1. ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸುಂಕದವರೂ ಪಾಪಿಗಳೂ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವದ ಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆತನ ಸವಿಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು.

2. ಫರಿಸಾಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳು--ಇವನು ಪಾಪಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸಿ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಊಟ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ ಗುಣುಗುಟ್ಟಿದರು.

3. ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಈ ಸಾಮ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ ದನು--

4. ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನಗೆ ನೂರು ಕುರಿಗಳಿರಲಾಗಿ ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದನ್ನು ಕಳೆದು ಕೊಂಡರೆ ಅವನು ತೊಂಭತ್ತೊಂಭತ್ತನ್ನು ಅಡವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಕಳೆದುಹೋದದ್ದು ಸಿಕ್ಕುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗದಿರುವನೇ?

4. 5. ಅವನು ಆ ಕುರಿಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಂತೋಷ ಪಡುತ್ತಾ ಅದನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಗಲುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊತ್ತು ಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.

5. And G2532 when he hath found G2147 it, he layeth G2007 it on G1909 his G1438 shoulders G5606 , rejoicing G5463 .

6. ಆಮೇಲೆ ಅವನು ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರನ್ನೂ ನೆರೆಯವರನ್ನೂ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕರೆದು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡಿರಿ;ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಕಳೆದುಹೋದ ನನ್ನ ಕುರಿಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕಂಡು ಕೊಂಡೆನು ಅನ್ನುವನು.

7. ಆದರಂತೆಯೇ ಮಾನಸಾಂತ ರಕ್ಕೆ ಅವಶ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲದ ತೊಂಭತ್ತೊಂಭತ್ತು ನೀತಿವಂತರಿಗಿಂತ ಮಾನಸಾಂತರಪಡುವ ಒಬ್ಬಪಾಪಿಯ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷವಾಗುವದೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.

8. ಯಾವ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ತನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳಿರಲಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ನಾಣ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡರೆ ದೀಪಹಚ್ಚಿ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಗುಡಿಸಿ ಅವಳು ಅದನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಜಾಗ್ರತೆಯಿಂದ ಹುಡುಕುವ ದಿಲ್ಲವೇ?

9. ಅವಳು ಅದನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡ ಮೇಲೆ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರನ್ನೂ ನೆರೆಯವರನ್ನೂ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕರೆದು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡಿರಿ; ಯಾಕಂ ದರೆ ನಾನು ಕಳಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ನಾಣ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡೆನು ಅನ್ನುವಳು.

9. And G2532 when she hath found G2147 it, she calleth her friends and her neighbors together G4779 G5384 G2532 G1069 , saying G3004 , Rejoice with G4796 me G3427 ; for G3754 I have found G2147 the G3588 piece G1406 which G3739 I had lost G622 .

10. ಅದೇ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಾನಸಾಂತರಪಡುವ ಒಬ್ಬ ಪಾಪಿಯ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ದೇವದೂತರ ಮುಂದೆ ಸಂತೋಷವಾಗುವದೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.

10. Likewise G3779 , I say G3004 unto you G5213 , there is G1096 joy G5479 in the presence G1799 of the G3588 angels G32 of God G2316 over G1909 one G1520 sinner G268 that repenteth G3340 .

11. ಆತನು--ಒಬ್ಬಾನೊಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಕುಮಾರರಿದ್ದರು.

12. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಿರಿಯವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ--ಅಪ್ಪಾ, ಆಸ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಬರತಕ್ಕ ಪಾಲನ್ನು ಕೊಡು ಅಂದನು; ಆಗ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಬದುಕನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿಭಾಗಿಸಿದನು.

12. And G2532 the G3588 younger G3501 of them G846 said G2036 to his father G3962 , Father G3962 , give G1325 me G3427 the G3588 portion G3313 of goods G3776 that falleth G1911 to me. And G2532 he divided G1244 unto them G846 his living G979 .

13. ಕೆಲವೇ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಿರೀ ಮಗನು ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ದೂರದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ದುಂದುಗಾರನಾಗಿ ಜೀವಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹಾಳುಮಾಡಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು.

14. ಅವನು ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ವೆಚ್ಚ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಘೋರವಾದ ಬರ ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು. ಹೀಗೆ ಅವನು ಕೊರತೆ ಪಡಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದನು.

15. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಹೋಗಿ ಆ ದೇಶದ ನಿವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದವನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ಕೊಂಡನು; ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಹಂದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮೇಯಿಸು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಹೊಲಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.ಅವನು ಹಂದಿಗಳು ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಹೊಟ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ಲಾದರೂ ತನ್ನ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಇಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟನು. ಆದರೆ

16. ಅವನು ಹಂದಿಗಳು ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಹೊಟ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ಲಾದರೂ ತನ್ನ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಇಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟನು. ಆದರೆ ಯಾವನೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.

16. And G2532 he would fain G1937 have filled G1072 his G848 belly G2836 with G575 the G3588 husks G2769 that G3739 the G3588 swine G5519 did eat G2068 : and G2532 no man G3762 gave G1325 unto him G846 .

17. ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬುದ್ದಿ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವನು--ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಕೂಲಿಯಾಳುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಕಾಗಿ ಉಳಿಯುವಷ್ಟು ಆಹಾರವಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ! ನಾನಾದರೋ ಹಸಿವೆಯಿಂದ ಸಾಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

17. And G1161 when he came G2064 to G1519 himself G1438 , he said G2036 , How many G4214 hired servants G3407 of my G3450 father G3962 's have bread enough and to spare G4052 G740 , and G1161 I G1473 perish G622 with hunger G3042 !

18. ನಾನು ಎದ್ದು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಅಪ್ಪಾ, ಪರಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ನಾನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ;
|
18. I will arise G450 and go G4198 to G4314 my G3450 father G3962 , and G2532 will say G2046 unto him G846 , Father G3962 , I have sinned G264 against G1519 heaven G3772 , and G2532 before G1799 thee G4675 ,

19. ಇನ್ನೆಂದಿಗೂ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನೆಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯನಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೂಲಿಯಾಳುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಂತೆ ಮಾಡು ಅನ್ನುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡು
|
19. And G2532 am G1510 no more G3765 worthy G514 to be called G2564 thy G4675 son G5207 : make G4160 me G3165 as G5613 one G1520 of thy G4675 hired servants G3407 .

20. ಎದ್ದು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಬಹಳ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯು ಅವನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಕನಿಕರಪಟ್ಟು ಓಡಿಬಂದು ಅವನ ಕೊರಳನ್ನು ಅಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮುದ್ದಿಟ್ಟನು.

21. ಮಗನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಅಪ್ಪಾ, ನಾನು ಪರಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನೆನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಇನ್ನೆಂದಿಗೂ ನಾನು ಯೋಗ್ಯನಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.

21. And G1161 the G3588 son G5207 said G2036 unto him G846 , Father G3962 , I have sinned G264 against G1519 heaven G3772 , and G2532 in thy sight G1799 G4675 , and G2532 am G1510 no more G3765 worthy G514 to be called G2564 thy G4675 son G5207 .

22. ಆದರೆ ತಂದೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ--ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದ ನಿಲುವಂಗಿಯನ್ನು ತಂದು ಇವನಿಗೆ ತೊಡಿಸಿರಿ; ಇವನ ಕೈಗೆ ಉಂಗುರವನ್ನೂ ಪಾದಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೆರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹಾಕಿರಿ;

22. But G1161 the G3588 father G3962 said G2036 to G4314 his G848 servants G1401 , Bring forth G1627 the G3588 best G4413 robe G4749 , and G2532 put it on G1746 him G846 ; and G2532 put G1325 a ring G1146 on G1519 his G846 hand G5495 , and G2532 shoes G5266 on G1519 his feet G4228 :

23. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಆ ಕರುವನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದು ವಧಿಸಿರಿ; ನಾವು ಉಂಡು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡೋಣ;

23. And G2532 bring hither G5342 the G3588 fatted G4618 calf G3448 , and kill G2380 it ; and G2532 let us eat G5315 , and be merry G2165 :

24. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಈ ನನ್ನ ಮಗನು ಸತ್ತವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು, ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬದುಕಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಕಳೆದು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದನು, ಈಗ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು; ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಸಂತೋಷ ಪಡಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು.

24. For G3754 this G3778 my G3450 son G5207 was G2258 dead G3498 , and G2532 is alive again G326 ; he was G2258 lost G622 , and G2532 is found G2147 . And G2532 they began G756 to be merry G2165 .

25. ಆಗ ಹಿರೀಮಗನು ಹೊಲದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದನು; ಅವನು ಮನೆಯ ಸವಿಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ವಾದ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ನಾಟ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಕೇಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು.

25. Now G1161 his G846 elder G4245 son G5207 was G2258 in G1722 the field G68 : and G2532 as G5613 he came G2064 and drew nigh G1448 to the G3588 house G3614 , he heard G191 music G4858 and G2532 dancing G5525 .

26. ಅವನು ಸೇವಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಇವುಗಳು ಏನೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
|
26. And G2532 he called G4341 one G1520 of the G3588 servants G3816 , and G2532 asked G4441 what G5101 these things G5023 meant G1498 .
|
|
27. ಆ ಸೇವಕನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ತಮ್ಮನು ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ಅವನನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಸೌಖ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆ ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಕರುವನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದನು.

27. And G1161 he G3588 said G2036 unto him G846 , Thy G4675 brother G80 is come G2240 ; and G2532 thy G4675 father G3962 hath killed G2380 the G3588 fatted G4618 calf G3448 , because G3754 he hath received G618 him G846 safe and sound G5198 .

28. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನು ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ಒಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಲೊಲ್ಲದೆ ಇದ್ದನು. ಆದಕಾರಣ ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿ ಕೊಂಡನು.

28. And G1161 he was angry G3710 , and G2532 would G2309 not G3756 go in G1525 : therefore G3767 came his father out G1831 G846 G3962 , and G2532 entreated G3870 him G846 .

29. ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ಇಷ್ಟು ವರುಷಗಳ ವರೆಗೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಯನ್ನು ಎಂದಾದರೂ ವಿಾರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನೀನ

29. 30. ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಬದುಕನ್ನು ಸೂಳೆಯ ರೊಂದಿಗೆ ನುಂಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟ ಈ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನು ಬಂದ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಅವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ ಕರುವನ್ನು ನೀನು ಕೊಯ್ಸಿದ್ದೀ ಅಂದನು.

30. But G1161 as soon as G3753 this G3778 thy G4675 son G5207 was come G2064 , which hath devoured G2719 thy living G979 with G3326 harlots G4204 , thou hast killed G2380 for him G846 the G3588 fatted G4618 calf G3448 .

31. ಆಗ ಅವನು--ಮಗನೇ, ನೀನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದೀ, ನನಗಿರುವ ದೆಲ್ಲವೂ ನಿನ್ನದೇ.
|
31. And G1161 he G3588 said G2036 unto him G846 , Son G5043 , thou G4771 art G1488 ever G3842 with G3326 me G1700 , and G2532 all G3956 that I have G1699 is G2076 thine G4674 .

32. ಆದರೆ ಈ ನಿನ್ನ ತಮ್ಮನು ಸತ್ತವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು, ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬದುಕಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಕಳೆದು ಹೋದ ವನಾಗಿದ್ದನು, ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆದಕಾರಣ ನಾವು ಸಂತೋ ಷಿಸಿ ಆನಂದಪಡುವದು ಯುಕ್ತವಾದದ್ದೇ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು ಅಂದನು.

32. It G1161 was meet G1163 that we should make merry G2165 , and G2532 be glad G5463 : for G3754 this G3778 thy G4675 brother G80 was G2258 dead G3498 , and G2532 is alive again G326 ; and G2532 was G2258 lost G622 , and G2532 is found G2147 .
