Nehemiah 4:23 (URV) Urdu Old BSI Version

1 لیکن اَیسا ہو ا کہ جب سنبلط نے سُنا کہ ہم شہر پناہ بنا رہے ہیں تو جل گیا اور بہت غصہ ہوا اور یہودیوں کو ٹھٹھوں میں اُڑانے لگا۔
2 اور وہ اپنے بھائیوں اور سامریہ کے لشکر کے آگے یوں کہنے لگا کہ یہ کمزور یہودی کیا کر رہے ہیں؟ کیا یہ اپنے گرد مورچہ بندی کر ینگے؟کیا وہ قربانی چڑئینگے ؟ کیا وہ ایک ہی دن میں سب کچھ کر چُکینگے ؟کیا وہ جلے ہوئے پتھروں کو کوڑے کے ڈھیروں میں نکالکر پھر نئے کر وینگے؟۔
3 اور طُوبیاہ عمونی اُسکے پاس کھڑاتھا۔سو وہ کہنے لگا جو کچھ وہ بنا رہے ہیں اگر اُس پر لومڑی چڑھ جائے تو وہ اُنکی پتھر کی شہر پناہ کو گرا دیگی ۔
4 سُن لے اَے ہمارے خداکیونکہ ہماری حقارت ہوتی ہے اور اُنکی ملامت اُن ہی کے سر پر ڈال اور اسیری کے مُلک میں اُنکو غارتگروں کے حوالہ کر دے ۔
5 اور اُنکی بدی کو نہ ڈھانک اور اُنکی خطا تیرے حُضور سے مٹائی نہ جائے کیونکہ اُنہوں نے معماروں کے سامنے تجھے غصہ دلایاہے۔
6 غرض ہم دیوار بناتے رہے اور ساری دیوار آدھی بلندی تک جوڑی گئی کیونکہ لوگ دِل لگا کر کام کرتے تھے ۔
7 پر جب سنبلط اور طوبیاہ اور عربوں اور عمونیو ں اور اشدودیوں نے سُنا کہ یروشیلم کی فصیل مرمت ہوتی جاتی ہے اور دراڑیں بند ہونے لگیں تو وہ جل گئے۔
8 اور سبھوں نے ملکر بندش باندھی کہ آکر یروشیلم سے لڑیں اور وہا ں پریشانی پیدا کر دیں ۔
9 پر ہم نے اپنے خدا سے دُعا کی اُنکے سبب سے دِن اور رات اُنکے مقابلہ میں پہرا بٹھائے رکھا۔
10 اور یہوداہ کہنے لگا کہ بوجھ اُٹھانے والوں کا زور گھٹ گیااور ملبہ بہت ہے ۔ سو ہم دیوار نہیں بنا سکتے ہیں۔
11 اور ہمارے دُشمن کہنے لگے کہ جب تک ہم اُنکے بیچ پہنچکر اُنکو قتل نہ کر ڈالیں اور کام موقوف نہ کر دیں تب تک اُنکو نہ معلوم ہوگا نہ وہ دیکھینگے ۔
12 اور جب وہ یہودی جو اُنکے آس پاس رہتے تھے آئے تو اُنہوں نے سب جگہوں سے دس بار آکر ہم سے کہا کہ تم کو ہمارے پاس سے لوٹ آنا ضرور ہے۔
13 اِسلئے میں نے شہر پناہ کے پیچھے کی جگہ کے سب سے نیچے حصوں میں جہاں جہاں کھلا تھالوگوں کو اپنی اپنی تلوار اور بر چھی اور کمان لئے ہوئے اُنکے گھرانوں کے مطابق بٹھادیا۔
14 تب میں دیکھکر اُٹھا اور اِمیروں اور حاکموں اور باقی لوگوں سے کہا کہ تم اُن سے مت ڈرو خداوند کو جو بُررگ اور مہیب ہے یاد کرو اور اپنے بھائیوں اور بیٹے بیٹیوں اور اپنی بیویوں اور گھروں کے لئے لڑو۔
15 اور جب ہمارے دُشمنوں نے سُنا کہ یہ بات ہم کو معلوم ہوگئی اور خدانے اُنکا منصوبہ باطل کر دیا توہم سب کے سب شہر پناہ کو اپنے اپنے کام پر لوٹے ۔
16 اور اَیسا ہوا کہ اُس دن سے میرے آدھے نوکر کام میں لگ جاتے اور آدھے برچھیاں اور ڈھالیں اور کمانیں لئے اور بکتر پہنے رہتے تھے اور وہ جو حاکم تھے یہوداہ کے سارے خاندان کے پیچھے موجود رہتے تھے ۔
17 سو جو لوگ دیوار بناتے تھے اور جو بوجھ اُٹھاتے اور ڈھوتے تھے ہر ایک اپنے ایک ہاتھ سے کام کرتاتھااور دوسرے میں اپنا ہتھیار لئے رہتا تھا۔
18 اور معماروں میں سے ہر ایک آدمی اپنی تلوار اپنی کمر سے باندھے ہوئے کام کرتا تھا اور وہ جو نرسنگاپُھونکتا تھا میرے پاس رہتاتھا۔
19 اور میں نے اِمیروں اور حاکموں اور باقی لوگوں سے کہا کہ کام تو بڑا اور پھیلا ہو ا ہے اور ہم دیوار پر الگ الگ ایک دوسرے سے دُور رہتے ہیں۔
20 سوجدھر سے نرسنگاتم کوسُنائی دے اُدھر ہی تم ہمارے پاس چلے آنا۔ہمارا خدا ہمارے لئے لڑ یگا۔
21 یوں ہم کام کرتے رہے اور اُن میں سے آدھے لوگ پوپھٹنے کے وقت سے تاروں کے دکھائی دینے تک برچھیاں لئے رہتے تھے۔
22 اور میں نے اُسی موقع پر لوگوں سے یہ بھی کہہ دیا تھا کہ ہر شخص اپنے نوکر کو لیکر یروشیلم میں رات کاٹا کرے تاکہ رات کو وہ ہمارے لئے پہرا دیا کریں اور دن کو کام کریں۔
23 سو نہ تو میں نہ میر ے بھائی نہ میرے نوکر اور نہ پہرے کے لوگ جو میرے پیرو تھے کبھی اپنے کپڑے اُتارتے تھے بلکہ ہر شخص اپنا ہتھیار لئے ہوئے پانی کے پاس جاتاتھا۔
1 But it came to pass H1961 W-VQY3MS , that when H834 RPRO Sanballat H5571 heard H8085 that H3588 CONJ we H587 PPRO-1MP built H1129 the wall H2346 , he was wroth H2734 W-VQY3MS , and took great indignation H3707 , and mocked H3932 the Jews H3064 .
2 And he spoke H559 W-VQY3MS before H6440 L-CMP his brethren H251 NMP-3MS and the army H2428 of Samaria H8111 , and said H559 W-VQY3MS , What H4100 IGAT do H6213 these feeble H537 Jews H3064 ? will they fortify H5800 themselves ? will they sacrifice H2076 ? will they make an end H3615 in a day H3117 ? will they revive H2421 the stones H68 out of the heaps H6194 of the rubbish H6083 which H1992 are burned H8313 ?
3 Now Tobiah H2900 the Ammonite H5984 was by H681 him , and he said H559 W-VQY3MS , Even H1571 CONJ that which H834 RPRO they H1992 PPRO-3MP build H1129 , if H518 PART a fox H7776 go up H5927 VQY3MS , he shall even break down H6555 their stone H68 wall H2346 .
4 Hear H8085 VQI2MS , O our God H430 ; for H3588 CONJ we are H1961 despised H939 : and turn H7725 their reproach H2781 upon H413 PREP their own head H7218 , and give H5414 them for a prey H961 in the land H776 B-GFS of captivity H7633 :
5 And cover H3680 not H408 W-NPAR their iniquity H5771 , and let not H408 W-NPAR their sin H2403 be blotted out H4229 from before H6440 L-CMP thee : for H3588 CONJ they have provoked thee to anger H3707 before H5048 L-PREP the builders H1129 .
6 So built H1129 we the wall H2346 ; and all H3605 NMS the wall H2346 was joined together H7194 unto H5704 PREP the half H2677 thereof : for the people H5971 had H1961 W-VQY3MS a mind H3820 NMS to work H6213 .
7 But it came to pass H1961 W-VQY3MS , that when H834 Sanballat H5571 , and Tobiah H2900 , and the Arabians H6163 , and the Ammonites H5984 , and the Ashdodites H796 , heard H8085 that H3588 CONJ the walls H2346 of Jerusalem H3389 were made up H5927 VQQ3FS , and that H3588 CONJ the breaches H6555 began H2490 to be stopped H5640 , then they were very H3966 ADV wroth H2734 W-VQY3MS ,
8 And conspired H7194 all H3605 of them together H3162 ADV-3MS to come H935 L-VQFC and to fight H3898 against Jerusalem H3389 , and to hinder H6213 it .
9 Nevertheless we made our prayer H6419 unto H413 PREP our God H430 , and set H5975 a watch H4929 against H5921 PREP-3MP them day H3119 ADV and night H3915 W-NMS , because of them .
10 And Judah H3063 said H559 W-VQY3MS , The strength H3581 CMS of the bearers of burdens H5449 is decayed H3782 , and there is much H7235 VHFA rubbish H6083 ; so that we H587 are not H3808 NADV able H3201 to build H1129 the wall H2346 .
11 And our adversaries H6862 said H559 W-VQY3MP , They shall not H3808 NADV know H3045 , neither H3808 W-NADV see H7200 VQY3MP , till H5704 PREP we come H935 VNQ3MS in H413 PREP the midst among H8432 them , and slay H2026 them , and cause the work H4399 to cease H7673 .
12 And it came to pass H1961 W-VPY3MS , that when H834 RPRO the Jews H3064 which dwelt H3427 by H681 them came H935 VQQ3MP , they said H559 W-VQY3MP unto us ten H6235 MFS times H6471 NFP , From all H3605 M-CMS places H4725 whence H834 RPRO ye shall return H7725 VQY2MP unto H5921 us they will be upon you .
13 Therefore set H5975 I in the lower H8482 places H4725 behind H310 the wall H2346 , and on the higher places H6706 , I even set H5975 the people H5971 after their families H4940 with H5973 PREP their swords H2719 , their spears H7420 , and their bows H7198 .
14 And I looked H7200 , and rose up H6965 , and said H559 W-VQY1MS unto H413 PREP the nobles H2715 , and to H413 PREP the rulers H5461 , and to H413 PREP the rest H3499 of the people H5971 , Be not H408 NPAR ye afraid H3372 of M-CMP-3MP them : remember H2142 the Lord H136 EDS , which is great H1419 D-AMS and terrible H3372 , and fight H3898 for H5921 PREP your brethren H251 , your sons H1121 , and your daughters H1323 , your wives H802 , and your houses H1004 .
15 And it came to pass H1961 W-VQY3MS , when H834 our enemies H341 heard H8085 VQQ3MP that H3588 CONJ it was known H3045 unto us , and God H430 D-EDP had brought their counsel to naught H6565 , that we returned H7725 all H3605 of us to H413 PREP the wall H2346 , every one H376 NMS unto H413 PREP his work H4399 .
16 And it came to pass H1961 W-VQY3MS from H4480 PREP that H1931 D-PPRO-3MS time H3117 D-AMS forth , that the half H2677 of my servants H5288 wrought H6213 in the work H4399 , and the other half H2677 of them held H2388 both the spears H7420 , the shields H4043 , and the bows H7198 , and the habergeons H8302 ; and the rulers H8269 were behind H310 PREP all H3605 NMS the house H1004 CMS of Judah H3063 .
17 They which built H1129 on the wall H2346 , and they that bore H5375 burdens H5447 , with those that laded H6006 , every one with one H259 B-RFS of his hands H3027 CFS-3MS wrought H6213 VQPMS in the work H4399 , and with the other H259 hand held H2388 a weapon H7973 .
18 For the builders H1129 , every one H376 NMS had his sword H2719 girded H631 VWPMP by H5921 PREP his side H4975 , and so built H1129 . And he that sounded H8628 the trumpet H7782 was by H681 me .
19 And I said H559 W-VQY1MS unto H413 PREP the nobles H2715 , and to H413 PREP the rulers H5461 , and to H413 PREP the rest H3499 of the people H5971 , The work H4399 is great H7235 VHFA and large H7342 W-AFS , and we H587 are separated H6504 upon H5921 PREP the wall H2346 , one H376 NMS far H7350 from another H251 .
20 In what H834 RPRO place H4725 B-CMS therefore ye hear H8085 the sound H6963 CMS of the trumpet H7782 , resort H6908 ye thither H8033 ADV-3FS unto H413 us : our God H430 shall fight H3898 for us .
21 So we H587 labored H6213 in the work H4399 : and half H2677 of them held H2388 the spears H7420 from the rising H5927 of the morning H7837 D-NMS till H5704 PREP the stars H3556 D-AMP appeared H3318 .
22 Likewise H1571 CONJ at the same H1931 time H6256 said H559 VQQ1MS I unto the people H5971 , Let every one H376 NMS with his servant H5288 lodge H3885 VQY3MP within H8432 B-NMS Jerusalem H3389 , that in the night H3915 D-AMS they may be H1961 a guard H4929 to us , and labor H4399 on the day H3117 .
23 So neither H369 W-NPAR I H589 PPRO-1MS , nor my brethren H251 , nor my servants H5288 , nor the men H376 NMS of the guard H4929 which H834 RPRO followed H310 me , none H369 NPAR of us H587 PPRO-1MP put off H6584 our clothes H899 , saving that every one H376 NMS put them off H7971 for washing H4325 D-OMD .
