2 کیونکہ بادشاہو اور سرداروں اور یروشلیم کی ساری جماعت نے دوسرے مہینے میں عید فسح منانے کو مشورہ کر لیا تھا۔

3 کیونکہ وہ اُس وقت اُسے اس لیئے نہیں منا سکے کہ کاہنوں نے کافی تعداد میں اپنے آپ کو پاک نہیں کیا تھا اور لوگ بھی یروشلیم میں اکٹھے نہیں ہوئے تھے ۔

4 اور یہ بات بادشاہ اور ساری جماعت کی نظر میں اچھی تھی ۔

5 سو اُنہوں نے حُکم جاری کیا کہ بیرسبع سے دان تک سارے اسرائیل میں منادی کی جائے کہ لوگ یروشلیم میں آکر خُداوند اسرائیل کہ خُدا کے لیئے عید فسح کریں کیونکہ اُنہوں نے ایسی بڑی تعداد میں اُس کو نہیں منایا تھا جیسے لکھا ہے۔

6 سو ہر کارے بادشاہ اور اُس کے سرداروں سے خط لے کر بادشاہ کے حُکم کے مُوافق سارے اسرائیل اور یہوداہ میں پھرے اور کہتے گئے اَے بنی اسرائیل ابرہام اور اضحاق اور اسرائیل کے خُداوند خُدا کی طرف رجوع لاؤ تاکہ وہ تمہارے باقی لوگوں کی طرف جو اسور کے بادشاہوں کے ہاتھ سے بچ رہے ہیں پھر متوجہ ہو۔

7 اور تُم اپنے باپ دادا اور اپنے بھائیوں کی مانند مت ہو جنہوں نے خُداوند اپنے باپ دادا کے خُدا کی نا فرمانی کی یہاں تک کہ اُس نے اُن کو چھوڑ دیا کہ برباد ہوجائیں جیسا تُم دیکھتے ہو۔

8 پس تُم اپنے باپ دادا کی مانندگردن کش نہ بنو بلکہ خُداوند کے بابع ہو جاؤ اور اُس کے مقدس میں آؤ جسے اُس نے ہمیشہ کے لیئے مقدس کیا ہے اور خُداوند اپنے خُدا کی عبادت کرؤ تاکہ اُس کا قہر شدید تُم پر ٹل جائے۔

9 کیونکہ اگر تُم خُداوند کی طرف پھر رجوع لاؤ تو تمہارے بھائی اور تمہارے بیٹے اپنے اسیر کرنے والوں کی نظر میں قابل رحم ٹھہرینگے اور اس مُلک میں پھر آینگے کیونکہ خُداوند تمہارا خُدا غفور و رحیم ہے اور اگر تُم اُس کی طرف پھرو تو وہ تُم سے اپنا مُنہ پھیر نہ لیگا۔

10 سو ہر کارے افرائیم اور منسی کے مُلک میں شہر بہ شہر ہوتے ہوئے زبولون تک گئے پر اُنہوں نے اُن کا تمسخر کیا اور اُن کو ٹھٹھوں میں اُڑایا ۔

11 پھر بھی آشر اور منسی اور زبولون میں سے بعض لوگوں نے فروتنی کی اور یروشلیم کو آئے۔

12 اور یہوداہ پر بھی خُداوند کا ہاتھ کہ اُن کو یکدل بنادے تاکہ وہ خُداوند کے کلام کے مُطابق بادشاہ اور سرداروں کے حُکم پر اعمل کریں۔

13 سو بُہت سے لوگ یروشلیم میں جمع ہوئے کہ دوسرے مہینے میں فطیری روٹی کی عید کریں۔یوں بُہت بڑی جماعت ہو گئی۔

14 اور وہ اُٹھے اور اُن مذبحوں کو جو یروشلیم میں تھے اور بخور کی سب قربان گاہوں کو دُور کیا اور اُن کو قدرُون کے نالے میں ڈال دیا ۔

15 پھر دوسرے مہینے کی چودھویں تاریخ کو اُنہوں نے فسح کو ذبح کیا اور کاہنوں اور لاویوں نے شرمندہ ہو کر اپنے آپ کو پاک کیا او خُداوند کے گھر میں سوختنی قربانیاں لائے۔

16 اور وہ اپنے دستور پر مردِ خُدا موسیٰ کی شریعت کے مُطابق اپنی اپنی جگہ کھڑے ہوئیاور کاہنوں نے لاویوں کے ہاتھ سے خون لے کر چھڑکا۔

17 جماعت میں بُہتیرے ایسے تھے جنہوں نے اپنے آپ کو پاک نہیں کیا تھا اس لیئے یہ کام لاویوں کے سپُرد ہوا کہ وہ سب ناپاک شخصوں کے لئے فسح کے بروں کو ذبح کریں تا کہ وہ خُداوند کے لیئے مُقدس ہوں۔

18 کیونکہ افرائیم اور منسی اور اشکور اور زبولون میں بُہت سے لوگوں نے اپنے آپ کو پاک نہیں کیا تھا تو بھی اُنہوں نے فسح کو جس طرح لکھا ہے اُس طرح سے نہ کھایا کیونکہ حزقیاہ نے اُن کے لیئے یہ دُعا کی تھی کہ خُداوند جو نیک ہے ہر ایک کو۔

19 جس نے خُداوند خُدا اپنے باپ دادا کے خُدا کی طلب میں دل لگایا ہے مُعاف کرے گو وہ مُقدس کی طہارت کے مُطابق پاک نہ ہوا ہو۔

20 اور خُداوند نے حزقیاہ کی سُنی اور لوگوں کو شفا دی۔

21 اور جو بنی اسرائیل یروشلیم میں حاضر تھیاُنہوں نے بڑی خوشی سے سات دن تک عید فطیر منائی اور لاوی اور کاہن بُلند آواز کے باجوں کے ساتھ خُداوند کے حضور گا گا کر ہر روز خُدا کی حمد کرتے رہے۔

22 اور حزقیاہ نے سب لاویوں سے جو خُداوند کی خدمت میں ماہر تھے تسلی بخش باتیں کیں سو وہ عید کے ساتوں دن تک کھاتے اور سلامتی کے ذبیحوں کی قربانیاں چڑھاتے اور خُداوند اپنے باپ دادا کے خُدا کے حضور اقرار کرتے رہے۔

23 پھر ساری جماعت نے اور سات دن ماننے کا مشورہ کیا اور خوشی سے اور سات دن مانے۔

24 کیونکہ شاہِ یہوداہ حزقیاہ نے جماعت کو قربانیوں کے لیئے ایک ہزار بچھڑے اور سات ہزار بھیڑیں عنایت کیں اور سرداروں نے جماعت کو ایک ہزار بچھڑے اور دس ہزار بھیڑیں دیں اور بُہت سے کاہنوں نے اپنے آپ کو پاک کیا۔

25 اور یہوداہ کی ساری جماعت نے کاہنوں اور لاویوں سمیت اور اُس ساری جماعت نے جو اسرائیل میں سے آئی تھی اور اُن پردیسیوں نے جو اسرائیل کے مُلک سے آئے تھے اور جو یہوداہ میں رہتے تھے خوشی منائی۔

2 For the king ^H4428 ^D-NMS had taken counsel ^H3289 , and his princes ^H8269 , and all ^H3605 ^W-CMS the congregation ^H6951 in Jerusalem ^H3389 , to keep ^H6213 ^L-VQFC the passover ^H6453 in the second ^H8145 month ^H2320 ^BD-NMS .

11 Nevertheless ^H389 ^ADV divers ^H376 of Asher ^H836 and Manasseh ^H4519 and of Zebulun ^H2074 humbled themselves ^H3665 , and came ^H935 ^W-VQY3MP to Jerusalem ^H3389 .

27 Then the priests ^H3548 the Levites ^H3881 arose ^H6965 and blessed ^H1288 the people ^H5971 : and their voice ^H6963 was heard ^H8085 , and their prayer ^H8605 came ^H935 ^W-VQY3FS up to his holy ^H6944 dwelling place ^H4583 , even unto heaven ^H8064 .
