Numbers 2:9 (YLT) Young's Literal Translation

1 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, and unto Aaron, saying,
2 `Each by his standard, with ensigns of the house of their fathers, do the sons of Israel encamp; over-against round about the tent of meeting they encamp.`
3 And those encamping eastward towards the sun-rising, are of the standard of the camp of Judah, by their hosts; and the prince of the sons of Judah is Nahshon, son of Amminadab;
4 and his host, and their numbered ones, are four and seventy thousand and six hundred.
5 And those encamping by him are of the tribe of Issachar; and the prince of the sons of Issachar is Nethaneel son of Zuar;
6 and his host, and its numbered ones, are four and fifty thousand and four hundred.
7 The tribe of Zebulun; and the prince of the sons of Zebulun is Eliab son of Helon;
8 and his host, and its numbered ones, are seven and fifty thousand and four hundred;
9 all those numbered of the camp of Judah are a hundred thousand, and eighty thousand, and six thousand, and four hundred, by their hosts; they journey first.
10 The standard of the camp of Reuben is southward, by their hosts; and the prince of the sons of Reuben is Elizur son of Shedeur;
11 and his host, and its numbered ones, are six and forty thousand and five hundred.
12 And those encamping by him are of the tribe of Simeon; and the prince of the sons of Simeon is Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai;
13 and his host, and their numbered ones, are nine and fifty thousand and three hundred.
14 And the tribe of Gad; and the prince of the sons of Gad is Eliasaph son of Reuel;
15 and his host, and their numbered ones, are five and forty thousand and six hundred and fifty.
16 All those numbered of the camp of Reuben are a hundred thousand, and one and fifty thousand, and four hundred and fifty, by their hosts; and they journey second.
17 And the tent of meeting -- the camp of the Levites -- hath journeyed in the midst of the camps; as they encamp so they journey, each at his station by their standards.
18 The standard of the camp of Ephraim, by their hosts, is westward; and the prince of the sons of Ephraim is Elishama son of Ammihud;
19 and his host, and their numbered ones, are forty thousand and five hundred.
20 And by him is the tribe of Manasseh; and the prince of the sons of Manasseh is Gamaliel son of Pedahzur;
21 and his host, and their numbered ones, are two and thirty thousand, and two hundred.
22 And the tribe of Benjamin; and the prince of the sons of Benjamin is Abidan son of Gideoni;
23 and his host, and their numbered ones, are five and thirty thousand and four hundred.
24 All those numbered of the camp of Ephraim are a hundred thousand, and eight thousand, and a hundred, by their hosts; and they journey third.
25 The standard of the camp of Dan is northward, by their hosts; and the prince of the sons of Dan is Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai;
26 and his host, and their numbered ones, are two and sixty thousand and seven hundred.
27 And those encamping by him are of the tribe of Asher; and the prince of the sons of Asher is Pagiel son of Ocran;
28 and his host, and their numbered ones, are one and forty thousand and five hundred.
29 And the tribe of Naphtali; and the prince of the sons of Naphtali is Ahira son of Enan;
30 and his host, and their numbered ones, are three and fifty thousand and four hundred.
31 All those numbered of the camp of Dan are a hundred thousand, and seven and fifty thousand, and six hundred; at the rear they journey, by their standards.
32 These are those numbered of the sons of Israel by the house of their fathers; all those numbered of the camps by their hosts are six hundred thousand, and three thousand, and five hundred and fifty.
33 And the Levites have not numbered themselves in the midst of the sons of Israel, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.
34 And the sons of Israel do according to all that Jehovah hath commanded Moses; so they have encamped by their standards, and so they have journeyed; each by his families, by the house of his fathers.
1 And the LORD H3068 EDS spoke H1696 W-VPY3MS unto H413 PREP Moses H4872 and unto H413 PREP Aaron H175 , saying H559 L-VQFC ,
2 Every man H376 NMS of the children H1121 of Israel H3478 shall pitch H2583 by H5921 PREP his own standard H1714 , with the ensign H226 of their father H1 \'s house H1004 : far off H5048 M-PREP about H5439 ADV the tabernacle H168 of the congregation H4150 NMS shall they pitch H2583 .
3 And on the east side H6924 toward the rising of the sun H4217 shall they of the standard H1714 of the camp H4264 of Judah H3063 pitch H2583 throughout their armies H6635 : and Nahshon H5177 the son H1121 L-CMP of Amminadab H5992 shall be captain H5387 of the children H1121 L-CMP of Judah H3063 .
4 And his host H6635 , and those that were numbered H6485 of them , were threescore and fourteen H702 MMS thousand H505 W-BMS and six H8337 W-RFS hundred H3967 .
5 And those that do pitch H2583 next unto H5921 PREP-3MS him shall be the tribe H4294 of Issachar H3485 : and Nethaneel H5417 the son H1121 L-CMP of Zuar H6686 shall be captain H5387 of the children H1121 L-CMP of Issachar H3485 .
6 And his host H6635 , and those that were numbered H6485 thereof , were fifty H2572 W-MMP and four H702 MMS thousand H505 W-BMS and four H702 W-BFS hundred H3967 .
7 Then the tribe H4294 of Zebulun H2074 : and Eliab H446 the son H1121 L-CMP of Helon H2497 shall be captain H5387 of the children H1121 L-CMP of Zebulun H2074 .
8 And his host H6635 , and those that were numbered H6485 thereof , were fifty H2572 W-MMP and seven H7651 NUM-MS thousand H505 W-BMS and four H702 W-BFS hundred H3967 .
9 All H3605 CMS that were numbered H6485 in the camp H4264 of Judah H3063 were a hundred H3967 BFS thousand H505 W-BMS and fourscore H8084 W-MMP thousand H505 W-BMS and six H8337 thousand H505 MMP and four H702 W-BFS hundred H3967 BFP , throughout their armies H6635 . These shall first H7223 set forth H5265 .
10 On the south side H8486 shall be the standard H1714 of the camp H4264 of Reuben H7205 according to their armies H6635 : and the captain H5387 of the children H1121 L-CMP of Reuben H7205 shall be Elizur H468 the son H1121 L-CMP of Shedeur H7707 .
11 And his host H6635 , and those that were numbered H6485 thereof , were forty H705 W-MMP and six H8337 thousand H505 W-BMS and five H2568 W-BFS hundred H3967 .
12 And those which pitch H2583 by H5921 PREP-3MS him shall be the tribe H4294 of Simeon H8095 : and the captain H5387 of the children H1121 L-CMP of Simeon H8095 shall be Shelumiel H8017 the son H1121 L-CMP of Zurishaddai H6701 .
13 And his host H6635 , and those that were numbered H6485 of them , were fifty H2572 W-MMP and nine H8672 thousand H505 W-BMS and three H7969 W-BFS hundred H3967 .
14 Then the tribe H4294 of Gad H1410 : and the captain H5387 of the sons H1121 L-CMP of Gad H1410 shall be Eliasaph H460 the son H1121 L-CMP of Reuel H7467 .
15 And his host H6635 , and those that were numbered H6485 of them , were forty H705 W-MMP and five H2568 thousand H505 W-BMS and six H8337 W-RFS hundred H3967 BFP and fifty H2572 .
16 All H3605 CMS that were numbered H6485 in the camp H4264 of Reuben H7205 were a hundred H3967 BFS thousand H505 W-BMS and fifty H2572 W-MMP and one H259 thousand H505 W-BMS and four H702 W-BFS hundred H3967 BFP and fifty H2572 W-MMP , throughout their armies H6635 . And they shall set forth H5265 in the second H8145 rank .
17 Then the tabernacle H168 of the congregation H4150 NMS shall set forward H5265 with the camp H4264 of the Levites H3881 in the midst H8432 B-NMS of the camp H4264 : as H834 K-RPRO they encamp H2583 , so H3651 ADV shall they set forward H5265 , every man H376 NMS in H5921 PREP his place H3027 CFS-3MS by their standards H1714 .
18 On the west side H3220 shall be the standard H1714 of the camp H4264 of Ephraim H669 according to their armies H6635 : and the captain H5387 of the sons H1121 L-CMP of Ephraim H669 shall be Elishama H476 the son H1121 L-CMP of Ammihud H5989 .
19 And his host H6635 , and those that were numbered H6485 of them , were forty H705 MMP thousand H505 W-BMS and five H2568 W-BFS hundred H3967 .
20 And by H5921 him shall be the tribe H4294 of Manasseh H4519 : and the captain H5387 of the children H1121 L-CMP of Manasseh H4519 shall be Gamaliel H1583 the son H1121 L-CMP of Pedahzur H6301 .
21 And his host H6635 , and those that were numbered H6485 of them , were thirty H7970 W-MMP and two H8147 ONUM thousand H505 W-BMS and two hundred H3967 .
22 Then the tribe H4294 of Benjamin H1144 : and the captain H5387 of the sons H1121 L-CMP of Benjamin H1144 shall be Abidan H27 the son H1121 L-CMP of Gideoni H1441 .
23 And his host H6635 , and those that were numbered H6485 of them , were thirty H7970 W-MMP and five H2568 thousand H505 W-BMS and four H702 W-BFS hundred H3967 .
24 All H3605 CMS that were numbered H6485 of the camp H4264 of Ephraim H669 were a hundred H3967 BFS thousand H505 W-BMS and eight H8083 thousand H505 MMP and a hundred H3967 , throughout their armies H6635 . And they shall go forward H5265 in the third H7992 W-OMP rank .
25 The standard H1714 of the camp H4264 of Dan H1835 shall be on the north side H6828 NFS-3FS by their armies H6635 : and the captain H5387 of the children H1121 L-CMP of Dan H1835 shall be Ahiezer H295 the son H1121 L-CMP of Ammishaddai H5996 .
26 And his host H6635 , and those that were numbered H6485 of them , were threescore H8346 W-MMP and two H8147 ONUM thousand H505 W-BMS and seven H7651 W-BFS hundred H3967 .
27 And those that encamp H2583 by H5921 PREP-3MS him shall be the tribe H4294 of Asher H836 : and the captain H5387 of the children H1121 L-CMP of Asher H836 shall be Pagiel H6295 the son H1121 L-CMP of Ocran H5918 .
28 And his host H6635 , and those that were numbered H6485 of them , were forty H705 W-MMP and one H259 MMS thousand H505 W-BMS and five H2568 W-BFS hundred H3967 .
29 Then the tribe H4294 of Naphtali H5321 : and the captain H5387 of the children H1121 L-CMP of Naphtali H5321 shall be Ahira H299 the son H1121 L-CMP of Enan H5881 .
30 And his host H6635 , and those that were numbered H6485 of them , were fifty H2572 W-MMP and three H7969 NFS thousand H505 W-BMS and four H702 W-BFS hundred H3967 .
31 All H3605 NMS they that were numbered H6485 in the camp H4264 of Dan H1835 were a hundred H3967 BFS thousand H505 W-BMS and fifty H2572 W-MMP and seven H7651 W-MMS thousand H505 W-BMS and six H8337 W-RFS hundred H3967 BFP . They shall go H5265 hindmost H314 with their standards H1714 .
32 These H428 PMP are those which were numbered H6485 of the children H1121 of Israel H3478 by the house H1004 of their fathers H1 : all H3605 NMS those that were numbered H6485 of the camps H4264 throughout their hosts H6635 were six H8337 RFS hundred H3967 BFP thousand H505 W-BMS and three H7969 W-RMS thousand H505 MMP and five H2568 W-BFS hundred H3967 BFP and fifty H2572 .
33 But the Levites H3881 were not H3808 NADV numbered H6485 among H8432 B-NMS the children H1121 of Israel H3478 ; as H834 K-RPRO the LORD H3068 EDS commanded H6680 VPQ3MS Moses H4872 .
34 And the children H1121 of Israel H3478 did H6213 according to all H3605 K-NMS that H834 RPRO the LORD H3068 EDS commanded H6680 VPQ3MS Moses H4872 : so H3651 ADV they pitched H2583 by their standards H1714 , and so H3651 ADV they set forward H5265 , every one H376 NMS after their families H4940 , according to H5921 PREP the house H1004 CMS of their fathers H1 .
