1. וַיְהִי בִּימֵי אַמְרָפֶל מֶלֶךְ־שִׁנְעָר אַרְיֹוךְ מֶלֶךְ אֶלָּסָר כְּדָרְלָעֹמֶר מֶלֶךְ עֵילָם וְתִדְעָל מֶלֶךְ גֹּויִם׃

1. And it came to pass H1961 in the days H3117 of Amraphel H569 king H4428 of Shinar H8152 , Arioch H746 king H4428 of Ellasar H495 , Chedorlaomer H3540 king H4428 of Elam H5867 , and Tidal H8413 king H4428 of nations H1471 ;

2. עָשׂוּ מִלְחָמָה אֶת־בֶּרַע מֶלֶךְ סְדֹם וְאֶת־בִּרְשַׁע מֶלֶךְ עֲמֹרָה שִׁנְאָב ׀ מֶלֶךְ אַדְמָה וְשֶׁמְאֵבֶר מֶלֶךְ צְבֹיִים כ (צְבֹויִים ק) וּמֶלֶךְ בֶּלַע הִיא־צֹעַר׃

3. כָּל־אֵלֶּה חָבְרוּ אֶל־עֵמֶק הַשִּׂדִּים הוּא יָם הַמֶּלַח׃

9. אֵת כְּדָרְלָעֹמֶר מֶלֶךְ עֵילָם וְתִדְעָל מֶלֶךְ גֹּויִם וְאַמְרָפֶל מֶלֶךְ שִׁנְעָר וְאַרְיֹוךְ מֶלֶךְ אֶלָּסָר אַרְבָּעָה מְלָכִים אֶת־הַחֲמִשָּׁה׃

10. וְעֵמֶק הַשִׂדִּים בֶּאֱרֹת בֶּאֱרֹת חֵמָר וַיָּנֻסוּ מֶלֶךְ־סְדֹם וַעֲמֹרָה וַיִּפְּלוּ־שָׁמָּה וְהַנִּשְׁאָרִים הֶרָה נָּסוּ׃

14. וַיִּשְׁמַע אַבְרָם כִּי נִשְׁבָּה אָחִיו וַיָּרֶק אֶת־חֲנִיכָיו יְלִידֵי בֵיתֹו שְׁמֹנָה עָשָׂר וּשְׁלֹשׁ מֵאֹות וַיִּרְדֹּף עַד־דָּן׃

17. וַיֵּצֵא מֶלֶךְ־סְדֹם לִקְרָאתֹו אַחֲרֵי שׁוּבֹו מֵהַכֹּות אֶת־כְּדָר־לָעֹמֶר וְאֶת־הַמְּלָכִים אֲשֶׁר אִתֹּו אֶל־עֵמֶק שָׁוֵה הוּא עֵמֶק הַמֶּלֶךְ׃

17. And the king H4428 of Sodom H5467 went out H3318 to meet H7125 him after H310 his return H7725 from the slaughter H4480 H5221 of H853 Chedorlaomer H3540 , and of the kings H4428 that H834 were with H854 him, at H413 the valley H6010 of Shaveh H7740 , which H1931 is the king H4428 's dale H6010 .

18. וּמַלְכִּי־צֶדֶק מֶלֶךְ שָׁלֵם הֹוצִיא לֶחֶם וָיָיִן וְהוּא כֹהֵן לְאֵל עֶלְיֹון׃
|
18. And Melchizedek H4442 king H4428 of Salem H8004 brought forth H3318 bread H3899 and wine H3196 : and he H1931 was the priest H3548 of the most high H5945 God H410 .

19. וַיְבָרְכֵהוּ וַיֹּאמַר בָּרוּךְ אַבְרָם לְאֵל עֶלְיֹון קֹנֵה שָׁמַיִם וָאָרֶץ׃

20. וּבָרוּךְ אֵל עֶלְיֹון אֲשֶׁר־מִגֵּן צָרֶיךָ בְּיָדֶךָ וַיִּתֶּן־לֹו מַעֲשֵׂר מִכֹּל׃
|

21. וַיֹּאמֶר מֶלֶךְ־סְדֹם אֶל־אַבְרָם תֶּן־לִי הַנֶּפֶשׁ וְהָרְכֻשׁ קַח־לָךְ׃

22. וַיֹּאמֶר אַבְרָם אֶל־מֶלֶךְ סְדֹם הֲרִימֹתִי יָדִי אֶל־יְהוָה אֵל עֶלְיֹון קֹנֵה שָׁמַיִם וָאָרֶץ׃
|
22. And Abram H87 said H559 to H413 the king H4428 of Sodom H5467 , I have lifted up H7311 mine hand H3027 unto H413 the LORD H3068 , the most high H5945 God H410 , the possessor H7069 of heaven H8064 and earth H776 ,

23. אִם־מִחוּט וְעַד שְׂרֹוךְ־נַעַל וְאִם־אֶקַּח מִכָּל־אֲשֶׁר־לָךְ וְלֹא תֹאמַר אֲנִי הֶעֱשַׁרְתִּי אֶת־אַבְרָם׃
|
23. That I will not H518 take from a thread H4480 H2339 even to H5704 to a shoelatchet H8288 H5275 , and that I will not H518 take H3947 any thing H4480 H3605 that H834 is thine, lest H3808 thou shouldest say H559 , I H589 have made Abram rich H6238 H853 H87 :

24. בִּלְעָדַי רַק אֲשֶׁר אָכְלוּ הַנְּעָרִים וְחֵלֶק הָאֲנָשִׁים אֲשֶׁר הָלְכוּ אִתִּי עָנֵר אֶשְׁכֹּל וּמַמְרֵא הֵם יִקְחוּ חֶלְקָם׃ ס
|
24. Save H1107 only H7535 that which H834 the young men H5288 have eaten H398 , and the portion H2506 of the men H376 which H834 went H1980 with H854 me, Aner H6063 , Eshcol H812 , and Mamre H4471 ; let them H1992 take H3947 their portion H2506 .
