Revelation 8 (YLT) Young's Literal Translation

1 And when he openeth the seventh seal, there came silence in the heaven about half-an-hour,
2 and I saw the seven messengers who before God have stood, and there were given to them seven trumpets,
3 and another messenger did come, and he stood at the altar, having a golden censer, and there was given to him much perfume, that he may give it to the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar that is before the throne,
4 and go up did the smoke of the perfumes to the prayers of the saints out of the hand of the messenger, before God;
5 and the messenger took the censer, and did fill it out of the fire of the altar, and did cast it to the earth, and there came voices, and thunders, and lightnings, and an earthquake.
6 And the seven messengers who are having the seven trumpets did prepare themselves that they may sound;
7 and the first messenger did sound, and there came hail and fire, mingled with blood, and it was cast to the land, and the third of the trees was burnt up, and all the green grass was burnt up.
8 And the second messenger did sound, and as it were a great mountain with fire burning was cast into the sea, and the third of the sea became blood,
9 and die did the third of the creatures that are in the sea, those having life, and the third of the ships were destroyed.
10 And the third messenger did sound, and there fell out of the heaven a great star, burning as a lamp, and it did fall upon the third of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters,
11 and the name of the star is called Wormwood, and the third of the waters doth become wormwood, and many of the men did die of the waters, because they were made bitter.
12 And the fourth messenger did sound, and smitten was the third of the sun, and the third of the moon, and the third of the stars, that darkened may be the third of them, and that the day may not shine -- the third of it, and the night in like manner.
13 And I saw, and I heard one messenger, flying in the mid-heaven, saying with a great voice, `Wo, wo, wo, to those dwelling upon the land from the rest of the voices of the trumpet of the three messengers who are about to sound.`

2 And G2532 CONJ I saw G1492 V-2AAI-1S the G3588 T-APM seven G2033 A-NUI angels G32 N-APM which G3739 R-NPM stood G2476 V-RAI-3P before G1799 ADV God G2316 N-GSM ; and G2532 CONJ to them G846 P-DPM were given G1325 V-API-3P seven G2033 A-NUI trumpets G4536 N-NPF .
3 And G2532 CONJ another G243 A-NSM angel G32 N-NSM came G2064 V-2AAI-3S and G2532 CONJ stood G2476 V-API-3S at G1909 PREP the G3588 T-GSN altar G2379 N-GSN , having G2192 V-PAP-NSM a golden G5552 A-ASM censer G3031 A-ASM ; and G2532 CONJ there was given G1325 V-API-3S unto him G846 P-DSM much G4183 A-NPN incense G2368 N-NPN , that G2443 CONJ he should offer G1325 V-AAS-3S it with the G3588 T-DPF prayers G4335 N-DPF of G3588 T-GPM all G3956 A-GPM saints G40 A-GPM upon G1909 PREP the G3588 T-ASN golden G5552 A-ASN altar G2379 N-ASN which G3588 T-ASN was before G1799 ADV the G3588 T-GSM throne G2362 N-GSM .
4 And G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSM smoke G2586 N-NSM of G3588 T-GPN the G3588 T-GPN incense G2368 N-GPN , which came with the G3588 T-DPF prayers G4335 N-DPF of G3588 T-GPM the G3588 T-GPM saints G40 A-GPM , ascended up G305 V-2AAI-3S before G1799 ADV God G2316 N-GSM out of G1537 PREP the G3588 T-GSM angel G32 N-GSM \'s hand G5495 N-GSF .
5 And G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSM angel G32 N-NSM took G2983 V-RAI-3S the G3588 T-ASM censer G3031 A-ASM , and G2532 CONJ filled G1072 V-AAI-3S it G846 P-ASM with G1537 PREP fire G4442 N-GSN of G3588 T-GSN the G3588 T-GSN altar G2379 N-GSN , and G2532 CONJ cast G906 V-2AAI-3S it into G1519 PREP the G3588 T-ASF earth G1093 N-ASF : and G2532 CONJ there were G1096 V-2ADI-3P voices G5456 N-NPF , and G2532 CONJ thunderings G1027 N-NPF , and G2532 CONJ lightnings G796 N-NPF , and G2532 CONJ an earthquake G4578 N-NSM .
6 And G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NPM seven G2033 A-NUI angels G32 N-NPM which had G2192 V-PAP-NPM the G3588 T-APF seven G2033 A-NUI trumpets G4536 N-APF prepared G2090 V-AAI-3P themselves G1438 F-3APM to G2443 CONJ sound G4537 V-AAS-3P .
7 The G3588 T-NSM first G4413 A-NSM angel G32 sounded G4537 V-AAI-3S , and G2532 CONJ there followed G1096 V-2ADI-3S hail G5464 N-NSF and G2532 CONJ fire G4442 N-NSN mingled G3396 V-RPP-NPN with blood G129 N-DSN , and G2532 CONJ they were cast G906 V-API-3S upon G1519 PREP the G3588 T-ASF earth G1093 N-ASF : and G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSN third part G3588 T-GPN of trees G1186 N-GPN was burnt up G2618 V-2API-3S , and G2532 CONJ all G3956 A-NSM green G5515 A-NSM grass G5528 N-NSM was burnt up G2618 V-2API-3S .
8 And G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSM second G1208 A-NSM angel G32 N-NSM sounded G4537 V-AAI-3S , and G2532 CONJ as it were G5613 ADV a great G3173 A-NSN mountain G3735 N-NSN burning G2545 V-PPP-NSN with fire G4442 was cast G906 V-API-3S into G1519 PREP the G3588 T-ASF sea G2281 N-ASF : and G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSN third part G5154 A-NSN of G3588 T-GSF the G3588 T-GSF sea G2281 N-GSF became G1096 V-2ADI-3S blood G129 N-NSN ;
9 And G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSN third part G5154 A-NSN of G3588 T-GPN the G3588 T-GPN creatures G2938 N-GPN which G3588 T-DSF were in G1722 PREP the G3588 T-DSF sea G2281 N-DSF , and G2532 CONJ had G2192 V-PAP-NPN life G5590 N-APF , died G599 V-2AAI-3S ; and G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSN third part G5154 A-NSN of G3588 T-GPN the G3588 T-GPN ships G4143 N-GPN were destroyed G1311 V-2API-3S .
10 And G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSM third G5154 A-NSM angel G32 N-NSM sounded G4537 V-AAI-3S , and G2532 CONJ there fell G4098 V-2AAI-3S a great G3173 A-NSM star G792 N-NSM from G1537 PREP heaven G3772 N-GSM , burning G2545 V-PPP-NSM as it were G5613 ADV a lamp G2985 N-NSF , and G2532 CONJ it fell G4098 V-2AAI-3S upon G1909 PREP the G3588 T-ASN third part G5154 A-ASN of G3588 T-GPM the G3588 T-GPM rivers G4215 N-GPM , and G2532 CONJ upon G1909 PREP the G3588 T-APF fountains G4077 N-APF of waters G5204 N-GPN ;
11 And G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSN name G3686 N-NSN of G3588 T-GSM the G3588 T-GSM star G792 N-GSM is called G3004 V-PPI-3S Wormwood G894 N-NSF : and G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSN third part G5154 A-NSN of G3588 T-GPN the G3588 T-GPN waters G5204 N-GPN became G1096 V-2ADI-3S wormwood G894 N-ASF ; and G2532 CONJ many G4183 A-NPM men G444 N-GPM died G599 V-2AAI-3P of G1537 PREP the G3588 T-GPN waters G5204 N-GPN , because G3754 CONJ they were made bitter G4087 V-API-3P .
12 And G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSM fourth G5067 A-NSM angel G32 N-NSM sounded G4537 V-AAI-3S , and G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSN third part G5154 A-NSN of G3588 T-GSM the G3588 T-GSM sun G2246 N-GSM was smitten G4141 V-2API-3S , and G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSN third part G5154 A-NSN of G3588 T-GSF the G3588 T-GSF moon G4582 N-GSF , and G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSN third part G5154 A-NSN of G3588 T-GPM the G3588 T-GPM stars G792 N-GPM ; so as G2443 CONJ the G3588 T-NSN third part G5154 A-NSN of them G846 P-GPM was darkened G4654 V-APS-3S , and G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSF day G2250 N-NSF shone G5316 V-PAS-3S not G3361 PRT-N for a third part G5154 A-ASN of it G848 , and G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSF night G3571 N-NSF likewise G3668 ADV .
13 And G2532 CONJ I beheld G1492 V-2AAI-1S , and G2532 CONJ heard G191 V-AAI-1S an G1520 A-GSM angel G32 N-GPM flying G4072 V-PNP-GSM through G1722 PREP the midst of heaven G3321 N-DSN , saying G3004 V-PAP-GSM with a loud G3173 A-DSF voice G5456 N-DSF , Woe G3759 INJ , woe G3759 INJ , woe G3759 INJ , to the G3588 T-DPM inhabiters G2730 V-PAP-DPM of G1909 PREP the G3588 T-GSF earth G1093 N-GSF by reason of G1537 PREP the G3588 T-GPM other G3062 A-GPM voices G5456 N-GPM of G3588 T-GSF the G3588 T-GSF trumpet G4536 N-GSF of G3588 T-GPM the G3588 T-GPM three G5140 A-GPM angels G32 N-GPM , which are yet G3195 V-PAP-GPM to sound G4537 V-PAN !
