Ezekiel 47 (WEB) World English Bible

1 He brought me back to the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward; (for the forefront of the house was toward the east;) and the waters came down from under, from the right side of the house, on the south of the altar.
2 Then he brought me out by the way of the gate northward, and led me round by the way outside to the outer gate, by the way of the gate that looks toward the east; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.
3 When the man went forth eastward with the line in his hand, he measured one thousand cubits, and he caused me to pass through the waters, waters that were to the ankles.
4 Again he measured one thousand, and caused me to pass through the waters, waters that were to the knees. Again he measured one thousand, and caused me to pass through the waters, waters that were to the loins.
5 Afterward he measured one thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass through; for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed through.
6 He said to me, Son of man, have you seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the bank of the river.
7 Now when I had returned, behold, on the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.
8 Then said he to me, These waters issue forth toward the eastern region, and shall go down into the Arabah; and they shall go toward the sea; into the sea shall the waters go which were made to issue forth; and the waters shall be healed.
9 It shall happen, that every living creature which swarms, in every place where the rivers come, shall live; and there shall be a very great multitude of fish; for these waters are come there, and the waters of the sea shall be healed, and everything shall live wherever the river comes.
10 It shall happen, that fishermen shall stand by it: from En Gedi even to En Eglaim shall be a place for the spreading of nets; their fish shall be after their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.
11 But the miry places of it, and the marshes of it, shall not be healed; they shall be given up to salt.
12 By the river on the bank of it, on this side and on that side, shall grow every tree for food, whose leaf shall not wither, neither shall the fruit of it fail: it shall bring forth new fruit every month, because the waters of it issue out of the sanctuary; and the fruit of it shall be for food, and the leaf of it for healing.
13 Thus says the Lord Yahweh: This shall be the border, by which you shall divide the land for inheritance according to the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph shall have two portions.
14 You shall inherit it, one as well as another; for I swore to give it to your fathers: and this land shall fall to you for inheritance.
15 This shall be the border of the land: On the north side, from the great sea, by the way of Hethlon, to the entrance of Zedad;
16 Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim, which is between the border of Damascus and the border of Hamath; Hazer Hatticon, which is by the border of Hauran.
17 The border from the sea, shall be Hazar Enon at the border of Damascus; and on the north northward is the border of Hamath. This is the north side.
18 The east side, between Hauran and Damascus and Gilead, and the land of Israel, shall be the Jordan; from the north border to the east sea shall you measure. This is the east side.
19 The south side southward shall be from Tamar as far as the waters of Meriboth Kadesh, to the brook of Egypt, to the great sea. This is the south side southward.
20 The west side shall be the great sea, from the south border as far as over against the entrance of Hamath. This is the west side.
21 So shall you divide this land to you according to the tribes of Israel.
22 It shall happen, that you shall divide it by lot for an inheritance to you and to the strangers who sojourn among you, who shall father children among you; and they shall be to you as the home-born among the children of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.
23 It shall happen, that in what tribe the stranger sojourns, there shall you give him his inheritance, says the Lord Yahweh.
1 Afterward he brought me again H7725 unto H413 PREP the door H6607 CMS of the house H1004 D-NMS ; and , behold H2009 IJEC , waters H4325 OMD issued out H3318 from under H8478 M-CFS the threshold H4670 of the house H1004 D-NMS eastward H6921 : for H3588 CONJ the forefront H6440 CMP of the house H1004 D-NMS stood toward the east H6921 NMP , and the waters H4325 OMD came down H3381 from under H8478 M-CFS from the right side H3802 of the house H1004 D-NMS , at the south H5045 M-EFS side of the altar H4196 .
2 Then brought he me out H3318 of the way H1870 NMS of the gate H8179 NMS northward H6828 , and led me about H5437 the way H1870 NMS without H2351 unto H413 PREP the utter H2351 gate H8179 NMS by the way H1870 NMS that looketh H6437 eastward H6921 NMP ; and , behold H2009 IJEC , there ran out H6379 waters H4325 OMD on H4480 PREP the right H3233 side H3802 .
3 And when the man H376 D-NMS that had the line H6957 in his hand H3027 B-CFS-3MS went forth H3318 eastward H6921 NMP , he measured H4058 a thousand H505 W-BMS cubits H520 , and he brought H5674 me through the waters H4325 ; the waters H4325 were to the ankles H657 .
4 Again he measured H4058 a thousand H505 W-BMS , and brought H5674 me through the waters H4325 OMD ; the waters H4325 OMD were to the knees H1290 . Again he measured H4058 a thousand H505 W-BMS , and brought me through ; the waters H4325 OMD were to the loins H4975 .
5 Afterward he measured H4058 a thousand H505 W-BMS ; and it was a river H5158 NMS that H834 RPRO I could H3201 not H3808 ADV pass over H5674 : for H3588 CONJ the waters H4325 D-CMS were risen H1342 , waters H4325 D-CMS to swim in H7813 , a river H5158 NMS that H834 RPRO could not H3808 ADV be passed over H5674 .
6 And he said H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP-1MS me , Son H1121 CMS of man H120 NMS , hast thou seen H7200 this ? Then he brought H1980 me , and caused me to return H7725 to the brink H8193 CFS of the river H5158 .
7 Now when I had returned H7725 , behold H2009 IJEC , at H413 PREP the bank H8193 CFS of the river H5158 were very H3966 ADV many H7227 AMS trees H6086 NMS on the one side H2088 M-DPRO and on the other H2088 .
8 Then said H559 W-VQY3MS he unto H413 PREP me , These H428 D-DPRO-3MP waters H4325 D-CMS issue out H3318 toward H413 PREP the east H6930 country H1552 , and go down H3381 into H5921 PREP the desert H6160 , and go into H935 the sea H3220 : which being brought forth H3318 into H413 PREP the sea H3220 , the waters H4325 D-CMS shall be healed H7495 .
9 And it shall come to pass H1961 W-VQQ3MS , that every H3605 NMS thing H5315 GFS that liveth H2416 AFS , which H834 RPRO moveth H8317 , whithersoever H3605 NMS the rivers H5158 shall come H935 VQQ3MP , shall live H2421 : and there shall be H1961 W-VQQ3MS a very H3966 ADV great H7227 AFS multitude of fish H1710 , because H3588 CONJ these H428 D-DPRO-3MP waters H4325 D-CMS shall come H935 VQQ3MP thither H8033 ADV : for they shall be healed H7495 ; and every thing H3605 NMS shall live H2416 AFS whither H834 RPRO the river H5158 cometh H935 VQQ3MP .
10 And it shall come to pass H1961 W-VQQ3MS , that the fishers H1728 shall stand H5975 upon H5921 PREP-3MS it from En H5872 - gedi even unto H5704 W-PREP Eneglaim H5882 ; they shall be H1961 W-VQQ3MS a place to spread forth H4894 nets H2764 ; their fish H1710 shall be H1961 W-VQQ3MS according to their kinds H4327 , as the fish H1710 of the great H1419 D-AMS sea H3220 D-NMS , exceeding H3966 ADV many H7227 AFS .
11 But the miry places H1207 thereof and the marshes H1360 thereof shall not H3808 W-NPAR be healed H7495 ; they shall be given H5414 VNQ3MP to salt H4417 .
12 And by H5921 PREP the river H5158 upon H5921 PREP the bank H8193 thereof , on this side H2088 M-DPRO and on that side H2088 , shall grow H5927 VQY3MS all H3605 NMS trees H6086 NMS for meat H3978 , whose leaf H5929 shall not H3808 NADV fade H5034 VQY3MS , neither H3808 ADV shall the fruit H6529 NMS-3MS thereof be consumed H8552 : it shall bring forth new fruit H1069 according to his months H2320 , because H3588 CONJ their waters H4325 they H1992 PPRO-3MP issued out H3318 of H4480 PREP the sanctuary H4720 : and the fruit H6529 NMS-3MS thereof shall be H1961 for meat H3978 , and the leaf H5929 thereof for medicine H8644 .
13 Thus H3541 saith H559 VQQ3MS the Lord H136 EDS GOD H3069 ; This H1454 shall be the border H1366 , whereby H834 RPRO ye shall inherit H5157 the land H776 D-GFS according to the twelve H8147 tribes H7626 of Israel H3478 : Joseph H3130 shall have two portions H2256 .
14 And ye shall inherit H5157 it , one H376 NMS as well as another H251 : concerning the which H834 RPRO I lifted up H5375 VQQ1MS mine hand H3027 CFS-1MS to give H5414 it unto your fathers H1 : and this H2063 D-DFS land H776 D-GFS shall fall H5307 unto you for inheritance H5159 .
15 And this H2088 W-PMS shall be the border H1366 CMS of the land H776 D-GFS toward the north H6828 side H6285 , from H4480 PREP the great H1419 D-AMS sea H3220 D-NMS , the way H1870 D-NMS of Hethlon H2855 , as men go H935 to Zedad H6657 ;
16 Hamath H2574 , Berothah H1268 , Sibraim H5453 , which H834 RPRO is between H996 PREP the border H1366 CMS of Damascus H1834 and the border H1366 CMS of Hamath H2574 ; Hazarhatticon H2694 , which H834 RPRO is by H413 PREP the coast H1366 CMS of Hauran H2362 .
17 And the border H1366 from H4480 PREP the sea H3220 D-NMS shall be H1961 W-VQQ3MS Hazar H2703 - enan , the border H1366 CMS of Damascus H1834 , and the north H6828 northward H6828 , and the border H1366 of Hamath H2574 . And this is the north H6828 side H6285 .
18 And the east H6921 NMP side H6285 ye shall measure H4058 from Hauran H2362 , and from Damascus H1834 , and from Gilead H1568 , and from the land H776 GFS of Israel H3478 by Jordan H3383 D-EFS , from the border H1366 unto H5921 PREP the east H6931 sea H3220 D-NMS . And this is the east H6921 side H6285 .
19 And the south H5045 side H6285 southward H8486 , from Tamar H8559 even to H5704 PREP the waters H4325 of strife H4809 in Kadesh H6946 LFS , the river H5158 to H413 PREP the great H1419 D-AMS sea H3220 D-NMS . And this is the south H8486 side H6285 southward H5045 .
20 The west H3220 NMS side H6285 also shall be the great H1419 D-AMS sea H3220 D-NMS from the border H1366 , till H5704 PREP a man come H935 over against H5227 Hamath H2574 . This H2063 DPRO is the west H3220 NMS side H6285 .
21 So shall ye divide H2505 this H2063 D-DFS land H776 D-GFS unto you according to the tribes H7626 of Israel H3478 LMS .
22 And it shall come to pass H1961 W-VQQ3MS , that ye shall divide it by lot H5307 for an inheritance H5159 unto you , and to the strangers H1616 that sojourn H1481 among H8432 B-NMS you , which H834 RPRO shall beget H3205 children H1121 NMP among H8432 B-NMS you : and they shall be H1961 W-VQQ3MS unto you as born in the country H249 among the children H1121 of Israel H3478 ; they shall have H5307 inheritance H5159 with H854 PART-2MP you among H8432 B-NMS the tribes H7626 of Israel H3478 LMS .
23 And it shall come to pass H1961 W-VQQ3MS , that in what H834 RPRO tribe H7626 the stranger H1616 sojourneth H1481 VQPMS , there H854 PREP-3MS shall ye give H5414 him his inheritance H5159 , saith H5002 the Lord H136 EDS GOD H3069 .
