1 അനന്തരം യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതു എന്തെന്നാല്‍ നീയും മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു നീ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന ജനവും ഇവിടെ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു, നിന്റെ സന്തതിക്കു കൊടുക്കുമെന്നു ഞാന്‍ അബ്രാഹാമിനോടും യിസ്ഹാക്കിനോടും യാക്കോബിനോടും സത്യംചെയ്ത ദേശത്തേക്കു,
2 പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ദേശത്തേക്കു, തന്നേ, പോകുവിന്‍ . ഞാന്‍ ഒരു ദൂതനെ നിനക്കു മുമ്പായി അയക്കും; കനാന്യന്‍ , അമോര്‍യ്യന്‍ , ഹിത്യന്‍ , പെരിസ്യന്‍ , ഹിവ്യന്‍ , യെബൂസ്യന്‍ എന്നിവരെ ഞാന്‍ ഔടിച്ചുകളയും.
3 വഴിയില്‍വെച്ചു ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ നശിപ്പിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന്‍ നിന്റെ നടുവില്‍ നടക്കയില്ല; നീ ദുശ്ശാഠ്യമുള്ള ജനം ആകുന്നു.
4 ദോഷകരമായ ഈ വചനം കേട്ടപ്പോള്‍ ജനം ദുഃഖിച്ചു; ആരും തന്റെ ആഭരണം ധരിച്ചതുമില്ല.
5 നിങ്ങള്‍ ദുശ്ശാഠ്യമുള്ള ജനം ആകുന്നു; ഞാന്‍ ഒരു നിമിഷനേരം നിന്റെ നടുവില്‍ നടന്നാല്‍ നിന്നെ സംഹരിച്ചുകളയും; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന്‍ നിന്നോടു എന്തു ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ നിന്റെ ആഭരണം നീക്കിക്കളക എന്നിങ്ങനെ യിസ്രായേല്‍ മക്കളോടു പറക എന്നു യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചിരുന്നു.
6 അങ്ങനെ ഹോരേബ് പര്‍വ്വതത്തിങ്കല്‍ തുടങ്ങി യിസ്രായേല്‍മക്കള്‍ ആഭരണം ധരിച്ചില്ല.
7 മോശെ കൂടാരം എടുത്തു പാളയത്തിന്നു പുറത്തു പാളയത്തില്‍നിന്നു ദൂരത്തു അടിച്ചു; അതിന്നു സമാഗമനക്കുടാരം എന്നു പേര്‍ ഇട്ടു. യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവനെല്ലാം പുറപ്പെട്ടു പാളയത്തിന്നു പുറത്തുള്ള സമാഗമന കൂടാരത്തിലേക്കു ചെന്നു.
8 മോശെ കൂടാരത്തിലേക്കു പോകുമ്പോള്‍ ജനം ഒക്കെയും എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഒരോരുത്തന്‍ താന്താന്റെ കൂടാരവാതില്‍ക്കല്‍ നിന്നു, മോശെ കൂടാരത്തിന്നകത്തു കടക്കുവേളം അവനെ നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
9 മോശെ കൂടാരത്തില്‍ കടക്കുമ്പോള്‍ മേഘസ്തംഭം ഇറങ്ങി കൂടാരവാതില്‍ക്കല്‍ നില്‍ക്കയും യഹോവ മോശെയോടു സംസാരിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.
10 ജനം എല്ലാം കൂടാരവാതില്‍ക്കല്‍ മേഘസ്തംഭം നിലക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു. ജനം എല്ലാം എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഔരോരുത്തന്‍ താന്താന്റെ കൂടാരവാതില്‍ക്കല്‍വെച്ചു നമസ്കരിച്ചു.
11 ഒരുത്തന്‍ തന്റെ സ്നേഹിതനോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്നതു പോലെ യഹോവ മോശെയോടു അഭിമുഖമായി സംസാരിച്ചു. പിന്നെ അവന്‍ പാളയത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവന്നു; അവന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരനായ നൂന്റെ പുത്രനായ യോശുവ എന്ന ബാല്യക്കാരനോ കൂടാരത്തെ വിട്ടുപിരിയാതിരുന്നു.
12 മോശെ യഹോവയോടു പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാല്‍ഈ ജനത്തെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു പോക എന്നു നീ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചുവല്ലോ; എങ്കിലും ആരെ എന്നോടുകൂടെ അയക്കുമെന്നു അറിയിച്ചുതന്നില്ല; എന്നാല്‍ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ അടുത്തു അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; എനിക്കു നിന്നോടു കൃപ തോന്നിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നീ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ.
13 ആകയാല്‍ എന്നോടു കൃപയുണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ നിന്റെ വഴി എന്നെ അറിയിക്കേണമേ; നിനക്കു എന്നോടു കൃപയുണ്ടാകുവാന്തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ അറിയുമാറാകട്ടെ; ഈ ജാതി നിന്റെ ജനം എന്നു ഔര്‍ക്കേണമേ.
14 അതിന്നു അവന്‍ എന്റെ സാന്നിദ്ധ്യം നിന്നോടുകൂടെ പോരും; ഞാന്‍ നിനക്കു സ്വസ്ഥത നലകും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
15 അവന്‍ അവനോടുതിരുസാന്നിദ്ധ്യം എന്നോടുകൂടെ പോരുന്നില്ല എങ്കില്‍ ഞങ്ങളെ ഇവിടെനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കരുതേ.
16 എന്നോടും നിന്റെ ജനത്തോടും കൃപ ഉണ്ടെന്നുള്ളതു ഏതിനാല്‍ അറിയും? നീ ഞങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ പോരുന്നതിനാലല്ലയോ? അങ്ങനെ ഞാനും നിന്റെ ജനവും ഭൂതലത്തിലുള്ള സകലജാതികളിലുംവെച്ചു വിശേഷതയുള്ളവരായിരിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
17 യഹോവ മോശെയോടുനീ പറഞ്ഞ ഈ വാക്കുപോലെ ഞാന്‍ ചെയ്യും; എനിക്കു നിന്നോടു കൃപ തോന്നിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ അടുത്തു അറിഞ്ഞുമിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
18 അപ്പോള്‍ അവന്‍ നിന്റെ തേജസ്സു എനിക്കു കാണിച്ചു തരേണമേ എന്നപേക്ഷിച്ചു.
19 അതിന്നു അവന്‍ ഞാന്‍ എന്റെ മഹിമ ഒക്കെയും നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ കടക്കുമാറാക്കി യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഘോഷിക്കും; കൃപ ചെയ്‍വാന്‍ എനിക്കു മനസ്സുള്ളവനോടു ഞാന്‍ കൃപ ചെയ്യും; കരുണ കാണിപ്പാന്‍ എനിക്കു മനസ്സുള്ളവന്നു ഞാന്‍ കരുണ കാണിക്കും എന്നരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
20 നിനക്കു എന്റെ മുഖം കാണ്മാന്‍ കഴികയില്ല; ഒരു മനുഷ്യനും എന്നെ കണ്ടു ജീവനോടെ ഇരിക്കയില്ല എന്നും അവന്‍ കല്പിച്ചു.
21 ഇതാ, എന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ ഒരു സ്ഥലം ഉണ്ടു; അവിടെ ആ പാറമേല്‍ നീ നില്‍ക്കേണം.
22 എന്റെ തേജസ്സു കടന്നുപോകുമ്പോള്‍ ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ പാറയുടെ ഒരു പിളര്‍പ്പില്‍ ആക്കി ഞാന്‍ കടന്നുപോകുവോളം എന്റെ കൈകൊണ്ടു നിന്നെ മറെക്കും.
23 പിന്നെ എന്റെ കൈ നീക്കും; നീ എന്റെ പിന്‍ ഭാഗം കാണും; എന്റെ മുഖമോ കാണാവതല്ല എന്നും യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

2 And I will send H7971 an angel H4397 before H6440 thee ; and I will drive out H1644 H853 the Canaanite, H3669 the Amorite, H567 and the Hittite, H2850 and the Perizzite, H6522 the Hivite, H2340 and the Jebusite: H2983
3 Unto H413 a land H776 flowing H2100 with milk H2461 and honey: H1706 for H3588 I will not H3808 go up H5927 in the midst H7130 of thee; for H3588 thou H859 art a stiffnecked H7186 H6203 people: H5971 lest H6435 I consume H3615 thee in the way. H1870
4 And when the people H5971 heard H8085 H853 these H2088 evil H7451 tidings, H1697 they mourned: H56 and no H3808 man H376 did put H7896 on H5921 him his ornaments. H5716
5 For the LORD H3068 had said H559 unto H413 Moses, H4872 Say H559 unto H413 the children H1121 of Israel, H3478 Ye H859 are a stiffnecked H7186 H6203 people: H5971 I will come up H5927 into the midst H7130 of thee in a H259 moment, H7281 and consume H3615 thee : therefore now H6258 put off H3381 thy ornaments H5716 from H4480 H5921 thee , that I may know H3045 what H4100 to do H6213 unto thee.
6 And the children H1121 of Israel H3478 stripped themselves H5337 of H853 their ornaments H5716 by the mount H4480 H2022 Horeb. H2722
7 And Moses H4872 took H3947 H853 the tabernacle, H168 and pitched H5186 it without H4480 H2351 the camp, H4264 afar off H7368 from H4480 the camp, H4264 and called H7121 it the Tabernacle H168 of the congregation. H4150 And it came to pass, H1961 that every one H3605 which sought H1245 the LORD H3068 went out H3318 unto H413 the tabernacle H168 of the congregation, H4150 which H834 was without H4480 H2351 the camp. 8 And it came to pass, H1961 when Moses H4872 went out H3318 unto H413 the tabernacle, H168 that all H3605 the people H5971 rose up, H6965 and stood H5324 every man H376 at his tent H168 door, H6607 and looked H5027 after H310 Moses, H4872 until H5704 he was gone H935 into the tabernacle. H168
9 And it came to pass, H1961 as Moses H4872 entered into H935 the tabernacle, H168 the cloudy H6051 pillar H5982 descended, H3381 and stood H5975 at the door H6607 of the tabernacle, H168 and the LORD talked H1696 with H5973 Moses. H4872
10 And all H3605 the people H5971 saw H7200 H853 the cloudy H6051 pillar H5982 stand H5975 at the tabernacle H168 door: H6607 and all H3605 the people H5971 rose up H6965 and worshiped, H7812 every man H376 in his tent H168 door. H6607
11 And the LORD H3068 spoke H1696 unto H413 Moses H4872 face H6440 to H413 face, H6440 as H834 a man H376 speaketh H1696 unto H413 his friend. H7453 And he turned again H7725 into H413 the camp: H4264 but his servant H8334 Joshua, H3091 the son H1121 of Nun, H5126 a young man, H5288 departed H4185 not H3808 out of H4480 H8432 the tabernacle. 12 And Moses H4872 said H559 unto H413 the LORD, H3068 See, H7200 thou H859 sayest H559 unto H413 me , Bring up H5927 H853 this H2088 people: H5971 and thou H859 hast not H3808 let me know H3045 H853 whom H834 thou wilt send H7971 with H5973 me . Yet thou H859 hast said, H559 I know H3045 thee by name, H8034 and thou hast also H1571 found H4672 grace H2580 in my sight. H5869
13 Now H6258 therefore , I pray thee, H4994 if H518 I have found H4672 grace H2580 in thy sight, H5869 show H3045 me now H4994 H853 thy way, H1870 that H4616 I may know H3045 thee , that I may find H4672 grace H2580 in thy sight: H5869 and consider H7200 that H3588 this H2088 nation H1471 is thy people. H5971
14 And he said, H559 My presence H6440 shall go H1980 with thee , and I will give thee rest. H5117
15 And he said H559 unto H413 him, If H518 thy presence H6440 go H1980 not H369 with me , carry us not up H5927 H408 hence H4480 H2088 .
16 For wherein H4100 shall it be known H3045 here H645 that H3588 I H589 and thy people H5971 have found H4672 grace H2580 in thy sight H5869 ? is it not H3808 in that thou goest H1980 with H5973 us? so shall we be separated, H6395 I H589 and thy people, H5971 from all H4480 H3605 the people H5971 that H834 are upon H5921 the face H6440 of the earth. H127
17 And the LORD H3068 said H559 unto H413 Moses, H4872 I will do H6213 H853 this H2088 thing H1697 also H1571 that H834 thou hast spoken: H1696 for H3588 thou hast found H4672 grace H2580 in my sight, H5869 and I know H3045 thee by name. H8034
18 And he said, H559 I beseech thee, H4994 show H7200 me H853 thy glory. H3519
19 And he said, H559 I H589 will make all H3605 my goodness H2898 pass H5674 before H5921 H6440 thee , and I will proclaim H7121 the name H8034 of the LORD H3068 before H6440 thee ; and will be gracious H2603 H853 to whom H834 I will be gracious, H2603 and will show mercy H7355 H853 on whom H834 I will show mercy. H7355
20 And he said, H559 Thou canst H3201 not H3808 see H7200 H853 my face: H6440 for H3588 there shall no H3808 man H120 see H7200 me , and live. H2425
21 And the LORD H3068 said, H559 Behold, H2009 there is a place H4725 by H854 me , and thou shalt stand H5324 upon H5921 a rock: H6697
22 And it shall come to pass, H1961 while my glory H3519 passeth by, H5674 that I will put H7760 thee in a cleft H5366 of the rock, H6697 and will cover H5526 H5921 thee with my hand H3709 while H5704 I pass by: H5674
23 And I will take away H5493 H853 mine hand, H3709 and thou shalt see H7200 H853 my back parts: H268 but my face H6440 shall not H3808 be seen. H7200
