1 اور اُس مُلک میں اُس پہلے کال کے علاوہ جو ابؔرہام کے ایام میں پڑا تھا پھر کال پڑا۔ تب اِضؔحاق جؔرار کو فلستوں کے بادشاہ اؔبی مِلک کے پاس گیا۔

2 اور خُداوند نے اُس پر ظاہر ہو کر کہا کہ مِؔصر کو نہ جا بلکہ جو مُلک میں تجھے بتاؤں اُس میں رہ۔

3 تُو اِسی مُلک میں قیام رکھ اور مَیں تیرے ساتھ رہُونگا اور تجھے برکت بخشُونگا کیونکہ مَیں تجھے اور تیری نسل کو یہ سب مُلک دُونگا۔ اور مَیں اُس قسم کو جو مَیں نے تیرے باپ اؔبرہام سے کھائی پُورا کرونگا۔

4 اور مَیں تیری اَولاد کو بڑھا کر آسمان کے تاروں کی ما نِند کر دُونگا اور یہ سب مُلک تیری نسل کو دُونگا اور زمین کی سب قومیں تیری نسل کے وسیلہ سے برکت پائینگی ۔

5 اِسلئے کہ ابؔرہام نے میری بات مانی اور میری نصیحت اور میرے حُکموں اور قوانین و آئین پر عمل کِیا۔

6 پس اِضؔحاق جؔرار میں رہنے لگا۔

7 اور وہاں کے باشِندوں نے اُس سے اُسکی بیوی کی بابت پُوچھا اُس نے کہا وہ میری بہن ہے کیونکہ وہ اُسے اپنی بیوی بتانے سے ڈرا۔ یہ سوچ کر کہ کہیں رِؔبقہ کے سبب سے وہاں کے لوگ اُسے قتل نہ کر ڈالیں کیونکہ وہ خُوبصورت تھی ۔

8 جب اُسے وہاں رہتے بہت دِن ہوگئے فلستیوں کے بادشاہ ابیؔ مِلک نے کِھڑکی میں جھانک کر نظر کی اور دیکھا کہ اِضؔحاق اپنی بیوی رؔبقہ سے ہنستی کھیل کر رہا ہے ۔

9 تب ابیؔ مِلک نے اِؔضحاق کو بُلا کر کہ کہ وہ تو حقیت میں تیری بیوی ہے ۔ پِھر تُو نے کیونکر اُسے اپنی بہن بتایا؟ اِؔضحاق نے اُس سے کہا اِسلئے کہ مجھے خیال ہوا کہ کہیں مَیں اُسکے سبب سے مارا نہ جاؤں ۔

10 اِبیؔ ملِک نے کہا ہم سے کیا کیا ؟ یوں تو آسانی سے اِن لوگوں میں کوئی تیری بِیوی کے ساتھ مُباشرت کر لیتا اور تُو ہم پر الزام لاتا۔

11 تب اِبیؔ ملِک نے سب لوگوں کو یہ حُکم کیا کہ جو کوئی اِس مرد کو یا اُسکی بیوی کو چُھوئیگا سو مار ڈالا جائیگا ۔

12 اور اِضؔحاق نے اُس مُلک میں کھیتی کی اور اُسی سال اپسے سَوگُنا پھل مِلا اور خُداوند نے اُسے برکت بخشی۔

13 اور وہ بڑھ گیا اور اُسکی ترقی ہوتی گئی یہاں تک کہ وہ بہت بڑا آدمی ہوگیا۔

14 اور اُسکے پاس بھیڑبکریاں اور گائے بَیل اور بہت سے نوکر چاکر تھے اور فِلستیوں کو اُس پر رشک آنے لگا۔

15 اور اُنہوں نے سب کُوئیں جو اُسکے باپ کے نوکروں نے اُسکے باپ اؔبرہام کے وقت میں کھودے تھے بند کر دِئے اور اُنکو مٹی سے بھِر دیا۔

16 اور اِبؔی مِلک نے اِضؔحاق سے کہا کہ تُو ہمارے پاس سے چلا جا کیونکہ تُو ہم سے زیادہ زور آور ہوگیا ہے۔

17 تب اِؔضحاق نے وہاں سے جؔرار کی وادی میں جا کر اپنا ڈیرا لگایا اور وہاں رہنے لگا۔

18 اور اِؔضحاق نے پانی کے اُن کُوؤں کو جو اُسکے باپ اؔبرہام کے ایاّم میں کھو دے گئے تھے پِھر کُدوایا کیونکہ فَلستیوں نے ابؔرہام کے مرنے کے بعد اُنکو بند کر دیا تھا اور اُس نے اپنکے پھر وہی نام رکھّے جو اُسکے باپ نے رکھّے تھے۔

19 اور اِضؔحاق کے نوکروں کو وادی میں کھودتے کھودتے بہتے پانی کا یاک سو تامِل گیا۔

20 تب جؔرار کے چرواہوں نے اِضؔحاق کے چرواہوں سے جھگڑا کیا اور کہنے لگے کہ یہ پانی ہمارا ہے اور اُس نے اُس کوئیں کا نام عِسؔق رکّھا کیونکہ اُنہوں نے اُس سے جھگڑا کِیا ۔

21 اور اُنہوں نے دُوسرا کوُآں کھودا اور اُسکے لِئے بھی وہ جھگڑنے لگے اور اُس نے اُسکا نام سِتؔنہ رکّھا ۔

22 سو وہ وہاں سے دُسوری جگہ چلا گیا اور ایک اَور کُوآں کھودا جِسکے لئِے اُنہوں نے جھگڑا نہ کیا اور اُس نے اُسکا نام رحؔوبوت رکّھا اور کہا کہ اب خُداوند نے ہمارے لئِے جگہ نِکالی اور ہم اِس مُلک میں برومند ہونگے۔

23 وہاں سے وہ بیرؔسبع کو گیا ۔

24 اور خُداوند اُسی رات اُس پر ظاہر ہُوا اور کہا کہ مَیں تیرے باپ ابؔرہام کا خُدا ہوں ۔ مت ڈر کیونکہ میں تیرے ساتھ ہوں اور تجھے برکت دونگا اور اپنے بندہ ابؔرہام کی خاطِر تیری نسل بڑھاؤنگا ۔

25 اور اُس نے وہاں مذبح بنایا اور خُداوند سے دُعا کی اور اپنا ڈیرا وہیں لگا لِیا اور وہاں اِؔضحاق کے نوکروں نے ایک کُوآں کھودا ۔

26 تب اَبی مِلک اپنے دوست اخُورت اور اپنے سپہ سالارفیؔکُل کو ساتھ لیکر جؔرار سے اُسکے پاس گیا ۔

27 اِضؔحاق نے اُن سے کہا کہ تُم میرے پاس کیونکر آئے حالانکہ مجھ سے کینہ رکھتے ہو اور مُجھ کو اپنے پاس سے نِکال دیا۔

28 اُنہوں نے کہا ہم نے خُوب صفائی سے دیکھا کہ خُداوند تیرے ساتھ ہے سو ہم نے کہا کہ ہمارے اور تیرے دریمان قسم ہوجائے اور ہم تیرے ساتھ عید کریں۔

29 کہ جَیسے ہم نے تجھے چُھوا تک نہیں اور سِوا نیکی کے تجھ سے اَور کُچھ نہیں کِیا اور تجھ کو سلامت رُخصت کیا تُو بھی ہم سے کوئی بدی نہ کریگا کیونکہ تُو اب خُداوند کی طرف سے مُبارک ہے ۔

30 تب اُس نے اُنکے لئِے ضِیافت تیار کی اور اُنہوں نے کھایا پیا

31 اور وہ صُبح سویرے اُٹھے اور آپس میں قسم کھائی اور اِضؔحاق نے اُنکو رُخصت کیا اور وہ اُسکے پاس سے سلامت چلے گئے۔

32 اُسی روز اِضؔحاق کے نوکروں نے آکر اُس سے اُس کُوئیں کا ذکر کِیا جسے اُنوں نے کھودا تھا اور کہا کہ ہمکو پانی مِل گیا۔

33 سو اُس نے اُسکا نام سؔبع رکّھا اِسی لئِے وہ شہر آج تک بیرؔ سبع کہلاتا ہے۔

34 جب عؔیسو چالیس برس کا ہُوا تو اُس نے بیؔری ھتی کی بیٹی یؔہودِتھ اور اَؔیلون حتی کی بیتی بشاؔستھ سے بیاہ کیا۔

35 اور وہ اِضؔحاق اور رِؔبقہ کے لئِے وبال جان ہُوئیں ۔

And Isaac ^H3327 went ^H1980 ^W-VQY3MS unto ^H413 ^PREP Abimelech ^H40 king ^H4428 ^NMS of the Philistines ^H6430 ^TMS unto Gerar ^H1642 .

2 And the LORD ^H3068 ^EDS appeared ^H7200 ^W-VNY3MS unto ^H413 ^PREP-3MS him , and said ^H559 ^W-VQY3MS , Go not down ^H3381 into Egypt ^H4714 ^TFS-3FS ; dwell ^H7931 in the land ^H776 ^B-NFS which ^H834 ^RPRO I shall tell ^H559 ^W-VQY3MS thee of ^H413 :

3 Sojourn ^H1481 in this ^H2063 ^D-DFS land ^H776 ^B-NFS , and I will be ^H1961 with ^H5973 ^PREP-2MS thee , and will bless ^H1288 thee ; for ^H3588 ^CONJ unto thee , and unto thy seed ^H2233 ^WL-CMS-2MS , I will give ^H5414 ^VQY1MS all ^H3605 ^NMS these ^H411 countries ^H776 , and I will perform ^H6965 the oath ^H7621 which ^H834 ^RPRO I swore ^H7650 unto Abraham ^H85 thy father ^H1 ;

5 Because ^H6118 that ^H834 ^RPRO Abraham ^H85 obeyed ^H8085 my voice ^H6963 , and kept ^H8104 my charge ^H4931 , my commandments ^H4687 , my statutes ^H2708 , and my laws ^H8451 .

6 And Isaac ^H3327 dwelt ^H3427 ^W-VQY3MS in Gerar ^H1642 :

7 And the men ^H376 ^CMP of the place ^H4725 ^D-NMS asked ^H7592 him of his wife ^H802 ; and he said ^H559 ^W-VQY3MS , She ^H1931 ^PPRO-3FS is my sister ^H269 ^CFS-1MS : for ^H3588 ^CONJ he feared ^H3372 ^VQQ3MS to say ^H559 ^W-VQY3MS , She is my wife ^H802 ^CFS-1MS ; lest ^H6435 ^CONJ , said he , the men ^H376 ^CMP of the place ^H4725 ^D-NMS should kill ^H2026 me for ^H5921 ^PREP Rebekah ^H7259 ; because ^H3588 ^CONJ she ^H1931 was fair ^H2896 to look upon ^H4758 ^NMS .

9 And Abimelech ^H40 called ^H7121 ^W-VQY3MS Isaac ^H3327 , and said ^H559 ^W-VQY3MS , Behold ^H2009 ^IJEC , of a surety ^H389 ^ADV she ^H1931 ^PPRO-3FS is thy wife ^H802 ^CFS-2MS : and how ^H349 ^W-IJEC saidst ^H559 ^W-VQY3MS thou , She ^H1931 ^PPRO-3FS is my sister ^H269 ^CFS-1MS ? 10 And Abimelech ^H40 said ^H559 ^W-VQY3MS , What ^H4100 ^IPRO is this ^H2063 ^DPRO-3FS thou hast done ^H6213 ^VQQ2MS unto us ? one ^H259 of the people ^H5971 might lightly ^H4592 ^K-AMS have lain ^H7901 ^VQQ3MS with ^H854 ^PREP thy wife ^H802 ^CFS-2MS , and thou shouldest have brought ^H935 guiltiness ^H817 upon ^H5921 ^PREP-1MP us .

11 And Abimelech ^H40 charged ^H6680 ^W-VPY3MS all ^H3605 ^NMS his people ^H5971 , saying ^H559 ^L-VQFC , He that toucheth ^H5060 this ^H2088 ^D-PMS man ^H376 or his wife ^H802 shall surely be put to death ^H4191 ^VQFA .

12 Then Isaac ^H3327 sowed ^H2232 in that ^H1931 ^D-PPRO-3FS land ^H776 ^B-NFS , and received ^H4672 ^W-VQY3MS in the same ^H1931 ^D-PPRO-3FS year ^H8141 a hundredfold ^H3967 ^MFS : and the LORD ^H3068 ^NAME-4MS blessed ^H1288 him .

17 And Isaac ^H3327 departed ^H1980 ^W-VQY3MS thence ^H8033 ^M-ADV , and pitched his tent ^H2583 in the valley ^H5158 of Gerar ^H1642 , and dwelt ^H3427 ^W-VQY3MS there ^H8033 ^ADV .

18 And Isaac ^H3327 digged ^H2658 again ^H7725 the wells ^H875 of water ^H4325 ^D-CMS , which ^H834 ^RPRO they had digged ^H2658 in the days ^H3117 ^B-CMP of Abraham ^H85 his father ^H1 ^CMS-3MS ; for the Philistines ^H6430 ^TMS had stopped ^H5640 them after ^H310 ^PREP the death ^H4194 of Abraham ^H85 : and he called ^H7121 ^W-VQY3MS their names ^H8034 ^CFP after the names ^H8034 by which ^H834 ^RPRO his father ^H1 had called ^H7121 ^W-VQY3MS them .

20 And the herdsmen ^H7462 of Gerar ^H1642 did strive ^H7378 with ^H5973 ^PREP Isaac ^H3327 \'s herdsmen ^H7462 , saying ^H559 ^L-VQFC , The water ^H4325 ^D-OMD is ours : and he called ^H7121 ^W-VQY3MS the name ^H8034 of the well ^H875 Esek ^H6230 ; because ^H3588 ^CONJ they strove ^H6229 with ^H5973 ^PREP-3MS him .

21 And they digged ^H2658 another ^H312 well ^H875 , and strove ^H7378 for ^H5921 ^PREP-3FS that also ^H1571 ^CONJ : and he called ^H7121 ^W-VQY3MS the name ^H8034 ^CMS-3FS of it Sitnah ^H7856 .

22 And he removed ^H6275 ^W-VHY3MS from thence ^H8033 ^M-ADV , and digged ^H2658 another ^H312 well ^H875 ; and for ^H5921 ^PREP-3FS that they strove ^H7378 not ^H3808 ^W-NPAR : and he called ^H7121 ^W-VQY3MS the name ^H8034 ^CMS-3FS of it Rehoboth ^H7344 ; and he said ^H559 ^W-VQY3MS , For ^H3588 ^CONJ now ^H6258 ^ADV the LORD ^H3068 ^EDS hath made room ^H7337 for us , and we shall be fruitful ^H6509 in the land ^H776 ^B-GFS .

26 Then Abimelech ^H40 went ^H1980 ^VQQ3MS to ^H413 ^PREP-3MS him from Gerar ^H1642 , and Ahuzzath ^H276 one of his friends ^H4828 , and Phichol ^H6369 the chief captain ^H8269 of his army ^H6635 .

27 And Isaac ^H3327 said ^H559 ^W-VQY3MS unto ^H413 ^PREP-3MS them , Wherefore ^H4069 ^IPRO come ^H935 ye to ^H413 me , seeing ye ^H859 ^W-PPRO-2MP hate ^H8130 me , and have sent me away ^H7971 from ^H4480 you ?

28 And they said ^H559 ^W-VQY3MP , We saw certainly ^H7200 that ^H3588 ^CONJ the LORD ^H3068 ^EDS was ^H1961 ^VQQ3MS with ^H5973 ^PREP-2FS thee : and we said ^H559 , Let there be ^H1961 ^VQI3FS now ^H4994 ^IJEC an oath ^H423 between ^H996 us , even between ^H996 ^PREP-1MP us and thee , and let us make ^H3772 a covenant ^H1285 ^CFS with ^H5973 ^PREP-2FS thee ;

31 And they rose up quickly ^H7925 in the morning ^H1242 , and swore ^H7650 one ^H376 ^NMS to another ^H251 : and Isaac ^H3327 sent them away ^H7971 , and they departed ^H1980 ^W-VQY3MP from him in peace ^H7965 .

32 And it came to pass ^H1961 ^W-VQY3MS the same ^H1931 ^D-PPRO-3MS day ^H3117 ^B-AMS , that Isaac ^H3327 \'s servants ^H5650 came ^H935 ^W-VQY3MP , and told ^H5046 him concerning ^H5921 ^PREP the well ^H875 which ^H834 ^RPRO they had digged ^H2658 , and said ^H559 ^W-VQY3MP unto him , We have found ^H4672 ^VQQ1MP water ^H4325 ^NMP .

33 And he called ^H7121 ^W-VQY3MS it Shebah ^H7656 : therefore ^H3651 ^ADV the name ^H8034 ^CMS of the city ^H5892 ^D-GFS is Beer ^H884 - sheba unto ^H5704 ^PREP this ^H2088 ^D-PMS day ^H3117 ^D-AMS .

34 And Esau ^H6215 was ^H1961 ^W-VQY3MS forty ^H705 ^MMP years ^H8141 ^NFS old ^H1121 when he took ^H3947 ^W-VQY3MS to wife ^H802 ^NFS Judith ^H3067 the daughter ^H1323 ^CFS of Beeri ^H882 the Hittite ^H2850 , and Bashemath ^H1315 the daughter ^H1323 ^CFS of Elon ^H356 the Hittite ^H2850 :

35 Which were ^H1961 a grief ^H4786 of mind ^H7307 ^NFS unto Isaac ^H3327 and to Rebekah ^H7259 .
