Genesis 14:24 (ESV) English Standard Version

1 In the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goiim,
2 these kings made war with Bera king of Sodom, Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (that is, Zoar).
3 And all these joined forces in the Valley of Siddim ( that is, the Salt Sea).
4 Twelve years they had served Chedorlaomer, but in the thirteenth year they rebelled.
5 In the fourteenth year Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him came and defeated the Rephaim in Ashteroth-karnaim, the Zuzim in Ham, the Emim in Shaveh-kiriathaim,
6 and the Horites in their hill country of Seir as far as El-paran on the border of the wilderness.
7 Then they turned back and came to En-mishpat (that is, Kadesh) and defeated all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites who were dwelling in Hazazon-tamar.
8 Then the king of Sodom, the king of Gomorrah, the king of Admah, the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (that is, Zoar) went out, and they joined battle in the Valley of Siddim
9 with Chedorlaomer king of Elam, Tidal king of Goiim, Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar, four kings against five.
10 Now the Valley of Siddim was full of bitumen pits, and as the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, some fell into them, and the rest fled to the hill country.
11 So the enemy took all the possessions of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their provisions, and went their way.
12 They also took Lot, the son of Abram's brother, who was dwelling in Sodom, and his possessions, and went their way.
13 Then one who had escaped came and told Abram the Hebrew, who was living by the oaks of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol and of Aner. These were allies of Abram.
14 When Abram heard that his kinsman had been taken captive, he led forth his trained men, born in his house, 318 of them, and went in pursuit as far as Dan.
15 And he divided his forces against them by night, he and his servants, and defeated them and pursued them to Hobah, north of Damascus.
16 Then he brought back all the possessions, and also brought back his kinsman Lot with his possessions, and the women and the people.
17 After his return from the defeat of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him, the king of Sodom went out to meet him at the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King's Valley).
18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. (He was priest of God Most High.)
19 And he blessed him and said, "Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth;
20 and blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand!" And Abram gave him a tenth of everything.
21 And the king of Sodom said to Abram, "Give me the persons, but take the goods for yourself."
22 But Abram said to the king of Sodom, "I have lifted my hand to the LORD, God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth,
23 that I would not take a thread or a sandal strap or anything that is yours, lest you should say, 'I have made Abram rich.'
24 I will take nothing but what the young men have eaten, and the share of the men who went with me. Let Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre take their share."

3 All H3605 these H428 were joined together H2266 in H413 the vale H6010 of Siddim, H7708 which H1931 is the salt H4417 sea. H3220
4 Twelve H8147 H6240 years H8141 they served H5647 H853 Chedorlaomer, H3540 and in the thirteenth H7969 H6240 year H8141 they rebelled. H4775

6 And the Horites H2752 in their mount H2042 Seir, H8165 unto H5704 El- H364 paran, which H834 is by H5921 the wilderness. H4057
7 And they returned, H7725 and came H935 to H413 En- H5880 mishpat, which H1931 is Kadesh, H6946 and smote H5221 H853 all H3605 the country H7704 of the Amalekites, H6003 and also H1571 H853 the Amorites, H567 that dwelt H3427 in Hazezon- H2688 tamar.
8 And there went out H3318 the king H4428 of Sodom, H5467 and the king H4428 of Gomorrah, H6017 and the king H4428 of Admah, H126 and the king H4428 of Zeboiim, H6636 and the king H4428 of Bela H1106 (the same H1931 is Zoar H6820 ) and they joined H6186 battle H4421 with H854 them in the vale H6010 of Siddim; H7708
9 With H854 Chedorlaomer H3540 the king H4428 of Elam, H5867 and with Tidal H8413 king H4428 of nations, H1471 and Amraphel H569 king H4428 of Shinar, H8152 and Arioch H746 king H4428 of Ellasar; H495 four H702 kings H4428 with H854 five. H2568
10 And the vale H6010 of Siddim H7708 was full of slime pits H875 H875; H2564 and the kings H4428 of Sodom H5467 and Gomorrah H6017 fled, H5127 and fell H5307 there; H8033 and they that remained H7604 fled H5127 to the mountain. H2022
11 And they took H3947 H853 all H3605 the goods H7399 of Sodom H5467 and Gomorrah, H6017 and all H3605 their victuals, H400 and went their way. H1980
12 And they took H3947 H853 Lot, H3876 Abram's H87 brother's H251 son, H1121 who H1931 dwelt H3427 in Sodom, H5467 and his goods, H7399 and departed. H1980
13 And there came H935 one that had escaped, H6412 and told H5046 Abram H87 the Hebrew; H5680 for he H1931 dwelt H7931 in the plain H436 of Mamre H4471 the Amorite, H567 brother H251 of Eshcol, H812 and brother H251 of Aner: H6063 and these H1992 were confederate H1167 H1285 with Abram. H87
14 And when Abram H87 heard H8085 that H3588 his brother H251 was taken captive, H7617 he armed H7324 H853 his trained H2593 servants , born H3211 in his own house, H1004 three H7969 hundred H3967 and eighteen H8083 H6240 , and pursued H7291 them unto H5704 Dan. H1835
15 And he divided himself H2505 against H5921 them, he H1931 and his servants, H5650 by night, H3915 and smote H5221 them , and pursued H7291 them unto H5704 Hobah, H2327 which H834 is on the left hand H4480 H8040 of Damascus. H1834
16 And he brought back H7725 H853 all H3605 the goods, H7399 and also H1571 brought again H7725 his brother H251 H853 Lot, H3876 and his goods, H7399 and H853 the women H802 also, H1571 and the people. H5971
17 And the king H4428 of Sodom H5467 went out H3318 to meet H7125 him after H310 his return H7725 from the slaughter H4480 H5221 of H853 Chedorlaomer, H3540 and of the kings H4428 that H834 were with H854 him, at H413 the valley H6010 of Shaveh, H7740 which H1931 is the king's H4428 dale. H6010
18 And Melchizedek H4442 king H4428 of Salem H8004 brought forth H3318 bread H3899 and wine: H3196 and he H1931 was the priest H3548 of the most high H5945 God. H410
19 And he blessed H1288 him , and said, H559 Blessed H1288 be Abram H87 of the most high H5945 God, H410 possessor H7069 of heaven H8064 and earth: H776
20 And blessed H1288 be the most high H5945 God, H410 which H834 hath delivered H4042 thine enemies H6862 into thy hand. H3027 And he gave H5414 him tithes H4643 of all H4480 H3605 .
21 And the king H4428 of Sodom H5467 said H559 unto H413 Abram, H87 Give H5414 me the persons, H5315 and take H3947 the goods H7399 to thyself.
22 And Abram H87 said H559 to H413 the king H4428 of Sodom, H5467 I have lifted up H7311 mine hand H3027 unto H413 the LORD, H3068 the most high H5945 God, H410 the possessor H7069 of heaven H8064 and earth, H776
23 That I will not H518 take from a thread H4480 H2339 even to H5704 to a shoelatchet H8288 H5275 , and that I will not H518 take H3947 any thing H4480 H3605 that H834 is thine, lest H3808 thou shouldest say, H559 I H589 have made Abram rich H6238 H853 H87 :
24 Save H1107 only H7535 that which H834 the young men H5288 have eaten, H398 and the portion H2506 of the men H376 which H834 went H1980 with H854 me, Aner, H6063 Eshcol, H812 and Mamre; H4471 let them H1992 take H3947 their portion. H2506
