2. Each day a certain man was carried to the Beautiful Gate of the house of God. This man had never been able to walk. He was there begging for money from those who were going in.

And G2532 a certain G5100 man G435 lame G5560 from G1537 his G848 mother G3384 's womb G2836 was carried G941 , whom G3739 they laid G5087 daily G2596 G2250 at G4314 the G3588 gate G2374 of the G3588 temple G2411 which is called G3004 Beautiful G5611 , to ask G154 alms G1654 of G3844 them that entered G1531 into G1519 the G3588 temple G2411 ;

3. He asked Peter and John for money when he saw them going in.

3. Who G3739 seeing G1492 Peter G4074 and G2532 John G2491 about G3195 to go G1524 into G1519 the G3588 temple G2411 asked G2065 an G2983 alms G1654 .

4. Peter and John looked at him. Then Peter said, "Look at us!"

5. The man who could not walk looked at them. He thought he would get something from them.

6. Peter said, "I have no money, but what I have I will give you! In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!"

6. Then G1161 Peter G4074 said G2036 , Silver G694 and G2532 gold G5553 have G5225 I G3427 none G3756 ; but G1161 such G3739 as I have G2192 give G1325 I thee G4671 : In G1722 the G3588 name G3686 of Jesus G2424 Christ G5547 of Nazareth G3480 rise up G1453 and G2532 walk G4043 .

7. Peter took the man by the right hand and lifted him up. At once his feet and the bones in his legs became strong.

7. And G2532 he took G4084 him G846 by the G3588 right G1188 hand G5495 , and lifted him up G1453 : and G1161 immediately G3916 his G846 feet G939 and G2532 ankle bones G4974 received strength G4732 .

8. He jumped up on his feet and walked. Then he went into the house of God with them. He gave thanks to God as he walked.

9. All the people saw him walking and giving thanks to God.

10. They knew it was the man who had been sitting and begging at the Beautiful Gate. They were surprised he was walking.
|

And G5037 they knew G1921 that G3754 it was G2258 he G3778 which sat G2521 for G4314 alms G1654 at G1909 the G3588 Beautiful G5611 gate G4439 of the G3588 temple G2411 : and G2532 they were filled G4130 with wonder G2285 and G2532 amazement G1611 at G1909 that which had happened G4819 unto him G846 .

11. The man who was healed held on to Peter and John. All the people who were surprised gathered together around them in a place called Solomon's Porch.

11. And G1161 as the G3588 lame man G5560 which was healed G2390 held G2902 Peter G4074 and G2532 John G2491 , all G3956 the G3588 people G2992 ran together G4936 unto G4314 them G846 in G1909 the G3588 porch G4745 that is called G2564 Solomon G4672 's , greatly wondering G1569 .

12. When Peter saw this, he said to them, "Jewish men, why are you surprised at this? Why do you look at us as if we had made this man walk by our own power or holy lives?

13. The God of our fathers, the God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, has done this. He has honored His Son Jesus. He is the One you handed over to Pilate. You turned your backs on Him after Pilate had decided to let Him go free.

The G3588 God G2316 of Abraham G11 , and G2532 of Isaac G2464 , and G2532 of Jacob G2384 , the G3588 God G2316 of our G2257 fathers G3962 , hath glorified G1392 his G848 Son G3816 Jesus G2424 ; whom G3739 ye G5210 delivered up G3860 , and G2532 denied G720 him G846 in the presence G2596 G4383 of Pilate G4091 , when he G1565 was determined G2919 to let him go G630 .

14. But you turned your backs against the Holy and Right One. Then you asked for a man who had killed someone to go free.
|
14. But G1161 ye G5210 denied G720 the G3588 Holy One G40 and G2532 the Just G1342 , and G2532 desired G154 a G435 murderer G5406 to be granted G5483 unto you G5213 ;

15. You killed the very One Who made all life. But God raised Him from the dead. We saw Him alive.
|
15. And G1161 killed G615 the G3588 Prince G747 of life G2222 , whom G3739 God G2316 hath raised G1453 from G1537 the dead G3498 ; whereof G3739 we G2249 are G2070 witnesses G3144 .

16. You see and know this man here. He has been made strong through faith in Jesus' name. Yes, it is faith in Christ that has made this man well and strong. This man is standing here in front of you all.
|
16. And G2532 his G846 name G3686 through G1909 faith G4102 in his G846 name G3686 hath made this man strong G4732 G5126 , whom G3739 ye see G2334 and G2532 know G1492 : yea G2532 , the G3588 faith G4102 which G3588 is by G1223 him G846 hath given G1325 him G846 this G5026 perfect soundness G3647 in the presence G561 of you G5216 all G3956 .

17. "Brothers, I know you and your leaders did this without knowing what you were doing.
|
17. And G2532 now G3568 , brethren G80 , I wot G1492 that G3754 through G2596 ignorance G52 ye did G4238 it, as G5618 did also G2532 your G5216 rulers G758 .

18. In this way, God did what He said He would do through all the early preachers. He said that Christ must suffer many hard things.
|
18. But G1161 those things G3739 , which God G2316 before had showed G4293 by G1223 the mouth G4750 of all G3956 his G846 prophets G4396 , that Christ G5547 should suffer G3958 , he hath so G3779 fulfilled G4137 .

19. But you must be sorry for your sins and turn from them. You must turn to God and have your sins taken away. Then many times your soul will receive new strength from the Lord.

19. Repent G3340 ye therefore G3767 , and G2532 be converted G1994 , that your G5216 sins G266 may be blotted out G1813 , when G3704 the times G2540 of refreshing G403 shall come G2064 G302 from G575 the presence G4383 of the G3588 Lord G2962 ;

20. He will send Jesus back to the world. He is the Christ Who long ago was chosen for you.

21. But for awhile He must stay in heaven until the time when all things are made right. God said these things would happen through His holy early preachers.

21. Whom G3739 the heaven G3772 must G1163 G3303 receive G1209 until G891 the times G5550 of restitution G605 of all things G3956 , which G3739 God G2316 hath spoken G2980 by G1223 the mouth G4750 of all G3956 his G848 holy G40 prophets G4396 since the world began G575 G165 .

22. "Moses said, 'The Lord God will raise up from among your brothers One Who speaks for God, as He raised me. You must listen to everything He says.

23. Everyone among the people who will not listen to that One Who speaks for God will be put to death.' (Deuteronomy 18:18,19)

23. And G1161 it shall come to pass G2071 , that every G3956 soul G5590 , which G3748 will not G3361 hear G191 G302 that G1565 prophet G4396 , shall be destroyed G1842 from G1537 among the G3588 people G2992 .

24. All the early preachers who have spoken from Samuel until now have told of these days.
|
24. Yea G1161 , and G2532 all G3956 the G3588 prophets G4396 from G575 Samuel G4545 and G2532 those that follow after G2517 , as many as G3745 have spoken G2980 , have likewise G2532 foretold G4293 of these G5025 days G2250 .

25. You are of the family of the early preachers and of the promise that God made with our early fathers. He said to Abraham, 'All the families of the earth will receive God's favor through your children.'

26. God has raised up His Son Jesus and has sent Him to you first to give God's favor to each of you who will turn away from his sinful ways."
