1 అహష్వేరోషు మహారాజు ప్రజల దగ్గర్నుంచి పన్నులు వసూలు చేసేవాడు. సుదూర ప్రాంతాల్లో సముద్ర తీరాన పున్న నగర వాసులతో బాటు, సామ్ర్యాజ్యంలోని ప్రజలందరూ పన్నులు చెల్లించవలసి వచ్చేది.
2 అహష్వేరోషు మహారాజు చేసిన ఘనకార్యాలన్నీ మాదీయ, పారశీక రాజ్యాల చరిత్ర గ్రంథంలో లిఖింపబడ్డాయి. అలాగే మొర్దెకై చేసిన కూడా ఆ చరిత్ర గ్రంథాల్లో చేర్చ బడ్డాయి. మహారాజు మొర్దెకైకి ఘన మైన గౌరవస్థానం కల్పించాడు.
3 సామ్రాజ్యంలో అహష్వేరోషు తర్వాత ప్రాముఖ్యంలో మొర్దెకైది ద్యితీయ స్థానం. యూదులందరిలో మొర్దెకైయే అతి ముఖ్యమైన వ్యక్తి. అతని తోటి యూదులు అతన్నెంతగానో గౌరవించేవారు. మొర్దెకై తన జాతీయ ప్రజల సంక్షేమ సౌభాగ్యాల కోసం విశేషంగా కృషిచేశాడు. మొర్దెకై యూదులందరికీ శాంతిని చేకూర్చాడు. అందుకే, సాటి యూదులందరికీ మొర్దెకై అంటే ఎంతో గౌరవం.
