1 മോശെ മിദ്യാനിലെ പുരോഹിതനും തന്റെ അമ്മായപ്പനുമായ യിത്രോവിന്റെ ആടുകളെ മോയിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; അവന്‍ ആടുകളെ മരുഭൂമിക്കു അപ്പുറത്തു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പര്‍വ്വതമായ ഹോരേബ്വരെ കൊണ്ടു ചെന്നു.
2 അവിടെ യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതന്‍ ഒരു മുള്‍പടര്‍പ്പിന്റെ നടുവില്‍നിന്നു അഗ്നിജ്വാലയില്‍ അവന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി. അവന്‍ നോക്കിയാറെ മുള്‍പടര്‍പ്പു തീ പിടിച്ചു കത്തുന്നതും മുള്‍പടര്‍പ്പു വെന്തുപോകാതിരിക്കുന്നതും കണ്ടു.
3 മുള്‍പടര്‍പ്പു വെന്തുപോകാതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ വലിയ കാഴ്ച എന്തെന്നു ഞാന്‍ ചെന്നു നോക്കട്ടെ എന്നു മോശെ പറഞ്ഞു.
4 നോക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്‍ വരുന്നതു യഹോവ കണ്ടപ്പോള്‍ ദൈവം മുള്‍പടര്‍പ്പിന്റെ നടുവില്‍ നിന്നു അവനെ മോശേ, മോശെ എന്നു വിളിച്ചു. അതിന്നു അവന്‍ ഇതാ, ഞാന്‍ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
5 അപ്പോള്‍ അവന്‍ ഇങ്ങോട്ടു അടുക്കരുതു; നീ നിലക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലം വിശുദ്ധഭൂമിയാകയാല്‍ കാലില്‍നിന്നു ചെരിപ്പു അഴിച്ചുകളക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.
6 ഞാന്‍ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവവും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ ദൈവവും യാക്കോബിന്റെ ദൈവവുമായി, നിന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ ദൈവം ആകുന്നു എന്നും അവന്‍ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു. മോശെ ദൈവത്തെ നോക്കുവാന്‍ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു മുഖം മൂടി.
7 യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുമിസ്രയീമിലുള്ള എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ കഷ്ടത ഞാന്‍ കണ്ടു കണ്ടു; ഊഴിയവിചാരകന്മാര്‍ നിമിത്തമുള്ള അവരുടെ നിലവിളിയും കേട്ടു; ഞാന്‍ അവരുടെ സങ്കടങ്ങള്‍ അറിയുന്നു.
8 അവരെ മിസ്രയീമ്യരുടെ കയ്യില്‍നിന്നു വിടുവിപ്പാനും ആ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു നല്ലതും വിശാലവുമായ ദേശത്തേക്കു, പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ദേശത്തേക്കു, കനാന്യര്‍, ഹിത്യര്‍, അമോര്‍യ്യര്‍, പെരിസ്യര്‍, ഹിവ്യര്‍, യെബൂസ്യര്‍ എന്നവരുടെ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു അവരെ കൊണ്ടുപോകുവാനും ഞാന്‍ ഇറങ്ങിവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
9 യിസ്രായേല്‍മക്കളുടെ നിലവിളി എന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു; മിസ്രയീമ്യര്‍ അവരെ ഞെരുക്കുന്ന ഞെരുക്കവും ഞാന്‍ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
10 ആകയാല്‍ വരിക; നീ എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേല്‍മക്കളെ മിസ്രയീമില്‍നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ ഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ അയക്കും.
11 മോശെ ദൈവത്തോടുഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ പോകുവാനും യിസ്രായേല്‍മക്കളെ മിസ്രയീമില്‍നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിപ്പാനും ഞാന്‍ എന്തു മാത്രമുള്ളു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
12 അതിന്നു അവന്‍ ഞാന്‍ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കും; നീ ജനത്തെ മിസ്രയീമില്‍നിന്നു കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു വരുമ്പോള്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ ഈ പര്‍വ്വതത്തിങ്കല്‍ ദൈവത്തെ ആരാധിക്കുമെന്നുള്ളതു ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ അയച്ചതിന്നു അടയാളം ആകും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
13 മോശെ ദൈവത്തോടുഞാന്‍ യിസ്രായേല്‍മക്കളുടെ അടുക്കല്‍ ചെന്നുനിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവം എന്നെ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല്‍ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറയുമ്പോള്‍അവന്റെ നാമം എന്തെന്നു അവര്‍ എന്നോടു ചോദിച്ചാല്‍ ഞാന്‍ അവരോടു എന്തു പറയേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
14 അതിന്നു ദൈവം മോശെയോടുഞാന്‍ ആകുന്നവന്‍ ഞാന്‍ ആകുന്നു; ഞാന്‍ ആകുന്നു എന്നുള്ളവന്‍ എന്നെ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല്‍ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നിങ്ങനെ നീ യിസ്രായേല്‍മക്കളോടു പറയേണം എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.
15 ദൈവം പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതെന്തന്നാല്‍നീ യിസ്രായേല്‍മക്കളോടു ഇപ്രകാരം പറയേണംഅബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവവും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ ദൈവവും യാക്കോബിന്റെ ദൈവവുമായി നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്നെ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല്‍ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇതു എന്നേക്കും എന്റെ നാമവും തലമുറ തലമുറയായി എന്റെ ജ്ഞാപകവും ആകുന്നു.
16 നീ ചെന്നു യിസ്രായേല്‍മൂപ്പന്മാരെ കൂട്ടി അവരോടുഅബ്രാഹാമിന്റെയും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെയും യാക്കോബിന്റെയും ദൈവമായി, നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എനിക്കു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി കല്പിച്ചതുഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളെയും മിസ്രയീമില്‍ അവര്‍ നിങ്ങളോടു ചെയ്യുന്നതിനെയും സന്ദര്‍ശിക്കുന്നു.
17 മിസ്രയീമിലെ കഷ്ടതയില്‍നിന്നു കനാന്യര്‍, ഹിത്യര്‍, അമോര്‍യ്യര്‍, പെരിസ്യര്‍, ഹിവ്യര്‍, യെബൂസ്യര്‍ എന്നിവരുടെ ദേശത്തേക്കു, പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ദേശത്തേക്കു നിങ്ങളെ കൊണ്ടുപോകുവാന്‍ ഞാന്‍ നിശ്ചയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറക.
18 എന്നാല്‍ അവര്‍ നിന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്‍ക്കും. അപ്പോള്‍ നീയും യിസ്രായേല്‍ മൂപ്പന്മാരും മിസ്രയീംരാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ ചെന്നു അവനോടുഎബ്രായരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കു വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. ആകയാല്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ മൂന്നു ദിവസത്തെ വഴി മരുഭൂമിയില്‍ ചെന്നു ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു യാഗം കഴിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു പറവിന്‍ .
19 എന്നാല്‍ മിസ്രയീംരാജാവു ഭുജബലംകൊണ്ടല്ലാതെ നിങ്ങളെ പോകുവാന്‍ സമ്മതിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന്‍ അറിയുന്നു.
20 അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന്‍ എന്റെ കൈ നീട്ടി മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ നടുവില്‍ ചെയ്‍വാനിരിക്കുന്ന അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെക്കൊണ്ടൊക്കെയും അതിനെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിക്കും; അതിന്റെ ശേഷം അവന്‍ നിങ്ങളെ വിട്ടയക്കും.
21 ഞാന്‍ മിസ്രയീമ്യര്‍ക്കും ഈ ജനത്തോടു കൃപ തോന്നുമാറാക്കും; നിങ്ങള്‍ പോരുമ്പോള്‍ വെറുങ്കയ്യായി പോരേണ്ടിവരികയില്ല.
22 ഔരോ സ്ത്രീ താന്താന്റെ അയല്‍ക്കാരത്തിയോടും വീട്ടില്‍ അതിഥിയായി പാര്‍ക്കുംന്നവളോടും വെള്ളിയാഭരണങ്ങളും പൊന്നാഭരണങ്ങളും വസ്ത്രങ്ങളും ചോദിച്ചുവാങ്ങി നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ധരിപ്പിക്കയും മിസ്രയീമ്യരെ കൊള്ളയിടുകയും വേണം.

9 Now H6258 therefore, behold, H2009 the cry H6818 of the children H1121 of Israel H3478 is come H935 unto H413 me : and I have also H1571 seen H7200 H853 the oppression H3906 wherewith H834 the Egyptians H4714 oppress H3905 them.
10 Come H1980 now H6258 therefore , and I will send H7971 thee unto H413 Pharaoh, H6547 that thou mayest bring forth H3318 H853 my people H5971 the children H1121 of Israel H3478 out of Egypt H4480 H4714 .
11 And Moses H4872 said H559 unto H413 God, H430 Who H4310 am I, H595 that H3588 I should go H1980 unto H413 Pharaoh, H6547 and that H3588 I should bring forth H3318 H853 the children H1121 of Israel H3478 out of Egypt H4480 H4714 ?
12 And he said, H559 Certainly H3588 I will be H1961 with H5973 thee ; and this H2088 shall be a token H226 unto thee, that H3588 I H595 have sent H7971 thee : When thou hast brought forth H3318 H853 the people H5971 out of Egypt H4480 H4714 , ye shall serve H5647 H853 God H430 upon H5921 this H2088 mountain. 13 And Moses H4872 said H559 unto H413 God, H430 Behold, H2009 when I H595 come H935 unto H413 the children H1121 of Israel, H3478 and shall say H559 unto them , The God H430 of your fathers H1 hath sent H7971 me unto H413 you ; and they shall say H559 to me, What H4100 is his name H8034 ? what H4100 shall I say H559 unto H413 them?
14 And God H430 said H559 unto H413 Moses, H4872 I AM H1961 THAT H834 I AM: H1961 and he said, H559 Thus H3541 shalt thou say H559 unto the children H1121 of Israel, H3478 I AM H1961 hath sent H7971 me unto H413 you.
15 And God H430 said H559 moreover H5750 unto H413 Moses, H4872 Thus H3541 shalt thou say H559 unto H413 the children H1121 of Israel, H3478 The LORD H3068 God H430 of your fathers, H1 the God H430 of Abraham, H85 the God H430 of Isaac, H3327 and the God H430 of Jacob, H3290 hath sent H7971 me unto H413 you: this H2088 is my name H8034 forever, H5769 and this H2088 is my memorial H2143 unto all generations H1755 H1755 .
16 Go H1980 , and gather H622 H853 the elders H2205 of Israel H3478 together , and say H559 unto H413 them , The LORD H3068 God H430 of your fathers, H1 the God H430 of Abraham, H85 of Isaac, H3327 and of Jacob, H3290 appeared H7200 unto H413 me, saying, H559 I have surely visited H6485 H6485 you , and seen that which is done H6213 to you in Egypt: H4714
17 And I have said, H559 I will bring you up H5927 H853 out of the affliction H4480 H6040 of Egypt H4714 unto H413 the land H776 of the Canaanites, H3669 and the Hittites, H2850 and the Amorites, H567 and the Perizzites, H6522 and the Hivites, H2340 and the Jebusites, H2983 unto H413 a land H776 flowing H2100 with milk H2461 and honey. 18 And they shall hearken H8085 to thy voice: H6963 and thou shalt come, H935 thou H859 and the elders H2205 of Israel, H3478 unto H413 the king H4428 of Egypt, H4714 and ye shall say H559 unto H413 him , The LORD H3068 God H430 of the Hebrews H5680 hath met H7136 with H5921 us : and now H6258 let us go, H1980 we beseech thee, H4994 three H7969 days' H3117 journey H1870 into the wilderness, H4057 that we may sacrifice H2076 to the LORD H3068 our God. 19 And I H589 am sure H3045 that H3588 the king H4428 of Egypt H4714 will not H3808 let H5414 you go, H1980 no, H3808 not by a mighty H2389 hand. H3027
20 And I will stretch out H7971 H853 my hand, H3027 and smite H5221 H853 Egypt H4714 with all H3605 my wonders H6381 which H834 I will do H6213 in the midst H7130 thereof : and after H310 that H3651 he will let you go. H7971
21 And I will give H5414 this H2088 people H5971 H853 favor H2580 in the sight H5869 of the Egyptians: H4714 and it shall come to pass, H1961 that, when H3588 ye go, H1980 ye shall not H3808 go H1980 empty: H7387
22 But every woman H802 shall borrow H7592 of her neighbor H4480 H7934 , and of her that sojourneth H4480 H1481 in her house, H1004 jewels H3627 of silver, H3701 and jewels H3627 of gold, H2091 and raiment: H8071 and ye shall put H7760 them upon H5921 your sons, H1121 and upon H5921 your daughters; H1323 and ye shall spoil H5337 H853 the Egyptians.
