1 என் நல்ல தேவனே, நான் உம்மிடம் ஜெபிக்கையில் ஜெபத்தைக் கேட்டருளும். என் விண்ணப்பத்தைக் கேளும், என்னிடம் இரக்கமாயிரும்! என் தொல்லைகளிலிருந்து எனக்கு சற்று விடுதலை தாரும்!
2 ஜனங்களே, எத்தனை நாள் என்னைக் குறித்து அவதூறு பேசுவீர்கள்? என்னைப்பற்றிச் சொல்ல புதுப்புதுப் பொய்களைத் தேடிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறீர்கள். நீங்கள் அப்பொய்களைச் சொல்ல விரும்புகிறீர்கள்.
3 கர்த்தர் தம் நல்ல ஜனங்களின் ஜெபத்தைக் கேட்கிறார். கர்த்தரை நோக்கி ஜெபிக்கும்போது, எனக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கிறார் என்பதை நீங்கள் அறிவீர்கள்.
4 உங்களை ஏதோ ஒன்று துன்புறுத்துவதினால், நீங்கள் கோபங்கொண்டாலும், பாவம் செய்யாதீர்கள். படுக்கைக்குச் செல்கையில் அவற்றைப் பற்றிச் சிந்தியுங்கள், அப்போது அமைதி அடைவீர்கள்.
5 தேவனுக்கு நல்ல பலிகளைக் கொடுத்துக் கர்த்தர் மேல் நம்பிக்கை வையுங்கள்!
6 "நமக்கு தேவனுடைய நன்மையைக் காட்டுவது யார்? கர்த்தாவே! பிரகாசமான உமது முகத்தை நாங்கள் காணட்டும்!" என்று பலர் கூறுகிறார்கள்.
7 கர்த்தாவே! நீர் எனக்கு மகிழ்ச்சியுண்டாக்கினீர்! தானியமும் திராட்சைரசமும் பெருகிய பண்டிகை நாட்களாகிய அறுவடைக் காலத்தைக் காட்டிலும் இப்போது நான் மகிழ்கிறேன்.
8 நான் படுக்கைக்குச் சென்று சமாதானமாய் உறங்குகிறேன். ஏனெனில், கர்த்தாவே, நீர் என்னைப் பாதுகாப்பாய் தூங்கச் செய்கிறீர்.
