2 ഏശാവ് ഹിത്യനായ ഏലോന്റെ മകള്‍ ആദാ, ഹിവ്യനായ സിബെയോന്റെ മകളായ അനയുടെ മകള്‍ ഒഹൊലീബാ എന്നീ കനാന്യകന്യകമാരെയും

3 യിശ്മായേലിന്റെ മകളും നെബായോത്തിന്റെ സഹോദരിയുമായ ബാസമത്തിനെയും ഭാര്യമാരായി പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

4 ആദാ ഏശാവിന്നു എലീഫാസിനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു; ബാസമത്ത് രെയൂവേലിനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു;

5 ഒഹൊലീബാമാ യെയൂശിനെയും യലാമിനെയും കോരഹിനെയും പ്രസവിച്ചു; ഇവര്‍ ഏശാവിന്നു കനാന്‍ ദേശത്തുവെച്ചു ജനിച്ച പുത്രന്മാര്‍.

6 എന്നാല്‍ ഏശാവ് തന്റെ ഭാര്യമാരെയും പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും വീട്ടിലുള്ളവരെയൊക്കെയും തന്റെ ആടുമാടുകളെയും സകലമൃഗങ്ങളെയും കനാന്‍ ദേശത്തു സമ്പാദിച്ച സമ്പത്തൊക്കെയും കൊണ്ടു തന്റെ സഹോദരനായ യാക്കോബിന്റെ സമീപത്തുനിന്നു ദൂരെ ഒരു ദേശത്തേക്കു പോയി.

7 അവര്‍ക്കും ഒന്നിച്ചു പാര്‍പ്പാന്‍ വഹിയാതവണ്ണം അവരുടെ സമ്പത്തു അധികമായിരുന്നു; അവരുടെ ആടുമാടുകള്‍ ഹേതുവായി അവര്‍ പരദേശികളായി പാര്‍ത്തിരുന്ന ദേശത്തിന്നു അവരെ വഹിച്ചുകൂടാതെയിരുന്നു.

8 അങ്ങനെ എദോം എന്നും പേരുള്ള ഏശാവ് സേയീര്‍ പര്‍വ്വതത്തില്‍ കുടിയിരുന്നു.

9 സേയീര്‍പര്‍വ്വതത്തിലുള്ള എദോമ്യരുടെ പിതാവായ ഏശാവിന്റെ വംശപാരമ്പര്യമാവിതു

10 ഏശാവിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ പേരുകള്‍ ഇവഏശാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ ആദയുടെ മകന്‍ എലീഫാസ്; ഏശാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ ബാസമത്തിന്റെ മകന്‍ രെയൂവേല്‍.

11 എലീഫാസിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്‍തേമാന്‍ , ഔമാര്‍, സെഫോ, ഗത്ഥാം, കെനസ്.

12 തിമ്നാ എന്നവള്‍ ഏശാവിന്റെ മകനായ എലീഫാസിന്റെ വെപ്പാട്ടി ആയിരുന്നു. അവള്‍ എലീഫാസിന്നു അമാലേക്കിനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു; ഇവര്‍ ഏശാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ ആദയുടെ പുത്രന്മാര്‍.

13 രെയൂവേലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്‍നഹത്ത്, സേറഹ്, ശമ്മാ, മിസ്സാ; ഇവര്‍ ഏശാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ ബാസമത്തിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്‍.

14 സിബെയോന്റെ മകളായ അനയുടെ മകള്‍ ഒഹൊലീബാമാ എന്ന ഏശാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയുടെ പുത്രന്മാര്‍ ആരെന്നാല്‍അവള്‍ ഏശാവിന്നു യെയൂശ്, യലാം, കോരഹ് എന്നിവരെ പ്രസവിച്ചു.

15 ഏശാവിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിലെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാര്‍ ആരെന്നാല്‍ഏശാവിന്റെ ആദ്യജാതന്‍ എലീഫാസിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്‍തേമാന്‍ പ്രഭു, ഔമാര്‍പ്രഭു, സെഫോപ്രഭു, കെനസ്പ്രഭു,

16 കോരഹ്പ്രഭു, ഗത്ഥാംപ്രഭു, അമാലേക്പ്രഭു; ഇവര്‍ ഏദോംദേശത്തു എലീഫാസില്‍നിന്നു ഉത്ഭവിച്ച പ്രഭുക്കന്മാര്‍; ഇവര്‍ ആദയുടെ പുത്രന്മാര്‍.

17 ഏശാവിന്റെ മകനായ രെയൂവേലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്‍ ആരെന്നാല്‍നഹത്ത്പ്രഭു, സേരഹ്പ്രഭു, ശമ്മാപ്രഭു, മിസ്സാപ്രഭു, ഇവര്‍ എദോംദേശത്തു രെയൂവേലില്‍ നിന്നു ഉത്ഭവിച്ച പ്രഭുക്കന്മാര്‍, ഇവര്‍ ഏശാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യ ബാസമത്തിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്‍.

18 ഏശാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ ഒഹൊലീബാമയുടെ പുത്രന്മാര്‍ ആരെന്നാല്‍യെയൂശ്പ്രഭു, യലാംപ്രഭു, കോരഹ്പ്രഭു; ഇവര്‍ അനയുടെ മകളായി ഏശാവിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ ഒഹൊലീബാമയില്‍ നിന്നു ഉത്ഭവിച്ച പ്രഭുക്കന്മാര്‍.

19 ഇവര്‍ എദോം എന്നും പേരുള്ള ഏശാവിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും അവരില്‍നിന്നു ഉത്ഭവിച്ച പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും ആകുന്നു.

20 ഹോര്‍യ്യനായ സേയീരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായി ദേശത്തിലെ പൂര്‍വ്വനിവാസികളായവര്‍ ആരെന്നാല്‍ലോതാന്‍ , ശോബാല്‍, സിബെയോന്‍ ,

21 അനാ, ദീശോന്‍ , ഏസെര്‍, ദീശാന്‍ ; ഇവര്‍ എദോംദേശത്തു സേയീരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ ഹോര്യപ്രഭുക്കന്മാര്‍.

22 ലോതാന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്‍ ഹോരിയും ഹേമാമും ആയിരുന്നു. ലോതാന്റെ സഹോദരി തിമ്നാ.

23 ശോബാലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്‍ ആരെന്നാല്‍അല്‍വാന്‍ , മാനഹത്ത്, ഏബാല്‍, ശെഫോ, ഔനാം.

24 സിബെയോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്‍അയ്യാവും അനാവും ആയിരുന്നു; മരുഭൂമിയില്‍ തന്റെ അപ്പനായ സിബെയോന്റെ കഴുതകളെ മേയക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ചൂടുറവുകള്‍ കണ്ടെത്തിയ അനാ ഇവന്‍ തന്നേ.

25 അനാവിന്റെ മക്കള്‍ ഇവര്‍ദീശോനും അനാവിന്റെ മകള്‍ ഒഹൊലീബാമയും ആയിരുന്നു.

26 ദീശോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്‍ ആരെന്നാല്‍ഹൊദാന്‍ , എശ്ബാന്‍ , യിത്രാന്‍ , കെരാന്‍ .

27 ഏസെരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്‍ ബില്‍ഹാന്‍ , സാവാന്‍ , അക്കാന്‍ .

28 ദീശാന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്‍ ഊസും അരാനും ആയിരുന്നു.

29 ഹോര്‍യ്യപ്രഭുക്കന്മാര്‍ ആരെന്നാല്‍ലോതാന്‍ പ്രഭു, ശോബാല്‍ പ്രഭു, സിബെയോന്‍ പ്രഭു, അനാപ്രഭു,

30 ദീശോന്‍ പ്രഭു, ഏസെര്‍പ്രഭു, ദീശാന്‍ പ്രഭു, ഇവര്‍ സേയീര്‍ദേശത്തു വാണ ഹോര്‍യ്യപ്രഭുക്കന്മാര്‍ ആകുന്നു.

31 യിസ്രായേല്‍മക്കള്‍ക്കു രാജാവുണ്ടാകുംമുമ്പെ എദോംദേശത്തു വാണ രാജാക്കന്മാര്‍ ആരെന്നാല്‍

32 ബെയോരിന്റെ പുത്രനായ ബേല എദോമില്‍ രാജാവായിരുന്നു; അവന്റെ പട്ടണത്തിന്നു ദിന്‍ ഹാബാ എന്നു പേര്‍.

33 ബേല മരിച്ചശേഷം ബൊസ്രക്കാരനായ സേരഹിന്റെ മകന്‍ യോബാബ്, അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവായി.

34 യോബാബ് മരിച്ച ശേഷം തേമാന്യദേശക്കാരനായ ഹൂശാം അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവായി.

35 ഹൂശാം മരിച്ചശേഷം മോവാബ് സമഭൂമിയില്‍വെച്ചു മിദ്യാനെ തോല്പിച്ച ബെദദിന്റെ മകന്‍ ഹദദ് അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവായി; അവന്റെ പട്ടണത്തിന്നു അവീത്ത് എന്നു പേര്‍.

36 ഹദദ് മരിച്ച ശേഷം മസ്രേക്കക്കാരന്‍ സമ്ളാ അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവായി.

37 സമ്ളാ മരിച്ചശേഷം നദീതീരത്തുള്ള രെഹോബോത്ത് പട്ടണക്കാരനായ ശൌല്‍ അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവായി.ാരിന്റെ മകന്‍ ബാല്‍ഹാനാന്‍ അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവായി. മെഹേതബേല്‍ എന്നു പേര്‍; അവള്‍ മേസാഹാബിന്റെ മകളായ മത്രേദിന്റെ മകള്‍ ആയിരുന്നു.

38 വംശംവംശമായും ദേശംദേശമായും പേരുപേരായും ഏശാവില്‍ നിന്നു ഉത്ഭവിച്ച പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെ പേരുകള്‍ ആവിതുതിമ്നാ പ്രഭു, അല്‍വാ പ്രഭു, യെഥേത്ത് പ്രഭു, ഒഹൊലീബാമാ പ്രഭു,

39 ഏലാപ്രഭു, പീനോന്‍ പ്രഭു, കെനസ്പ്രഭു, തേമാന്‍ പ്രഭു;

40 മിബ്സാര്‍ പ്രഭു, മഗ്ദീയേല്‍ പ്രഭു, ഈരാംപ്രഭു;

41 ഇവര്‍ താന്താങ്ങളുടെ അവകാശദേശത്തും വാസസ്ഥലങ്ങളിലും വാണ എദോമ്യപ്രഭുക്കന്മാര്‍ ആകുന്നു; എദോമ്യരുടെ പിതാവു ഏശാവ് തന്നേ.
