1 اور تین برس وہ ایسے ہی رہے اور اسرائیل اور ارام کے درمیان لڑائی نہ ہوئی ۔

3 اور تیسرے سال یہوداہ کا بادشاہ یہوسفط شاہِ اسرائیل کے ہاں آیا ۔

5 اور شاہِ اسرائیل نے اپنے مُلازموں سے کہا کیا تُم کو معلوم ہے کہ رامات جلعاد ہمارا ہے پر ہم خاموش ہیں ۔ اور شاہِ ارام کے ہاتھ سے اُسے چھین نہیں لیتے ۔

7 پھر اُس نے یہوسفط سے کہا ، کیا تُو میرے ساتھ رامات جلعاد سے لڑنے چلے گا ؟ یہوسفط نے شاہِ اسرائیل کو جواب دیا میں ایسا ہوں جیسا تُو ۔ میرے لوگ ایسے ہیں جیسے تیرے لوگ اور میرے گھوڑے ایسے ہیں جیسے تیرے گھوڑے ۔

9 اور یہوسفط نے شاہِ اسرائیل سے کہا ذرا آج خداوند کی مرضی بھی تو دریافت کر لے ۔

11 تب شاہِ اسرائیل نے نبیوں کو جو قریب چار سو آدمی تھے اکٹھا کیا اور اُن سے پوچھا میں رامات جلعاد سے لڑنے جاوں یا باز رہوں ۔ اُنہوں نے کہا جا کیونکہ خداوند اُسے بادشاہ کے قبضہ میں کر دے گا ۔

13 لیکن یہوسفط نے کہا کیا اِن کو چھوڑ کر یہاں خداوند کا کوئی نبی نہیں ہے تاکہ ہم اُس سے پوچھیں ۔

15 شاہِ اسرائیل نے یہوسفط سے کہا کہ ایک شخص املہ کا بیٹا میکایا ہ ہے تو صیح جس کے ذریعہ سے ہم خداوند سے پوچھ سکتے ہیں لیکن مجھے اُس سے نفرت ہے کیونکہ وہ میرے حق میں نیکی کی نہیں بلکہ بدی کی پیشن گوئی کرتا ہے ، یہوسفط نے کہا بادشاہ ایسا نہ کہے۔

17 تب شاہِ اسرائیل نے ایک سردار کو بُلا کر کہا کہ اِملہ کے بیٹے میکایاہ کو جلد لے آ ۔

19 اُس وقت شاہِ اسرائیل اور شاہِ یہواہ یہوسفط سامریہ کے پھاٹک کے سامنے ایک کھُلی جگہ میں اپنے تخت پر شاہانہ لباس پہنے ہوئے بیٹے تھے اور سب نبی اُن کے حضور پیشن گوئی کر رہیے تھے ۔

21 اور کنعانہ کے بیٹے صدقیاہ نے اپنے لیے لوہے کے سینگ بنائے اور کہا خداوند یوں فرماتا ہے کہ تُو اِن سے ارامیوں کو مارے گا جب تک وہ نابود نہ ہو جائیں ۔

23 اور سب نبیوں نے یہی پیشن گوئی کی اور کہا کہ رامات جلعاد پر چڑھائی کر اور کامیاب ہو کیونکہ خداوند اُسے بادشاہ کے قبضہ میں کر دے گا۔

25 اور اُس قاصد نے جو میکایاہ کو بُلانے گیا تھا اُس سے کہا دیکھ ! سب نبی ایک زبان ہو کر بادشاہ کو خوشخبری دے رے ہیں ، سو ذرا تیری بات بھی اُن کی بات کی طرح ہو اور تُو خوشخبری ہی دینا ۔

27 میکایاہ نے کہا خداوند کی حیات کی قسم جو کچھ خداوند مجھے فرمائے میں وہی کہوں گا ۔

29 سو جب وہ بادشاہ کے پاس آیا تو بادشاہ نے اُس سے کہا میکایاہ ہم رامات جلعاد سے لڑنے جائیں یا رہنے دیں ؟ اُس نے جواب دیا جا اور کامیاب ہو کیونکہ خداوند اُسے بادشاہ کے قبضہ میں کر دے گا ۔

31 بادشاہ نے اُسے کہا میں کتنہ مرتبہ تُجھے قسم دے کر کہوں کے تُو خداوند کے نام سے حق کے سوا اور کچھ مجھ کو نہ بتائے ۔

33 تب اُس نے کہا میں نے سارے اسرائیل کو اُن بھیڑوں کی مانند جن کا چوپان نہ ہو پہاڑوں پر پراگندہ دیکھا اور خداوند نے فرمایا کہ اِن کا کوئی مالک نہیں سو وہ اپنے اپنے گھر سلامت لوٹ جائے۔

35 تب شاہِ اسرائیل نے یہوسفط سے کہا کیا میں نے تُجھ کو بتایا نہیں تھا کہ یہ میرے حق میں نیکی کی نہیں بلکہ بدی کی پیشن گوئی کرے گا ۔

37 تب اُس سے نے کہا اچھا تُو خداوند کے سُخن کو سُن لے میں نے دیکھا کہ خداوند اپنے تخت پر بیٹھا ہے اور سارا آسمانی لشکر اُس کے دہنے اور بائیں کھڑا ہے ۔

39 اور خداوند نے فرمایا کہ کون اخی اب کو بہکائے گا تاکہ وہ چڑھائی کرے اور رامات جلعاد میں کھیت آئے ؟ تب کسی نے کچھ کہا اور کسی نے کچھ ۔

41 لیکن ایک روح نکل کر خداوند کے سامنے کھڑی ہوئی اور کہا میں اُسے بہکاوں گی ۔

43 خداوند نے اُس سے پوچھا کس طرح؟ اُس نے کہا میں جا کر اُس کے سب نبیوں کے منہ میں جھوٹ بولنے والی روح بن جاوں گی ۔ اُس نے کہا تُو اُسے بہکا دے گی اور غالب بھی ہو گی ، روانہ ہو جا اور ایسا ہی کر۔

45 سو دیکھ خداوند نے تیرے اِن سب نبیوں کے منہ میں جھوٹ بولنے والی روح ڈالی ہے اور خداوند نے تیرے حق میں بدی کا حکم دیا ہے ۔

47 تب کعنانہ کا بیٹا صدقیاہ نزدیک آیا اور اُس نے میکایاہ کے گال پر مار کر کہا خداوند کی روح تُجھ سے بات کرنے کو کس راہ سے ہو کر مجھ میں سے گئی ؟

49 میکایاہ نے کہا یہ تو اُسی دن دیکھ لے گا جب تُو اندر کی ایک کوٹھری میں گھُسے گا تاکہ چھپ جائے ۔

51 اور شاہِ اسرائیل نے کہا میکایاہ کو لے کر اُسے شہر کے نازک عمون اور یوآس شہزاہ کے پاس لوٹا لے جاو۔

53 اور کہنا بادشاہ یوں فرماتا ہے کہ اِس شخص کو قید خانہ میں ڈال دو اور اِسے مصیبت کی روٹی کھلانا اور مصیبت کا پانی پلانا جب تک میں سلامت نہ آوں ۔

55 تب میکایاہ نے کہا اگر تُو سلامت واپس آ جائے تو خداوند نے میری معرفت کلام ہی نہیں کیا ۔ پھر اُس نے کہا اے لوگو ں تم سب کے سب سُن لو ۔

57 سو شاہِ اسرائیل اور شاہ یہوداہ یہوسفط نے رامات جلعاد پر چڑھائی کی۔

59 اور شاہ اسرائیل نے یہوسفط سے کہا میں اپنا بھیس بدل کر لڑائی میں جاوں گا پھر تُو اپنا لباس پہنے رہ سو شاہِ اسرائیل نے اپنا بھیس بدل کر لڑائی میں گیا ۔

61 اُدھر شاہِ ارام نے اپنے رتھوں کے بتیسیوں کو سرداروں کو حکم دیا تھا کہ کسی چھوٹے یا بڑے سے نہ لڑنا سِوا شاہِ اسرائیل کے ۔

63 سو جب رتھوں کے سرداروں نے یہوسفط کو دیکھا تو کہا کہ ضرور شاہِ اسرائیل یہی ہے اور وہ اُس سے لڑنے کو مُڑے ، تب یہوسفط چِلا اُٹھا ۔

65 جب رتھوں کے سرداروں نے دیکھا کہ وہ شاہِ اسرائیل نہیں تو وہ اُس کا پیچھا کرنے سے لوٹ گئے

67 اور کسی شخص نے یوں ہی اپنی کمان کھیچنی اور شاہ اسرائیل کو جوشن کے بندوں کے درمیان مارا ۔ تب اُس نے اپنے سارتھی سے کہا کہ باگ پھیر کر مجھے لشکر سے باہر نکال لے چل کیونکہ میں زخمی ہو گیا ہوں ۔

69 اور اُس دن بڑے گھمسان کا رن پڑا اور اُنہوں نے بادشاہ کو اُس کے رتھ ہی میں ارامیوں کے مقابل سنبھالے رکھا ۔ اور وہ شام کو مر گیا اور خون اُس کے زخم سے بہہ کر رتھ کے پایدان میں بھر گیا ۔

71 اور آفتاب غروب ہوتے ہوئے لشکر میں یہ پکار ہو گئی کہ ہر ایک آدمی اپنے شہر اور ہر ایک آدمی اپنے مُلک کو جائے ۔

73 سو بادشاہ مر گیا اور وہ سامریہ میں پہنچایا گیا اور اُنہوں نے بادشاہ کو سامریہ میں دفن کیا ۔

75 اور اُس رتھ کو سارمریہ کے تالاب میں دھویا ۔ ( کسبیاں یہیں غُسل کرتی تھیں ) اور خداوند کے کلام کے مطابق جو اُس نے فرمایا تھا کتوں نے اُس کا خون چاٹا ۔

77 اور اخی اب کی باقی باتیں اور سب کچھ جو اُس نے کیا تھا اور ہاتھی دانت کا گھر جو اُس نے بنایا تھا اور اُن سب شہروں کا حال جو اُس نے تعمیر کیے سو کیا وہ اسرائیل کے بادشاہوں کی تواریخ کی کتاب میں قلمبند نہیں ؟

79 اور اخی اب اپنے باپ دادا کے ساتھ سو گیا اور اُس کا بیٹا اخزیاہ اُس کی جگہ بادشاہ ہوا۔

81 اور آسا کا بیٹا یہوسفط شاہِ اسرائیل اخی اب کے چوتھے سال سے یہوداہ پر سلطنت کرنے لگا ۔

83 اور یہوسفط سلطنت کرنے لگا تو پینتس برس کا تھا اور اُس نے یروشلیم میں پچس برس سلطنت کی اُس کی ماں کا نام عزوبہ تھا جو سلحی کی بیٹی تھی ۔

85 وہ اپن باپ آسا کے نقشِ قدم پر چلا اُس سے مُڑا نہیں اور جو خداوند کی نگاہ میں ٹھیک تھا اُسے کرتا رہا تو بھی اونچے مقام ڈھائے نہ گئے لوگ اُن اونچے مقاموں پر ہنوز قُربانی کرتے اور بخور جلاتے تھے ۔

87 اور یہوسفط نے شاہِ اسرائیل سے صلح کی ۔

89 اور یہوسفط کی باقی باتیں اور اُس کی قوت جو اُس نے دکھائی اور اُس کے جنگ کرنے کی کیفیت سو کیا وہ یہودا ہ کے بادشاہوں کی تواریخ کی کتا ب میں قلمبند نہیں ؟

91 اور اُس نے باقی لوطیوں کو جو اُس کے باپ آسا کے عہد میں رہ گئے تھے مُلک سے خارج کر دیا۔

93 اور ادوم میں کوئی بادشا ہ نہ تھا بلکہ ایک نائب حکومت کرتا تھا ۔

95 اور یہوسفط نے ترسیس کے جہاز بنائے تاکہ اوفیر کو سونے کے لیے جائیں پر وہ گئے نہیں کیونکہ وہ عصیون جابر ہی میں ٹوٹ گئے ۔

97 تب اخی اب کے بیٹے اخزیاہ نے یہوسفط سے کہا اپنے خادموں کے ساتھ میرے خادموں کو بھی جہازوں میں جانے دے پر یہوسفط راضی نہ ہوا ۔

99 اور یہوسفط اپنے باپ دادا کے ساتھ سو گیا اور اپنے باپ داود کے شہر میں اپنے باپ دادا کے ساتھ دفن ہوا اور اُس کا بیٹا یہورام اُس کی جگہ بادشاہ ہوا ۔

101 اور اخی اب کا بیٹا اخزیاہ شاہِ یہوداہ یہوسفط کے سترویں سال سے سامریہ میں اسرائیل پر سلطنت کرنے لگا اور اُس نے اسرائیل پر دو برس سلطنت کی ۔

103 اور اُس نے خداوند کی نظر میں بدی کی اور اپنے باپ کی راہ اور اپنی ماں کی راہ اور نباط کے بیٹے یُربعام کی راہ پر چلا جس سے اُس نے بنی اسرائیل سے گناہ کرایا ۔

105 اور اپنے باپ کے سب کاموں کے موافق بعل کی پرستش کرتا اور اُس کو سجدہ کرتا رہا اور خداوند اسرائیل کے خدا کو غصہ دلایا۔

2 And it came to pass ^H1961 in the third ^H7992 year, ^H8141 that Jehoshaphat ^H3092 the king ^H4428 of Judah ^H3063 came down ^H3381 to ^H413 the king ^H4428 of Israel. ^H3478

3 And the king ^H4428 of Israel ^H3478 said ^H559 unto ^H413 his servants, ^H5650 Know ^H3045 ye that ^H3588 Ramoth in Gilead ^H7433 is ours , and we ^H587 be still, ^H2814 and take ^H4480 ^H3947 it not out of the hand ^H4480 ^H3027 of the king ^H4428 of Syria ^H758 ?

4 And he said ^H559 unto ^H413 Jehoshaphat, ^H3092 Wilt thou go ^H1980 with ^H854 me to battle ^H4421 to Ramoth- ^H7433 gilead? And Jehoshaphat ^H3092 said ^H559 to ^H413 the king ^H4428 of Israel, ^H3478 I am as thou art , my people ^H5971 as thy people, ^H5971 my horses ^H5483 as thy horses. ^H5483

5 And Jehoshaphat ^H3092 said ^H559 unto ^H413 the king ^H4428 of Israel, ^H3478 Inquire, ^H1875 I pray thee, ^H4994 at ^H853 the word ^H1697 of the LORD ^H3068 today. ^H3117

6 Then the king ^H4428 of Israel ^H3478 gathered the prophets together ^H6908 ^H853 ^H5030 , about four ^H702 hundred ^H3967 men, ^H376 and said ^H559 unto ^H413 them , Shall I go ^H1980 against ^H5921 Ramoth- ^H7433 gilead to battle, ^H4421 or ^H518 shall I forbear ^H2308 ? And they said, ^H559 Go up; ^H5927 for the Lord ^H136 shall deliver ^H5414 it into the hand ^H3027 of the king. ^H4428

7 And Jehoshaphat ^H3092 said, ^H559 Is there not ^H369 here ^H6311 a prophet ^H5030 of the LORD ^H3068 besides, ^H5750 that we might inquire ^H1875 of ^H4480 ^H854 him?

8 And the king ^H4428 of Israel ^H3478 said ^H559 unto ^H413 Jehoshaphat, ^H3092 There is yet ^H5750 one ^H259 man, ^H376 Micaiah ^H4321 the son ^H1121 of Imlah, ^H3229 by ^H4480 ^H854 whom we may inquire ^H1875 of ^H853 the LORD: ^H3068 but I ^H589 hate ^H8130 him; for ^H3588 he doth not ^H3808 prophesy ^H5012 good ^H2896 concerning ^H5921 me, but ^H3588 ^H518 evil. ^H7451 And Jehoshaphat ^H3092 said, ^H559 Let not ^H408 the king ^H4428 say ^H559 so. ^H3651

9 Then the king ^H4428 of Israel ^H3478 called ^H7121 ^H413 an ^H259 officer, ^H5631 and said, ^H559 Hasten ^H4116 hither Micaiah ^H4321 the son ^H1121 of Imlah. ^H3229

10 And the king ^H4428 of Israel ^H3478 and Jehoshaphat ^H3092 the king ^H4428 of Judah ^H3063 sat ^H3427 each ^H376 on ^H5921 his throne, ^H3678 having put on ^H3847 their robes, ^H899 in a void place ^H1637 in the entrance ^H6607 of the gate ^H8179 of Samaria; ^H8111 and all ^H3605 the prophets ^H5030 prophesied ^H5012 before ^H6440 them.

11 And Zedekiah ^H6667 the son ^H1121 of Chenaanah ^H3668 made ^H6213 him horns ^H7161 of iron: ^H1270 and he said, ^H559 Thus ^H3541 saith ^H559 the LORD, ^H3068 With these ^H428 shalt thou push ^H5055 ^H853 the Syrians, ^H758 until ^H5704 thou have consumed ^H3615 them.

12 And all ^H3605 the prophets ^H5030 prophesied ^H5012 so, ^H3651 saying, ^H559 Go up ^H5927 to Ramoth- ^H7433 gilead , and prosper: ^H6743 for the LORD ^H3068 shall deliver ^H5414 it into the king's ^H4428 hand. ^H3027

13 And the messenger ^H4397 that ^H834 was gone ^H1980 to call ^H7121 Micaiah ^H4321 spoke ^H1696 unto ^H413 him, saying, ^H559 Behold ^H2009 now, ^H4994 the words ^H1697 of the prophets ^H5030 declare good ^H2896 unto ^H413 the king ^H4428 with one ^H259 mouth: ^H6310 let thy word, ^H1697 I pray thee, ^H4994 be ^H1961 like the word ^H1697 of one ^H259 of them, ^H4480 and speak ^H1696 that which is good. ^H2896

14 And Micaiah ^H4321 said, ^H559 As the LORD ^H3068 liveth, ^H2416 what ^H834 the LORD ^H3068 saith ^H559 unto ^H413 me , that will I speak. ^H1696

15 So he came ^H935 to ^H413 the king. ^H4428 And the king ^H4428 said ^H559 unto ^H413 him, Micaiah, ^H4321 shall we go ^H1980 against ^H413 Ramoth- ^H7433 gilead to battle, ^H4421 or ^H518 shall we forbear ^H2308 ? And he answered ^H559 ^H413 him, Go, ^H5927 and prosper: ^H6743 for the LORD ^H3068 shall deliver ^H5414 it into the hand ^H3027 of the king. ^H4428

16 And the king ^H4428 said ^H559 unto ^H413 him, How ^H5704 many ^H4100 times ^H6471 shall I ^H589 adjure ^H7650 thee that ^H834 thou tell ^H1696 ^H413 me nothing ^H3808 but ^H7535 that which is true ^H571 in the name ^H8034 of the LORD ^H3068 ?

17 And he said, ^H559 I saw ^H7200 ^H853 all ^H3605 Israel ^H3478 scattered ^H6327 upon ^H413 the hills, ^H2022 as sheep ^H6629 that ^H834 have not ^H369 a shepherd: ^H7462 and the LORD ^H3068 said, ^H559 These ^H428 have no ^H3808 master: ^H113 let them return ^H7725 every man ^H376 to his house ^H1004 in peace. ^H7965

18 And the king ^H4428 of Israel ^H3478 said ^H559 unto ^H413 Jehoshaphat, ^H3092 Did I not ^H3808 tell ^H559 ^H413 thee that he would prophesy ^H5012 no ^H3808 good ^H2896 concerning ^H5921 me, but ^H3588 ^H518 evil ^H7451 ?

19 And he said, ^H559 Hear ^H8085 thou therefore ^H3651 the word ^H1697 of the LORD: ^H3068 I saw ^H7200 ^H853 the LORD ^H3068 sitting ^H3427 on ^H5921 his throne, ^H3678 and all ^H3605 the host ^H6635 of heaven ^H8064 standing ^H5975 by ^H5921 him on his right hand ^H4480 ^H3225 and on his left ^H4480 ^H8040 .

20 And the LORD ^H3068 said, ^H559 Who ^H4310 shall persuade ^H6601 ^H853 Ahab, ^H256 that he may go up ^H5927 and fall ^H5307 at Ramoth- ^H7433 gilead? And one ^H2088 said ^H559 on this manner, ^H3541 and another ^H2088 said ^H559 on that manner. ^H3541

21 And there came forth ^H3318 a spirit, ^H7307 and stood ^H5975 before ^H6440 the LORD, ^H3068 and said, ^H559 I ^H589 will persuade ^H6601 him.

22 And the LORD ^H3068 said ^H559 unto ^H413 him, Wherewith ^H4100 ? And he said, ^H559 I will go forth, ^H3318 and I will be ^H1961 a lying ^H8267 spirit ^H7307 in the mouth ^H6310 of all ^H3605 his prophets. ^H5030 And he said, ^H559 Thou shalt persuade ^H6601 him , and prevail ^H3201 also: ^H1571 go forth, ^H3318 and do ^H6213 so. ^H3651

23 Now ^H6258 therefore, behold, ^H2009 the LORD ^H3068 hath put ^H5414 a lying ^H8267 spirit ^H7307 in the mouth ^H6310 of all ^H3605 these ^H428 thy prophets, ^H5030 and the LORD ^H3068 hath spoken ^H1696 evil ^H7451 concerning ^H5921 thee.

24 But Zedekiah ^H6667 the son ^H1121 of Chenaanah ^H3668 went near, ^H5066 and smote ^H5221 ^H853 Micaiah ^H4321 on ^H5921 the cheek, ^H3895 and said, ^H559 Which ^H335 way ^H2088 went ^H5674 the Spirit ^H7307 of the LORD ^H3068 from ^H4480 ^H854 me to speak ^H1696 unto ^H854 thee?

25 And Micaiah ^H4321 said, ^H559 Behold, ^H2009 thou shalt see ^H7200 in that ^H1931 day, ^H3117 when ^H834 thou shalt go into ^H935 an inner ^H2315 chamber ^H2315 to hide thyself. ^H2247

26 And the king ^H4428 of Israel ^H3478 said, ^H559 Take ^H3947 ^H853 Micaiah, ^H4321 and carry him back ^H7725 unto ^H413 Amon ^H526 the governor ^H8269 of the city, ^H5892 and to ^H413 Joash ^H3101 the king's ^H4428 son; ^H1121

27 And say, ^H559 Thus ^H3541 saith ^H559 the king, ^H4428 Put ^H7760 ^H853 this ^H2088 fellow in the prison ^H1004 ^H3608 , and feed ^H398 him with bread ^H3899 of affliction ^H3906 and with water ^H4325 of affliction, ^H3906 until ^H5704 I come ^H935 in peace. ^H7965

28 And Micaiah ^H4321 said, ^H559 If ^H518 thou return at all ^H7725 ^H7725 in peace, ^H7965 the LORD ^H3068 hath not ^H3808 spoken ^H1696 by me . And he said, ^H559 Hearken, ^H8085 O people, ^H5971 every ^H3605 one of you.

29 So the king ^H4428 of Israel ^H3478 and Jehoshaphat ^H3092 the king ^H4428 of Judah ^H3063 went up ^H5927 to Ramoth- ^H7433 gilead.

30 And the king ^H4428 of Israel ^H3478 said ^H559 unto ^H413 Jehoshaphat, ^H3092 I will disguise myself, ^H2664 and enter ^H935 into the battle; ^H4421 but put ^H3847 thou ^H859 on thy robes. ^H899 And the king ^H4428 of Israel ^H3478 disguised himself, ^H2664 and went ^H935 into the battle. ^H4421

31 But the king ^H4428 of Syria ^H758 commanded ^H6680 ^H853 his ^H834 thirty ^H7970 and two ^H8147 captains that had rule over ^H8269 his ^H834 chariots, ^H7393 saying, ^H559 Fight ^H3898 neither ^H3808 with ^H854 small ^H6996 nor great, ^H1419 save ^H3588 ^H518 only ^H905 with ^H854 the king ^H4428 of Israel. ^H3478

32 And it came to pass, ^H1961 when the captains ^H8269 of the chariots ^H7393 saw ^H7200 ^H853 Jehoshaphat, ^H3092 that they ^H1992 said, ^H559 Surely ^H389 it ^H1931 is the king ^H4428 of Israel. ^H3478 And they turned aside ^H5493 to fight ^H3898 against ^H5921 him : and Jehoshaphat ^H3092 cried out. ^H2199
