Ezekiel 42:18 (YLT) Young's Literal Translation

1 And he bringeth me forth unto the outer court, the way northward, and he bringeth me in unto the chamber that is over-against the separate place, and that is over-against the building at the north.
2 At the front of the length is a hundred cubits at the north opening, and the breadth fifty cubits.
3 Over-against the twenty cubits that are to the inner court, and over-against the pavement that is to the outer court, is gallery over-against gallery, in the three storeys.
4 And at the front of the chambers is a walk of ten cubits in breadth unto the inner part, a way of one cubit, and their openings are at the north.
5 And the upper chambers are short, for the galleries contain more than these, than the lower, and than the middle one, of the building;
6 for they are threefold, and they have no pillars as the pillars of the court, therefore it hath been kept back -- more than the lower and than the middle one -- from the ground.
7 As to the wall that is at the outside, over-against the chambers, the way of the outer-court at the front of the chambers, its length is fifty cubits;
8 for the length of the chambers that are to the outer court is fifty cubits, and of those on the front of the temple a hundred cubits.
9 And under these chambers is the entrance from the east, in one's going into them from the outer court.
10 In the breadth of the wall of the court eastward, unto the front of the separate place, and unto the front of the building, are chambers.
11 And the way before them is as the appearance of the chambers that are northward, according to their length so is their breadth, and all their outlets, and according to their fashions, and according to their openings.
12 And according to the openings of the chambers that are southward is an opening at the head of the way, the way directly in the front of the wall eastward in entering them.
13 And he saith unto me, `The north chambers, the south chambers, that are at the front of the separate place, they are holy chambers, where the priests (who are near to Jehovah) eat the most holy things, there they place the most holy things, and the present, and the sin-offering, and the guilt-offering, for the place is holy.
14 In the priests` going in, they come not out from the sanctuary unto the outer court, and there they place their garments with which they minister, for they are holy, and have put on other garments, and have drawn near unto that which is for the people.`
15 And he hath finished the measurements of the inner house, and hath brought me forth the way of the gate whose front is eastward, and he hath measured it all round about.
16 He hath measured the east side with the measuring-reed, five hundred reeds, with the measuring-reed round about.
17 He hath measured the north side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about.
18 The south side he hath measured, five hundred reeds, with the measuring-reed.
19 He hath turned round unto the west side, he hath measured five hundred reeds with the measuring-reed.
20 At the four sides he hath measured it, a wall is to it all round about, the length five hundred, and the breadth five hundred, to separate between the holy and the profane place.

2 Before H413 PREP the length H753 CMS of a hundred H3967 cubits H520 was the north H6828 door H6607 CMS , and the breadth H7341 was fifty H2572 MMP cubits H520 .
3 Over against H5048 the twenty H6242 cubits which H834 RPRO were for the inner H6442 court H2691 , and , over against H5048 the pavement H7531 which H834 RPRO was for the utter H2435 court H2691 , was gallery H862 against H413 PREP gallery H862 in three H7992 stories .
4 And before H6440 WL-CMP the chambers H3957 was a walk H4109 CMS of ten H6235 MFS cubits H520 breadth H7341 inward H6442 , a way H1870 NMS of one H259 MFS cubit H520 UFS ; and their doors H6607 toward the north H6828 .
5 Now the upper H5945 chambers H3957 were shorter H7114 : for H3588 CONJ the galleries H862 were higher H3201 than these H2007 , than the lower H8481 , and than the middlemost H8484 of the building H1146 .
6 For H3588 CONJ they H2007 PPRO-3FP were in three H8027 stories , but had not H369 W-NPAR pillars H5982 as the pillars H5982 of the courts H2691 : therefore H3651 ADV the building was straitened H680 more than the lowest H8481 and the middlemost H8484 from the ground H776 .
7 And the wall H1447 that H834 RPRO was without H2351 over against H5980 the chambers H3957 , toward H1870 NMS the utter H2435 court H2691 on H413 PREP the forepart H6440 CMP of the chambers H3957 , the length H753 thereof was fifty H2572 MMP cubits H520 .
8 For H3588 CONJ the length H753 CMS of the chambers H3957 that H834 RPRO were in the utter H2435 court H2691 was fifty H2572 MMP cubits H520 UFS : and , lo H2009 IJEC , before H5921 PREP the temple H1964 were a hundred H3967 MFS cubits H520 .
9 And from under H8478 these H428 D-DPRO-3MP chambers H3957 was the entry H3996 on the east side H6921 , as one goeth H935 into them H2007 from the utter court H2691 .
10 The chambers H3957 were in the thickness H7341 of the wall H1444 of the court H2691 toward H1870 NMS the east H6921 , over against H413 PREP the separate place H1508 , and over against H413 PREP the building H1146 .
11 And the way H1870 W-NMS before H6440 L-CMP-3MP them was like the appearance H4758 of the chambers H3957 which H834 RPRO were toward H1870 W-NMS the north H6828 , as long H753 as they , and as H3651 ADV broad H7341 as they : and all H3605 W-CMS their goings out H4161 were both according to their fashions H4941 , and according to their doors H6607 .
12 And according to the doors H6607 of the chambers H3957 that H834 RPRO were toward H1870 NMS the south H1864 was a door H6607 CMS in the head H7218 B-NMS of the way H1870 NMS , even the way H1870 NMS directly H1903 before H6440 the wall H1448 toward H1870 NMS the east H6921 , as one entereth H935 into them .
13 Then said H559 W-VQY3MS he unto H413 PREP me , The north H6828 chambers H3957 and the south H1864 chambers H3957 , which H834 RPRO are before H413 PREP the separate place H1508 , they H2007 PPRO-3FP be holy H6944 chambers H3957 , where H834 RPRO the priests H3548 that H834 RPRO approach H7138 unto the LORD H3068 L-EDS shall eat H398 the most holy things H6944 : there H8033 ADV shall they lay H5117 the most holy things H6944 , and the meat offering H4503 , and the sin offering H2403 , and the trespass offering H817 ; for H3588 CONJ the place H4725 D-NMS is holy H6918 .
14 When the priests H3548 enter H935 therein , then shall they not H3808 W-NPAR go out H3318 of the holy H6944 place into H413 PREP the utter H2435 court H2691 , but there H8033 W-ADV they shall lay H5117 their garments H899 wherein H834 RPRO they minister H8334 ; for H3588 CONJ they H2007 PPRO-3FP are holy H6944 ; and shall put on H3847 other H312 AMP garments H899 , and shall approach H7126 to H413 PREP those things which H834 RPRO are for the people H5971 .
15 Now when he had made an end H3615 of measuring H4060 the inner H6442 house H1004 D-NMS , he brought me forth H3318 toward H1870 NMS the gate H8179 whose H834 RPRO prospect H6440 CMP-3MS is toward H1870 NMS the east H6921 , and measured H4058 it round about H5439 ADV .
16 He measured H4058 the east H6921 side H7307 NFS with the measuring H4060 reed H7070 , five H2568 BFS hundred H3967 reeds H7070 , with the measuring H4060 reed H7070 round about H5439 .
17 He measured H4058 the north H6828 side H7307 NFS , five H2568 BFS hundred H3967 BFP reeds H7070 , with the measuring H4060 reed H7070 round about H5439 .
18 He measured H4058 the south H1864 side H7307 NFS , five H2568 BFS hundred H3967 BFP reeds H7070 , with the measuring H4060 reed H7070 .
19 He turned about H5437 to H413 PREP the west H3220 D-NMS side H7307 NFS , and measured H4058 five H2568 BFS hundred H3967 BFP reeds H7070 with the measuring H4060 reed H7070 .
20 He measured H4058 it by the four H702 L-NUM sides H7307 CFP : it had a wall H2346 round about H5439 ADV , five H2568 BFS hundred H3967 BFP reeds long H753 CMS , and five H2568 BFS hundred H3967 BFP broad H7341 W-CMS , to make a separation H914 L-VHFC between H996 PREP the sanctuary H6944 and the profane place H2455 .
