1 മുപ്പതാം ആണ്ടു നാലാം മാസം അഞ്ചാം തിയ്യതി ഞാന്‍ കെബാര്‍നദീതീരത്തു പ്രവാസികളുടെ ഇടയില്‍ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗം തുറന്നു ഞാന്‍ ദിവ്യദര്‍ശനങ്ങളെ കണ്ടു.

2 യെഹോയാഖീന്‍ രാജാവിന്റെ പ്രവാസത്തിന്റെ അഞ്ചാം ആണ്ടില്‍ മേല്പറഞ്ഞ മാസം അഞ്ചാം തിയ്യതി തന്നേ,

3 കല്ദയദേശത്തു കെബാര്‍നദീതീരത്തുവെച്ചു ബൂസിയുടെ മകന്‍ യെഹെസ്കേല്‍ പുരോഹിതന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു ഉണ്ടായി; അവിടെ യഹോവയുടെ കയ്യും അവന്റെമേല്‍ വന്നു.

4 ഞാന്‍ നോക്കിയപ്പോള്‍ വടക്കുനിന്നു ഒരു കൊടുങ്കാറ്റും വലിയോരു മേഘവും പാളിക്കത്തുന്ന തീയും വരുന്നതു കണ്ടു; അതിന്റെ ചുറ്റും ഒരു പ്രകാശവും അതിന്റെ നടുവില്‍ നിന്നു, തീയുടെ നടുവില്‍നിന്നു തന്നേ, ശുക്ളസ്വര്‍ണ്ണംപോലെ ഒരു കാഴ്ചയും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

5 അതിന്റെ നടുവില്‍ നാലു ജീവികളുടെ സാദൃശ്യം കണ്ടു; അവയുടെ രൂപമോഅവേക്കു മനുഷ്യസാദൃശ്യം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

6 ഔരോന്നിന്നു നന്നാലു മുഖവും നന്നാലു ചിറകും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

7 അവയുടെ കാല്‍ ചൊവ്വുള്ളതും കാലടി കാളക്കിടാവിന്റെ കുളമ്പുപോലെയും ആയിരുന്നു; മിനുക്കിയ താമ്രംപോലെ അവ മിന്നിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

8 അവേക്കു നാലു ഭാഗത്തും ചിറകിന്റെ കീഴായി മനുഷ്യക്കൈ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; നാലിന്നും മുഖങ്ങളും ചിറകുകളും ഇങ്ങനെ ആയിരുന്നു.

9 അവയുടെ ചിറകുകള്‍ ഒന്നോടൊന്നു തൊട്ടിരുന്നു; പോകുമ്പോള്‍ അവ തിരിയാതെ ഔരോന്നും നേരെ മുമ്പോട്ടു പോകും.

10 അവയുടെ മുഖരൂപമോഅവേക്കു മനുഷ്യമുഖം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; നാലിന്നും വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു സിംഹമുഖവും ഇടത്തുഭാഗത്തു കാളമുഖവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; നാലിന്നും കഴുകുമുഖവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

11 ഇങ്ങനെയായിരുന്നു അവയുടെ മുഖങ്ങള്‍; അവയുടെ ചിറകുകള്‍ മേല്‍ഭാഗം വിടര്‍ന്നിരുന്നു; ഈരണ്ടു ചിറകു തമ്മില്‍ തൊട്ടും ഈരണ്ടു ചിറകുകൊണ്ടു ശരീരം മറെച്ചും ഇരുന്നു.

12 അവ ഔരോന്നും നേരെ മുമ്പോട്ടു പോകും; പോകുമ്പോള്‍ അവ തിരിയാതെ ആത്മാവിന്നു പോകേണ്ടിയ ഇടത്തേക്കു തന്നേ പോകും.

13 ജീവികളുടെ നടുവില്‍ കത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന തീക്കനല്‍പോലെയും പന്തങ്ങള്‍ പോലെയും ഒരു കാഴ്ച ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അതു ജീവികളുടെ ഇടയില്‍ സഞ്ചരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; ആ തീ തേജസ്സുള്ളതായിരുന്നു. തീയില്‍നിന്നു മിന്നല്‍ പുറപ്പെട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

14 ജീവികള്‍ മിന്നല്‍പോലെ അങ്ങോട്ടും ഇങ്ങോട്ടും ഔടിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

15 ഞാന്‍ ജീവികളെ നോക്കിയപ്പോള്‍ നിലത്തു ജീവികളുടെ അരികെ നാലു മുഖത്തിന്നും നേരെ ഔരോ ചക്രം കണ്ടു.

16 ചക്രങ്ങളുടെ കാഴ്ചയും പണിയും പുഷ്പരാഗത്തിന്റെ കാഴ്ചപോലെ ആയിരുന്നു; അവേക്കു നാലിന്നും ഒരു ഭാഷ തന്നേ ആയിരുന്നു; അവയുടെ കാഴ്ചയും പണിയും ചക്രത്തില്‍കൂടി മറ്റൊരു ചക്രം ഉള്ളതുപോലെ ആയിരുന്നു.

17 അവേക്കു നാലുഭാഗത്തേക്കും പോകാം; തിരിവാന്‍ ആവശ്യമില്ല.

18 അവയുടെ വട്ടു പൊക്കമേറിയതും ഭയങ്കരവും ആയിരുന്നു; നാലിന്റെയും വട്ടുകള്‍ക്കു ചുറ്റും അടുത്തടുത്തു കണ്ണുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

19 ജീവികള്‍ പോകുമ്പോള്‍ ചക്രങ്ങളും ചേരത്തന്നേ പോകും; ജീവകള്‍ ഭൂമിയില്‍നിന്നു പൊങ്ങുമ്പോള്‍ ചക്രങ്ങളും പൊങ്ങും.

20 ആത്മാവിന്നു പോകേണ്ടിയ ഇടത്തൊക്കെയും അവ പോകും; ജീവികളുടെ ആത്മാവു ചക്രങ്ങളില്‍ ആയിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ചക്രങ്ങള്‍ അവയോടുകൂടെ പൊങ്ങും.

21 ജീവികളുടെ തലെക്കു മീതെ ഭയങ്കരമായോരു പളുങ്കുപോലെയുള്ള ഒരു വിതാനത്തിന്റെ രൂപം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അതു അവയുടെ തലെക്കു മീതെ വിരിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.

22 വിതാനത്തിന്റെ കീഴെ അവയുടെ ചിറകുകള്‍ നേക്കുനേരെ വിടര്‍ന്നിരുന്നു; അതതിന്റെ ശരീരത്തെ ഈ ഭാഗവും ആ ഭാഗവും മൂടുവാന്‍ ഔരോന്നിന്നും ഈരണ്ടുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

23 അവ പോകുമ്പോള്‍ ചിറകുകളുടെ ഇരെച്ചല്‍ വലിയ വെള്ളത്തിന്റെ ഇരെച്ചല്‍പോലെയും സര്‍വ്വശക്തന്റെ നാദംപോലെയും ഒരു സൈന്യത്തിന്റെ ആരവം പോലെയും ഉള്ള മുഴക്കമായി ഞാന്‍ കേട്ടു; നിലക്കുമ്പോള്‍ അവ ചിറകു താഴ്ത്തും.

24 അവയുടെ തലെക്കു മീതെയുള്ള വിതാനത്തിന്മേല്‍ നിന്നു ഒരു നാദം പുറപ്പെട്ടു; നിലക്കുമ്പോള്‍ അവ ചിറകു താഴ്ത്തും.

25 അവയുടെ തലെക്കു മീതെയുള്ള വിതാനത്തിന്നു മീതെ നീലക്കല്ലിന്റെ കാഴ്ചപോലെ സിംഹാസനത്തിന്റെ രൂപവും സിംഹാസനത്തിന്റെ രൂപത്തിന്മേല്‍ അതിന്നു മീതെ മനുഷ്യസാദൃശ്യത്തില്‍ ഒരു രൂപവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

26 അവന്റെ അരമുതല്‍ മേലോട്ടു അതിന്നകത്തു ചുറ്റും തിക്കൊത്ത ശുക്ളസ്വര്‍ണ്ണംപോലെ ഞാന്‍ കണ്ടു; അവന്റെ അരമുതല്‍ കീഴോട്ടു തീ പോലെ ഞാന്‍ കണ്ടു; അതിന്റെ ചുറ്റും പ്രകാശവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

27 അതിന്റെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള പ്രകാശം മഴയുള്ള ദിവസത്തില്‍ മേഘത്തില്‍ കാണുന്ന വില്ലിന്റെ കാഴ്ചപോലെ ആയിരുന്നു. യഹോവയുടെ മഹത്വത്തിന്റെ പ്രത്യക്ഷത ഇങ്ങനെ ആയിരുന്നു കണ്ടതു; അതു കണ്ടിട്ടു ഞാന്‍ കവിണ്ണുവീണു; സംസാരിക്കുന്ന ഒരുത്തന്റെ ശബ്ദവും ഞാന്‍ കേട്ടു.
