
10 എങ്കിലും യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ സംഖ്യ അളക്കുവാനും എണ്ണുവാനും കഴിയാത്ത കടൽക്കരയിലെ പൂഴിപോലെ ഇരിക്കും; നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ ജനമല്ല എന്നു അവരോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതിന്നു പകരം നിങ്ങൾ ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മക്കൾ എന്നു അവരോടു പറയും.
11 യെഹൂദാമക്കളും യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളും ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടി തങ്ങൾക്കു ഒരേ തലവനെ നിയമിച്ചു ദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോകും; യിസ്രെയേലിന്റെ നാൾ വലുതായിരിക്കുമല്ലോ.

2 The beginning H8462 of the word H1696 VPQ3MS of the LORD H3068 EDS by Hosea H1954 . And the LORD H3068 EDS said H559 W-VQY3MS to H413 PREP Hosea H1954 , Go H1980 VQI2MS , take H3947 VQI2MS unto thee a wife H802 CFS of whoredoms H2183 and children H3206 of whoredoms H2183 : for H3588 CONJ the land H776 D-GFS hath committed great whoredom H2181 , departing from the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS .
3 So he went H1980 W-VQY3MS and took H3947 W-VQY3MS Gomer H1586 EMS the daughter H1323 CFS of Diblaim H1691 ; which conceived H2029 W-VQY3FS , and bore H3205 him a son H1121 NMS .
4 And the LORD H3068 EDS said H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP-3MS him , Call H7121 VQI2MP his name H8034 CMS-3MS Jezreel H3157 ; for H3588 CONJ yet H5750 ADV a little H4592 AMS while , and I will avenge H6485 the blood H1818 CMP of Jezreel H3157 upon H5921 PREP the house H1004 CMS of Jehu H3058 , and will cause to cease H7673 the kingdom H4468 of the house H1004 CMS of Israel H3478 LMS .
5 And it shall come to pass H1961 W-VQQ3MS at that H1931 D-PPRO-3MS day H3117 B-AMS , that I will break H7665 the bow H7198 CFS of Israel H3478 in the valley H6010 B-CMS of Jezreel H3157 .
6 And she conceived H2029 W-VQY3FS again H5750 ADV , and bore H3205 W-VQY3FS a daughter H1323 CFS . And God said H559 W-VQY3MS unto him , Call H7121 VQI2MP her name H8034 CMS-3FS Lo H3819 - ruhamah : for H3588 CONJ I will no H3808 NADV more H5750 ADV have mercy upon H7355 the house H1004 of Israel H3478 ; but H3588 CONJ I will utterly take them away H5375 .
7 But I will have mercy upon H7355 the house H1004 CMS of Judah H3063 , and will save H3467 them by the LORD H3068 their God H430 , and will not H3808 W-NPAR save H3467 them by bow H7198 , nor by sword H2719 , nor by battle H4421 WB-NFS , by horses H5483 , nor by horsemen H6571 .
8 Now when she had weaned H1580 Lo H3819 - ruhamah , she conceived H2029 W-VQY3FS , and bore H3205 W-VQY3FS a son H1121 NMS .
9 Then said H559 W-VQY3MS God , Call H7121 VQI2MP his name H8034 CMS-3MS Lo H3818 - ammi : for H3588 CONJ ye H859 PPRO-2MS are not H3808 NADV my people H5971 , and I H595 W-PPRO-1MS will not H3808 ADV be H1961 VQY1MS your God .
10 Yet the number H4557 CMS of the children H1121 of Israel H3478 shall be H1961 W-VQQ3MS as the sand H2344 of the sea H3220 D-NMS , which H834 RPRO cannot H3808 ADV be measured H4058 nor H3808 W-NADV numbered H5608 ; and it shall come to pass H1961 W-VQQ3MS , that in the place H4725 B-CMS where H834 RPRO it was said H559 unto them , Ye H859 PPRO-2MS are not H3808 ADV my people H5971 , there it shall be said H559 unto them , Ye are the sons H1121 of the living H2416 AMS God H410 NMS .
11 Then shall the children H1121 of Judah H3063 and the children H1121 of Israel H3478 be gathered together H6908 , and appoint H7760 themselves one H259 MMS head H7218 NMS , and they shall come up H5927 out of H4480 PREP the land H776 D-GFS : for H3588 CONJ great H1419 shall be the day H3117 NMS of Jezreel H3157 .
