17 וְעָמְדוּ H5975 שְׁנֵֽי H8147 ־ CPUN הָאֲנָשִׁים H376 D-NMP אֲשֶׁר H834 RPRO ־ CPUN לָהֶם L-PPRO-3MP הָרִיב H7379 לִפְנֵי H6440 L-CMP יְהוָה H3068 EDS לִפְנֵי H6440 L-CMP הַכֹּֽהֲנִים H3548 וְהַשֹּׁפְטִים H8199 אֲשֶׁר H834 RPRO יִהְיוּ H1961 VQY3MP בַּיָּמִים H3117 BD-NMP הָהֵֽם H1992 ׃ EPUN
18 וְדָרְשׁוּ H1875 הַשֹּׁפְטִים H8199 הֵיטֵב H3190 VHFA וְהִנֵּה H2009 IJEC עֵֽד H5707 ־ CPUN שֶׁקֶר H8267 NMS הָעֵד H5707 שֶׁקֶר H8267 NMS עָנָה H6030 בְאָחִֽיו H251 ׃ EPUN
19 וַעֲשִׂיתֶם H6213 לוֹ L-PPRO-3MS כַּאֲשֶׁר H834 K-RPRO זָמַם H2161 לַעֲשׂוֹת H6213 L-VQFC לְאָחִיו H251 וּבִֽעַרְתָּ H1197 הָרָע H7451 D-AMS מִקִּרְבֶּֽךָ H7130 ׃ EPUN
20 וְהַנִּשְׁאָרִים H7604 W-VNPMP יִשְׁמְעוּ H8085 VQY3MP וְיִרָאוּ H3372 וְלֹֽא H3808 W-NPAR ־ CPUN יֹסִפוּ H3254 לַעֲשׂוֹת H6213 L-VQFC עוֹד H5750 ADV כַּדָּבָר H1697 הָרָע H7451 D-AMS הַזֶּה H2088 D-PMS בְּקִרְבֶּֽךָ H7130 ׃ EPUN
21 וְלֹא H3808 W-NPAR תָחוֹס H2347 עֵינֶךָ H5869 CMD-2MS נֶפֶשׁ H5315 GFS בְּנֶפֶשׁ H5315 GFS עַיִן H5869 NMS בְּעַיִן H5869 שֵׁן H8127 בְּשֵׁן H8127 יָד H3027 NFS בְּיָד H3027 רֶגֶל H7272 NFS בְּרָֽגֶל H7272 ׃ EPUN ס EPUN
1 When H3588 CONJ the LORD H3068 EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS hath cut off H3772 the nations H1471 D-NMP , whose H834 RPRO land H776 the LORD H3068 EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS giveth H5414 VQPMS thee , and thou succeedest H3423 them , and dwellest H3427 in their cities H5892 , and in their houses H1004 ;
2 Thou shalt separate H914 three H7969 MFS cities H5892 GFP for thee in the midst H8432 B-NMS of thy land H776 , which H834 RPRO the LORD H3068 EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS giveth H5414 VQPMS thee to possess H3423 it .
3 Thou shalt prepare H3559 VHY3FS thee a way H1870 D-NMS , and divide H8027 the coasts H1366 CMS of thy land H776 , which H834 RPRO the LORD H3068 EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS giveth thee to inherit H5157 , into three parts , that every H3605 NMS slayer H7523 may H1961 W-VQQ3MS flee H5127 thither H8033 ADV-3FS .
4 And this H2088 W-PMS is the case H1697 CMS of the slayer H7523 , which H834 RPRO shall flee H5127 thither H8033 ADV-3FS , that he may live H2425 : Whoso H834 RPRO killeth H5221 his neighbor H7453 NMS-3MS ignorantly H1907 , whom he H1931 W-PPRO-3MS hated H8130 not H3808 NADV in time H8032 past H8657 ;
5 As when a man H834 W-RPRO goeth H935 VQY3MS into the wood H3293 with H854 PREP his neighbor H7453 NMS-3MS to hew H2404 wood H6086 , and his hand H3027 CFS-3MS fetcheth a stroke H5080 with the axe H1631 to cut down H3772 the tree H6086 AMS , and the head H1270 slippeth H5394 from H4480 PREP the helve H6086 AMS , and lighteth upon H4672 his neighbor H7453 NMS-3MS , that he die H4191 ; he H1931 PPRO-3MS shall flee H5127 unto H413 PREP one H259 OFS of those H428 D-DPRO-3MP cities H5892 , and live H2425 :
6 Lest H6435 CONJ the avenger H1350 of the blood H1818 pursue H7291 the slayer H7523 , while H3588 CONJ his heart H3824 is hot H3179 , and overtake H5381 him , because H3588 CONJ the way H1870 D-NMS is long H7235 VQQ3MS , and slay H5221 him H5315 ; whereas he was not H369 NPAR worthy of death H4941 CMS , inasmuch as H3588 CONJ he H1931 PPRO-3MS hated H8130 him not H3808 NADV in time H8032 past H8543 .
7 Wherefore H5921 PREP I H595 PPRO-1MS command H6680 thee , saying H559 L-VQFC , Thou shalt separate H914 three H7969 MFS cities H5892 GFP for thee .
8 And if H518 W-PART the LORD H3068 EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS enlarge H7337 thy coast H1366 , as H834 RPRO he hath sworn H7650 unto thy fathers H1 , and give H5414 W-VQQ3MS thee all H3605 NMS the land H776 D-GFS which H834 RPRO he promised H1696 VPQ3MS to give H5414 W-VQQ3MS unto thy fathers H1 ;
9 If H3588 CONJ thou shalt keep H8104 all H3605 NMS these H2063 D-DFS commandments H4687 to do H6213 them , which H834 RPRO I H595 PPRO-1MS command H6680 thee this day H3117 D-AMS , to love H157 the LORD H3068 EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS , and to walk H1980 WL-VQFC ever H3605 NMS in his ways H1870 ; then shalt thou add H3254 three H7969 MFS cities H5892 GFP more H5750 ADV for thee , beside H5921 PREP these H428 three H7969 :
10 That innocent H5355 AMS blood H1818 NMS be not H3808 W-NPAR shed H8210 VNY3MS in H7130 thy land H776 , which H834 RPRO the LORD H3068 EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS giveth H5414 VQPMS thee for an inheritance H5159 NFS , and so blood H1818 be H1961 W-VQQ3MS upon H5921 PREP-2MS thee .
11 But if H3588 any man H376 NMS hate H1961 VQY3MS his neighbor H7453 L-CMS-3MS , and lie in wait H693 for him , and rise up H6965 against H5921 PREP-3MS him , and smite H5221 him mortally H5315 GFS that he die H4191 , and fleeth H5127 into H413 PREP one H259 OFS of these H411 cities H5892 :
12 Then the elders H2205 of his city H5892 shall send H7971 and fetch H3947 him thence H8033 M-ADV , and deliver H5414 him into the hand H3027 B-CFS of the avenger H1350 of blood H1818 , that he may die H4191 .
13 Thine eye H5869 shall not H3808 NADV pity H2347 him , but thou shalt put away H1197 the guilt of innocent H5355 blood H1818 from Israel H3478 , that it may go well H2895 with thee .
14 Thou shalt not H3808 NADV remove H5253 thy neighbor H7453 \'s landmark H1366 CMS , which H834 RPRO they of old time H7223 have set H1379 in thine inheritance H5159 , which H834 RPRO thou shalt inherit H5157 in the land H776 B-NFS that H834 RPRO the LORD H3068 EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS giveth H5414 VQPMS thee to possess H3423 it .
15 One H259 MMS witness H5707 shall not H3808 ADV rise up H6965 VQY3MS against a man H376 for any H3605 L-CMS iniquity H5771 NMS , or for any H3605 sin H2403 CFS , in any H3605 B-CMS sin H2399 that H834 RPRO he sinneth H2398 : at H5921 PREP the mouth H6310 of two H8147 ONUM witnesses H5707 , or H176 CONJ at H5921 PREP the mouth H6310 of three H7969 witnesses H5707 , shall the matter H1697 be established H6965 VQY3MS .
16 If H3588 CONJ a false H2555 AMS witness H5707 rise up H6965 VQY3MS against any man H376 to testify H6030 against him that which is wrong H5627 ;
17 Then both H8147 the men H376 D-NMP , between whom H834 RPRO the controversy H7379 is , shall stand H5975 before H6440 L-CMP the LORD H3068 EDS , before H6440 L-CMP the priests H3548 and the judges H8199 , which H834 RPRO shall be H1961 VQY3MP in those H1992 days H3117 BD-NMP ;
18 And the judges H8199 shall make diligent inquisition H1875 : and , behold H2009 IJEC , if the witness H5707 be a false H8267 NMS witness H5707 , and hath testified H6030 falsely H8267 NMS against his brother H251 ;
19 Then shall ye do H6213 unto him , as H834 K-RPRO he had thought H2161 to have done H6213 L-VQFC unto his brother H251 : so shalt thou put the evil away H1197 from among H7130 you .
20 And those which remain H7604 W-VNPMP shall hear H8085 VQY3MP , and fear H3372 , and shall henceforth H3254 commit H6213 L-VQFC no H3808 W-NPAR more H5750 ADV any H1697 such H2088 D-PMS evil H7451 D-AMS among H7130 you .
21 And thine eye H5869 CMD-2MS shall not H3808 W-NPAR pity H2347 ; but life H5315 GFS shall go for life H5315 GFS , eye H5869 NMS for eye H5869 , tooth H8127 for tooth H8127 , hand H3027 NFS for hand H3027 , foot H7272 NFS for foot H7272 .
