2. Jesus said to them, "Do you see all these things? For sure, I tell you, all these stones will be thrown down. Not one will be left standing on another."

3. Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives. The followers came to Him when He was alone and said, "Tell us, when will this happen? What can we look for to show us of Your coming and of the end of the world?"

4. Jesus said to them, "Be careful that no one leads you the wrong way.

5. Many people will come using My name. They will say, 'I am Christ.' They will fool many people and will turn them to the wrong way.

6. You will hear of wars and lots of talk about wars, but do not be afraid. These things must happen, but it is not the end yet.

7. Nations will have wars with other nations. Countries will fight against countries. There will be no food for people. The earth will shake and break apart in different places.

7. For G1063 nation G1484 shall rise G1453 against G1909 nation G1484 , and G2532 kingdom G932 against G1909 kingdom G932 : and G2532 there shall be G2071 famines G3042 , and G2532 pestilences G3061 , and G2532 earthquakes G4578 , in G2596 divers places G5117 .

8. These things are the beginning of sorrows and pains.

9. "Then they will hand you over to be hurt. They will kill you. You will be hated by all the world because of My name.

10. Many people will give up and turn away at this time. People will hand over each other. They will hate each other.

10. And G2532 then G5119 shall many G4183 be offended G4624 , and G2532 shall betray G3860 one another G240 , and G2532 shall hate G3404 one another G240 .

11. Many false religious teachers will come. They will fool many people and will turn them to the wrong way.
|
11. And G2532 many G4183 false prophets G5578 shall rise G1453 , and G2532 shall deceive G4105 many G4183 .
|
|
12. Because of people breaking the laws and sin being everywhere, the love in the hearts of many people will become cold.
|
12. And G2532 because iniquity G458 shall abound G4129 , the G3588 love G26 of many G4183 shall wax cold G5594 .
|
|
13. But the one who stays true to the end will be saved.
|
13. But G1161 he that shall endure G5278 unto G1519 the end G5056 , the same G3778 shall be saved G4982 .

14. "This Good News about the holy nation of God must be preached over all the earth. It must be told to all nations and then the end will come.
|
14. And G2532 this G5124 gospel G2098 of the G3588 kingdom G932 shall be preached G2784 in G1722 all G3650 the G3588 world G3625 for G1519 a witness G3142 unto all G3956 nations G1484 ; and G2532 then G5119 shall the G3588 end G5056 come G2240 .

15. "You will see a sinful man-made god standing in the house of God in Jerusalem. It was spoken of by the early preacher Daniel. (Daniel 9:27; 12:11) The one who reads this should understand it.

16. Then those in the country of Judea should run to the mountains.

17. The man who is on the top of his house should not come down to take anything out of his house.

18. The man who is in the field should not go back to get his coat.
|

19. It will be hard for a woman who will soon be a mother. It will be hard for the ones feeding babies in those days!
|
19. And G1161 woe G3759 unto them that are with child G2192 G1722 G1064 , and G2532 to them that give suck G2337 in G1722 those G1565 days G2250 !

|
20. Pray that you will not have to go in the winter or on the Day of Rest.
|
20. But G1161 pray G4336 ye that G2443 your G5216 flight G5437 be G1096 not G3361 in the winter G5494 , neither G3366 on G1722 the sabbath day G4521 :

21. In those days there will be very much trouble and pain and sorrow. It has never been this bad from the beginning of the world and never will be again.
|
21. For G1063 then G5119 shall be G2071 great G3173 tribulation G2347 , such as G3634 was G1096 not G3756 since G575 the beginning G746 of the world G2889 to G2193 this time G3568 , no G3761 , nor ever G3364 shall be G1096 .

22. If the time had not been made short, no life would have been saved. Because of God's people, the time will be made short.
|
22. And G2532 except G1508 those G1565 days G2250 should be shortened G2856 , there should no G3756 flesh G4561 be saved G4982 G302 : but G1161 for the elect's sake G1223 G3588 G1588 those G1565 days G2250 shall be shortened G2856 .

23. "If anyone says to you, 'See! Here is the Christ!' or 'There He is!' do not believe it.
|

24. People who say they are Christ and false preachers will come. They will do special things for people to see. They will do great things, so that if it can be done, God's people will be fooled to believe something wrong.
|
24. For G1063 there shall arise G1453 false Christs G5580 , and G2532 false prophets G5578 , and G2532 shall show G1325 great G3173 signs G4592 and G2532 wonders G5059 ; insomuch that G5620 , if G1487 it were possible G1415 , they shall deceive G4105 the G3588 very G2532 elect G1588 .

25. Listen! I have told you before it comes.

25. Behold G2400 , I have told you before G4280 G5213 .

26. If they tell you, 'See! He is in the desert,' do not go to see. Or if they say, 'See! He is in the inside room,' do not believe them.

27. The Son of Man will come as fast as lightning shines across the sky from east to west.

28. Birds gather wherever there is a dead body.

29. "As soon as those days of trouble and pain and sorrow are over, the sun will get dark. The moon will not give light. The stars will fall from the sky. The powers in the heavens will be shaken.

Immediately G2112 after G3326 the G3588 tribulation G2347 of those G1565 days G2250 shall the G3588 sun G2246 be darkened G4654 , and G2532 the G3588 moon G4582 shall not G3756 give G1325 her G848 light G5338 , and G2532 the G3588 stars G792 shall fall G4098 from G575 heaven G3772 , and G2532 the G3588 powers G1411 of the G3588 heavens G3772 shall be shaken G4531 :

30. Then something special will be seen in the sky telling of the Son of Man. All nations of the earth will have sorrow. They will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of the sky with power and shining-greatness.

And G2532 then G5119 shall appear G5316 the G3588 sign G4592 of the G3588 Son G5207 of man G444 in G1722 heaven G3772 : and G2532 then G5119 shall all G3956 the G3588 tribes G5443 of the G3588 earth G1093 mourn G2875 , and G2532 they shall see G3700 the G3588 Son G5207 of man G444 coming G2064 in G1909 the G3588 clouds G3507 of heaven G3772 with G3326 power G1411 and G2532 great G4183 glory G1391 .

31. He will send His angels with the loud sound of a horn. They will gather God's people together from the four winds. They will come from one end of the heavens to the other.

32. "Now learn something from the fig tree. When the branch begins to grow and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near.

33. In the same way, when you see all these things happen, you know the Son of Man is near, even at the door.

34. For sure, I tell you, the people of this day will not pass away before all these things have happened.

35. "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.
|
35. Heaven G3772 and G2532 earth G1093 shall pass away G3928 , but G1161 my G3450 words G3056 shall not G3364 pass away G3928 .

36. But no one knows the day or the hour. No! Not even the angels in heaven know. The Son does not know. Only the Father knows.

36. But G1161 of G4012 that G1565 day G2250 and G2532 hour G5610 knoweth G1492 no G3762 man, no, not G3761 the G3588 angels G32 of heaven G3772 , but G1508 my G3450 Father G3962 only G3441 .

37. "When the Son of Man comes, it will be the same as when Noah lived.
|
37. But G1161 as G5618 the G3588 days G2250 of Noah G3575 were, so G3779 shall also G2532 the G3588 coming G3952 of the G3588 Son G5207 of man G444 be G2071 .

38. In the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking. They were marrying and being given in marriage. This kept on until the day Noah went into the large boat.
|

For G1063 as G5618 in G1722 the G3588 days G2250 that G3588 were before G4253 the G3588 flood G2627 they were G2258 eating G5176 and G2532 drinking G4095 , marrying G1060 and G2532 giving in marriage G1547 , until G891 the day G2250 that G3739 Noah G3575 entered G1525 into G1519 the G3588 ark G2787 ,

39. They did not know what was happening until the flood came and the water carried them all away. It will be like this when the Son of Man comes.

40. "Two men will be working in a field. One will be taken and the other will be left.
|
40. Then G5119 shall two G1417 be G2071 in G1722 the G3588 field G68 ; the G3588 one G1520 shall be taken G3880 , and G2532 the G3588 other G1520 left G863 .
|
|
41. Two women will be grinding grain. One will be taken and the other will be left.
|
41. Two G1417 women shall be grinding G229 at G1722 the G3588 mill G3459 ; the one G3391 shall be taken G3880 , and G2532 the other G3391 left G863 .
|
|
42. "Because of this, watch! You do not know on what day your Lord is coming.
|
42. Watch G1127 therefore G3767 : for G3754 ye know G1492 not G3756 what G4169 hour G5610 your G5216 Lord G2962 doth come G2064 .

|
43. But understand this: If the owner of a house had known when the robber was coming, he would have watched. He would not have allowed his house to have been broken into.
|

But G1161 know G1097 this G1565 , that G3754 if G1487 the G3588 goodman of the house G3617 had known G1492 in what G4169 watch G5438 the G3588 thief G2812 would come G2064 , he would have watched G1127 G302 , and G2532 would not G3756 have suffered G1439 G302 his G848 house G3614 to be broken up G1358 .

44. You must be ready also. The Son of Man is coming at a time when you do not think He will come.
|
44. Therefore G1223 G5124 be G1096 ye G5210 also G2532 ready G2092 : for G3754 in such G3739 an hour G5610 as ye think G1380 not G3756 the G3588 Son G5207 of man G444 cometh G2064 .

45. "Who is the faithful and wise servant whom his owner has made boss over the other servants? He is to have food ready for them at the right time.
|
45. Who G5101 then G686 is G2076 a faithful G4103 and G2532 wise G5429 servant G1401 , whom G3739 his G846 lord G2962 hath made ruler G2525 over G1909 his G848 household G2322 , to give G1325 them G846 meat G5160 in G1722 due season G2540 ?

46. That servant is happy who is doing what his owner wants him to do when he comes back.
|
46. Blessed G3107 is that G1565 servant G1401 , whom G3739 his G846 lord G2962 when he cometh G2064 shall find G2147 so G3779 doing G4160 .

47. For sure, I tell you, he will make him boss over all that he has.
|
47. Verily G281 I say G3004 unto you G5213 , That G3754 he shall make him ruler G2525 G846 over G1909 all G3956 his G848 goods G5224 .
|
|
48. But if that servant is bad, he will think, 'The owner will not come soon.'
|
48. But G1161 and if G1437 that G1565 evil G2556 servant G1401 shall say G2036 in G1722 his G848 heart G2588 , My G3450 lord G2962 delayeth G5549 his coming G2064 ;

|
49. He will beat the others. He will eat and drink with those who are drunk.
|
49. And G2532 shall begin G756 to smite G5180 his fellow servants G4889 , and G1161 to eat G2068 and G2532 drink G4095 with G3326 the G3588 drunken G3184 ;

|
50. The owner will come on a day and at an hour when the servant is not looking for him.
|
50. The G3588 lord G2962 of that G1565 servant G1401 shall come G2240 in G1722 a day G2250 when G3739 he looketh G4328 not G3756 for him, and G2532 in G1722 an hour G5610 that G3739 he is not G3756 aware G1097 of,

|
51. The owner will punish the servant and will give him his place with those who pretend to be someone they are not. There will be loud crying and grinding of teeth.
|
51. And G2532 shall cut him asunder G1371 G846 , and G2532 appoint G5087 him his G846 portion G3313 with G3326 the G3588 hypocrites G5273 : there G1563 shall be G2071 weeping G2805 and G2532 gnashing G1030 of teeth G3599 .
