1
Paul,
called
to
be
an
apostle
of
Jesus
Christ
through
the
will
of
God,
and
Sosthenes
our
brother,
2
Unto
the
church
of
God
which
is
at
Corinth,
to
them
that
are
sanctified
in
Christ
Jesus,
called
to
be
saints,
with
all
that
in
every
place
call
upon
the
name
of
Jesus
Christ
our
Lord,
both
theirs
and
ours:
3
Grace
be
unto
you,
and
peace,
from
God
our
Father,
and
from
the
Lord
Jesus
Christ.
4
I
thank
my
God
always
on
your
behalf,
for
the
grace
of
God
which
is
given
you
by
Jesus
Christ;
5
That
in
every
thing
ye
are
enriched
by
him,
in
all
utterance,
and
in
all
knowledge;
6
Even
as
the
testimony
of
Christ
was
confirmed
in
you:
7
So
that
ye
come
behind
in
no
gift;
waiting
for
the
coming
of
our
Lord
Jesus
Christ:
8
Who
shall
also
confirm
you
unto
the
end,
that
ye
may
be
blameless
in
the
day
of
our
Lord
Jesus
Christ.
9
God
is
faithful,
by
whom
ye
were
called
unto
the
fellowship
of
his
Son
Jesus
Christ
our
Lord.
10
Now
I
beseech
you,
brethren,
by
the
name
of
our
Lord
Jesus
Christ,
that
ye
all
speak
the
same
thing,
and
that
there
be
no
divisions
among
you;
but
that
ye
be
perfectly
joined
together
in
the
same
mind
and
in
the
same
judgment.
11
For
it
hath
been
declared
unto
me
of
you,
my
brethren,
by
them
which
are
of
the
house
of
Chloe,
that
there
are
contentions
among
you.
12
Now
this
I
say,
that
every
one
of
you
saith,
I
am
of
Paul;
and
I
of
Apollos;
and
I
of
Cephas;
and
I
of
Christ.
13
Is
Christ
divided?
was
Paul
crucified
for
you?
or
were
ye
baptized
in
the
name
of
Paul?
14
I
thank
God
that
I
baptized
none
of
you,
but
Crispus
and
Gaius;
15
Lest
any
should
say
that
I
had
baptized
in
mine
own
name.
16
And
I
baptized
also
the
household
of
Stephanas:
besides,
I
know
not
whether
I
baptized
any
other.
17
For
Christ
sent
me
not
to
baptize,
but
to
preach
the
gospel:
not
with
wisdom
of
words,
lest
the
cross
of
Christ
should
be
made
of
none
effect.
18
For
the
preaching
of
the
cross
is
to
them
that
perish
foolishness;
but
unto
us
which
are
saved
it
is
the
power
of
God.
19
For
it
is
written,
I
will
destroy
the
wisdom
of
the
wise,
and
will
bring
to
nothing
the
understanding
of
the
prudent.
20
Where
is
the
wise?
where
is
the
scribe?
where
is
the
disputer
of
this
world?
hath
not
God
made
foolish
the
wisdom
of
this
world?
21
For
after
that
in
the
wisdom
of
God
the
world
by
wisdom
knew
not
God,
it
pleased
God
by
the
foolishness
of
preaching
to
save
them
that
believe.
22
For
the
Jews
require
a
sign,
and
the
Greeks
seek
after
wisdom:
23
But
we
preach
Christ
crucified,
unto
the
Jews
a
stumblingblock,
and
unto
the
Greeks
foolishness;
24
But
unto
them
which
are
called,
both
Jews
and
Greeks,
Christ
the
power
of
God,
and
the
wisdom
of
God.
25
Because
the
foolishness
of
God
is
wiser
than
men;
and
the
weakness
of
God
is
stronger
than
men.
26
For
ye
see
your
calling,
brethren,
how
that
not
many
wise
men
after
the
flesh,
not
many
mighty,
not
many
noble,
are
called:
27
But
God
hath
chosen
the
foolish
things
of
the
world
to
confound
the
wise;
and
God
hath
chosen
the
weak
things
of
the
world
to
confound
the
things
which
are
mighty;
28
And
base
things
of
the
world,
and
things
which
are
despised,
hath
God
chosen,
yea,
and
things
which
are
not,
to
bring
to
nought
things
that
are:
29
That
no
flesh
should
glory
in
his
presence.
30
But
of
him
are
ye
in
Christ
Jesus,
who
of
God
is
made
unto
us
wisdom,
and
righteousness,
and
sanctification,
and
redemption:
31
That,
according
as
it
is
written,
He
that
glorieth,
let
him
glory
in
the
Lord.

8
who

unblamable

Christ;
9
faithful
is
God,
through
whom
ye
were
called
to
the

of
His
Son
Jesus
Christ
our
Lord.
10
And
I
call
upon
you,
brethren,
through
the
name
of
our
Lord
Jesus
Christ,
that
the
same
thing
ye
may
all
say,
and
there
may
not
be
divisions
among
you,
and
ye
may
be
perfected
in
the
same
mind,
and
in
the
same
judgment,
11
for
it
was
signified
to
me
concerning
you,
my
brethren,
by
those
of
Chloe,
that
contentions
are
among
you;
12
and
I
say
this,
that
each
one
of
you
saith,
`I,
indeed,
am
of
Paul`
--
`and
I
of
Apollos,`
--
`and
I
of
Cephas,`
--
`and
I
of
Christ.`
13
Hath
the
Christ
been
divided?
was
Paul
crucified
for
you?
or
to
the
name
of
Paul
were
ye
baptized;
14
I
give
thanks
to
God
that
no
one
of
you
did
I
baptize,
except
Crispus
and
Gaius
--
15
that
no
one
may
say
that
to
my
own
name
I
did
baptize;
16
and
I
did
baptize
also
Stephanas`
household
--
further,
I
have
not
known
if
I
did
baptize
any
other.
17
For
Christ
did
not
send
me
to
baptize,
but
--
to
proclaim
good
news;
not
in
wisdom
of
discourse,
that
the
cross
of
the
Christ
may
not
be
made
of
none
effect;
18
for
the
word
of
the
cross
to
those
indeed
perishing
is
foolishness,
and
to
us
--
those
being
saved
--
it
is
the
power
of
God,
19
for
it
hath
been
written,
`I
will
destroy
the
wisdom
of
the
wise,
and
the
intelligence
of
the
intelligent
I
will
bring
to
nought;`
20
where
is
the
wise?
where
the
scribe?
where
a
disputer
of
this
age?
did
not
God
make
foolish
the
wisdom
of
this
world?
21
for,
seeing
in
the
wisdom
of
God
the
world
through
the
wisdom
knew
not
God,
it
did
please
God
through
the
foolishness
of
the
preaching
to
save
those
believing.
22
Since
also
Jews
ask
a
sign,
and
Greeks
seek
wisdom,
23
also
we
--
we
preach
Christ
crucified,
to
Jews,
indeed,
a
stumbling-block,
and
to
Greeks
foolishness,
24
and
to
those
called
--
both
Jews
and
Greeks
--
Christ
the
power
of
God,
and
the
wisdom
of
God,
25
because
the
foolishness
of
God
is
wiser
than
men,
and
the
weakness
of
God
is
stronger
than
men;
26
for
see
your
calling,
brethren,
that
not
many
are
wise
according
to
the
flesh,
not
many
mighty,
not
many
noble;
27
but
the
foolish
things
of
the
world
did
God
choose,
that
the
wise
He
may
put
to
shame;
and
the
weak
things
of
the
world
did
God
choose
that
He
may
put
to
shame
the
strong;
28
and
the
base
things
of
the
world,
and
the
things
despised
did
God
choose,
and
the
things
that
are
not,
that
the
things
that
are
He
may
make
useless
--
29
that
no
flesh
may
glory
before
Him;
30
and
of
Him
ye
--
ye
are
in
Christ
Jesus,
who
became
to
us
from
God
wisdom,
righteousness
also,
and
sanctification,
and
redemption,
31
that,
according
as
it
hath
been
written,
`He
who
is
glorying
--
in

let
him
glory.`

3
Grace
to
you
and
peace
from
God
our
Father
and
the
Lord
Jesus
Christ.
4
I
thank
my
God
always
concerning
you,
for
the
grace
of
God
which
was
given
you
in
Christ
Jesus;
5
that
in
everything
ye
were
enriched
in
him,
in
all
utterance
and
all
knowledge;
6
even
as
the
testimony
of
Christ
was
confirmed
in
you:
7
so
that
ye
come
behind
in
no
gift;
waiting
for
the
revelation
of
our
Lord
Jesus
Christ;
8
who
shall
also
confirm
you
unto
the
end,
that
ye
be
unreproveable
in
the
day
of
our
Lord
Jesus
Christ.
9
God
is
faithful,
through
whom
ye
were
called
into
the
fellowship
of
his
Son
Jesus
Christ
our
Lord.
10
Now
I
beseech
you,
brethren,
through
the
name
of
our
Lord
Jesus
Christ,
that
ye
all
speak
the
same
thing
and
that
there
be
no
divisions
among
you;
but
that
ye
be
perfected
together
in
the
same
mind
and
in
the
same
judgment.
11
For
it
hath
been
signified
unto
me
concerning
you,
my
brethren,
by
them
that
are
of
the
household
of
Chloe,
that
there
are
contentions
among
you.
12
Now
this
I
mean,
that
each
one
of
you
saith,
I
am
of
Paul;
and
I
of
Apollos:
and
I
of
Cephas;
and
I
of
Christ.
13
Is
Christ
divided?
was
Paul
crucified
for
you?
or
were
ye
baptized
into
the
name
of
Paul?
14
I
thank
God
that
I
baptized
none
of
you,
save
Crispus
and
Gaius;
15
lest
any
man
should
say
that
ye
were
baptized
into
my
name.
16
And
I
baptized
also
the
household
of
Stephanas:
besides,
I
know
not
whether
I
baptized
any
other.
17
For
Christ
sent
me
not
to
baptize,
but
to
preach
the
gospel:
not
in
wisdom
of
words,
lest
the
cross
of
Christ
should
be
made
void.
18
For
the
word
of
the
cross
is
to
them
that
perish
foolishness;
but
unto
us
who
are
saved
it
is
the
power
of
God.
19
For
it
is
written,
I
will
destroy
the
wisdom
of
the
wise,
And
the
discernment
of
the
discerning
will
I
bring
to
nought.
20
Where
is
the
wise?
where
is
the
scribe?
where
is
the
disputer
of
this
world?
hath
not
God
made
foolish
the
wisdom
of
the
world?
21
For
seeing
that
in
the
wisdom
of
God
the
world
through
its
wisdom
knew
not
God,
it
was
Gods
good
pleasure
through
the
foolishness
of
the
preaching
to
save
them
that
believe.
22
Seeing
that
Jews
ask
for
signs,
and
Greeks
seek
after
wisdom:
23
but
we
preach
Christ
crucified,
unto
Jews
a
stumblingblock,
and
unto
Gentiles
foolishness;
24
but
unto
them
that
are
called,
both
Jews
and
Greeks,
Christ
the
power
of
God,
and
the
wisdom
of
God.
25
Because
the
foolishness
of
God
is
wiser
than
men;
and
the
weakness
of
God
is
stronger
than
men.
26
For
behold
your
calling,
brethren,
that
not
many
wise
after
the
flesh,
not
many
mighty,
not
many
noble,
are
called:
27
but
God
chose
the
foolish
things
of
the
world,
that
he
might
put
to
shame
them
that
are
wise;
and
God
chose
the
weak
things
of
the
world,
that
he
might
put
to
shame
the
things
that
are
strong;
28
and
the
base
things
of
the
world,
and
the
things
that
are
despised,
did
God
choose,
yea
and
the
things
that
are
not,
that
he
might
bring
to
nought
the
things
that
are:
29
that
no
flesh
should
glory
before
God.
30
But
of
him
are
ye
in
Christ
Jesus,
who
was
made
unto
us
wisdom
from
God,
and
righteousness
and
sanctification,
and
redemption:
31
that,
according
as
it
is
written,
He
that
glorieth,
let
him
glory
in
the
Lord.

preaching
of
the
cross
is
to
them
that
perish
foolishness;
but
to
us
which
are
saved
it
is
the
power
of
God.
19
For
it
is
written,
I
will
destroy
the
wisdom
of
the
wise,
and
will
bring
to
nothing
the
understanding
of
the
prudent.
20
Where
is
the
wise?
where
is
the
scribe?
where
is
the
disputer
of
this
world?
has
not
God
made
foolish
the
wisdom
of
this
world?
21
For
after
that
in
the
wisdom
of
God
the
world
by
wisdom
knew
not
God,
it
pleased
God
by
the
foolishness
of
preaching
to
save
them
that
believe.
22
For
the
Jews
require
a
sign,
and
the
Greeks
seek
after
wisdom:
23
But
we
preach
Christ
crucified,
to
the
Jews
a
stumbling
block,
and
to
the
Greeks
foolishness;
24
But
to
them
which
are
called,
both
Jews
and
Greeks,
Christ
the
power
of
God,
and
the
wisdom
of
God.
25
Because
the
foolishness
of
God
is
wiser
than
men;
and
the
weakness
of
God
is
stronger
than
men.
26
For
you
see
your
calling,
brothers,
how
that
not
many
wise
men
after
the
flesh,
not
many
mighty,
not
many
noble,
are
called:
27
But
God
has
chosen
the
foolish
things
of
the
world
to
confound
the
wise;
and
God
has
chosen
the
weak
things
of
the
world
to
confound
the
things
which
are
mighty;
28
And
base
things
of
the
world,
and
things
which
are
despised,
has
God
chosen,
yes,
and
things
which
are
not,
to
bring
to
nothing
things
that
are:
29
That
no
flesh
should
glory
in
his
presence.
30
But
of
him
are
you
in
Christ
Jesus,
who
of
God
is
made
to
us
wisdom,
and
righteousness,
and
sanctification,
and
redemption:
31
That,
according
as
it
is
written,
He
that
glories,
let
him
glory
in
the
Lord.

From
Paul,
called
to
be
an
apostle
of
Christ
Jesus
by
the
will
of
God,
and
Sosthenes,
our
brother,
2
to
the
church
of
God
that
is
in
Corinth,
to
those
who
are
sanctified
in
Christ
Jesus,
and
called
to
be
saints,
with
all
those
in
every
place
who
call
on
the
name
of
our
Lord
Jesus
Christ,
their
Lord
and
ours.
3
Grace
and
peace
to
you
from
God
our
Father
and
the
Lord
Jesus
Christ!
4
I
always
thank
my
God
for
you
because
of
the
grace
of
God
that
was
given
to
you
in
Christ
Jesus.
5
For
you
were
made
rich
in
every
way
in
him,
in
all
your
speech
and
in
every
kind
of
knowledge—
6
just
as
the
testimony
about
Christ
has
been
confirmed
among
you—
7
so
that
you
do
not
lack
any
spiritual
gift
as
you
wait
for
the
revelation
of
our
Lord
Jesus
Christ.
8
He
will
also
strengthen
you
to
the
end,
so
that
you
will
be
blameless
on
the
day
of
our
Lord
Jesus
Christ.
9
God
is
faithful,
by
whom
you
were
called
into
fellowship
with
his
son,
Jesus
Christ
our
Lord.
10
I
urge
you,
brothers
and
sisters,
by
the
name
of
our
Lord
Jesus
Christ,
to
agree
together,
to
end
your
divisions,
and
to
be
united
by
the
same
mind
and
purpose.
11
For
members
of
Chloe's
household
have
made
it
clear
to
me,
my
brothers
and
sisters,
that
there
are
quarrels
among
you.
12
Now
I
mean
this,
that
each
of
you
is
saying,
"I
am
with
Paul,"
or
"I
am
with
Apollos,"
or
"I
am
with
Cephas,"
or
"I
am
with
Christ."
13
Is
Christ
divided?
Paul
wasn't
crucified
for
you,
was
he?
Or
were
you
in
fact
baptized
in
the
name
of
Paul?
14
I
thank
God
that
I
did
not
baptize
any
of
you
except
Crispus
and
Gaius,
15
so
that
no
one
can
say
that
you
were
baptized
in
my
name!
16
(I
also
baptized
the
household
of
Stephanus.
Otherwise,
I
do
not
remember
whether
I
baptized
anyone
else.)
17
For
Christ
did
not
send
me
to
baptize,
but
to
preach
the
gospel—
and
not
with
clever
speech,
so
that
the
cross
of
Christ
would
not
become
useless.
18
For
the
message
about
the
cross
is
foolishness
to
those
who
are
perishing,
but
to
us
who
are
being
saved
it
is
the
power
of
God.
19
For
it
is
written,
"I
will
destroy
the
wisdom
of
the
wise,
and
I
will
thwart
the
cleverness
of
the
intelligent."
20
Where
is
the
wise
man?
Where
is
the
expert
in
the
Mosaic
law?
Where
is
the
debater
of
this
age?
Has
God
not
made
the
wisdom
of
the
world
foolish?
21
For
since
in
the
wisdom
of
God
the
world
by
its
wisdom
did
not
know
God,
God
was
pleased
to
save
those
who
believe
by
the
foolishness
of
preaching.
22
For
Jews
demand
miraculous
signs
and
Greeks
ask
for
wisdom,
23
but
we
preach
about
a
crucified
Christ,
a
stumbling
block
to
Jews
and
foolishness
to
Gentiles.
24
But
to
those
who
are
called,
both
Jews
and
Greeks,
Christ
is
the
power
of
God
and
the
wisdom
of
God.
25
For
the
foolishness
of
God
is
wiser
than
human
wisdom,
and
the
weakness
of
God
is
stronger
than
human
strength.
26
Think
about
the
circumstances
of
your
call,
brothers
and
sisters.
Not
many
were
wise
by
human
standards,
not
many
were
powerful,
not
many
were
born
to
a
privileged
position.
27
But
God
chose
what
the
world
thinks
foolish
to
shame
the
wise,
and
God
chose
what
the
world
thinks
weak
to
shame
the
strong.
28
God
chose
what
is
low
and
despised
in
the
world,
what
is
regarded
as
nothing,
to
set
aside
what
is
regarded
as
something,
29
so
that
no
one
can
boast
in
his
presence.
30
He
is
the
reason
you
have
a
relationship
with
Christ
Jesus,
who
became
for
us
wisdom
from
God,
and
righteousness
and
sanctification
and
redemption,
31
so
that,
as
it
is
written,
"Let
the
one
who
boasts,
boast
in
the
Lord."

To

holy
because
you

You

You
have

6
This
proves
that
what
we

about
Christ
is
true.
7
Now
you
have
every
gift
from
God
while
you
wait

our

8
He
will
keep

the

so
that
on
the
day
when
our

comes

you
will
be
free
from
all
blame.
9
God
is
faithful.
He
is
the
one
who
has
chosen
you
to
share
life
with
his
Son,
Jesus
Christ
our
Lord.
10
Brothers
and
sisters,
by
the
authority
of
our
Lord
Jesus
Christ,
I
beg
all
of
you
to
agree
with
each
other.
You
should
not
be
divided
into
different
groups.
Be
completely
joined
together
again
with
the
same
kind
of
thinking
and
the
same
purpose.
11
My
brothers
and
sisters,
some
members
of
Chloe's
family
told
me
that
there
are
arguments
among
you.
12
This
is
what
I
mean:
One
of
you
says,
"I
follow
Paul,"
and
someone
else
says,
"I
follow
Apollos."
Another
says,
"I
follow
Peter,
"
and
someone
else
says,
"I
follow
Christ."
13
Christ
cannot
be
divided
into
different
groups.
It
wasn't
Paul
who
died
on
the
cross
for
you,
was
it?
Were
you
baptized
in
Paul's
name?
14
I
am
thankful
that
I
did
not
baptize
any
of
you
except
Crispus
and
Gaius.
15
I
am
thankful
because
now
no
one
can
say
that
you
were
baptized
in
my
name.
16
(I
also
baptized
the
family
of
Stephanas,
but
I
don't
remember
that
I
myself
baptized
any
others.)
17
Christ
did
not
give
me
the
work
of
baptizing
people.
He
gave
me
the
work
of
telling
the
Good
News.
But
he
sent
me
to
tell
the
Good
News
without
using
clever
speech,
which
would
take
away
the
power
that
is
in
the
cross
of
Christ.
18
The
teaching
about
the
cross
seems
foolish
to
those
who
are
lost.
But
to
us
who
are
being
saved
it
is
the
power
of
God.
19
As
the
Scriptures
say,
"I
will
destroy
the
wisdom
of
the
wise.
I
will
confuse
the
understanding
of
the
intelligent."
20
So
what
does
this
say
about
the
philosopher,
the
law
expert,
or
anyone
in
this
world
who
is
skilled
in
making
clever
arguments?
God
has
made
the
wisdom
of
the
world
look
foolish.
21
This
is
what
God
in
his
wisdom
decided:
Since
the
world
did
not
find
him
through
its
own
wisdom,
he
used
the
message
that
sounds
foolish
to
save
those
who
believe
it.
22
The
Jews
ask
for
miraculous
signs,
and
the
Greeks
want
wisdom.
23
But
this
is
the
message
we
tell
everyone:
Christ
was
killed
on
a
cross.
This
message
is
a
problem
for
Jews,
and
to
other
people
it
is
nonsense.
24
But
Christ
is
God's
power
and
wisdom
to
the
people
God
has
chosen,
both
Jews
and
Greeks.
25
Even
the
foolishness
of
God
is
wiser
than
human
wisdom.
Even
the
weakness
of
God
is
stronger
than
human
strength.
26
Brothers
and
sisters,
God
chose
you
to
be
his.
Think
about
that!
Not
many
of
you
were
wise
in
the
way
the
world
judges
wisdom.
Not
many
of
you
had
great
influence,
and
not
many
of
you
came
from
important
families.
27
But
God
chose
the
foolish
things
of
the
world
to
shame
the
wise.
He
chose
the
weak
things
of
the
world
to
shame
the
strong.
28
And
God
chose
what
the
world
thinks
is
not
important—what
the
world
hates
and
thinks
is
nothing.
He
chose
these
to
destroy
what
the
world
thinks
is
important.
29
God
did
this
so
that
no
one
can
stand
before
him
and
boast
about
anything.
30
It
is
God
who
has
made
you
part
of
Christ
Jesus.
And
Christ
has
become
for
us
wisdom
from
God.
He
is
the
reason
we
are
right
with
God
and
pure
enough
to
be
in
his
presence.
Christ
is
the
one
who
set
us
free
from
sin.
31
So,
as
the
Scriptures
say,
"Whoever
boasts
should
boast
only
about
the
Lord."

I

4
I

I
am

for
the
loving-favor
God
has
given
to
you
because
you

5
He
has
made
your
lives
rich
in
every

Now
you
have
power
to
speak
for
Him.
He
gave
you
good
understanding.
6
This
shows
that
what
I
told
you
about
Christ
and
what
He
could
do
for
you
has
been
done
in
your
lives.
7
You
have
the
gifts
of
the
Holy
Spirit
that
you
need
while
you
wait
for
the

again.
8
Christ

No

held
against
you.
9
God

He

10
Christian
brothers,
I
ask
you
with
all
my
heart
in
the
name
of
the
Lord
Jesus
Christ
to
agree
among
yourselves.
Do
not
be
divided
into
little
groups.
Think
and
act
as
if
you
all
had
the
same
mind.
11
My
Christian
brothers,
I
have
heard
from
some
of
Chloe's
family
that
you
are
arguing
among
yourselves.
12
I
hear
that
some
of
you
are
saying,
"I
am
a
follower
of
Paul,"
and
"I
am
a
follower
of
Apollos,"
and
"I
am
a
follower
of
Peter,"
and
"I
am
a
follower
of
Christ."
13
Has
Christ
been
divided?
Was
Paul
put
on
a
cross
to
die
for
your
sins?
Were
you
baptized
in
the
name
of
Paul?
14
I
am
thankful
to
God
that
I
baptized
Crispus
and
Gaius
only.
15
No
one
can
say
that
you
were
baptized
in
the
name
of
Paul.
16
I
remember
I
did
baptize
the
family
of
Stephanas,
but
I
do
not
remember
baptizing
any
others.
17
Christ
did
not
send
me
to
baptize.
He
sent
me
to
preach
the
Good
News.
I
did
not
use
big
sounding
words
when
I
preached.
If
I
had,
the
power
of
the
cross
of
Christ
would
be
taken
away.
18
Preaching
about
the
cross
sounds
foolish
to
those
who
are
dying
in
sin.
But
it
is
the
power
of
God
to
those
of
us
who
are
being
saved
from
the
punishment
of
sin.
19
The
Holy
Writings
say,
"I
will
destroy
the
wisdom
of
the
wise
people.
I
will
put
aside
the
learning
of
those
who
think
they
know
a
lot."(Isaiah
29:14)
20
Where
is
the
man
who
is
wise?
Where
is
the
man
who
thinks
he
knows
a
lot?
Where
is
the
man
who
thinks
he
has
all
the
answers?
God
has
made
the
wisdom
of
this
world
look
foolish.
21
In
His
wisdom,
He
did
not
allow
man
to
come
to
know
Him
through
the
wisdom
of
this
world.
It
pleased
God
to
save
men
from
the
punishment
of
their
sins
through
preaching
the
Good
News.
This
preaching
sounds
foolish.
22
The
Jews
are
looking
for
something
special
to
see.
The
Greek
people
are
looking
for
the
answer
in
wisdom.
23
But
we
preach
that
Christ
died
on
a
cross
to
save
them
from
their
sins.
These
words
are
hard
for
the
Jews
to
listen
to.
The
Greek
people
think
it
is
foolish.
24
Christ
is
the
power
and
wisdom
of
God
to
those
who
are
chosen
to
be
saved
from
the
punishment
of
sin
for
both
Jews
and
Greeks.
25
God's
plan
looked
foolish
to
men,
but
it
is
wiser
than
the
best
plans
of
men.
God's
plan
which
may
look
weak
is
stronger
than
the
strongest
plans
of
men.
26
Christian
brothers,
think
who
you
were
when
the
Lord
called
you.
Not
many
of
you
were
wise
or
powerful
or
born
into
the
family
of
leaders
of
a
country.
27
But
God
has
chosen
what
the
world
calls
foolish
to
shame
the
wise.
He
has
chosen
what
the
world
calls
weak
to
shame
what
is
strong.
28
God
has
chosen
what
is
weak
and
foolish
of
the
world,
what
is
hated
and
not
known,
to
destroy
the
things
the
world
trusts
in.
29
In
that
way,
no
man
can
be
proud
as
he
stands
before
God.
30
God
Himself
made
the
way
so
you
can
have
new
life
through
Christ
Jesus.
God
gave
us
Christ
to
be
our
wisdom.
Christ
made
us
right
with
God
and
set
us
apart
for
God
and
made
us
holy.
Christ
bought
us
with
His
blood
and
made
us
free
from
our
sins.
31
It
is
as
the
Holy
Writings
say,
"If
anyone
is
going
to
be
proud
of
anything,
he
should
be
proud
of
the
Lord."

From
Paul.
God
called
me
to
be
an
apostle
of
Christ
Jesus
because
that
is
what
God
wanted.
Also
from
Sosthenes,
ourbrother

Christ.
2
To
the
church
of
God
in
Corinth,
to
you
who
have
been
made
holy
in
Christ
Jesus.
You
were
called
to
be
God's
holy
people
with
all
people
everywhere
who
pray
in
the
name
of
the
Lord
Jesus
Christ
--
their
Lord
and
ours:
3
Grace
and
peace
to
you
from
God
our
Father
and
the
Lord
Jesus
Christ.
4
I
always
thank
my
God
for
you
because
of
the
grace
God
has
given
you
in
Christ
Jesus.
5
I
thank
God
because
in
Christ
you
have
been
made
rich
in
every
way,
in
all
your
speaking
and
in
all
your
knowledge.
6
Just
as
our
witness
about
Christ
has
been
guaranteed
to
you,
7
so
you
have
every
gift
from
God
while
you
wait
for
our
Lord
Jesus
Christ
to
come
again.
8
Jesus
will
keep
you
strong
until
the
end
so
that
there
will
be
no
wrong
in
you
on
the
day
our
Lord
Jesus
Christ
comes
again.
9
God,
who
has
called
you
to
share
everything
with
his
Son,
Jesus
Christ
our
Lord,
is
faithful.
10
I
beg
you,
brothers
and
sisters,
by
the
name
of
our
Lord
Jesus
Christ
that
all
of
you
agree
with
each
other
and
not
be
split
into
groups.
I
beg
that
you
be
completely
joined
together
by
having
the
same
kind
of
thinking
and
the
same
purpose.
11
My
brothers
and
sisters,
some
people
from
Chloe's
family
have
told
me
quite
plainly
that
there
are
quarrels
among
you.
12
This
is
what
I
mean:
One
of
you
says,
"I
follow
Paul";
another
says,
"I
follow
Apollos";
another
says,
"I
follow
Peter";
and
another
says,
"I
follow
Christ."
13
Christ
has
been
divided
up
into
different
groups!
Did
Paul
die
on
the
cross
for
you?
No!
Were
you
baptized
in
the
name
of
Paul?
No!
14
I
thank
God
I
did
not
baptize
any
of
you
except
Crispus
and
Gaius
15
so
that
now
no
one
can
say
you
were
baptized
in
my
name.
16
(I
also
baptized
the
family
of
Stephanas,
but
I
do
not
remember
that
I
baptized
anyone
else.)
17
Christ
did
not
send
me
to
baptize
people
but
to
preach
the
Good
News.
And
he
sent
me
to
preach
the
Good
News
without
using
words
of
human
wisdom
so
that
the
crossn
of
Christ
would
not
lose
its
power.
18
The
teaching
about
the
cross
is
foolishness
to
those
who
are
being
lost,
but
to
us
who
are
being
saved
it
is
the
power
of
God.
19
It
is
written
in
the
Scriptures:
"I
will
cause
the
wise
men
to
lose
their
wisdom;
I
will
make
the
wise
men
unable
to
understand."
20
Where
is
the
wise
person?
Where
is
the
educated
person?
Where
is
the
skilled
talker
of
this
world?
God
has
made
the
wisdom
of
the
world
foolish.
21
In
the
wisdom
of
God
the
world
did
not
know
God
through
its
own
wisdom.
So
God
chose
to
use
the
message
that
sounds
foolish
to
save
those
who
believe.
22
The
Jews
ask
for
miracles,
and
the
Greeks
want
wisdom.
23
But
we
preach
a
crucified
Christ.
This
is
a
big
problem
to
the
Jews,
and
it
is
foolishness
to
those
who
are
not
Jews.
24
But
Christ
is
the
power
of
God
and
the
wisdom
of
God
to
those
people
God
has
called
--
Jews
and
Greeks.
25
Even
the
foolishness
of
God
is
wiser
than
human
wisdom,
and
the
weakness
of
God
is
stronger
than
human
strength.
26
Brothers
and
sisters,
look
at
what
you
were
when
God
called
you.
Not
many
of
you
were
wise
in
the
way
the
world
judges
wisdom.
Not
many
of
you
had
great
influence.
Not
many
of
you
came
from
important
families.
27
But
God
chose
the
foolish
things
of
the
world
to
shame
the
wise,
and
he
chose
the
weak
things
of
the
world
to
shame
the
strong.
28
He
chose
what
the
world
thinks
is
unimportant
and
what
the
world
looks
down
on
and
thinks
is
nothing
in
order
to
destroy
what
the
world
thinks
is
important.
29
God
did
this
so
that
no
one
can
brag
in
his
presence.
30
Because
of
God
you
are
in
Christ
Jesus,
who
has
become
for
us
wisdom
from
God.
In
Christ
we
are
put
right
with
God,
and
have
been
made
holy,
and
have
been
set
free
from
sin.
31
So,
as
the
Scripture
says,
"If
someone
wants
to
brag,
he
should
brag
only
about
the
Lord."

that
you
all

there
be
no

you
be
united
in
the

11
For
concerning
you,
my

it
was
shown
to
me
by
those

Chloe
that
there
are
strifes
among
you.
12
But
I
say
this,
that
each
of
you
says,
I
am
of
Paul,
and
I
of
Apollos,
and
I
of
Cephas,
and
I
of
Christ.
13
Has
Christ
been
divided?
Was
Paul
crucified
for
you?
Or
were
you
baptized
into
the
name
of
Paul?
14
I
give
thanks
to
God
that
I
did
not
baptize
any
one
of
you,
except
Crispus
and
Gaius,
15
that
not
anyone
should
say
that
you
were
baptized
in
my
name.
16
And
I
also
baptized
the
house
of
Stephanas.
For
the
rest,
I
do
not
know
if
I
baptized
any
other.
17
For
Christ
did
not
send
me
to
baptize,
but
to
announce
the
gospel,
not
in
wisdom
of
words,
lest
the
cross
of
Christ
be
made
of
no
effect.
18
For
the
Word
of
the
cross
is
foolishness
to
those
being
lost,
but
to
us
being
saved,
it
is
the
power
of
God.
19
For
it
has
been
written,
"I
will
destroy
the
wisdom
of
the
wise,
and
I
will
set
aside
the
understanding
of
the
understanding
ones."
Isa.
29:14
20
Where
is
the
wise?
Where
the
scribe?
Where
the
lawyer
of
this
world?
Did
God
not
make
the
wisdom
of
this
world
foolish?
21
For
since
in
the
wisdom
of
God
the
world
by
wisdom
did
not
know
God,
God
was
pleased
through
the
foolishness
of
preaching
to
save
the
ones
believing.
22
And
since
Jews
ask
for
a
sign,
and
Greeks
seek
wisdom,
23
we,
on
the
other
hand,
preach
Christ
crucified
(truly
an
offense
to
Jews,
and
foolishness
to
Greeks),
24
but
to
the
called
out
ones,
both
to
Jews
and
to
Greeks,
Christ
is
the
power
of
God
and
the
wisdom
of
God;
25
because
the
foolish
thing
of
God
is
wiser
than
men,
and
the
weak
thing
of
God
is
stronger
than
men.
26
For
you
see
your
calling,
brothers,
that
there
are
not
many
wise
according
to
flesh,
nor
many
powerful,
not
many
wellborn.
27
But
God
chose
the
foolish
things
of
the
world
that
the
wise
might
be
put
to
shame,
and
God
chose
the
weak
things
of
the
world
so
that
He
might
put
to
shame
the
strong
things.
28
And
God
chose
the
low-born
of
the
world,
and
the
despised,
and
the
things
that
are
not,
so
that
He
might
bring
to
nothing
the
things
that
are,
29
so
that
no
flesh
might
glory
in
His
presence.
30
But
of
Him,
you
are
in
Christ
Jesus,
who
was
made
to
us
wisdom
from
God,
both
righteousness
and
sanctification
and
redemption,
31
so
that
even
as
it
has
been
written,
"He
that
glories,
let
him
glory
in"
the
"Lord."

9
God
is
faithful;
by

His
Son,
Jesus
Christ
our

10
Now
I
urge
you,
brothers,
in
the
name
of
our
Lord
Jesus
Christ,
that
you
all
say
the
same
thing,
that
there
be
no
divisions
among
you,
and
that
you
be
united
with
the
same
understanding
and
the
same
conviction.
11
For
it
has
been
reported
to
me
about
you,
my
brothers,
by
members
of
Chloe's
household,
that
there
are
quarrels
among
you.
12
What
I
am
saying
is
this:
each
of
you
says,
"I'm
with
Paul,"
or
"I'm
with
Apollos,"
or
"I'm
with
Cephas,"
or
"I'm
with
Christ."
13
Is
Christ
divided?
Was
it
Paul
who
was
crucified
for
you?
Or
were
you
baptized
in
Paul's
name?
14
I
thank
God
that
I
baptized
none
of
you
except
Crispus
and
Gaius,
15
so
that
no
one
can
say
you
had
been
baptized
in
my
name.
16
I
did,
in
fact,
baptize
the
household
of
Stephanas;
beyond
that,
I
don't
know
if
I
baptized
anyone
else.
17
For
Christ
did
not
send
me
to
baptize,
but
to
preach
the
gospel--
not
with
clever
words,
so
that
the
cross
of
Christ
will
not
be
emptied
of
its
effect.
18
For
to
those
who
are
perishing
the
message
of
the
cross
is
foolishness,
but
to
us
who
are
being
saved
it
is
God's
power.
19
For
it
is
written:
I
will
destroy
the
wisdom
of
the
wise,
and
I
will
set
aside
the
understanding
of
the
experts.
20
Where
is
the
philosopher?
Where
is
the
scholar?
Where
is
the
debater
of
this
age?
Hasn't
God
made
the
world's
wisdom
foolish?
21
For
since,
in
God's
wisdom,
the
world
did
not
know
God
through
wisdom,
God
was
pleased
to
save
those
who
believe
through
the
foolishness
of
the
message
preached.
22
For
the
Jews
ask
for
signs
and
the
Greeks
seek
wisdom,
23
but
we
preach
Christ
crucified,
a
stumbling
block
to
the
Jews
and
foolishness
to
the
Gentiles.
24
Yet
to
those
who
are
called,
both
Jews
and
Greeks,
Christ
is
God's
power
and
God's
wisdom,
25
because
God's
foolishness
is
wiser
than
human
wisdom,
and
God's
weakness
is
stronger
than
human
strength.
26
Brothers,
consider
your
calling:
not
many
are
wise
from
a
human
perspective,
not
many
powerful,
not
many
of
noble
birth.
27
Instead,
God
has
chosen
the
world's
foolish
things
to
shame
the
wise,
and
God
has
chosen
the
world's
weak
things
to
shame
the
strong.
28
God
has
chosen
the
world's
insignificant
and
despised
things--
the
things
viewed
as
nothing--
so
He
might
bring
to
nothing
the
things
that
are
viewed
as
something,
29
so
that
no
one
can
boast
in
His
presence.
30
But
from
Him
you
are
in
Christ
Jesus,
who
for
us
became
wisdom
from
God,
as
well
as
righteousness,
sanctification,
and
redemption,
31
in
order
that,
as
it
is
written:
The
one
who
boasts
must
boast
in
the
Lord.
