Jeremiah 52:3 (KJV) King James Version

1 Zedekiah was one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
2 And he did that which was evil in the eyes of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
3 For through the anger of the LORD it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, till he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
4 And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it, and built forts against it round about.
5 So the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.
6 And in the fourth month, in the ninth day of the month, the famine was sore in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.
7 Then the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled, and went forth out of the city by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king’s garden; (now the Chaldeans were by the city round about:) and they went by the way of the plain.
8 But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.
9 Then they took the king, and carried him up unto the king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath; where he gave judgment upon him.
10 And the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes: he slew also all the princes of Judah in Riblah.
11 Then he put out the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him in chains, and carried him to Babylon, and put him in prison till the day of his death.
12 Now in the fifth month, in the tenth day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzar-adan, captain of the guard, which served the king of Babylon, into Jerusalem,
13 And burned the house of the LORD, and the king’s house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, and all the houses of the great men, burned he with fire:
14 And all the army of the Chaldeans, that were with the captain of the guard, brake down all the walls of Jerusalem round about.
15 Then Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard carried away captive certain of the poor of the people, and the residue of the people that remained in the city, and those that fell away, that fell to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the multitude.
16 But Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard left certain of the poor of the land for vinedressers and for husbandmen.
17 Also the pillars of brass that were in the house of the LORD, and the bases, and the brasen sea that was in the house of the LORD, the Chaldeans brake, and carried all the brass of them to Babylon.
18 The caldrons also, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.
19 And the basons, and the firepans, and the bowls, and the caldrons, and the candlesticks, and the spoons, and the cups; that which was of gold in gold, and that which was of silver in silver, took the captain of the guard away.
20 The two pillars, one sea, and twelve brasen bulls that were under the bases, which king Solomon had made in the house of the LORD: the brass of all these vessels was without weight.
21 And concerning the pillars, the height of one pillar was eighteen cubits; and a fillet of twelve cubits did compass it; and the thickness thereof was four fingers: it was hollow.
22 And a chapiter of brass was upon it; and the height of one chapiter was five cubits, with network and pomegranates upon the chapiters round about, all of brass. The second pillar also and the pomegranates were like unto these.
23 And there were ninety and six pomegranates on a side; and all the pomegranates upon the network were an hundred round about.
24 And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door:
25 He took also out of the city an eunuch, which had the charge of the men of war; and seven men of them that were near the king’s person, which were found in the city; and the principal scribe of the host, who mustered the people of the land; and threescore men of the people of the land, that were found in the midst of the city.
26 So Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard took them, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah.
27 And the king of Babylon smote them, and put them to death in Riblah in the land of Hamath. Thus Judah was carried away captive out of his own land.
28 This is the people whom Nebuchadrezzar carried away captive: in the seventh year three thousand Jews and three and twenty:
29 In the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar he carried away captive from Jerusalem eight hundred thirty and two persons:
30 In the three and twentieth year of Nebuchadrezzar Nebuzar- adan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Jews seven hundred forty and five persons: all the persons were four thousand and six hundred.
31 And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the five and twentieth day of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon in the first year of his reign lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him forth out of prison,
32 And spake kindly unto him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon,
33 And changed his prison garments: and he did continually eat bread before him all the days of his life.
34 And for his diet, there was a continual diet given him of the king of Babylon, every day a portion until the day of his death, all the days of his life.

3 For H3588 CONJ through H5921 PREP the anger H639 CMS of the LORD H3068 EDS it came to pass H1961 VQP3FS in Jerusalem H3389 and Judah H3063 , till H5704 PREP he had cast them out H7993 from PREP his presence H6440 CMP-3MS , that Zedekiah H6667 rebelled H4775 against the king H4428 of Babylon H894 .
4 And it came to pass H1961 W-VQY3MS in the ninth H8671 year H8141 of his reign H4427 , in the tenth H6224 month H2320 BD-NMS , in the tenth H6218 day of the month H2320 LD-NMS , that Nebuchadnezzar H5019 king H4428 NMS of Babylon H894 LFS came H935 VQPMS , he H1931 PPRO-3MS and all H3605 W-CMS his army H2428 CMS-3MS , against H5921 PREP Jerusalem H3389 , and pitched H2583 against H5921 PREP it , and built H1129 forts H1785 against H5921 PREP it round about H5439 .
5 So the city H5892 D-GFS was besieged H935 W-VQY3FS unto H5704 PREP the eleventh H6249 year H8141 NFS of king H4428 Zedekiah H6667 .
6 And in the fourth H7243 D-ONUM month H2320 BD-NMS , in the ninth H8672 day of the month H2320 LD-NMS , the famine H7458 D-NMS was sore H2388 in the city H5892 BD-NFS , so that there was H1961 VQQ3MS no H3808 W-NPAR bread H3899 NMS for the people H5971 of the land H776 D-GFS .
7 Then the city H5892 D-GFS was broken up H1234 , and all H3605 W-CMS the men H376 CMP of war H4421 fled H1272 , and went forth H3318 W-VQY3MP out of the city H5892 by night H3915 GMS by the way H1870 NMS of the gate H8179 NMS between H996 PREP the two walls H2346 , which H834 RPRO was by H5921 PREP the king H4428 D-NMS \'s garden H1588 NMS ; (now the Chaldeans H3778 were by H5921 PREP the city H5892 D-GFS round about H5439 ADV : ) and they went H1980 W-VQY3MP by the way H1870 NMS of the plain H6160 .
8 But the army H2428 of the Chaldeans H3778 TMP pursued H7291 after H310 PREP the king H4428 D-NMS , and overtook H5381 Zedekiah H6667 in the plains H6160 of Jericho H3405 ; and all H3605 W-CMS his army H2428 CMS-3MS was scattered H6327 VNQ3MP from him .
9 Then they took H8610 the king H4428 NMS , and carried him up H5927 unto H413 PREP the king H4428 NMS of Babylon H894 LFS to Riblah H7247 in the land H776 B-GFS of Hamath H2574 ; where he gave H1696 W-VPY3MS judgment H4941 upon H854 PREP-3MS him .
10 And the king H4428 NMS of Babylon H894 LFS slew H7819 the sons H1121 of Zedekiah H6667 before his eyes H5869 : he slew H7819 also H1571 W-CONJ all H3605 NMS the princes H8269 CMP of Judah H3063 in Riblah H7247 .
11 Then he put out H5786 the eyes H5869 CMD of Zedekiah H6667 ; and the king H4428 NMS of Babylon H894 LFS bound H631 him in chains H5178 , and carried H935 him to Babylon H894 , and put H5414 him in prison H1004 till H5704 PREP the day H3117 NMS of his death H4194 .
12 Now in the fifth H2549 month H2320 WBD-NMS , in the tenth H6218 day of the month H2320 LD-NMS , which H1931 PPRO-3FS was the nineteenth H8672 BFS year H8141 of Nebuchadnezzar H5019 king H4428 NMS of Babylon H894 LFS , came H935 VQPMS Nebuzaradan H5018 , captain H7227 AMS of the guard H2876 , which served H5975 the king H4428 NMS of Babylon H894 LFS , into Jerusalem H3389 ,
13 And burned H8313 the house H1004 CMS of the LORD H3068 EDS , and the king H4428 D-NMS \'s house H1004 CMS ; and all H3605 NMS the houses H1004 of Jerusalem H3389 , and all H3605 NMS the houses H1004 CMS of the great H1419 D-AMS men , burned H8313 he with fire H784 :
14 And all H3605 NMS the army H2428 of the Chaldeans H3778 TMP , that H834 RPRO were with H854 PREP the captain H7227 AMS of the guard H2876 , broke down H5422 all H3605 NMS the walls H2346 of Jerusalem H3389 round about H5439 ADV .
15 Then Nebuzaradan H5018 the captain H7227 AMS of the guard H2876 carried away captive H1540 certain of the poor H1803 of the people H5971 , and the residue H3499 of the people H5971 that remained H7604 in the city H5892 BD-NFS , and those that fell away H5307 , that H834 RPRO fell H5307 to H413 PREP the king H4428 NMS of Babylon H894 LFS , and the rest H3499 of the multitude H527 .
16 But Nebuzaradan H5018 the captain H7227 AMS of the guard H2876 left H7604 certain of the poor H1803 of the land H776 D-GFS for vinedressers H3755 and for husbandmen H3009 .
17 Also the pillars H5982 CMP of brass H5178 that H834 RPRO were in the house H1004 of the LORD H3068 EDS , and the bases H4350 , and the brazen H5178 sea H3220 NMS that H834 RPRO was in the house H1004 B-CMS of the LORD H3068 EDS , the Chaldeans H3778 broke H7665 , and carried H5375 W-VQY3MP all H3605 NMS the brass H5178 of them to Babylon H894 .
18 The caldrons H5518 also , and the shovels H3257 , and the snuffers H4212 , and the bowls H4219 , and the spoons H3709 , and all H3605 NMS the vessels H3627 of brass H5178 wherewith H834 RPRO they ministered H8334 , took they away H3947 .
19 And the basins H5592 , and the firepans H4289 , and the bowls H4219 , and the caldrons H5518 , and the candlesticks H4501 , and the spoons H3709 , and the cups H4518 ; that which H834 RPRO was of gold H2091 NMS in gold H2091 NMS , and that which H834 RPRO was of silver H3701 NMS in silver H3701 NMS , took H3947 VQQ3MS the captain H7227 AMS of the guard H2876 away .
20 The two H8147 ONUM pillars H5982 , one H259 MMS sea H3220 D-NMS , and twelve H8147 brazen H5178 CFS bulls H1241 that H834 RPRO were under H8478 NMS the bases H4350 , which H834 RPRO king H4428 D-NMS Solomon H8010 MMS had made H6213 VQQ3MS in the house H1004 of the LORD H3068 EDS : the brass H5178 of all H3605 NMS these H428 vessels H3627 D-NMP was H1961 VQQ3MS without H3808 NADV weight H4948 NMS .
21 And concerning the pillars H5982 , the height H6967 of one H259 pillar H5982 was eighteen H8083 MFS cubits H520 UFS ; and a fillet H2339 of twelve H8147 MFS cubits H520 UFS did compass H5437 it ; and the thickness H5672 thereof was four H702 MFS fingers H676 : it was hollow H5014 .
22 And a chapiter H3805 of brass H5178 CFS was upon H5921 PREP-3MS it ; and the height H6967 of one H259 chapiter H3805 was five H2568 MFS cubits H520 , with network H7639 and pomegranates H7416 upon H5921 PREP-3MS the chapiters H3805 round about H5439 ADV , all H3605 of brass H5178 CFS . The second H8145 D-ONUM pillar H5982 also and the pomegranates H7416 were like unto these H428 .
23 And there were H1961 W-VQY3MP ninety H8673 MMP and six H8337 pomegranates H7416 on a side H7307 ; and all H3605 NMS the pomegranates H7416 upon H5921 PREP the network H7639 were a hundred H3967 MFS round about H5439 .
24 And the captain H7227 AMS of the guard H2876 took H3947 W-VQY3MS Seraiah H8304 the chief H7218 priest H3548 , and Zephaniah H6846 the second H4932 priest H3548 , and the three H7969 BMS keepers H8104 of the door H5592 :
25 He took H3947 VQQ3MS also out of H4480 W-PREP the city H5892 D-GFS a H259 MMS eunuch H5631 , which H834 RPRO had H1961 VQQ3MS the charge H6496 of H5921 PREP the men H376 NMS of war H4421 ; and seven H7651 W-MMS men H376 NMS of them that were near H7200 the king H4428 D-NMS \'s person H6440 CMP , which H834 RPRO were found H4672 in the city H5892 BD-NFS ; and the principal H8269 scribe H5608 of the host H6635 , who mustered H6633 the people H5971 NMS of the land H776 D-GFS ; and threescore H8346 W-MMP men H376 NMS of the people H5971 of the land H776 D-GFS , that were found H4672 in the midst H8432 B-NMS of the city H5892 D-GFS .
26 So Nebuzaradan H5018 the captain H7227 AMS of the guard H2876 took H3947 W-VQY3MS them , and brought H1980 them to H413 PREP the king H4428 NMS of Babylon H894 LFS to Riblah H7247 .
27 And the king H4428 NMS of Babylon H894 LFS smote H5221 them , and put them to death H4191 in Riblah H7247 in the land H776 B-GFS of Hamath H2574 . Thus Judah H3063 was carried away captive H1540 W-VQY3MS out of M-PREP his own land H127 .
28 This H2088 DPRO is the people H5971 whom H834 RPRO Nebuchadnezzar H5019 carried away captive H1540 : in the seventh H7651 MFS year H8141 B-CFS three H7969 BMS thousand H505 MMP Jews H3064 and three H7969 and twenty H6242 W-MMP :
29 In the eighteenth H8083 year H8141 B-CFS of Nebuchadnezzar H5019 he carried away captive H1540 from Jerusalem H3389 eight H8083 MFS hundred H3967 BFP thirty H7970 MMP and two H8147 persons H5315 GFS :
30 In the three H7969 MFS and twentieth H6242 W-MMP year H8141 B-CFS of Nebuchadnezzar H5019 Nebuzaradan H5018 the captain H7227 AMS of the guard H2876 carried away captive H1540 of the Jews H3064 seven H7651 hundred H3967 BFP forty H705 MMP and five H2568 persons H5315 GFS : all H3605 NMS the persons H5315 GFS were four H702 thousand H505 MMP and six H8337 W-RFS hundred H3967 .
31 And it came to pass H1961 W-VQY3MS in the seven H7651 and thirtieth H7970 year H8141 B-CFS of the captivity H1546 of Jehoiachin H3078 king H4428 NMS of Judah H3063 , in the twelfth H8147 month H2320 , in the five H2568 and twentieth H6242 day of the month H2320 LD-NMS , that Evil H192 - merodach king H4428 NMS of Babylon H894 LFS in the first year H8141 B-CFS of his reign H4438 lifted up H5375 VQQ3MS the head H7218 NMS of Jehoiachin H3078 king H4428 NMS of Judah H3063 , and brought him forth W-VHY3MS out of prison H1004 ,
32 And spoke H1696 W-VPY3MS kindly H2896 unto H854 PREP-3MS him , and set H5414 W-VQQ3MS his throne H3678 above H4605 the throne H3678 of the kings H4428 that H834 RPRO were with H854 PREP-3MS him in Babylon H894 ,
33 And changed H8138 his prison H3608 garments H899 : and he did continually H8548 eat H398 W-VQQ3MS bread H3899 NMS before H6440 L-CMP-3MS him all H3605 NMS the days H3117 CMP of his life H2416 .
34 And for his diet H737 , there was a continual H8548 diet H737 given H5414 VNQ3FS him of the king H4428 NMS of Babylon H894 LFS , every day H3117 NMS a portion H1697 CMS until H5704 PREP the day H3117 NUM-MS of his death H4194 , all H3605 NMS the days H3117 NMS of his life H2416 .
