1. You shall not sacrifice to Jehovah your God an ox or sheep in which there is a blemish, any evil thing, for it is a hateful thing to Jehovah your God.
|
1. Thou shalt not H3808 sacrifice H2076 unto the LORD H3068 thy God H430 any bullock H7794 , or sheep H7716 , wherein H834 is H1961 blemish H3971 , or any H3605 evilfavoredness H1697 H7451 : for H3588 that H1931 is an abomination H8441 unto the LORD H3068 thy God H430 .

2. When there is found among you, in one of your gates which Jehovah your God is giving to you, a man or woman who does that which is evil in the sight of Jehovah your God, in transgressing His covenant,
|
2. If H3588 there be found H4672 among H7130 you , within any H259 of thy gates H8179 which H834 the LORD H3068 thy God H430 giveth H5414 thee, man H376 or H176 woman H802 , that H834 hath wrought H6213 H853 wickedness H7451 in the sight H5869 of the LORD H3068 thy God H430 , in transgressing H5674 his covenant H1285 ,

3. and has gone and served other gods, and worshiped them; or the sun, or the moon, or of the host of the heavens, which I have not commanded;
|
3. And hath gone H1980 and served H5647 other H312 gods H430 , and worshiped H7812 them , either the sun H8121 , or H176 moon H3394 , or H176 any H3605 of the host H6635 of heaven H8064 , which H834 I have not H3808 commanded H6680 ;

4. and it has been revealed to you, and you have heard, and searching have searched; and, behold, it is true; and the thing is confirmed, that this hateful thing has been done in Israel,

4. And it be told H5046 thee , and thou hast heard H8085 of it , and inquired H1875 diligently H3190 , and, behold H2009 , it be true H571 , and the thing H1697 certain H3559 , that such H2063 abomination H8441 is wrought H6213 in Israel H3478 :

5. then you shall bring out to your gates that man or that woman who has done this evil thing, the man or the woman; and you shall stone them with stones, and they shall die.

5. Then shalt thou bring forth H3318 H853 that H1931 man H376 or H176 that H1931 woman H802 , which H834 have committed H6213 H853 that H2088 wicked H7451 thing H1697 , unto H413 thy gates H8179 , even H853 that man H376 or H176 H853 that woman H802 , and shalt stone H5619 them with stones H68 , till they die H4191 .

6. At the mouth of two witnesses or three witnesses shall he that is to die be put to death. He shall not be put to death at the mouth of one witness.
|
6. At H5921 the mouth H6310 of two H8147 witnesses H5707 , or H176 three H7969 witnesses H5707 , shall he that is worthy of death H4191 be put to death H4191 ; but at H5921 the mouth H6310 of one H259 witness H5707 he shall not H3808 be put to death H4191 .

7. The hand of the witnesses shall be first on him, to put him to death; and the hand of all the people last. And you shall put away the evil from among you.
|
7. The hands H3027 of the witnesses H5707 shall be H1961 first H7223 upon him to put him to death H4191 , and afterward H314 the hands H3027 of all H3605 the people H5971 . So thou shalt put the evil away H1197 H7451 from among H4480 H7130 you.

8. If a matter is too hard for you in judgment, between blood and blood, between cause and cause, or between stroke and stroke, matters of strife within your gates, then you shall rise and go up to the place which Jehovah your God shall choose.
|
8. If H3588 there arise a matter too hard H6381 H1697 for H4480 thee in judgment H4941 , between H996 blood H1818 and blood H1818 , between H996 plea H1779 and plea H1779 , and between H996 stroke H5061 and stroke H5061 , being matters H1697 of controversy H7379 within thy gates H8179 : then shalt thou arise H6965 , and get thee up H5927 into H413 the place H4725 which H834 the LORD H3068 thy God H430 shall choose H977 ;

9. And you shall come in to the priest, of the Levites, and to the judge who is in those days, and shall inquire. And they shall declare the word of judgment to you.

9. And thou shalt come H935 unto H413 the priests H3548 the Levites H3881 , and unto H413 the judge H8199 that H834 shall be H1961 in those H1992 days H3117 , and inquire H1875 ; and they shall show H5046 thee H853 the sentence H1697 of judgment H4941 :

10. And you shall do according to the word which they declare to you from that place which Jehovah shall choose. And you shall be careful to do according to all that they direct you.
|
10. And thou shalt do H6213 according to H5921 H6310 the sentence H1697 , which H834 they of H4480 that H1931 place H4725 which H834 the LORD H3068 shall choose H977 shall show H5046 thee ; and thou shalt observe H8104 to do H6213 according to all H3605 that H834 they inform H3384 thee:

11. You shall do according to the mouth of the law which they direct you, and according to the judgment which they deliver to you. You shall not turn aside from the word which they declare to you, right or left.

11. According to H5921 the sentence H6310 of the law H8451 which H834 they shall teach H3384 thee , and according to H5921 the judgment H4941 which H834 they shall tell H559 thee , thou shalt do H6213 : thou shalt not H3808 decline H5493 from H4480 the sentence H1697 which H834 they shall show H5046 thee, to the right hand H3225 , nor to the left H8040 .

12. And the man who acts with pride so as not to listen to the priest who is standing to serve Jehovah your God there, or to the judge, even that man shall die; and you shall put away evil from Israel.
|
12. And the man H376 that H834 will do H6213 presumptuously H2087 , and will not H1115 hearken H8085 unto H413 the priest H3548 that standeth H5975 to minister H8334 there H8033 before H854 the LORD H3068 thy God H430 , or H176 unto H413 the judge H8199 , even that H1931 man H376 shall die H4191 : and thou shalt put away H1197 the evil H7451 from Israel H4480 H3478 .

13. And all the people shall hear, and fear, and shall not presume any more.
|
13. And all H3605 the people H5971 shall hear H8085 , and fear H3372 , and do no H3808 more H5750 presumptuously H2102 .

|
14. When you come into the land which Jehovah your God is giving to you, and have possessed it, and settled in it; and you shall say, Let me set a king over me like all the nations around me,
|
14. When H3588 thou art come H935 unto H413 the land H776 which H834 the LORD H3068 thy God H430 giveth H5414 thee , and shalt possess H3423 it , and shalt dwell H3427 therein , and shalt say H559 , I will set H7760 a king H4428 over H5921 me , like as all H3605 the nations H1471 that H834 are about H5439 me;

15. then you shall certainly set a king over you. You may not give an alien the rule over you, one who is not your brother.
|
15. Thou shalt in any wise set H7760 H7760 him king H4428 over H5921 thee, whom H834 the LORD H3068 thy God H430 shall choose H977 : one from among H4480 H7130 thy brethren H251 shalt thou set H7760 king H4428 over H5921 thee : thou mayest H3201 not H3808 set H5414 a stranger H376 H5237 over H5921 thee, which H834 is not H3808 thy brother H251 .

16. Only, he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to turn back to Egypt so as to multiply horses, since Jehovah has said to you, You shall not again return in this way any more.
|
16. But H7535 he shall not H3808 multiply H7235 horses H5483 to himself, nor H3808 cause H853 the people H5971 to return H7725 to Egypt H4714 , to the end that H4616 he should multiply H7235 horses H5483 : forasmuch as the LORD H3068 hath said H559 unto you , Ye shall henceforth H3254 return H7725 no H3808 more H5750 that H2088 way H1870 .

17. And he shall not multiply wives to himself, and his heart shall not turn aside. And he shall not greatly multiply to himself silver and gold.
|
17. Neither H3808 shall he multiply H7235 wives H802 to himself , that his heart H3824 turn not away H5493 H3808 : neither H3808 shall he greatly H3966 multiply H7235 to himself silver H3701 and gold H2091 .

18. And it shall be, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, he shall write for himself a copy of this Law in a book, from before the priests, the Levites.
|
18. And it shall be H1961 , when he sitteth H3427 upon H5921 the throne H3678 of his kingdom H4467 , that he shall write H3789 him H853 a copy H4932 of this H2063 law H8451 in H5921 a book H5612 out of that which is before H4480 H6440 the priests H3548 the Levites H3881 :

19. And it shall be with him, and he shall read in it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear Jehovah your God, to keep all the Words of this Law and these statutes, to do them;
|
19. And it shall be H1961 with H5973 him , and he shall read H7121 therein all H3605 the days H3117 of his life H2416 : that H4616 he may learn H3925 to fear H3372 H853 the LORD H3068 his God H430 , to keep H8104 H853 all H3605 the words H1697 of this H2063 law H8451 and these H428 statutes H2706 , to do H6213 them:

20. so that his heart may not be lifted up above his brothers, and that he may not turn aside from the commandment, to the right or to the left; so that he may prolong his days over his kingdom, he and his sons in the midst of Israel.

20. That his heart H3824 be not H1115 lifted up H7311 above his brethren H4480 H251 , and that he turn not aside H5493 H1115 from H4480 the commandment H4687 , to the right hand H3225 , or to the left H8040 : to the end that H4616 he may prolong H748 his days H3117 in H5921 his kingdom H4467 , he H1931 , and his children H1121 , in the midst H7130 of Israel H3478 .
