1 അവന്‍ എന്നോടുമനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ കാണുന്നതു തിന്നുകഈ ചുരുള്‍ തിന്നിട്ടു ചെന്നു യിസ്രായേല്‍ഗൃഹത്തോടു സംസാരിക്ക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

2 ഞാന്‍ വായ്തുറന്നു, അവന്‍ ആ ചുരുള്‍ എനിക്കു തിന്മാന്‍ തന്നു എന്നോടു

3 മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, ഞാന്‍ നിനക്കു തരുന്ന ഈ ചുരുള്‍ നീ വയറ്റില്‍ ആക്കി ഉദരം നിറെക്ക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു; അങ്ങനെ ഞാന്‍ അതു തിന്നു; അതു വായില്‍ തേന്‍ പോലെ മധുരമായിരുന്നു.

4 പിന്നെ അവന്‍ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുമനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ യിസ്രായേല്‍ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ ചെന്നു എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ അവരോടു പ്രസ്താവിക്ക.

5 അവ്യക്തവാക്കും കനത്ത നാവും ഉള്ള ജാതിയുടെ അടുക്കല്‍ അല്ല, യിസ്രായേല്‍ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കലത്രേ നിന്നെ അയക്കുന്നതു;

6 അവ്യക്തവാക്കും കനത്ത നാവും ഉള്ളവരായി, നിനക്കു വാക്കു ഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൂടാത്ത അനേകം ജാതികളുടെ അടുക്കലല്ല; അവരുടെ അടുക്കല്‍ ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ അയച്ചെങ്കില്‍ അവര്‍ നിന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്‍ക്കുമായിരുന്നു.

7 യിസ്രായേല്‍ഗൃഹമോ നിന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്‍ക്കയില്ല; എന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്‍പ്പാന്‍ അവര്‍ക്കും മനസ്സില്ലല്ലോ; യിസ്രായേല്‍ഗൃഹമൊക്കെയും കടുത്ത നെറ്റിയും കഠിനഹൃദയവും ഉള്ളവരത്രെ.

8 എന്നാല്‍ ഞാന്‍ നിന്റെ മുഖം അവരുടെ മുഖത്തിന്നു നേരെ കഠിനവും നിന്റെ നെറ്റി അവരുടെ നെറ്റിക്കു നേരെ കടുപ്പവും ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

9 ഞാന്‍ നിന്റെ നെറ്റി തീക്കല്ലിനെക്കാള്‍ കടുപ്പമുള്ള വജ്രംപോലെ ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവര്‍ മത്സരഗൃഹമെങ്കിലും നീ അവരെ പേടിക്കരുതു; അവരുടെ നോട്ടം കണ്ടു ഭ്രമിക്കയുമരുതു.

10 അവന്‍ പിന്നെയും എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുമനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, ഞാന്‍ നിന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്ന വചനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും ചെവികൊണ്ടു കേട്ടു ഹൃദയത്തില്‍ കൈക്കൊള്‍ക.

11 നീ നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്‍ പുത്രന്മാരായ പ്രവാസികളുടെ അടുക്കല്‍ ചെന്നു, അവര്‍ കേട്ടാലും കേള്‍ക്കാഞ്ഞാലും അവരോടു സംസാരിച്ചുയഹോവയായ കര്‍ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു പറക.

12 അപ്പോള്‍ ആത്മാവു എന്നെ എടുത്തുയഹോവയുടെ മഹത്വം സ്വസ്ഥലത്തുനിന്നു അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ എന്നു ഞാന്‍ വലിയ മുഴക്കത്തോടെ ഒരു ശബ്ദം എന്റെ പിറകില്‍ കേട്ടു.

13 ജീവികളുടെ ചിറകു തമ്മില്‍ തട്ടുന്ന ഒച്ചയും അവയുടെ അരികെയുള്ള ചക്രങ്ങളുടെ ഇരെച്ചലും വലിയ മുഴക്കമുള്ളോരു ശബ്ദവും ഞാന്‍ കേട്ടു.

14 ആത്മാവു എന്നെ എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടുപോയി; ഞാന്‍ വ്യസനത്തോടും മനസ്സിന്റെ ഉഷ്ണത്തോടും കൂടെ പോയി, യഹോവയുടെ കൈ ശക്തിയോടെ എന്റെ മേല്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

15 അങ്ങനെ ഞാന്‍ കെബാര്‍നദീതീരത്തു പാര്‍ത്ത തേല്‍-ആബീബിലെ പ്രവാസികളുടെ അടുക്കല്‍, അവര്‍ പാര്‍ത്തെടത്തു തന്നേ എത്തി, അവരുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ ഏഴു ദിവസം സ്തംഭിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു പാര്‍ത്തു.

16 ഏഴു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതു എന്തെന്നാല്‍

17 മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ യിസ്രായേല്‍ഗൃഹത്തിന്നു കാവല്‍ക്കാരനാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ എന്റെ വായില്‍നിന്നു വചനം കേട്ടു എന്റെ നാമത്തില്‍ അവരെ പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കേണം.

18 ഞാന്‍ ദുഷ്ടനോടുനീ മരിക്കും എന്നു കല്പിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ നീ അവനെ ഔര്‍പ്പിക്കയോ ദുഷ്ടനെ ജീവനോടെ രക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്‍ തന്റെ ദുര്‍മ്മാര്‍ഗ്ഗം വിടുവാന്‍ അവനെ ഔര്‍പ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടും ഒന്നും പറകയോ ചെയ്യാഞ്ഞാല്‍, ദുഷ്ടന്‍ തന്റെ അകൃത്യത്തില്‍ മരിക്കും; അവന്റെ രക്തമോ ഞാന്‍ നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കും.

19 എന്നാല്‍ നീ ദുഷ്ടനെ ഔര്‍പ്പിച്ചിട്ടും അവന്‍ തന്റെ ദുഷ്ടതയും ദുര്‍മ്മാര്‍ഗ്ഗവും വിട്ടുതിരിയുന്നില്ലെങ്കില്‍ അവന്‍ തന്റെ അകൃത്യത്തില്‍ മരിക്കും; നീയോ നിന്റെ പ്രാണനെ രക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

20 അഥവാ, നീതിമാന്‍ തന്റെ നീതി വിട്ടുമാറി നീതികേടു പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചിട്ടു ഞാന്‍ അവന്റെ മുമ്പില്‍ ഇടര്‍ച്ച വെക്കുന്നുവെങ്കില്‍ അവന്‍ മരിക്കും; നീ അവനെ ഔര്‍പ്പിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു അവന്‍ തന്റെ പാപത്തില്‍ മരിക്കും; അവന്‍ ചെയ്ത നീതി അവന്നു കണക്കിടുകയുമില്ല; അവന്റെ രക്തമോ ഞാന്‍ നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കും.

21 എന്നാല്‍ നീതിമാന്‍ പാപം ചെയ്യാതെയിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ നീതിമാനെ ഔര്‍പ്പിച്ചിട്ടു അവന്‍ പാപം ചെയ്യാതെ ഇരുന്നാല്‍, അവന്‍ പ്രബോധനം കൈക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കയാല്‍ അവന്‍ ജീവിക്കും; നീയും നിന്റെ പ്രാണനെ രക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

22 യഹോവയുടെ കൈ അവിടെ പിന്നെയും എന്റെമേല്‍ വന്നു; അവന്‍ എന്നോടുനീ എഴുന്നേറ്റു സമഭൂമിയിലേക്കു പോക; അവിടെവെച്ചു ഞാന്‍ നിന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

23 അങ്ങനെ ഞാന്‍ എഴുന്നേറ്റു സമഭൂമിയിലേക്കു പോയി; ഞാന്‍ കെബാര്‍ നദീതീരത്തു കണ്ട മഹത്വംപോലെ അവിടെ യഹോവയുടെ മഹത്വം നിലക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു ഞാന്‍ കവിണ്ണുവീണു.

24 അപ്പോള്‍ ആത്മാവു എന്നില്‍ വന്നു എന്നെ നിവര്‍ന്നുനിലക്കുമാറാക്കി, എന്നോടു സംസാരിച്ചുനീ ചെന്നു നിന്റെ വീട്ടിന്നകത്തു കതകടെച്ചു പാര്‍ക്ക.

25 എന്നാല്‍ മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നിനക്കു അവരുടെ ഇടയില്‍ പെരുമാറുവാന്‍ കഴിയാതവണ്ണം അവര്‍ നിന്നെ കയറുകൊണ്ടു കെട്ടും.

26 നീ ഊമനായി അവര്‍ക്കും ശാസകനാകാതെയിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന്‍ നിന്റെ നാവിനെ നിന്റെ അണ്ണാക്കോടു പറ്റുമാറാക്കും; അവര്‍ മത്സരഗൃഹമല്ലോ.

27 ഞാന്‍ നിന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ഞാന്‍ നിന്റെ വായി തുറക്കും; നീ അവരോടുയഹോവയായ കര്‍ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു പറയേണം; കേള്‍ക്കുന്നവന്‍ കേള്‍ക്കട്ടെ; കേള്‍ക്കാത്തവന്‍ കേള്‍ക്കാതെ ഇരിക്കട്ടെ; അവര്‍ മത്സരഗൃഹമല്ലോ.

5 For ^H3588 thou ^H859 art not ^H3808 sent ^H7971 to ^H413 a people ^H5971 of a strange ^H6012 speech ^H8193 and of a hard ^H3515 language, ^H3956 but to ^H413 the house ^H1004 of Israel; ^H3478

6 Not ^H3808 to ^H413 many ^H7227 people ^H5971 of a strange ^H6012 speech ^H8193 and of a hard ^H3515 language, ^H3956 whose ^H834 words ^H1697 thou canst not ^H3808 understand. ^H8085 Surely ^H518 ^H3808 , had I sent ^H7971 thee to ^H413 them, they ^H1992 would have hearkened ^H8085 unto ^H413 thee.

7 But the house ^H1004 of Israel ^H3478 will ^H14 not ^H3808 hearken ^H8085 unto ^H413 thee; for ^H3588 they will ^H14 not ^H369 hearken ^H8085 unto ^H413 me: for ^H3588 all ^H3605 the house ^H1004 of Israel ^H3478 are impudent ^H2389 ^H4696 and hardhearted ^H7186 ^H3820 .

8 Behold ^H2009 , I have made ^H5414 ^H853 thy face ^H6440 strong ^H2389 against ^H5980 their faces, ^H6440 and ^H853 thy forehead ^H4696 strong ^H2389 against ^H5980 their foreheads. ^H4696

17 Son ^H1121 of man, ^H120 I have made ^H5414 thee a watchman ^H6822 unto the house ^H1004 of Israel: ^H3478 therefore hear ^H8085 the word ^H1697 at my mouth ^H4480 ^H6310 , and give them warning ^H2094 ^H853 from ^H4480 me.

18 When I say ^H559 unto the wicked, ^H7563 Thou shalt surely die ^H4191 ^H4191 ; and thou givest him not warning ^H2094 ^H3808 , nor ^H3808 speakest ^H1696 to warn ^H2094 the wicked ^H7563 from his wicked ^H7563 way ^H4480 ^H1870 , to save his life; ^H2421 the same ^H1931 wicked ^H7563 man shall die ^H4191 in his iniquity; ^H5771 but his blood ^H1818 will I require ^H1245 at thine hand ^H4480 ^H3027 .

21 Nevertheless if ^H3588 thou ^H859 warn ^H2094 the righteous ^H6662 man , that the righteous ^H6662 sin ^H2398 not, ^H1115 and he ^H1931 doth not ^H3808 sin, ^H2398 he shall surely live ^H2421 ^H2421 , because ^H3588 he is warned; ^H2094 also thou ^H859 hast delivered ^H5337 ^H853 thy soul. ^H5315

26 And I will make thy tongue ^H3956 cleave ^H1692 to ^H413 the roof of thy mouth, ^H2441 that thou shalt be dumb, ^H481 and shalt not ^H3808 be ^H1961 to them a reprover ^H376 ^H3198 : for ^H3588 they ^H1992 are a rebellious ^H4805 house. ^H1004
