1. וְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵל הִתְיַחְשׂוּ וְהִנָּם כְּתוּבִים עַל־סֵפֶר מַלְכֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וִיהוּדָה הָגְלוּ לְבָבֶל בְּמַעֲלָם׃ ס

|

17. And the porters H7778 were , Shallum H7967 , and Akkub H6126 , and Talmon H2929 , and Ahiman H289 , and their brethren H251 : Shallum H7967 was the chief H7218 ;

18. וְעַד־הֵנָּה בְּשַׁעַר הַמֶּלֶךְ מִזְרָחָה הֵמָּה הַשֹּׁעֲרִים לְמַחֲנֹות בְּנֵי לֵוִי׃
|
18. Who hitherto H5704 H2008 waited in the king H4428 's gate H8179 eastward H4217 : they H1992 were porters H7778 in the companies H4264 of the children H1121 of Levi H3878 .

19. וְשַׁלּוּם בֶּן־קֹורֵא בֶּן־אֶבְיָסָף בֶּן־קֹרַח וְאֶחָיו לְבֵית־אָבִיו הַקָּרְחִים עַל מְלֶאכֶת הָעֲבֹודָה שֹׁמְרֵי הַסִּפִּים לָאֹהֶל וַאֲבֹתֵיהֶם עַל־מַחֲנֵה יְהוָה שֹׁמְרֵי הַמָּבֹוא׃

19. 20. וּפִינְחָס בֶּן־אֶלְעָזָר נָגִיד הָיָה עֲלֵיהֶם לְפָנִים יְהוָה ׀ עִמֹּו׃

23. וְהֵם וּבְנֵיהֶם עַל־הַשְּׁעָרִים לְבֵית־יְהוָה לְבֵית־הָאֹהֶל לְמִשְׁמָרֹות׃

24. לְאַרְבַּע רוּחֹות יִהְיוּ הַשֹּׁעֲרִים מִזְרָח יָמָּה צָפֹונָה וָנֶגְבָּה׃
|

25. וַאֲחֵיהֶם בְּחַצְרֵיהֶם לָבֹוא לְשִׁבְעַת הַיָּמִים מֵעֵת אֶל־עֵת עִם־אֵלֶּה׃
|
25. And their brethren H251 , which were in their villages H2691 , were to come H935 after seven H7651 days H3117 from time H4480 H6256 to H413 time H6256 with H5973 them H428 .

26. כִּי בֶאֱמוּנָה הֵמָּה אַרְבַּעַת גִּבֹּרֵי הַשֹּׁעֲרִים הֵם הַלְוִיִּם וְהָיוּ עַל־הַלְּשָׁכֹות וְעַל הָאֹצְרֹות בֵּית הָאֱלֹהִים׃

27. וּסְבִיבֹות בֵּית־הָאֱלֹהִים יָלִינוּ כִּי־עֲלֵיהֶם מִשְׁמֶרֶת וְהֵם עַל־הַמַּפְתֵּחַ וְלַבֹּקֶר לַבֹּקֶר׃
|

30. וּמִן־בְּנֵי הַכֹּהֲנִים רֹקְחֵי הַמִּרְקַחַת לַבְּשָׂמִים׃
|

|
|
31. וּמַתִּתְיָה מִן־הַלְוִיִּם הוּא הַבְּכֹור לְשַׁלֻּם הַקָּרְחִי בֶּאֱמוּנָה עַל מַעֲשֵׂה הַחֲבִתִּים׃
|

33. וְאֵלֶּה הַמְשֹׁרְרִים רָאשֵׁי אָבֹות לַלְוִיִּם בַּלְּשָׁכֹת פְּטִירִים כ (פְּטוּרִים ק) כִּי־יֹומָם וָלַיְלָה עֲלֵיהֶם בַּמְּלָאכָה׃

34. אֵלֶּה רָאשֵׁי הָאָבֹות לַלְוִיִּם לְתֹלְדֹותָם רָאשִׁים אֵלֶּה יָשְׁבוּ בִירוּשָׁלִָם׃ פ

|

36. וּבְנֹו הַבְּכֹור עַבְדֹּון וְצוּר וְקִישׁ וּבַעַל וְנֵר וְנָדָב׃

38. וּמִקְלֹות הֹולִיד אֶת־שִׁמְאָם וְאַף־הֵם נֶגֶד אֲחֵיהֶם יָשְׁבוּ בִירוּשָׁלִַם עִם־אֲחֵיהֶם׃ ס
|

39. וְנֵר הֹולִיד אֶת־קִישׁ וְקִישׁ הֹולִיד אֶת־שָׁאוּל וְשָׁאוּל הֹולִיד אֶת־יְהֹונָתָן וְאֶת־מַלְכִּי־שׁוּעַ וְאֶת־אֲבִינָדָב וְאֶת־אֶשְׁבָּעַל׃

40. וּבֶן־יְהֹונָתָן מְרִיב בָּעַל וּמְרִי־בַעַל הֹולִיד אֶת־מִיכָה׃
|
