1 دارا بن اخسویرس جو مادیوں کی نسل سے تھا اور کسدیوں کی ممُلکت پر بادشاہ مُقرر ہُوا اس کے پہلے سال میں ۔

2 یعنی اُس کی سلطنت کے پہلے سال میں دانی ایل نے کتابوں میں اُن برسوں کا حساب سمجھا جن کی بابت خُداوند کا کلام پر میاہ نبی پر نازل ہُوا کہ یروشیلم کی بربادی پر ستر برس پُورے گُزریں گے۔

3 اور میں نے خُداوند خُدا کی طرف رُخ کیا اور میں منت اور مُناجات کر کے اور روزہ رکھ کر اور ٹاٹ اوڑھ کر اور راکھ پر بیٹھ کر اُس کا طالب ہُوا۔

4 اور میں نے خُداوند اپنے خُدا سے دُعا کی اور اقرار کیا اور کہا کہ اے خُداوند عظیم اور مُہیب خُدا تو اپنے فرمانبردار مُحبت رکھنے والوں کے لے اپنے عہد و رحم کو قائم رکھتا ہے۔

5 ہم نے گُناہ کیا۔ ہم بر گشتہ ہُوئے ۔ ہم نے شرارت کی۔ ہم نے بغاوت کی بلکہ ہم نے تیرے احکام و آئین کو ترک کیا ہے۔

6 اور ہم تیرے خدمت گُزار نبیوں کے شنوا نہیں ہُوئے جنہوں نے تیرا نام لے کر ہمارے بادشاہوں اور اُمرا سے اور ہمارے باپ دادا اور مُلک کے سب لوگوں سے کلام کیا۔

7 اے خُداوند صداقت تیرے لے ہے اور رُسوائی ہمارے لے جیسے اب یہُوداہ کے لوگوں اور یروشلیم کے باشندوں اور دُور دُور نزدیک کے تمام بنی اسرائیل کے لے ہے جن کو تو نے تمام ممُالک میں ہانک دیا کیونکہ اُنہوں نے تیرے خلاف گُناہ کیا۔

8 اے خُداوند رُسوائی ہمارے لے ہے۔ ہمارے بادشاہوں ہمارے اُمرا اور ہمارے باپ دادا کے لے کیونکہ ہم تیرے گُنہگار ہُوئے۔

9 ہمارا خُداوند ہمارا خُدا رحیم و غفور ہے اگرچہ ہم نے اُس سے بغاوت کی۔

10 ہم خُداوند اپنے خُدا کی آواز کے شنوا نہیں ہُوئے کہ اُس کی شریعت پر جو اُس نے اپنے خدمت گُزار نبیوں کی معرفت ہمارے لے مُقرر کی عمل کریں۔

11 ہاں تمام بنی اسرائیل نے تیری شریعت کو توڑا اور برگشتگی اختیار کی تا کہ تیری آواز کے شنوا نہ ہُوں ۔ اس لئے وہ لُغت اور قسم جوخُدا کے خادم مُوسٰی کی توریت میں مرقوم ہیں ہم پُوری ہُوئیں کیونکہ ہم اس کے گُنہگار ہُوئے۔

12 اور اس نے جو کچھ ہمارے اور ہمارے قاضیوں کے خلاف جو ہماری عدالت کرتے تھے فرمایا تھا ہم پر بلای عظیم لا کر ثابت کر دکھایا کیونکہ جو کُچھ یروشیلم سے کیا گیا وہ تمام جہان میں اور کہیں نہیں ہوا۔

13 جیسا موسٰی کی توریت میں مرقوم ہے یہ تمام مُصیبت ہم پر آئی تو بھی ہم نے خُداوند اپنے خُدا سے التجا نہ کی کہ ہم اپنی بدکرداری سے باز آتے اور تیری سچائی کو پہچانتے۔

14 اس لے خُداوند نے بلا کو نگاہ میں رکھا اور اُس کو ہم پر نازل کیا کیونکہ خُداوند ہمارا خُدا اپنے سب کاموں میں جو وہ کرتا ہے صادق ہے لیکن ہم اس کی آواز کے شنوا نہ ہُوئے۔

15 اور اب اے خُدا وند ہمارے خُدا جو زور آور بازُو سے اپنے لوگوں کو مُلک مصر سے نکال لایا اور اپنے لے نام پیدا کیا جسیا آج کے دن ہے ہم نے گُناہ کیا۔ ہم نے شرارت کی۔

16 اے خُدا وند میں تیری منت کرتا ہُوں کہ تو اپنی تمام صداقت کے مطابق اپنے قہر و غضب کو اپنے شہر یروشیلم یعنی اپنے کوہ مُقدس سے مُوقوف کر کیونکہ ہمارے گُناہوں اور ہمارے باپ دادا کی بدکرداری کے سبب سے یروشیلم اور تیرے لوگ اپنے سب آس پاس والوں کے نزدیک جای ملامت ہُوئے۔

17 پس اب اے ہمارے خُدا اپنے خادم کی دُعا اور التماس سُن اور اپنے چہرہ کو اپنی ہی خاطر اپنے مقدس پر جو ویران ہے جلوہ گر فرما۔

18 اے میرے خُدا کان لگا کر سُن اور آنکھیں کھول کر ہمارے ویرانوں کو اور اُس شہر کو جو تیرے نام سے کہلاتا ہے دیکھ کہ ہم تیرے حضُور اپنی راست بازی پر نہیں بلکہ تیری بے نہایت رحمت پر تکیہ کر کے مُناجات کرتے ہیں۔

19 اے خُداوند سُن ۔ اے خُداوند مُعاف فرما۔ اے خُداوند سُن لے اور کُچھ کر۔ اے میرے خُدا اپنے نام کی خاطر دیرنہ کر کیونکہ تیرا شہر اور تیرے لوگ تیرے ہی نام سے کہلاتے ہیں۔

20 اور جب میں یہ کہتا اور دُعا کرتا اور اپنے اور اپنی قوم اسرائیل کے گُناہوں کا اقرار کرتا تھا اور خُداوند اپنے خُدا کے حضُور اپنے خُدا کے کوہ مُقدس کے لے مُناجات کر رہا تھا۔

21 ہاں میں دُعا میں یہ کہہ ہی رہا تھا کہ وہی شخص جبرائیل جسے میں نے شروع میں رویا دیکھا تھا حُکم کے مُطابق تیز پروازی کرتا ہُوا آیا اور شام کی قربانی گُزراننے کے وقت کے قریب مُجھے چُھوا۔

22 اور اُس نے مُجھے سمجھایا اور مُجھ سے باتیں کیں اور کہا سے دانی ایل میں اب اس لے آیا ہُوں کہ تجھے دانش و فہم بخُشوں ۔

23 تیری مُناجات کے شُروع ہی میں حُکم صادر ہُوا اور میں آیا ہُوں کہ تجھے بتاوں کیونکہ تو بہت عزیز ہے۔ پس تو غور کر اور رویا کو سمجھ لے۔

24 تیرے لوگوں اور تیرے مُقدس شہر کے لے سترّ ہفتے مُقرر کے گے کہ خطا کاری اور گُناہ کا خاتمہ ہو جاے ۔ بدکردای کا کفارہ دیا جائے۔ ابدی راست بازی قائم ہو۔ رویا نبُوت پر مُہر ہو اور پاکترین مقام ممسُوح کیا جائے۔

25 پس تو معلوم کر اور سمجھ لے کہ یروشیلم کی بحالی اور تعمیر کا حُکم صادر ہونے سے ممسوح فرمانروا تک سات ہفتے اور باسٹھ ہفتے ہوں گے۔ تب پھر بازار تعمیر کئے جائیں گے اور فصیل بنائی جائے گی مگر مُصیبت کے ایّام میں ۔

26 اور باسٹھ ہفتوں کے بعد وہ ممسوح قتل کیا جائے گا اور اُس کا کچھ نہ رہے گا اور ایک بادشاہ آے گا جس کے لوگ شہر اور مقدس کو مسمار کریں گے اور اُس کا انجام گویا طُوفان کے ساتھ ہوگا اور آخر تک لڑائی رہے گی۔ بربادی مُقرر ہو چُکی ہے۔

27 اور وہ ایک ہفتے کے لے بُہتوں سے عہد قائم کرے گا اور نصف ہفتہ میں ذبیحہ اور ہدیہ موقوف کرے گا اور فصیلوں پر اُجاڑنے والی مکُروہات رکھی جائیں گی یہاں تک کہ بربادی کمال کو پُہنچ جائے گی اور وہ بلا جو مُقرر کی گئی ہے اُس اجاڑ نے والے پر واقع ہو گئی۔

3 And I set ^H5414 ^H853 my face ^H6440 unto ^H413 the Lord ^H136 God, ^H430 to seek ^H1245 by prayer ^H8605 and supplications, ^H8469 with fasting, ^H6685 and sackcloth, ^H8242 and ashes: ^H665

4 And I prayed ^H6419 unto the LORD ^H3068 my God, ^H430 and made my confession, ^H3034 and said, ^H559 O ^H577 Lord, ^H136 the great ^H1419 and dreadful ^H3372 God, ^H410 keeping ^H8104 the covenant ^H1285 and mercy ^H2617 to them that love ^H157 him , and to them that keep ^H8104 his commandments; ^H4687

5 We have sinned, ^H2398 and have committed iniquity, ^H5753 and have done wickedly, ^H7561 and have rebelled, ^H4775 even by departing ^H5493 from thy precepts ^H4480 ^H4687 and from thy judgments ^H4480 ^H4941 :

6 Neither ^H3808 have we hearkened ^H8085 unto ^H413 thy servants ^H5650 the prophets, ^H5030 which ^H834 spoke ^H1696 in thy name ^H8034 to ^H413 our kings, ^H4428 our princes, ^H8269 and our fathers, ^H1 and to ^H413 all ^H3605 the people ^H5971 of the land. ^H776

7 O Lord, ^H136 righteousness ^H6666 belongeth unto thee , but unto us confusion ^H1322 of faces, ^H6440 as at this ^H2088 day; ^H3117 to the men ^H376 of Judah, ^H3063 and to the inhabitants ^H3427 of Jerusalem, ^H3389 and unto all ^H3605 Israel, ^H3478 that are near, ^H7138 and that are far off, ^H7350 through all ^H3605 the countries ^H776 whither ^H834 ^H8033 thou hast driven ^H5080 them , because of their trespass ^H4604 that ^H834 they have trespassed ^H4603 against thee.

8 O Lord, ^H3068 to us belongeth confusion ^H1322 of face, ^H6440 to our kings, ^H4428 to our princes, ^H8269 and to our fathers, ^H1 because ^H834 we have sinned ^H2398 against thee.

9 To the Lord ^H136 our God ^H430 belong mercies ^H7356 and forgivenesses, ^H5547 though ^H3588 we have rebelled ^H4775 against him;

10 Neither ^H3808 have we obeyed ^H8085 the voice ^H6963 of the LORD ^H3068 our God, ^H430 to walk ^H1980 in his laws, ^H8451 which ^H834 he set ^H5414 before ^H6440 us by ^H3027 his servants ^H5650 the prophets. ^H5030

11 Yea, all ^H3605 Israel ^H3478 have transgressed ^H5674 ^H853 thy law, ^H8451 even by departing, ^H5493 that they might not ^H1115 obey ^H8085 thy voice; ^H6963 therefore the curse ^H423 is poured ^H5413 upon ^H5921 us , and the oath ^H7621 that ^H834 is written ^H3789 in the law ^H8451 of Moses ^H4872 the servant ^H5650 of God, ^H430 because ^H3588 we have sinned ^H2398 against him.

24 Seventy ^H7657 weeks ^H7620 are determined ^H2852 upon ^H5921 thy people ^H5971 and upon ^H5921 thy holy ^H6944 city, ^H5892 to finish ^H3607 the transgression, ^H6588 and to make an end ^H2856 of sins, ^H2403 and to make reconciliation ^H3722 for iniquity, ^H5771 and to bring in ^H935 everlasting ^H5769 righteousness, ^H6664 and to seal up ^H2856 the vision ^H2377 and prophecy, ^H5030 and to anoint ^H4886 the most Holy ^H6944 ^H6944 .

25 Know ^H3045 therefore and understand, ^H7919 that from ^H4480 the going forth ^H4161 of the commandment ^H1697 to restore ^H7725 and to build ^H1129 Jerusalem ^H3389 unto ^H5704 the Messiah ^H4899 the Prince ^H5057 shall be seven ^H7651 weeks, ^H7620 and threescore ^H8346 and two ^H8147 weeks: ^H7620 the street ^H7339 shall be built ^H1129 again, ^H7725 and the wall, ^H2742 even in troublous ^H6695 times. ^H6256

26 And after ^H310 threescore ^H8346 and two ^H8147 weeks ^H7620 shall Messiah ^H4899 be cut off, ^H3772 but not ^H369 for himself : and the people ^H5971 of the prince ^H5057 that shall come ^H935 shall destroy ^H7843 the city ^H5892 and the sanctuary; ^H6944 and the end ^H7093 thereof shall be with a flood, ^H7858 and unto ^H5704 the end ^H7093 of the war ^H4421 desolations ^H8074 are determined. ^H2782

27 And he shall confirm ^H1396 the covenant ^H1285 with many ^H7227 for one ^H259 week: ^H7620 and in the midst ^H2677 of the week ^H7620 he shall cause the sacrifice ^H2077 and the oblation ^H4503 to cease, ^H7673 and for ^H5921 the overspreading ^H3671 of abominations ^H8251 he shall make it desolate, ^H8074 even until ^H5704 the consummation, ^H3617 and that determined ^H2782 shall be poured ^H5413 upon ^H5921 the desolate. ^H8076
