1. Now the LORD said to Moses and to Aaron,

2. "This is the statute of the law which the LORD has commanded: Tell the people of Israel to bring you a red heifer without defect, in which there is no blemish, and upon which a yoke has never come.
|
2. This H2063 is the ordinance H2708 of the law H8451 which H834 the LORD H3068 hath commanded H6680 , saying H559 , Speak H1696 unto H413 the children H1121 of Israel H3478 , that they bring H3947 H413 thee a red H122 heifer H6510 without spot H8549 , wherein H834 is no H369 blemish H3971 , and upon H5921 which H834 never H3808 came H5927 yoke H5923 :

3. And you shall give her to Eleazar the priest, and she shall be taken outside the camp and slaughtered before him;
|
3. And ye shall give H5414 her unto H413 Eleazar H499 the priest H3548 , that he may bring her forth H3318 H853 without H413 H4480 H2351 the camp H4264 , and one shall slay H7819 her before H6440 his face:
|
|
4. and Eleazar the priest shall take some of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle some of her blood toward the front of the tent of meeting seven times.
|
4. And Eleazar H499 the priest H3548 shall take H3947 of her blood H4480 H1818 with his finger H676 , and sprinkle H5137 of her blood H4480 H1818 directly H413 H5227 before H6440 the tabernacle H168 of the congregation H4150 seven H7651 times H6471 :

5. And the heifer shall be burned in his sight; her skin, her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall be burned;
|
5. And one shall burn H8313 H853 the heifer H6510 in his sight H5869 ; H853 her skin H5785 , and her flesh H1320 , and her blood H1818 , with H5921 her dung H6569 , shall he burn H8313 :

|
6. and the priest shall take cedarwood and hyssop and scarlet stuff, and cast them into the midst of the burning of the heifer.
|
6. And the priest H3548 shall take H3947 cedar H730 wood H6086 , and hyssop H231 , and scarlet H8144 H8438 , and cast H7993 it into H413 the midst H8432 of the burning H8316 of the heifer H6510 .
|
|
7. Then the priest shall wash his clothes and bathe his body in water, and afterwards he shall come into the camp; and the priest shall be unclean until evening.
|
7. Then the priest H3548 shall wash H3526 his clothes H899 , and he shall bathe H7364 his flesh H1320 in water H4325 , and afterward H310 he shall come H935 into H413 the camp H4264 , and the priest H3548 shall be unclean H2930 until H5704 the even H6153 .

8. He who burns the heifer shall wash his clothes in water and bathe his body in water, and shall be unclean until evening.
|
8. And he that burneth H8313 her shall wash H3526 his clothes H899 in water H4325 , and bathe H7364 his flesh H1320 in water H4325 , and shall be unclean H2930 until H5704 the even H6153 .

9. And a man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and deposit them outside the camp in a clean place; and they shall be kept for the congregation of the people of Israel for the water for impurity, for the removal of sin.
|
9. And a man H376 that is clean H2889 shall gather up H622 H853 the ashes H665 of the heifer H6510 , and lay them up H5117 without H4480 H2351 the camp H4264 in a clean H2889 place H4725 , and it shall be H1961 kept H4931 for the congregation H5712 of the children H1121 of Israel H3478 for a water H4325 of separation H5079 : it H1931 is a purification for sin H2403 .

10. And he who gathers the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until evening. And this shall be to the people of Israel, and to the stranger who sojourns among them, a perpetual statute.

10. 11. "He who touches the dead body of any person shall be unclean seven days;
|
11. He that toucheth H5060 the dead H4191 body H5315 of any H3605 man H120 shall be unclean H2930 seven H7651 days H3117 .
|
|
12. he shall cleanse himself with the water on the third day and on the seventh day, and so be clean; but if he does not cleanse himself on the third day and on the seventh day, he will not become clean.
|
12. He H1931 shall purify himself H2398 with it on the third H7992 day H3117 , and on the seventh H7637 day H3117 he shall be clean H2891 : but if H518 he purify not himself H2398 H3808 the third H7992 day H3117 , then the seventh H7637 day H3117 he shall not H3808 be clean H2891 .

13. Whoever touches a dead person, the body of any man who has died, and does not cleanse himself, defiles the tabernacle of the LORD, and that person shall be cut off from Israel; because the water for impurity was not thrown upon him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is still on him.
|
13. Whosoever H3605 toucheth H5060 the dead H4191 body H5315 of any man H120 that H834 is dead H4191 , and purifieth not himself H2398 H3808 , defileth H2930 H853 the tabernacle H4908 of the LORD H3068 ; and that H1931 soul H5315 shall be cut off H3772 from Israel H4480 H3478 : because H3588 the water H4325 of separation H5079 was not H3808 sprinkled H2236 upon H5921 him , he shall be H1961 unclean H2931 ; his uncleanness H2932 is yet H5750 upon him.

14. "This is the law when a man dies in a tent: every one who comes into the tent, and every one who is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days.
|
14. This H2063 is the law H8451 , when H3588 a man H120 dieth H4191 in a tent H168 : all H3605 that come H935 into H413 the tent H168 , and all H3605 that H834 is in the tent H168 , shall be unclean H2930 seven H7651 days H3117 .
|
|
15. And every open vessel, which has no cover fastened upon it, is unclean.
|
15. And every H3605 open H6605 vessel H3627 , which H834 hath no H369 covering H6781 bound H6616 upon H5921 it H1931 , is unclean H2931 .
|
|
16. Whoever in the open field touches one who is slain with a sword, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.
|
16. And whosoever H3605 H834 toucheth H5060 one that is slain H2491 with a sword H2719 in H5921 the open H6440 fields H7704 , or H176 a dead body H4191 , or H176 a bone H6106 of a man H120 , or H176 a grave H6913 , shall be unclean H2930 seven H7651 days H3117 .

17. For the unclean they shall take some ashes of the burnt sin offering, and running water shall be added in a vessel;
|
17. And for an unclean H2931 person they shall take H3947 of the ashes H4480 H6083 of the burnt heifer H8316 of purification for sin H2403 , and running H2416 water H4325 shall be put H5414 thereto H5921 in H413 a vessel H3627 :

|
18. then a clean person shall take hyssop, and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it upon the tent, and upon all the furnishings, and upon the persons who were there, and upon him who touched the bone, or the slain, or the dead, or the grave;
|
18. And a clean H2889 person H376 shall take H3947 hyssop H231 , and dip H2881 it in the water H4325 , and sprinkle H5137 it upon H5921 the tent H168 , and upon H5921 all H3605 the vessels H3627 , and upon H5921 the persons H5315 that H834 were H1961 there H8033 , and upon H5921 him that touched H5060 a bone H6106 , or H176 one slain H2491 , or H176 one dead H4191 , or H176 a grave H6913 :

19. and the clean person shall sprinkle upon the unclean on the third day and on the seventh day; thus on the seventh day he shall cleanse him, and he shall wash his clothes and bathe himself in water, and at evening he shall be clean.
|
19. And the clean H2889 person shall sprinkle H5137 upon H5921 the unclean H2931 on the third H7992 day H3117 , and on the seventh H7637 day H3117 : and on the seventh H7637 day H3117 he shall purify H2398 himself , and wash H3526 his clothes H899 , and bathe H7364 himself in water H4325 , and shall be clean H2891 at even H6153 .

20. "But the man who is unclean and does not cleanse himself, that person shall be cut off from the midst of the assembly, since he has defiled the sanctuary of the LORD; because the water for impurity has not been thrown upon him, he is unclean.
|
20. But the man H376 that H834 shall be unclean H2930 , and shall not H3808 purify himself H2398 , that H1931 soul H5315 shall be cut off H3772 from among H4480 H8432 the congregation H6951 , because H3588 he hath defiled H2930 H853 the sanctuary H4720 of the LORD H3068 : the water H4325 of separation H5079 hath not H3808 been sprinkled H2236 upon H5921 him; he H1931 is unclean H2931 .

21. And it shall be a perpetual statute for them. He who sprinkles the water for impurity shall wash his clothes; and he who touches the water for impurity shall be unclean until evening.
|
21. And it shall be H1961 a perpetual H5769 statute H2708 unto them , that he that sprinkleth H5137 the water H4325 of separation H5079 shall wash H3526 his clothes H899 ; and he that toucheth H5060 the water H4325 of separation H5079 shall be unclean H2930 until H5704 even H6153 .

22. And whatever the unclean person touches shall be unclean; and any one who touches it shall be unclean until evening."

22. And whatsoever H3605 H834 the unclean H2931 person toucheth H5060 shall be unclean H2930 ; and the soul H5315 that toucheth H5060 it shall be unclean H2930 until H5704 even H6153 .
