Ezekiel 39:6 (ERVEN) Easy to Read - English

1 "Son of man, speak against Gog for me. Tell him that this is what the Lord God says: 'Gog, you are the most important leader of the countries Meshech and Tubal, but I am against you.
2 I will capture you and bring you back. I will bring you from the far north. I will bring you to fight against the mountains of Israel.
3 But I will knock your bow from your left hand and your arrows from your right hand.
4 You will be killed on the mountains of Israel. You, your groups of soldiers, and all the other nations with you will be killed in the battle. I will give you as food to every kind of bird that eats meat and to all the wild animals.
5 You will not enter the city. You will be killed out in the open fields. I have spoken!'" This is what the Lord God said.
6 "I will send fire against Magog and those people living along the coast. They think they are safe, but they will know that I am the Lord.
7 And I will make my holy name known among my people Israel. I will not let people ruin my holy name anymore. The nations will know that I am the Lord. They will know that I am the Holy One in Israel.
8 That time is coming! It will happen!" This is what the Lord said. "That is the day I am talking about.
9 "At that time people living in the cities of Israel will go out to the fields. They will collect the enemy's weapons and burn them. They will burn all the shields, bows and arrows, clubs and spears. They will use the weapons as firewood for seven years.
10 They will not have to gather wood from the fields or chop firewood from the forests because they will use the weapons as firewood. They will take the valuable things from the soldiers who wanted to steal from them. They will take the good things from the soldiers who took good things from them." This is what the Lord God said.
11 "At that time I will choose a place in Israel to bury Gog. He will be buried in the Valley of the Travelers, east of the Dead Sea. It will block the road for travelers, because Gog and all his army will be buried in that place. People will call it 'The Valley of Gog's Army.'
12 It will take seven months for the family of Israel to bury them. They must do this to make the land pure.
13 The common people will bury the enemy soldiers, and the people will become famous on the day that I bring honor to myself." The Lord God said those things.
14 "Workers will be given a full-time job burying the dead soldiers to make the land pure. The workers will work for seven months. They will go around looking for dead bodies.
15 They will go around looking, and if anyone sees a bone, a marker will be put up by it. The sign will stay there until the gravediggers come and bury the bone in the Valley of Gog's Army.
16 The city of the dead will be named Hamonah. In this way they will make the country pure."
17 This is what the Lord God said: "Son of man, speak to all the birds and wild animals for me. Tell them, 'Come here! Come here! Gather around. Come eat this sacrifice I am preparing for you. There will be a very big sacrifice on the mountains of Israel. Come, eat the meat and drink the blood.
18 You will eat the meat from the bodies of powerful soldiers and drink the blood from world leaders. They will be like rams, lambs, goats, and fat bulls from Bashan.
19 You can eat all the fat you want and drink blood until you are full. You will eat and drink from my sacrifice, which I will kill for you.
20 You will have plenty of meat to eat at my table. There will be horses and chariot drivers, powerful soldiers, and all the other fighting men.'" This is what the Lord God said.
21 "I will let the other nations see what I have done, and they will begin to respect me! They will see my power that I used against the enemy.
22 Then from that day on, the family of Israel will know that I am the Lord their God.
23 And the nations will know why the family of Israel was carried away as prisoners to other countries. They will learn that my people turned against me, so I turned away from them. I let their enemies defeat them, so my people were killed in battle.
24 They sinned and made themselves filthy, so I punished them for the things they did. I turned away from them and refused to help them."
25 So this is what the Lord God says: "Now I will bring the family of Jacob back from captivity. I will have mercy on the whole family of Israel. I will show my strong feelings for my holy name.
26 The people will forget their shame and all the times they turned against me. They will live in safety on their own land. No one will make them afraid.
27 I will bring my people back from other countries. I will gather them from the lands of their enemies. Then many nations will see how holy I am.
28 They will know that I am the Lord their God. That is because I made them leave their homes and go as prisoners to other countries. But then I gathered them together again and brought them back to their own land.
29 I will pour out my Spirit on the family of Israel, and I will never turn away from my people again." This is what the Lord God said.
1 Therefore , thou H859 W-PPRO-2MS son H1121 CMS of man H120 NMS , prophesy H5012 against H5921 PREP Gog H1463 , and say H559 , Thus H3541 saith H559 VQQ3MS the Lord H136 EDS GOD H3069 ; Behold H2009 , I am against H413 PREP-2MS thee , O Gog H1463 , the chief H7218 NMS prince H5387 of Meshech H4902 and Tubal H8422 :
2 And I will turn thee back H7725 , and leave but the sixth part H8338 of thee , and will cause thee to come up H5927 from the north H6828 NFS parts H3411 , and will bring H935 thee upon H5921 PREP the mountains H2022 CMP of Israel H3478 LMS :
3 And I will smite H5221 thy bow H7198 out of thy left H8040 hand H3027 M-GFS , and will cause thine arrows H2671 to fall H5307 out of thy right H3225 hand H3027 M-GFS .
4 Thou shalt fall H5307 upon H5921 PREP the mountains H2022 CMP of Israel H3478 , thou H859 PPRO-2MS , and all H3605 NMS thy bands H102 , and the people H5971 that H834 RPRO is with H854 PART-2MS thee : I will give H5414 thee unto the ravenous H5861 birds H6833 CMS of every H3605 NMS sort H3671 GFS , and to the beasts H2416 W-CFS of the field H7704 D-NMS to be devoured H402 L-NFS .
5 Thou shalt fall H5307 upon H5921 PREP the open H6440 CMP field H7704 D-NMS : for H3588 CONJ I H589 PPRO-1MS have spoken H1696 it , saith H5002 the Lord H136 EDS GOD H3069 .
6 And I will send H7971 a fire H784 CMS on Magog H4031 , and among them that dwell H3427 carelessly H983 L-NMS in the isles H339 : and they shall know H3045 that H3588 CONJ I H589 PPRO-1MS am the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS .
7 So will I make H3045 my holy H6944 name H8034 CMS known H3045 in the midst H8432 B-NMS of my people H5971 Israel H3478 ; and I will not H3808 W-NPAR let them pollute H2490 my holy H6944 name H8034 CMS any more H5750 ADV : and the heathen H1471 D-NMP shall know H3045 that H3588 CONJ I H589 PPRO-1MS am the LORD H3068 EDS , the Holy One H6918 in Israel H3478 .
8 Behold H2009 IJEC , it is come H935 , and it is done H1961 , saith H5002 the Lord H136 EDS GOD H3069 ; this H1931 PPRO-3MS is the day H3117 D-AMS whereof H834 RPRO I have spoken H1696 .
9 And they that dwell H3427 in the cities H5892 of Israel H3478 shall go forth H3318 , and shall set on fire H1197 and burn H5400 the weapons H5402 , both the shields H4043 and the bucklers H6793 , the bows H7198 and the arrows H2671 , and the handstaves H3027 NFS , and the spears H7420 , and they shall burn H1197 them with fire H784 CMS seven H7651 MFS years H8141 :
10 So that they shall take H5375 VQY3MP no H3808 W-NPAR wood H6086 out of H4480 PREP the field H7704 D-NMS , neither H3808 W-NPAR cut down H2404 any out of H4480 PREP the forests H3293 ; for H3588 CONJ they shall burn H1197 the weapons H5402 with fire H784 CMS : and they shall spoil H7997 those that spoiled H7997 them , and rob H962 those that robbed H962 them , saith H5002 the Lord H136 EDS GOD H3069 .
11 And it shall come to pass H1961 W-VQQ3MS in that H1931 PPRO-3FS day H3117 , that I will give H5414 VQY1MS unto Gog H1463 a place H4725 there H8033 ADV of graves H6913 in Israel H3478 , the valley H1516 of the passengers H5674 on the east H6926 CFS of the sea H3220 D-NMS : and it H1931 PPRO-3FS shall stop H2629 the noses of the passengers H5674 : and there H8033 ADV shall they bury H6912 Gog H1463 and all H3605 NMS his multitude H1995 : and they shall call H7121 W-VQQ3MP it The valley H1516 of Hamon H1996 - gog .
12 And seven H7651 NUM-MS months H2320 shall the house H1004 CMS of Israel H3478 be burying H6912 of them , that H4616 L-CONJ they may cleanse H2891 the land H776 D-GFS .
13 Yea , all H3605 NMS the people H5971 NMS of the land H776 D-GFS shall bury H6912 them ; and it shall be H1961 W-VQQ3MS to them a renown H8034 the day H3117 NMS that I shall be glorified H3513 , saith H5002 the Lord H136 EDS GOD H3069 .
14 And they shall sever out H914 men H376 W-CMP of continual employment H8548 , passing H5674 through the land H776 B-NFS to bury H6912 with the passengers H5674 those that remain H3498 upon H5921 PREP the face H6440 CMP of the earth H776 D-GFS , to cleanse H2891 it : after the end H7097 M-CMS of seven H7651 MMS months H2320 shall they search H2713 .
15 And the passengers H5674 that pass through H5674 the land H776 B-NFS , when any seeth H7200 a man H120 NMS \'s bone H6106 GFS , then shall he set up H1129 a sign H6725 by H681 it , till H5704 PREP the buriers H6912 have buried H6912 it in H413 PREP the valley H1516 of Hamon H1996 - gog .
16 And also H1571 W-CONJ the name H8034 of the city H5892 GFS shall be Hamonah H1997 . Thus shall they cleanse H2891 the land H776 D-GFS .
17 And , thou H859 W-PPRO-2MS son H1121 CMS of man H120 NMS , thus H3541 saith H559 VQQ3MS the Lord H136 EDS GOD H3069 ; Speak H559 unto every H3605 NMS feathered H3671 GFS fowl H6833 , and to every H3605 NMS beast H2416 CFS of the field H7704 D-NMS , Assemble yourselves H6908 , and come H935 ; gather yourselves H622 on every side H5439 M-ADV to H5921 PREP my sacrifice H2077 that H834 RPRO I H589 PPRO-1MS do sacrifice H2076 for you , even a great H1419 AMS sacrifice H2077 NMS upon H5921 PREP the mountains H2022 CMP of Israel H3478 , that ye may eat H398 flesh H1320 NMS , and drink H8354 blood H1818 NMS .
18 Ye shall eat H398 the flesh H1320 CMS of the mighty H1368 , and drink H8354 the blood H1818 of the princes H5387 of the earth H776 D-GFS , of rams H352 NMP , of lambs H3733 , and of goats H6260 , of bullocks H6499 , all H3605 CMS-3MP of them fatlings H4806 of Bashan H1316 .
19 And ye shall eat H398 fat H2459 till ye be full H7654 , and drink H8354 blood H1818 NMS till ye be drunken H7943 , of my sacrifice H2077 which H834 RPRO I have sacrificed H2076 for you .
20 Thus ye shall be filled H7646 at H5921 PREP my table H7979 with horses H5483 and chariots H7393 , with mighty men H1368 AMS , and with all H3605 W-CMS men H376 NMS of war H4421 NFS , saith H5002 the Lord H136 EDS GOD H3069 .
21 And I will set H5414 my glory H3519 CMS-1MS among the heathen H1471 , and all H3605 CMS the heathen H1471 D-NMP shall see H7200 my judgment H4941 CMS-1MS that H834 RPRO I have executed H6213 VQQ1MS , and my hand H3027 CFS-1MS that H834 RPRO I have laid H7760 VQQ1MS upon them .
22 So the house H1004 CMS of Israel H3478 shall know H3045 that H3588 CONJ I H589 PPRO-1MS am the LORD H3068 EDS their God H430 from H4480 PREP that H1931 D-PPRO-3MS day H3117 D-AMS and forward H1973 .
23 And the heathen H1471 D-NMP shall know H3045 that H3588 CONJ the house H1004 of Israel H3478 went into captivity H1540 for their iniquity H5771 : because H5921 PREP they trespassed H4603 against me , therefore hid H5641 I my face H6440 NMP-1MS from H4480 them , and gave H5414 them into the hand H3027 B-CFS of their enemies H6862 : so fell H5307 W-VQY3MP they all H3605 CMS-3MP by the sword H2719 .
24 According to their uncleanness H2932 and according to their transgressions H6588 have I done H6213 VQQ1MS unto them , and hid H5641 my face H6440 NMP-1MS from H4480 them .
25 Therefore H3651 L-ADV thus H3541 saith H559 VQQ3MS the Lord H136 EDS GOD H3069 ; Now H6258 ADV will I bring again H7725 the captivity H7622 CFS of Jacob H3290 , and have mercy H7355 upon the whole H3605 NMS house H1004 CMS of Israel H3478 , and will be jealous H7065 for my holy H6944 name H8034 ;
26 After that they have borne H5375 their shame H3639 , and all H3605 NMS their trespasses H4604 whereby H834 RPRO they have trespassed H4603 against me , when they dwelt H3427 safely H983 L-NMS in H5921 PREP their land H127 , and none H369 W-NPAR made them afraid H2729 .
27 When I have brought them again H7725 from H4480 PREP the people H5971 , and gathered H6908 them out of their enemies H341 \' lands H776 , and am sanctified H6942 in them in the sight H5869 of many H7227 AMP nations H1471 D-NMP ;
28 Then shall they know H3045 that H3588 CONJ I H589 PPRO-1MS am the LORD H3068 EDS their God H430 , which caused them to be led into captivity H1540 among H413 PREP the heathen H1471 D-NMP : but I have gathered H3664 them unto H5921 PREP their own land H127 , and have left H3498 none H3808 W-NPAR of H4480 them any more H5750 ADV there H8033 ADV .
29 Neither H3808 W-NPAR will I hide H5641 my face H6440 NMP-1MS any more H5750 ADV from H4480 them : for H834 RPRO I have poured out H8210 my spirit H7307 CFS-1MS upon H5921 PREP the house H1004 CMS of Israel H3478 , saith H5002 the Lord H136 EDS GOD H3069 .
