1 Timothy 4:1 (YLT) Young's Literal Translation

1 And the Spirit expressly speaketh, that in latter times shall certain fall away from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and teachings of demons,
2 in hypocrisy speaking lies, being seared in their own conscience,
3 forbidding to marry -- to abstain from meats that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those believing and acknowledging the truth,
4 because every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, with thanksgiving being received,
5 for it is sanctified through the word of God and intercession.
6 These things placing before the brethren, thou shalt be a good ministrant of Jesus Christ, being nourished by the words of the faith, and of the good teaching, which thou didst follow after,
7 and the profane and old women's fables reject thou, and exercise thyself unto piety,
8 for the bodily exercise is unto little profit, and the piety is to all things profitable, a promise having of the life that now is, and of that which is coming;
9 stedfast is the word, and of all acceptation worthy;
10 for for this we both labour and are reproached, because we hope on the living God, who is Saviour of all men -- especially of those believing.
11 Charge these things, and teach;
12 let no one despise thy youth, but a pattern become thou of those believing in word, in behaviour, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity;
13 till I come, give heed to the reading, to the exhortation, to the teaching;
14 be not careless of the gift in thee, that was given thee through prophecy, with laying on of the hands of the eldership;
15 of these things be careful; in these things be, that thy advancement may be manifest in all things;
16 take heed to thyself, and to the teaching; remain in them, for this thing doing, both thyself thou shalt save, and those hearing thee.

3 Forbidding G2967 V-PAP-GPM to marry G1060 V-PAN , and commanding to abstain G567 V-PMN from meats G1033 N-GPN , which G3588 T-NSM God G2316 N-NSM hath created G2936 V-AAI-3S to be received G1519 PREP with G3326 PREP thanksgiving G2169 N-GSF of them which believe G4103 A-DPM and G2532 CONJ know G1921 V-RAP-DPM the G3588 T-ASF truth G225 N-ASF .
4 For G3754 CONJ every G3956 A-NSN creature G2938 N-NSN of God G2316 N-GSM is good G2570 A-NSN , and G2532 CONJ nothing G3762 A-NSN to be refused G579 A-NSN , if it be received G2983 V-PPP-NSN with G3326 PREP thanksgiving G2169 N-GSF :
5 For G1063 CONJ it is sanctified G37 V-PPI-3S by G1223 PREP the word G3056 N-GSM of God G2316 N-GSM and G2532 CONJ prayer G1783 N-GSF .
6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance G5294 V-PMP-NSM of these things G5023 D-APN , thou shalt be G2071 V-FXI-2S a good G2570 A-NSM minister G1249 N-NSM of Jesus G2424 N-GSM Christ G5547 N-GSM , nourished up G1789 V-PPP-NSM in the G3588 T-DPM words G3588 T-GSF of faith G4102 N-GSF and G2532 CONJ of good G2570 A-GSF doctrine G1319 N-GSF , whereunto G3739 R-DSF thou hast attained G3877 V-RAI-2S .
7 But G1161 CONJ refuse G3868 V-PNM-2S profane G952 A-APM and G2532 CONJ old wives G1126 A-APM \' fables G3454 N-APM , and G1161 CONJ exercise G1128 V-PAM-2S thyself G4572 F-2ASM rather unto G4314 PREP godliness G2150 N-ASF .
8 For G1063 CONJ bodily G4984 A-NSF exercise G1129 N-NSF profiteth G2076 V-PXI-3S little G3641 A-ASM : but G1161 CONJ godliness G2150 N-NSF is G2076 V-PXI-3S profitable G5624 A-NSM unto G4314 PREP all things G3956 A-APN , having G2192 V-PAP-NSF promise G1860 N-ASF of G3588 T-GSF the G3588 T-GSF life G2222 N-GSF that now is G3568 ADV , and G2532 CONJ of that which is to come G3195 V-PAP-GSF .
9 This is a faithful G4103 A-NSM saying G3056 N-NSM and G2532 CONJ worthy G514 A-NSM of all G3956 A-GSF acceptation G594 N-GSF .
10 For G1063 CONJ therefore G1519 PREP we both G2532 CONJ labor G2872 V-PAI-1P and G2532 CONJ suffer reproach G3679 V-PPI-1P , because G3754 CONJ we trust G1679 V-RAI-1P in G1909 PREP the living G2198 V-PAP-DSM God G2316 N-DSM , who G3739 R-NSM is G2076 V-PXI-3S the Savior G4990 N-NSM of all G3956 A-GPM men G444 N-GPM , especially G3122 ADV of those that believe G4103 A-GPM .
11 These things G5023 D-APN command G3853 V-PAM-2S and G2532 CONJ teach G1321 V-PAM-2S .

14 Neglect G272 V-PAM-2S not G3361 PRT-N the G3588 T-GSN gift G5486 N-GSN that is in G1722 PREP thee G4671 P-2DS , which G3739 R-NSN was given G1325 V-API-3S thee G4671 P-2DS by G1223 PREP prophecy G4394 N-GSF , with G3326 PREP the laying on G1936 N-GSF of G3588 T-GPF the G3588 T-GPF hands G5495 N-GPF of G3588 T-GSN the G3588 T-GSN presbytery G4244 N-GSN .
15 Meditate upon G3191 V-PAM-2S these things G5023 D-APN ; give thyself wholly G2468 V-PXM-2S to G1722 PREP them G5125 D-DPN ; that G2443 CONJ thy G3588 T-NSF profiting G4297 N-NSF may appear G5600 V-PXS-3S to G1722 PREP all G3956 A-DPM .
16 Take heed G1907 V-PAM-2S unto thyself G4572 F-2DSM , and G2532 CONJ unto the G3588 T-DSF doctrine G1319 N-DSF ; continue G1961 V-PAM-2S in them G846 P-DPM : for G1063 CONJ in doing G4160 V-PAP-NSM this G5124 D-ASN thou shalt both G2532 CONJ save G4982 V-FAI-2S thyself G4572 F-2ASM , and G2532 CONJ them that hear G191 V-PAP-APM thee G4675 P-2GS .
