1 મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે; તારવાળાં વાજાં સાથે ગાવાને. દાઉદનું માસ્કીલ. ઝીફીઓએ આવીને શાઉલને કહ્યું, “શું, દાઉદ અમારે ત્યાં સંતાઈ રહેલો નથી?” તે વખતનું. હે ઈશ્વર, તમારે નામે મને બચાવો, અને તમારા પરાક્રમથી મારો ન્યાય કરો.
2 હે ઈશ્વર, મારી પ્રાર્થના સાંભળો; મારા મુખની વાતો પર કાન ધરો.
3 કેમ કે પરદેશીઓ મારી સામે ઊઠયા છે, અને જુલમગારો મારો જીવ લેવા મથે છે. તેઓ ઈશ્વરની દરકાર કરતા નથી. (સેલાહ)
4 મને સહાય કરનાર ઈશ્વર છે; પ્રભુ જ મારા પ્રાણાધાર છે.
5 તે મારા વૈરીઓને ભૂંડાઈનો બદલો આપશે; તમારા સત્ય વચન પ્રમાણે તેઓનો નાશ કરો.
6 હું રાજીખુશીથી તમને યજ્ઞાર્પણ કરીશ; હે યહોવા, હું તમારા નામની સ્તુતિ કરીશ, કેમ કે તે સારું છે.
7 કારણ કે તેમણે મને સર્વ સંકટમાંથી છોડાવ્યો છે; અને મારી ઇચ્છા પ્રમાણે મારા શત્રુઓને થયું, તે મેં નજરે જોયું છે.
