3. سو میری کمر میں سخت درد ہے اور میں گویا دردِ زہ میں تڑپتا ہوں ۔ میں ایسا ہراسان ہوں کہ سن نہیں سکتا میں ایسا پریشان ہوں کہ دیکھ نہیں سکتا۔

6. کیونکہ خداوند نے مجھے یوں فرمایا کہ جا نگہبان بٹھا۔ وہ جو کچھ دیکھے سو بتائے۔

8. تب اسنے شیر کیسی آواز سے پکارا اے خداوند! میں اپنی دیدگاہ پر تمام دن کھڑا رہا اور میں نے ہر رات پہرے کی جگہ پر کاٹی۔

9. اور دیکھ سپاہیوں کےغول اور انکے سوار دو دوکر کے آتے ہیں۔ پھر اس نے یوں کہا کہ بابل گر پڑا گر پڑا اور اسکے معبودوں کی سب تراشی ہوئی مورتیں بالکل ٹوٹی پڑی ہیں۔

10. اے میرے گاہے ہوئے اور میرے کھلیہان کے غلہ جو کچھ میں نے رب الافواج اسرائیل کے خدا سے سنا تم سے کہہ دیا۔

11. دومہ کی بابت بار نبوت۔ کسی نے مجھ کو شعیر سے پکارا کہ اے نگہبان رات کی کیا خبر ہے؟ اے نگہبان رات کی کیا خبر ہے؟ ۔

12. نگہبان نے کہا صبح ہوتی ہے اوررات بھی۔ اگر تم پوچھنا چاہتے ہو تو پوچھو۔ تم پھر آنا ۔

13. عرب کی بابت بار نبوت ۔ اے دوانیوں کے قافلو تم عرب کے جنگل میں رات کاٹوگے۔

14. وہ پیاسے کے پاس پانی لائے۔ تیما کی سر زمین کے باشندے روٹی لیکر بھاگنےوالے سے ملنے کو نکلے۔

15. کیونکہ وہ تلواروں کے سامنے سے ننگی تلوار سے اور کھینچی ہوئی کمان سے اورجنگ کی شدت سےبھاگے ہیں۔

16. کیونکہ خداوند نے مجھ سے یہ فرمایا کہ مزدور کے برسوں کے مطابق ایک برس کے اندراندر قیدار کی ساری حشمت جاتی رہیگی۔

17. اورتیرانداوں کی تعداد کا بقیہ یعنی بنی قیدار کے بہادر تھوڑے سے ہونگے کیونکہ خداونداسرائیل کے خدا نے یو ں فرمایا ہے۔
