33 இதைக் கேட்ட அரசன் கலக்கமடைந்தான். அவன் பட்டணத்து வாசலின்மேல் இருந்த அறைக்குச் சென்று அழுதான். அவன் போகும்போதே, “என் மகன் அப்சலோமே, என் மகனே, என் மகன் அப்சலோமே, உனக்குப் பதிலாக நான் இறந்திருக்கக் கூடாதோ; என் மகன் அப்சலோமே, என் மகனே, என் மகனே!” என்று சொல்லி அழுதுகொண்டே போனான்.

ERVTE   దానితో అబ్షాలోము చనిపోయాడని రాజుకు అర్థమయింది. రాజు మిక్కిలి కలతపడిపోయాడు. నగర ద్వారం మీద వున్న గది వద్దకు వెళ్లాడు. అక్కడ బాగా విలపించాడు. గదిలోకి వెళ్లాడు. గదిలోకి పోతూ, “నా కుమారుడా, అబ్షాలోమా! నా కుమారుడా, అబ్షాలోమా! నీ బదులు నేను చనిపోయి వుండవలసింది. అబ్షాలోమా! నా కుమారుడా, నా కుమారుడా!” అని దుఃఖించాడు.

ERVKN   ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ಸತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆಂಬುದು ಆಗ ರಾಜನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಿತು. ರಾಜನು ಬಹಳ ತಳಮಳಗೊಂಡನು. ಅವನು ನಗರ ದ್ವಾರದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಕೊಠಡಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಗೋಳಾಡಿದನು. ಬಳಿಕ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಕೊಠಡಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾ, “ನನ್ನ ಮಗನೇ, ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನೇ! ನಿನಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಸತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿತ್ತು. ನನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಮಗನೇ!” ಎಂದು ಗೋಳಾಡಿದನು.
