23 And he slew an Egyptian, a man of great stature, five cubits high; and in the Egyptians hand was a spear like a weavers beam; and he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptians hand, and slew him with his own spear.

Benaiah had only a club. He grabbed the spear in the Egyptian's hands and took it away from him. Then Benaiah killed the Egyptian with his own spear.
