Exodus 26:13 (NET) New English Translation

1 "The tabernacle itself you are to make with ten curtains of fine twisted linen and blue and purple and scarlet; you are to make them with cherubim that are the work of an artistic designer.
2 The length of each curtain is to be forty-two feet, and the width of each curtain is to be six feet— the same size for each of the curtains.
3 Five curtains are to be joined, one to another, and the other five curtains are to be joined, one to another.
4 You are to make loops of blue material along the edge of the end curtain in one set, and in the same way you are to make loops in the outer edge of the end curtain in the second set.
5 You are to make fifty loops on the one curtain, and you are to make fifty loops on the end curtain which is on the second set, so that the loops are opposite one to another.
6 You are to make fifty gold clasps and join the curtains together with the clasps, so that the tabernacle is a unit.
7 "You are to make curtains of goats' hair for a tent over the tabernacle; you are to make eleven curtains.
8 The length of each curtain is to be forty-five feet, and the width of each curtain is to be six feet— the same size for the eleven curtains.
9 You are to join five curtains by themselves and six curtains by themselves. You are to double over the sixth curtain at the front of the tent.
10 You are to make fifty loops along the edge of the end curtain in one set and fifty loops along the edge of the curtain that joins the second set.
11 You are to make fifty bronze clasps and put the clasps into the loops and join the tent together so that it is a unit.
12 Now the part that remains of the curtains of the tent— the half curtain that remains will hang over at the back of the tabernacle.
13 The foot and a half on the one side and the foot and a half on the other side of what remains in the length of the curtains of the tent will hang over the sides of the tabernacle, on one side and the other side, to cover it.
14 "You are to make a covering for the tent out of ram skins dyed red and over that a covering of fine leather.
15 "You are to make the frames for the tabernacle out of acacia wood as uprights.
16 Each frame is to be fifteen feet long, and each frame is to be two feet three inches wide,
17 with two projections per frame parallel one to another. You are to make all the frames of the tabernacle in this way.
18 So you are to make the frames for the tabernacle: twenty frames for the south side,
19 and you are to make forty silver bases to go under the twenty frames— two bases under the first frame for its two projections, and likewise two bases under the next frame for its two projections;
20 and for the second side of the tabernacle, the north side, twenty frames,
21 and their forty silver bases, two bases under the first frame, and two bases under the next frame.
22 And for the back of the tabernacle on the west you will make six frames.
23 You are to make two frames for the corners of the tabernacle on the back.
24 At the two corners they must be doubled at the lower end and finished together at the top in one ring. So it will be for both.
25 So there are to be eight frames and their silver bases, sixteen bases, two bases under the first frame, and two bases under the next frame.
26 "You are to make bars of acacia wood, five for the frames on one side of the tabernacle,
27 and five bars for the frames on the second side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the frames on the back of the tabernacle on the west.
28 The middle bar in the center of the frames will reach from end to end.
29 You are to overlay the frames with gold and make their rings of gold to provide places for the bars, and you are to overlay the bars with gold.
30 You are to set up the tabernacle according to the plan that you were shown on the mountain.
31 "You are to make a special curtain of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine twisted linen; it is to be made with cherubim, the work of an artistic designer.
32 You are to hang it with gold hooks on four posts of acacia wood overlaid with gold, set in four silver bases.
33 You are to hang this curtain under the clasps and bring the ark of the testimony in there behind the curtain. The curtain will make a division for you between the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place.
34 You are to put the atonement lid on the ark of the testimony in the Most Holy Place.
35 You are to put the table outside the curtain and the lampstand on the south side of the tabernacle, opposite the table, and you are to place the table on the north side.
36 "You are to make a hanging for the entrance of the tent of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine twined linen, the work of an embroiderer.
37 You are to make for the hanging five posts of acacia wood and overlay them with gold, and their hooks will be gold, and you are to cast five bronze bases for them.

3 The five H2568 BFS curtains H3407 shall be H1961 coupled together H2266 one H802 NFS to H413 PREP another H269 ; and other five H2568 curtains H3407 shall be coupled H2266 one H802 NFS to H413 PREP another H269 .
4 And thou shalt make H6213 loops H3924 of blue H8504 upon H5921 PREP the edge H8193 CFS of the one H259 curtain H3407 from the selvage H7098 in the coupling H2279 ; and likewise H3651 shalt thou make H6213 VQY2MS in the uttermost H7020 edge H8193 of another curtain H3407 , in the coupling H4225 of the second H8145 .
5 Fifty H2572 MMP loops H3924 shalt thou make H6213 VQY2MS in the one H259 curtain H3407 , and fifty H2572 W-MMP loops H3924 shalt thou make H6213 VQY2MS in the edge H7097 of the curtain H3407 that H834 RPRO is in the coupling H4225 of the second H8145 D-ONUM ; that the loops H3924 may take hold H6901 one H802 NFS of H413 PREP another H269 .
6 And thou shalt make H6213 fifty H2572 MMP tacks H7165 of gold H2091 NMS , and couple H2266 the curtains H3407 together H802 NFS with the tacks H7165 : and it shall be H1961 W-VQQ3MS one H259 ONUM tabernacle H4908 .
7 And thou shalt make H6213 curtains H3407 of goats H5795 \' hair to be a covering H168 upon H5921 PREP the tabernacle H4908 : eleven H6249 curtains H3407 shalt thou make H6213 VQY2MS .
8 The length H753 CMS of one H259 D-ONUM curtain H3407 shall be thirty H7970 MMP cubits H520 , and the breadth H7341 W-CMS of one H259 curtain H3407 four H702 MFS cubits H520 : and the eleven H6249 curtains H3407 shall be all of one H259 OFS measure H4060 .

11 And thou shalt make H6213 fifty H2572 MMP tacks H7165 of brass H5178 CFS , and put H935 the tacks H7165 into the loops H3924 , and couple the tent together H2266 , that it may be H1961 W-VQQ3MS one H259 ONUM .
12 And the remnant H5629 that remaineth H5736 of the curtains H3407 of the tent H168 , the half H2677 curtain H3407 that remaineth H5736 , shall hang H5628 over H5921 PREP the backside H268 of the tabernacle H4908 .
13 And a cubit H520 on the one side H2088 M-DPRO , and a cubit H520 on the other side H2088 M-DPRO of that which remaineth H5736 in the length H753 of the curtains H3407 of the tent H168 , it shall H1961 VQY3MS hang H5628 over H5921 PREP the sides H6654 of the tabernacle H4908 on this side H2088 M-DPRO and on that side H2088 , to cover H3680 it .
14 And thou shalt make H6213 a covering H4372 for the tent H168 of rams H352 \' skins H5785 dyed red H119 , and a covering H4372 above H4605 of badgers H8476 \' skins H5785 .
15 And thou shalt make H6213 boards H7175 for the tabernacle H4908 of shittim H7848 wood H6086 CMP standing up H5975 .
16 Ten H6235 MFS cubits H520 shall be the length H753 CMS of a board H7175 , and a cubit H520 and a half H2677 shall be the breadth H7341 of one H259 board H7175 .
17 Two H8147 ONUM tenons H3027 shall there be in one H259 board H7175 , set in order H7947 one H802 NFS against H413 PREP another H269 : thus H3651 ADV shalt thou make H6213 VQY2MS for all H3605 the boards H7175 of the tabernacle H4908 .

22 And for the sides H3411 of the tabernacle H4908 westward H3220 thou shalt make H6213 VQY2MS six H8337 boards H7175 .
23 And two H8147 boards H7175 shalt thou make H6213 VQY2MS for the corners H4742 of the tabernacle H4908 in the two sides H3411 .
24 And they shall be H1961 coupled together H8382 beneath H4295 , and they shall be H1961 VQY3MP coupled together H8382 above H3162 the head H7218 CMS-3MS of it unto H413 PREP one H259 ring H2885 : thus H3651 ADV shall it be H1961 VQY3MS for them both H8147 ; they shall be H1961 for the two H8147 corners H4740 .
25 And they shall be H1961 W-VQQ3MS eight H8083 MMS boards H7175 , and their sockets H134 of silver H3701 NMS , sixteen H8337 sockets H134 ; two H8147 ONUM sockets H134 under H8478 NMS one H259 board H7175 , and two H8147 sockets H134 under H8478 NMS another H259 board H7175 .
26 And thou shalt make H6213 bars H1280 of shittim H7848 wood H6086 CMP ; five H2568 for the boards H7175 of the one H259 side H6763 of the tabernacle H4908 ,
27 And five H2568 bars H1280 for the boards H7175 of the other H8145 D-ONUM side H6763 of the tabernacle H4908 , and five H2568 bars H1280 for the boards H7175 of the side H6763 of the tabernacle H4908 , for the two sides H3411 westward H3220 .
28 And the middle H8484 bar H1280 in the midst H8432 B-NMS of the boards H7175 shall reach H1272 from H4480 PREP end H7097 to H413 PREP end H7097 .
29 And thou shalt overlay H6823 the boards H7175 with gold H2091 NMS , and make H6213 VQY2MS their rings H2885 of gold H2091 NMS for places H1004 NMP for the bars H1280 : and thou shalt overlay H6823 the bars H1280 with gold H2091 .
30 And thou shalt rear up H6965 the tabernacle H4908 according to the fashion H4941 thereof which H834 RPRO was showed H7200 thee in the mount H2022 .
31 And thou shalt make H6213 a veil H6532 of blue H8504 , and purple H713 , and scarlet H8438 , and fine twined linen H8336 of cunning H2803 work H4639 M-CMS : with cherubims H3742 shall it be made H6213 VQY3MS :
32 And thou shalt hang H5414 it upon H5921 PREP four H702 MMS pillars H5982 CMP of shittim H7848 wood overlaid H6823 with gold H2091 NMS : their hooks H2053 shall be of gold H2091 NMS , upon H5921 PREP the four H702 MMS sockets H134 of silver H3701 .
33 And thou shalt hang up H5414 the veil H6532 under H8478 NMS the tacks H7165 , that thou mayest bring in H935 thither H8033 ADV-3FS within H1004 the veil H6532 the ark H727 of the testimony H5715 : and the veil H6532 shall divide H914 unto you between H996 PREP the holy H6944 place and the most holy H6944 .
34 And thou shalt put H5414 the mercy seat H3727 upon H5921 PREP the ark H727 of the testimony H5715 in the most holy H6944 place .
35 And thou shalt set H7760 the table H7979 without H2351 the veil H6532 , and the candlestick H4501 over against H5227 the table H7979 on H5921 PREP the side H6763 of the tabernacle H4908 toward the south H8486 : and thou shalt put H5414 VQY2MS the table H7979 on H5921 PREP the north H6828 side H6763 .
36 And thou shalt make H6213 a hanging H4539 for the door H6607 of the tent H168 , of blue H8504 , and purple H713 , and scarlet H8438 , and fine twined linen H8336 , wrought with needlework H4639 M-CMS .
37 And thou shalt make H6213 for the hanging H4539 five H2568 pillars H5982 CMP of shittim H7848 wood , and overlay H6823 them with gold H2091 NMS , and their hooks H2053 shall be of gold H2091 NMS : and thou shalt cast H3332 five H2568 sockets H134 of brass H5178 for them .
