1 تب تیمائی الیفزؔ کہنے لگا۔
2 اگر کوئی تجھ سے بات چیت کرنے کی کوشش کرے تو کیا تو رنجیدہ ہوگا ؟ پر بولے بغیر کون رہ سکتا ہے ؟
3 دیکھ ! تو نے بہتوں کو سکھایا اور کمزور ہاتھوں کومضبوط کیا۔
4 تیری باتوں نے گرتے ہوئے کو سنبھالا اور تو نے لڑکھڑاتے گھٹنوں کو پایدار کیا۔
5 پر اب تو تجھی پر آپڑی اور تو بے دِل ہُوا جاتا ہے ۔اُس نے تجھے چھُوا اور تو گھبرا اُٹھا ۔
6 کیا تیری خدا ترسی ہی تیرا بھروسا نہیں ؟ کیا تیری راہوں کی راستی تیری اُمید نہیں ؟
7 کیا تجھے یا د ہے کہ کبھی کوئی معصوم بھی ہلاک ہُوا ہے ؟ یا کہیں راستباز بھی کاٹ ڈالے گئے ؟
8 میرے دیکھنے میں تو جو گُناہ کو جوتتے اور دُکھ بولتے ہیں وہی اُسکو کاٹتے ہیں ۔
9 وہ خدا کے دم سے ہلاک ہوتے اور اُسکے غضب کے جھوکے سے بھسم ہوتے ہیں ۔
10 ببر کی گرج اور خونخوار ببر کی دھاڑ اور ببر کے بچوں کے دانت ۔یہ سب توڑے جاتے ہیں ۔
11 شکار نہ پانے سے بُڈّھا ببر ہلاک ہوتا اور شیرنی کے بچے تتر بتر ہوجاتے ہیں ۔
12 ایک بات چُپکے سے میرے پاس پہنچائی گئی ۔اُسکی بھنک میرے کان میں پڑی ۔
13 رات کی رویتوں کے خیالوں کے درمیان جب لوگوں کو گہری نیند آتی ہے ۔
14 مجھے خوف اور کپکپی نے اَیسا پکڑا کہ میری سب ہڈیوں کو ہلا ڈالا۔
15 تب ایک رُوح میرے سامنے سے گُذری اور میرے رونگٹے کھڑے ہوگئے ۔
16 وہ چُپ چاپ کھڑی ہوگئی پر میں اُسکی شکل پہچان نہ سکا ۔ ایک صورت میری آنکھوں کے سامنے تھی اور سناّٹا تھا ۔پھر میں نے ایک آواز سُنی ۔ کہ
17 کیا فانی اِنسان خدا سے زیادہ عادِل ہوگا؟کیا آدمی اپنے خالق سے زیادہ پاک ٹھہریگا ؟
18 دیکھ! اُسے اپنے خادموں کا اعتبار نہیں اور وہ اپنے فرشتوں پر حمایت کوعائد کرتا ہے ۔
19 پھر بھلا اُنکی کیا حقیقت ہے جو مٹی کے مکانوں میں رہتے ہیں ۔جنکی بُنیاد خاک میں ہے اور جو پتنگے سے بھی جلدی پس جاتے ہیں !
20 وہ صُبح سے شام تک ہلاک ہوتے ہیں۔وہ ہمیشہ کے لئے فنا ہوجاتے ہیں اور کوئی اُنکا خیال بھی نہیں کرتا ۔
21 کیا اُنکے ڈیرے کی ڈوری اُنکے اندر ہی اندر توڑی نہیں جاتی ؟ وہ مرتے ہیں اور یہ بھی بغیر دانائی کے ۔

4 Thy words H4405 CFP-2MS have upheld H6965 VHY3MP-3FP him that was falling H3782 VQPMS , and thou hast strengthened H553 VPY2MS the feeble H3766 VQPFP knees H1290 W-NFD .

6 Is not H3808 I-NADV this thy fear H3374 , thy confidence H3690 CFS-2MS , thy hope H8615 CFS-2MS , and the uprightness H8537 W-CMS of thy ways H1870 CMP-2MS ?

18 Behold H2005 IJEC , he put no trust H539 VHY3MS in his servants H5650 B-CMP-3MS ; and his angels H4397 WB-CMP-3MS he charged H7760 VQY3MS with folly H8417 NFS :
19 How much less H637 CONJ in them that dwell in H7931 VQCMS houses H1004 CMP of clay H2563 NMS , whose H834 RPRO foundation H3247 CMS-3MP is in the dust H6083 BD-NMS , which are crushed H1792 VPY3MP-3MP before H6440 L-CMP the moth H6211 NMS ?
20 They are destroyed H3807 VOY3MP from morning H1242 M-NMS to evening H6153 LD-NMS : they perish H6 VQY3MP forever H5331 L-NMS without any H1097 M-NPAR regarding H7760 M-ADV it .
21 Doth not H3808 I-NPAR their excellency H3499 CMS-3MP which is in them go away H5265 VNQ3MS ? they die H4191 VQY3MP , even without H3808 W-NPAR wisdom H2451 B-NFS .
