1 ശൌല്‍ കര്‍ത്താവിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ നേരെ ഭീഷണിയും കുലയും നിശ്വസിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു മഹാപുരോഹിതന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ ചെന്നു,

2 ദമസ്കൊസില്‍ ഈ മാര്‍ഗ്ഗക്കാരായ വല്ല പുരുഷന്മാരെയോ സ്ത്രീകളെയോ കണ്ടാല്‍ അവരെ പിടിച്ചുകെട്ടി യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവരുവാന്തക്കവണ്ണം അവിടത്തെ പള്ളികള്‍ക്കു അവനോടു അധികാരപത്രം വാങ്ങി.

3 അവന്‍ പ്രയാണം ചെയ്തു ദമസ്കൊസിന്നു സമീപിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ പെട്ടെന്നു ആകാശത്തുനിന്നു ഒരു വെളിച്ചം അവന്റെ ചുറ്റും മിന്നി;

4 അവന്‍ നിലത്തു വീണു; ശൌലെ, ശൌലേ, നീ എന്നെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു തന്നോടു പറയുന്ന ഒരു ശബ്ദം കേട്ടു.

5 നീ ആരാകുന്നു, കര്‍ത്താവേ, എന്നു അവന്‍ ചോദിച്ചതിന്നുനീ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്ന യേശു ആകുന്നു ഞാന്‍ .

6 നീ എഴുന്നേറ്റു പട്ടണത്തില്‍ ചെല്ലുക; നീ ചെയ്യേണ്ടുന്നതു അവിടെ വെച്ചു നിന്നോടു പറയും എന്നു അവന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

7 അവനോടുകൂടെ പ്രയാണം ചെയ്ത പുരുഷന്മാര്‍ ശബ്ദം കേട്ടു എങ്കിലും ആരെയും കാണാതെ മരവിച്ചു നിന്നു.

8 ശൌല്‍ നിലത്തുനിന്നു എഴുന്നേറ്റു കണ്ണു തുറന്നാറെ ഒന്നും കണ്ടില്ല; അവര്‍ അവനെ കൈകൂ പിടിച്ചു ദമസ്കൊസില്‍ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയി;

9 അവന്‍ മൂന്നു ദിവസം കണ്ണു കാണാതെയും തിന്നുകയോ കുടിക്കയോ ചെയ്യാതെയും ഇരുന്നു.

10 എന്നാല്‍ അനന്യാസ് എന്നൊരു ശിഷ്യന്‍ ദമസ്കൊസില്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുഅവനെ കര്‍ത്താവു ഒരു ദര്‍ശനത്തില്‍അനന്യാസേ എന്നു വിളിച്ചു. കര്‍ത്താവേ, അടിയന്‍ ഇതാ എന്നു അവന്‍ വിളികേട്ടു.

11 കര്‍ത്താവു അവനോടുനീ എഴുന്നേറ്റു നേര്‍വ്വീഥി എന്ന തെരുവില്‍ ചെന്നു, യൂദയുടെ വീട്ടില്‍ തര്‍സൊസുകാരനായ ശൌല്‍ എന്നു പേരുള്ളവനെ അന്വേഷിക്ക;

12 അവന്‍ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിക്കുന്നു; അനന്യാസ് എന്നൊരു പുരുഷന്‍ അകത്തു വന്നു താന്‍ കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്റെ മേല കൈ വെക്കുന്നതു അവന്‍ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

13 അതിന്നു അനന്യാസ്കര്‍ത്താവേ, ആ മനുഷ്യന്‍ യെരൂശലേമില്‍ നിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധന്മാര്‍ക്കും എത്ര ദോഷം ചെയ്തു എന്നു പലരും പറഞ്ഞു ഞാന്‍ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

14 ഇവിടെയും നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നവരെ ഒക്കെയും പിടിച്ചുകെട്ടുവാന്‍ അവന്നു മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെ അധികാരപത്രം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

15 കര്‍ത്താവു അവനോടുനീ പോക; അവന്‍ എന്റെ നാമം ജാതികള്‍ക്കും രാജാക്കന്മാര്‍ക്കും യിസ്രായേല്‍മക്കള്‍ക്കും മുമ്പില്‍ വഹിപ്പാന്‍ ഞാന്‍ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നൊരു പാത്രം ആകുന്നു.

16 എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി അവന്‍ എന്തെല്ലാം കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു എന്നു ഞാന്‍ അവനെ കാണിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

17 അങ്ങനെ അനന്യാസ് ആ വീട്ടില്‍ ചെന്നു അവന്റെമേല്‍ കൈ വെച്ചുശൌലേ, സഹോദരാ, നീ കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിച്ചു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മപൂര്‍ണ്ണന്‍ ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ വന്ന വഴിയില്‍ നിനക്കു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായ യേശു എന്ന കര്‍ത്താവു എന്നെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

18 ഉടനെ അവന്റെ കണ്ണില്‍ നിന്നു ചെതുമ്പല്‍ പോലെ വീണു; കാഴ്ച ലഭിച്ചു അവന്‍ എഴുന്നേറ്റു സ്നാനം ഏല്‍ക്കയും ആഹാരം കൈക്കൊണ്ടു ബലം പ്രാപിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

19 അവന്‍ ദമസ്കൊസിലുള്ള ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു കൂടെ കുറെനാള്‍ പാര്‍ത്തു,

20 യേശു തന്നേ ദൈവപുത്രന്‍ എന്നു പള്ളികളില്‍ പ്രസംഗിച്ചു.

21 കേട്ടവര്‍ എല്ലാവരും വിസ്മയിച്ചുയെരൂശലേമില്‍ ഈ നാമം വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്കും നാശം ചെയ്തവന്‍ ഇവനല്ലയോ? ഇവിടെയും അവരെ പിടിച്ചുകെട്ടി മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കല്‍ കൊണ്ടുപോകുവാനല്ലോ വന്നതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

22 ശൌലോ മേല്‍ക്കുമേല്‍ ശക്തിപ്രാപിച്ചു, യേശു തന്നേ ക്രിസ്തു എന്നു തെളിയിച്ചു ദമസ്കൊസില്‍ പാര്‍ക്കുംന്ന യെഹൂദന്മാരെ മിണ്ടാതാക്കി.

23 കുറെനാള്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോള്‍ യെഹൂദന്മാര്‍ അവനെ കൊല്ലുവാന്‍ ആലോചിച്ചു.

24 ശൌല്‍ അവരുടെ കൂട്ടുകെട്ടു അറിഞ്ഞു; അവനെ കൊല്ലുവാന്‍ അവര്‍ രാവും പകലും നഗര ഗോപുരങ്ങളില്‍ കാവല്‍ വെച്ചു.

25 എന്നാല്‍ അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര്‍ രാത്രിയില്‍ അവനെ ഒരു കൊട്ടയിലാക്കി മതില്‍വഴിയായി ഇറക്കിവിട്ടു.

26 അവന്‍ യെരൂശലേമില്‍ എത്തിയാറെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു ചേരുവാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ചു; എന്നാല്‍ അവന്‍ ഒരു ശിഷ്യന്‍ എന്നു വിശ്വസിക്കാതെ എല്ലാവരും അവനെ പേടിച്ചു.

27 ബര്‍ന്നബാസോ അവനെ കൂട്ടി അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കല്‍ കൊണ്ടു ചെന്നു; അവന്‍ വഴിയില്‍ വെച്ചു കര്‍ത്താവിനെ കണ്ടതും കര്‍ത്താവു അവനോടു സംസാരിച്ചതും ദമസ്കൊസില്‍ അവന്‍ യേശുവിന്റെ നാമത്തില്‍ പ്രാഗത്ഭ്യത്തോടെ പ്രസംഗിച്ചതും എല്ലാം അവരോടു വിവരിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

28 പിന്നെ അവന്‍ യെരൂശലേമില്‍ അവരുമായി പെരുമാറുകയും കര്‍ത്താവിന്റെ നാമത്തില്‍ പ്രാഗത്ഭ്യത്തോടെ പ്രസംഗിക്കയും ചെയ്തു പോന്നു.

29 യവനഭാഷക്കാരായ യെഹൂദന്മാരോടും അവന്‍ സംഭാഷിച്ചു തര്‍ക്കിച്ചു; അവരോ അവനെ കൊല്ലുവാന്‍ വട്ടംകൂട്ടി.

30 സഹോദരന്മാര്‍ അതു അറിഞ്ഞു അവനെ കൈസര്യയിലേക്കു കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയി, അവിടെനിന്നു തര്‍സൊസിലേക്കു അയച്ചു.

31 അങ്ങനെ യെഹൂദ്യാ, ഗലീല, ശമര്യ എന്നീ ദേശങ്ങളില്‍ ഒക്കെയും സഭെക്കു സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടായി, അതു ആത്മികവര്‍ദ്ധന പ്രാപിച്ചും കര്‍ത്താവിനോടുള്ള ഭക്തിയിലും പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിന്റെ പ്രബോധനയിലും നടന്നും പെരുകിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

32 പത്രൊസ് എല്ലാടവും സഞ്ചരിക്കയില്‍ ലുദ്ദയില്‍ പാര്‍ക്കുംന്ന വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കലും ചെന്നു;

33 അവിടെ പക്ഷവാതം പിടിച്ചു എട്ടു സംവത്സരമായി കിടപ്പില്‍ ആയിരുന്ന ഐനെയാസ് എന്നു പേരുള്ളോരു മനുഷ്യനെ കണ്ടു.

34 പത്രൊസ് അവനോടുഐനെയാസേ, യേശുക്രിസ്തു നിന്നെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കുന്നു; എഴുന്നേറ്റു താനായി തന്നേ കിടക്ക വിരിച്ചുകൊള്‍ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; ഉടനെ അവന്‍ എഴുന്നേറ്റു.

35 ലുദ്ദയിലും ശാരോനിലും പാര്‍ക്കുംന്നവര്‍ എല്ലാവരും അവനെ കണ്ടു കര്‍ത്താവിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു.

36 യോപ്പയില്‍ പേടമാന്‍ എന്നര്‍ത്ഥമുള്ള തബീഥാ എന്നു പേരുള്ളോരു ശിഷ്യ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവള്‍ വളരെ സല്‍പ്രവൃത്തികളും ധര്‍മ്മങ്ങളും ചെയ്തുപോന്നവളായിരുന്നു.

37 ആ കാലത്ത് അവള്‍ ദീനം പിടിച്ചു മരിച്ചു; അവര്‍ അവളെ കുളിപ്പിച്ചു ഒരു മാളികമുറിയില്‍ കിടത്തി.

38 ലുദ്ദ യോപ്പെക്കു സമീപമാകയാല്‍ പത്രൊസ് അവിടെ ഉണ്ടെന്നു ശിഷ്യന്മാര്‍ കേട്ടുനീ താമസിയാതെ ഞങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കലോളം വരേണം എന്നു അപേക്ഷിപ്പാന്‍ രണ്ടു ആളെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ അയച്ചു.

39 പത്രൊസ് എഴുന്നേറ്റു അവരോടുകൂടെ ചെന്നു. എത്തിയപ്പോള്‍ അവര്‍ അവനെ മാളികമുറിയില്‍ കൊണ്ടുപോയി; അവിടെ വിധവമാര്‍ എല്ലാവരും കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടും തബീഥാ തങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഉള്ളപ്പോള്‍ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ കുപ്പായങ്ങളും ഉടുപ്പുകളും കാണിച്ചുകൊണ്ടും അവന്റെ ചുറ്റും നിന്നു.

40 പത്രൊസ് അവരെ ഒക്കെയും പുറത്തിറക്കി മുട്ടുകുത്തി പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിച്ചു ശവത്തിന്റെ നേരെ തിരിഞ്ഞുതബീത്ഥയേ, എഴുന്നേല്‍ക്കൂ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുഅവള്‍ കണ്ണു തുറന്നു പത്രൊസിനെ കണ്ടു എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഇരുന്നു.

41 അവന്‍ കൈ കൊടുത്തു അവളെ എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു, വിശുദ്ധന്മാരെയും വിധവമാരെയും വിളിച്ചു അവളെ ജീവനുള്ളവളായി അവരുടെ മുമ്പില്‍ നിറുത്തി.

42 ഇതു യോപ്പയില്‍ എങ്ങും പ്രസിദ്ധമായി,

43 പലരും കര്‍ത്താവില്‍ വിശ്വസിച്ചു. പിന്നെ അവന്‍ തോല്‍ക്കൊല്ലനായ ശിമോന്‍ എന്ന ഒരുത്തനോടുകൂടെ വളരെ നാള്‍ യോപ്പയില്‍ പാര്‍ത്തുഭ
