2 വലിപ്പവും പൊക്കവുമുള്ള അനാക്യരെന്ന ജാതിയെയും അടക്കുവാന്‍ പോകുന്നു; നീ അവരെ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ; അനാക്യരുടെ മുമ്പാകെ നില്‍ക്കാകുന്നവന്‍ ആര്‍ എന്നിങ്ങനെയുള്ള ചൊല്ലു നീ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

3 എന്നാല്‍ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്ന അഗ്നിയായി നിനക്കു മുമ്പില്‍ കടന്നുപോകുന്നു എന്നു നീ ഇന്നു അറിഞ്ഞുകൊള്‍ക. അവന്‍ അവരെ നശിപ്പിക്കയും നിന്റെ മുമ്പില്‍ താഴ്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും; അങ്ങനെ യഹോവ നിന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ നീ അവരെ നീക്കിക്കളകയും ക്ഷണത്തില്‍ നശിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

4 നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അവരെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പില്‍നിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞശേഷംഎന്റെ നീതിനിമിത്തം ഈ ദേശം കൈവശമാക്കുവാന്‍ യഹോവ എന്നെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു എന്നു നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില്‍ പറയരുതു; ആ ജാതിയുടെ ദുഷ്ടതനിമിത്തമത്രേ യഹോവ അവരെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പില്‍നിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയുന്നതു.

5 നീ അവരുടെ ദേശം കൈവശമാക്കുവാന്‍ ചെല്ലുന്നതു നിന്റെ നീതിനിമിത്തവും നിന്റെ ഹൃദയപരമാര്‍ത്ഥംനിമിത്തവും അല്ല, ആ ജാതിയുടെ ദുഷ്ടതനിമിത്തവും അബ്രാഹാം, യിസ്ഹാക്, യാക്കോബ് എന്ന നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു യഹോവ സത്യം ചെയ്ത വചനം നിവര്‍ത്തിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും അത്രേ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അവരെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പില്‍നിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയുന്നതു.

6 ആകയാല്‍ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു ആ നല്ലദേശം അവകാശമായി തരുന്നതു നിന്റെ നീതിനിമിത്തം അല്ലെന്നു അറിഞ്ഞുകൊള്‍ക; നീ ദുശ്ശാഠ്യമുള്ള ജനമല്ലോ;

7 നീ മരുഭൂമിയില്‍വെച്ചു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചു എന്നു ഔര്‍ക്ക; മറന്നുകളയരുതു; മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ട നാള്‍മുതല്‍ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തു വന്നതുവരെയും നിങ്ങള്‍ യഹോവയോടു മത്സരിക്കുന്നവരായിരുന്നു.

8 ഹോരേബിലും നിങ്ങള്‍ യഹോവയെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചു; അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ നിങ്ങളെ നശിപ്പിപ്പാന്‍ വിചാരിക്കുംവണ്ണം നിങ്ങളോടു കോപിച്ചു.

9 യഹോവ നിങ്ങളോടു ചെയ്ത നിയമത്തിന്റെ പലകകളായ കല്പലകകളെ വാങ്ങുവാന്‍ ഞാന്‍ പര്‍വ്വതത്തില്‍കയറി നാല്പതു രാവും നാല്പതു പകലും പര്‍വ്വതത്തില്‍ താമസിച്ചുഞാന്‍ ആഹാരം കഴിക്കയോ വെള്ളം കുടിക്കയോ ചെയ്തില്ല.

10 ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിരല്‍കൊണ്ടു എഴുതിയ രണ്ടു കല്പലക യഹോവ എന്റെ പക്കല്‍ തന്നു; മഹായോഗം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന നാളില്‍ യഹോവ പര്‍വ്വതത്തില്‍വെച്ചു തീയുടെ നടുവില്‍നിന്നു നിങ്ങളോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത സകലവചനങ്ങളും അവയില്‍ എഴുതിയിരുന്നു.

11 നാല്പതു രാവും നാല്പതു പകലും കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോഴായിരുന്നു യഹോവ എന്റെ പക്കല്‍ നിയമത്തിന്റെ പലകകളായ ആ രണ്ടു കല്പലക തന്നതു.

12 അപ്പോള്‍ യഹോവ എന്നോടുനീ എഴുന്നേറ്റു ക്ഷണത്തില്‍ ഇവിടെനിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെല്ലുക; നീ മിസ്രയീമില്‍നിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നിന്റെ ജനം തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ വഷളാക്കി, ഞാന്‍ അവരോടു കല്പിച്ച വഴി വേഗത്തില്‍ വിട്ടുമാറി ഒരു വിഗ്രഹം വാര്‍ത്തുണ്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

13 ഞാന്‍ ഈ ജനത്തെ ദുശ്ശാഠ്യമുള്ള ജനം എന്നു കാണുന്നു;

14 എന്നെ വിടുക; ഞാന്‍ അവരെ നശിപ്പിച്ചു അവരുടെ പേര്‍ ആകാശത്തിന്‍ കീഴില്‍നിന്നു മായിച്ചുകളയും; നിന്നെ അവരെക്കാള്‍ ബലവും വലിപ്പവുമുള്ള ജാതിയാക്കും എന്നും യഹോവ എന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

15 അങ്ങനെ ഞാന്‍ തിരിഞ്ഞു പര്‍വ്വതത്തില്‍നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങി; പര്‍വ്വതം തീ കാളിക്കത്തുകയായിരുന്നു; നിയമത്തിന്റെ പലക രണ്ടും എന്റെ രണ്ടു കയ്യിലും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

16 ഞാന്‍ നോക്കിയാറെ നിങ്ങള്‍ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയോടു പാപംചെയ്തു ഒരു കാളകൂട്ടിയെ വാര്‍ത്തുണ്ടാക്കി യഹോവ നിങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ച വഴി വേഗത്തില്‍ വിട്ടുമാറിയിരുന്നതു കണ്ടു.

17 അപ്പോള്‍ ഞാന്‍ പലക രണ്ടും എന്റെ രണ്ടുകയ്യില്‍നിന്നു നിങ്ങള്‍ കാണ്‍കെ എറിഞ്ഞു ഉടെച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

18 പിന്നെ യഹോവയെ കോപിപ്പിപ്പാന്‍ തക്കവണ്ണം നിങ്ങള്‍ അവന്നു അനിഷ്ടമായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ച നിങ്ങളുടെ സകലപാപങ്ങളും നിമിത്തം ഞാന്‍ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില്‍ മുമ്പിലത്തെപ്പോലെ നാല്പതു രാവും നാല്പതു പകലും വീണു കിടന്നു; ഞാന്‍ ആഹാരം കഴിക്കയോ വെള്ളം കുടിക്കയോ ചെയ്തില്ല.

19 യഹോവ നിങ്ങളെ നശിപ്പിക്കുമാറു നിങ്ങളുടെ നേരെ കോപിച്ച കോപവും ക്രോധവും ഞാന്‍ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു; എന്നാല്‍ യഹോവ ആ പ്രാവശ്യവും എന്റെ അപേക്ഷ കേട്ടു.

20 അഹരോനെ നശിപ്പിക്കുമാറു അവന്റെ നേരെയും യഹോവ ഏറ്റവും കോപിച്ചു; എന്നാല്‍ ഞാന്‍ അന്നു അഹരോന്നു വേണ്ടിയും അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

21 നിങ്ങള്‍ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപമായ കാളകൂട്ടിയെ ഞാന്‍ എടുത്തു തീയില്‍ ഇട്ടു ചുട്ടുനന്നായി അരെച്ചു നേരിയ പൊടിയാക്കി പൊടി പര്‍വ്വതത്തില്‍നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങുന്ന തോട്ടില്‍ ഇട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു.

22 തബേരയിലും മസ്സയിലും കിബ്രോത്ത്-ഹത്താവയിലുംവെച്ചു നിങ്ങള്‍ യഹോവയെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചു.

23 നിങ്ങള്‍ ചെന്നു ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു തന്നിട്ടുള്ള ദേശം കൈവശമാക്കുവിന്‍ എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു യഹോവ നിങ്ങളെ കാദേശ്--ബര്‍ന്നേയയില്‍നിന്നു അയച്ചപ്പോഴും നിങ്ങള്‍ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനയോടു മറുത്തു; അവനെ വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ല; അവന്റെ വാക്കു അനുസരിച്ചതുമില്ല.

24 ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളെ അറിഞ്ഞ നാള്‍മുതല്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ യഹോവയോടു മത്സരികളായിരിക്കുന്നു.

25 യഹോവ നിങ്ങളെ നശിപ്പിക്കുമെന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന്‍ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില്‍ നാല്പതു രാവും നാല്പതു പകലും വീണുകിടന്നു;

26 ഞാന്‍ യഹോവയോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞതുകര്‍ത്താവായ യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ മഹത്വംകൊണ്ടു നീ വീണ്ടെടുത്തു ബലമുള്ള കയ്യാല്‍ മിസ്രയീമില്‍നിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നിന്റെ ജനത്തെയും നിന്റെ അവകാശത്തെയും നശിപ്പിക്കരുതേ.

27 അബ്രാഹാം, യിസ്ഹാക്, യാക്കോബ് എന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരെ ഔര്‍ക്കേണമേ; താന്‍ അവര്‍ക്കും വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തിരുന്ന ദേശത്തു അവരെ എത്തിപ്പാന്‍ യഹോവേക്കു കഴിയായ്കകൊണ്ടും അവന്‍ അവരെ പകെച്ചതുകൊണ്ടും അവരെ കൊണ്ടുപോയി മരുഭൂമിയില്‍വെച്ചു കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു എന്നു നീ ഞങ്ങളെ വിടുവിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോന്ന ദേശക്കാര്‍ പറയാതിരിപ്പാന്‍

28 ഈ ജനത്തിന്റെ ശഠതയും അവരുടെ അകൃത്യവും പാപവും നോക്കരുതേ.

29 അവര്‍ നിന്റെ മഹാബലംകൊണ്ടും നീട്ടിയ ഭുജംകൊണ്ടും നീ പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നിന്റെ ജനവും നിന്റെ അവകാശവും അല്ലോ.
